I was listening to my Good Charlotte CD when Bloody Valentine came on. That's when I thought 'Hey, why don't I ask people what songs creep them out in some way. And then have them discribe why the song or songs creep them out.

The one that I can think of right now is of course Bloody Valentine by Good Charlotte

The song is about this guy who was really jealous of this guy who liked this girl that he liked and so the guy killed his competition. NIce huh?

Well, that's not the end of the story, after that he called the girl on the phone and told her what he had done.

I think one of the freakiest things about this song is that it has such an up beat tempo. Oh and the fact that it's a song about this guy telling his crush that he killed her boyfriend.

So, what are your choices?

One of the creepiest songs lyrics wise that I can think of the top of my head at this current moment would have to be Cradle of Filth's song. Her Ghost In The Fog.

The story begins like this, everyone accuses this women of being a witch and her and her husband have to deal with the fact of other people accusing her all the time because this story was set back in Medieval times and it hasn't gotten to the point of where she has been executed or anything she still lives a free life. But one night she's out while it's snowing in the forest and five men from the town, well this part is a little graphic so I will put it in a spoiler thing.
They basically, raped and killed her
leaving her there in the snow to be found. Now her husband found her there dead, lying on the cold white snow and he knew had to exact vengeance on the ones who had committed this heinous crime.

So, one Sunday morning when everyone was at church he locked the doors, locking everyone into the church without them knowing at that point, and he set fire to the church killing every single one of them.

Some key stanzas to this song are

That fateful Eve when...
The trees stank of sunset and camphor
Their lanterns chased phantoms and threw
An imquisitive glance, like the shadows they cast
On my love picking rue by the light of the moon
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Dawn discovered Her there
Beneath the Cedar's stare
Silk dress torn, Her raven hair
Flown to gown Her beauty bared
Was starred with frost, I knew Her lost
I wept 'til tears crept back to prayer
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Then this I screamed:
"Come back to Me
I was born in love with thee
So why should fate stand inbetween?"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And so for Her...
The breeze stank of sunset and camphor
My lantern chased Her phantom and blew
Their Chapel ablaze and all locked in to a pain
Best reserved for judgement that their bible construed...

Putting reason to flight
Or to flame unashamed
I swept form cries
Mesmerized
By the taffeta Ley
Or Her hips that held sway
Over all those at bay
Save a mist on the rise
A final blessing to hide
Her ghost in the fog

So yeah, this song is on my Creepy list for songs.

I would have to say Duality by slipknot... everytime I hear it, it makes me cringe some... mostly because of the lyrics... the chorus "I stick my fingers into my... EYES! its the only thing, that slowly stops the ache" ... creeps me out from that alone.

Duality - Slipknot

I would have to say this song because of the lyrics on one specific part...

I push my fingers into my...
EYES!
Its the only thing, that slowly stops the ache!

That just makes me cringe... not too many other songs offhand can make me cringe or whatever... that just... does.

Morbid, creepy love songs are the best type of love song as far as I'm concerned.

Saturday Night by The Misfits; Dollskin, Tyler and Possum Kingdom by the Toadies; Happy Child by tweaker; Sweet Tooth by Manson; I Put a Spell On You by Screamin' Jay Hawkins. They all fit this and are some of my favorite songs, personally. I wouldn't say they creep me out, but I find something about them really appealing. They seem like they require more work than the traditional love song.
When you see your mother dancing to that, it leaves some traumatic scars.
I'll sympathize with you on that opinion. It can't be any more traumatizing that your Aunt singing the Milk Shake song at KMart, but then again maybe it is.

Daddy by Korn is by far the most creepy song I have ever heard in my life. The song is about Jon Davis (lead singer of Korn) singing about getting raped by his dad or mom. If anyone has heard this song, you should be creeped out by it. Here is some of the chorus of the song.

You've raped!
I feel dirty
It hurt!
As a child
Tied down!
That's a good boy
And {expletive deleted}!
Your own child
I scream!
No one hears me
It hurt!
I'm not a liar
My God!
Saw you watching
Mommy why?!
Your own child
One of the creepiest songs lyrics wise that I can think of the top of my head at this current moment would have to be Cradle of Filth's song. It is too bad they cut the song short.

I would have to agree with Tony about "Saturday Night" by the Misfits. While the tune of the song is by no means "creepy," the concept of the lyrics is. It is one of their songs that I, and many others I know, particularly enjoy.

There is this god-awful speed metal band called Agoraphobic Nosebleed, who have definitely earned the spot so far as the most worthless band ever. I discovered them when my high school's newspaper was doing a spread on such metal, just to do something different than normal album reviews. On the album we checked out, there were around 100 tracks, but few of which broke being over 10 seconds long ... if even that. What was even worse was the content. Their lyrics were the most offensive I have ever seen. It might as well just be a couple swear words and the song is over. If I were to post such a lyric here, such as: "Kill the *******, **** the ******* indians." And that would be an entire song. Just that line, once. And there was around 100 tracks of such repulsive crap. I think the band itself would fall somewhere under the category of "creepy," though that is most likely a drastic understatement.

I have to say one of them was "Invisable" By Clay Akien. I was waching Mtv and the music video came on. He says something like this: "If I was invisable, I could watch you in your room" man that was creepy.

I like Bloody Valintine, actually, now I want to go listen to it again!

I'm sure therer are TONS more that've creeped my out, but that poped into my head first.
