I am am an avid Calvin & Hobbes fan, but, unfortunatly, I am seated next to an ignorant dolt in orchestra who says that Garfield is better. If you don't know what either of these comic strips are, or don't like either of them, please don't waste your time voting. But if you like one better (Calvin and Hobbes), please vote, so that I can print out the results and show them to the ignoramus. All right, from now on, you hafta post why you like either strip, and what makes the strip special to you. I'll go ahead first. 1. I like C & H cause..well...theyre them. 2. This will be much longer. I love the way that Bill waterson draws the strip. I dont think Jim Davis could ever match him at that. Drawing Calvin's imagination, and the fact that he often draws it completely diffrent, like the soap opera spoofs, or the dinosaur strips. I also love the way he perfectly portrays calvin's 6 year old attention span. But the thin gi love most is the fact that he didnt licsense them. Sure, id love to see a calvin & hobbes shirt or sumthin, but it s better this way. Everytime i turn around, i see somthing with Garfield ugly face plasterd on it, and it gets very annoying. I also wouldnt want the question of Hobbe's existence (whether or not he's a doll that comes to life, or if hes a figment of Calvins imagination) to be setteled by a doll company. I love how he protrays a 6 year old's life. One of my favorite ones, is when He says he will write and autobiography, and Hobbes goes but your only six, and then he goes I only have on piece of paper! I also like all of his camping ones!
