coolkam007 Posted October 27, 2001 Author Share Posted October 27, 2001 .. zip drive is crazy (i hope i'm thinking of the right thing..).. esspecially if you have a cd burner.. cdrs are hecka cheep.. we bought 50 for 7.59 at frys, limit of 3 spindles per coustomer.. so we only got 3, but think of it this way.. thats 150 blank cds.. anywhos sounds like a nice sys. Anyway, I know of all the problems with the P4, but it's what I got for now: P4 1.8 GHz Intel D850GB Mobo (I love the temp sensors on this board.. told me when to get a nice 120 mm fan=] ) 128 MB RDRAM (stupid P4 ram.. I should've waited before I got a p4, at least they have DDR support now... ) Visiontek OEM GeForce3 video card - 64 MB SB Live! Value (yeah yeah, I know.. cheap card..) 4 usb ports Linksys IEEE 1394 card(firewire) 2 LinkSys NIC's 10/100 16x DVD-ROM (forget the CD read speed, probably 40 or 50) 8x4x32x cdrw (got this thing in march 2000 - paid 300 bucks) 56K useless modem - no purpose for it.. just for back up... Eh.. I believe that's pretty much it... ooh.. 19 inch monitor.. but that's it for now [edit] forgot hard drive - measly 40 gigs.. didn't go too far. Fall Posted October 28, 2001 Share Posted October 28, 2001 Well, here's mine....... 233 pentium 1.96GB (yeah I know, not much) (401MB) 24xMAX CD rom drive 31/2 inch floppy disc drive 56kb modem (slow as hell) (what makes it worse is it's a fax modem, for people out of town) And it's just about stuffed, because the d@mn power on/off swith doesn't work. Which means I have to spend about all day to get it going. The reason why it's stuffed? Well, becuase an ectricity jolt in the morning burnt the wires out inside of it, which means it only turns on if it is warmed up enough..........
