Well, I guess I should start where all great stories do. At the beginning. I remember reading a story where a man gave an explanation of how to tell a story. How did it go? "Start at the beginning, go through the middle, and when you get to the end, stop." It was something like that. Anyways, I'm sure you're curious to know how all of this happened, aren't you? Well if you'll listen to my story, then you might just find out...[/font][/color][/size]

[font=Franklin Gothic Medium][size=2][color=#9932cc][i]Like in all horror movies, it was a dark and stormy night. But that was very common in Transylvania. (Not [b]the[/b] Transylvania, but a new one. The original Transylvania hasn't existed for some time now.) There was always either stormy weather, fog, or howling winds there. My name is Wynne December, and I was just a little girl then, and still getting over the death of my mother. My father had put me in that boarding school because he didn't want to take care of me anymore. He didn't say that, but I knew it was his reason. But it didn't matter, because Ebony Raban, a girl I knew, was there. When she was around, I felt alright and I would almost forget that my mother had died. I didn't know when I came here, but this wasn't an ordinary boarding school, it was darker than any other. No one knew why, but students were dying of unnatural deaths, blood was appearing in strange places, everyone was seeing strange things moving around in the night and hearing strange noises, and dolls, (including my own doll, Ulla,) were walking around on their own. However, our school seems like it might not be the only one to have these problems. Across the River of Darkness, (as everyone calls it, because of the amount of dead trees and plants around it.) there is a boarding school by the name of, "Cordella's School for Young Men". New rumors are that it has its own share of frights over there. (And they're supposed to be even more frightening than the boys over there who supposedly tie down rabbits and stomp them to death for fun. All of the girls in this school refer to them as "goblins".) I decided to find out what's causing all of this, and to learn what my true name is. You've never heard of a true name before? Let me explain. A person is supposed to have two different names when they're born. A given name that everyone calls you by, and your true name which no one knows, not even yourself. Ebony and I both expected that are given names are not are real names since they're so mismatched. Anyways, if you learn your true name, (which you are never to speak out loud if you do, for if someone else learns it, they will have power over you.) then you will have unlocked a higher form of yourself, whatever that may be. First, this is a dark, gothic RPG, (almost like a dark harry potter in a sense, but you don't come to the school to learn magic.) So expect violence, gore, frightening content, and most importantly [b]Thematic Elements[/b]. So don't join if any of this bothers you. Second off, I was going to make this a [b]Girl's Only RPG[/b], but I'll allow some guys to play as the "goblins" in Cordella's boarding school if they want to. [left][font=Franklin Gothic Medium][size=2]day, didn't do anything to improve Wynne's mood. Her mother, who wasn't[/size][/font][/left]
[left][font=Franklin Gothic Medium][size=2]as experienced on the water as her husband was, hit the boat on the[/size][/font][/left]
[left][font=Franklin Gothic Medium][size=2]rocks. Both Wynne and her mother went flying out into the water. Wynne[/size][/font][/left]
[left][font=Franklin Gothic Medium][size=2]managed to make it to the surface, but her mom had hit her head and[/size][/font][/left]
[left][font=Franklin Gothic Medium][size=2]wasn't coming back up. Wynne tried to find her mother but she didn't see[/size][/font][/left]

They both worked very hard and hardly ever got to see their daughter, one day when they were both at work, the place was raided by a gang and everyone was killed.
Zeta's nanny didn?t like her and wouldn?t want to carry the burden of looking after such a careless child. She didn?t know of any other relatives so sent Zeta to Valentines School for Young Ladies to teach her proper manners and etiquette (so far it hadn?t worked).
All the weird things going on made Zeta very curious and she became a reporter of sorts (picture a Takeshi type person from DNAngel). If anything weird was going on, students would come to Zeta to see if she had any information, of course she didn?t but she made stories up anyway....usually blaming it on a student she didn?t like.

uh sorry for asking but when you say girl's only, do you mean in the sense of characterization or are actually only accepting girl members of this board? the setting is gothic horror so i took notice and like the dark feel, but before I go any further I would like to ask a few question and establish some facts

firstly, me = male
secondly I wish to create a character that is female alla 'sad sad gothic queen'
thirdly does your kindred spirit have to be the same gender as you?

and finally is there an overly large problem with the above proposal? while it is role play and I usually treat character identity as protagonists in a novella, the concept of charaterization might be too personal and I'm not familiar enough to know whether this might be offensive or not... (before you ask, I've never role play on forum before so yes I am noob, but at least I'm honest)

if you can help clear up these points I'll be eternally greatful...

I'm sorry for not explaining that too well. ;) To answer your question, I expected the male members of this board to want to sign up as their own gender, (which everyone usually does.) I was only going to allow female characters and I did not think any guys would want one to sign up as a girl, so I was going to offer them a chance to sign up as a guy since I figured out how to work them into the story. Go ahead and sign up as a girl if you want, Okita, that will be fine. I'll be looking forward to your sign up. Also, your kindred spirit does not have to be the same age or gender as your character. Oh, and one more thing. [b]Most of the students are special in some way, so go ahead and give your character some small power if you want, (make them a witch, etc.) [color=red]But keep the powers limited and I don't want every single person in the game to have a power, so if you can do without it, please do. Dolls grabbing knives and killing his friends, then grinning at Yumil and laying besides him, like he was their father. Things like this were going on at the other school, across Necromancer Lake, that is what the boys called it, for the dead trees and other things. Because Yumil can control marionnets, people are trying to blame it on him.

Power: Yumil can control dolls and marionnets with his power, he doesn't need to use the strings. They come alive, and can listen and talk to Yumil.

Siblins, parents, children and elderly; all were fair game in the eye of the Tepes, for to a Tepes, the prize, the succession, was deemed a prize worth any risk.

Being raise as such, and having suffer through the consequences of error most painful, Lilith learn little by little, how to survive in a den of viper. Raised the heir to the great Vlad Tepes empire, Lilith childhood held precious little joy, from birth she was trained, groomed and savagely shaped to fit the ideal of the Tepes, physical perfection, mental dominance, spiritual solitude.

Intelligent, astute and very much world weary from indoctrination of treachery and deceit, Lilith was well on her way of becoming a perfectly vicious Baroness to Vlad Tepes? throne.

All that change however when she first heard his whispered melody.

Vladimir the Impalar, Dracula to the world, ancient, powerful and very much dead. The spirit of her ancestor hath chosen his vessel! And so our little princess of solitude made her first friend.

Time change, and so did Lilith, guided by the voice that was not there yet always there, she turned from rattle snake to majestic swan, the hauntingly graceful mirage that stood before her stunned kin could not be less a Tepes if she try, or so it was deemed. But alas descendent of descendent having lost their way, know not their daughter?s guide.

This was the first, the ONLY true heir to Vladimir?s throne.

Urban sophistication, unsolicited and mild of manner, never jovial but then one could hardly call her merely cordial, she radiate sobriety yet exude sensuality, liquid eyes that move like ocean wave, expressive, passionate but with oh so many secrets to tell.

Enigma of enigma trained by voice of a distant yet remembered past: this was Litlith Morganna who bore the house name Vlad Tepes.

Perhaps shuttling her to this boarding school was her parents last ditch attempt to correct their horrible error (where have we gone wrong? Such love! Such trust! Where have we gone wrong??), but so long as the voice object not (of whom she affectionately called uncle and he reluctantly answers) Lilith fears little and worry less.

It was time to show the world what Lilith Morganna could do!

And her dearest uncle was even kind enough to guide her to that book on exotic poison alchemy.

Note: this character has two unique 'gifts'

One: she had heard the voice of her kindred before in her mind, though she knows not who he is or why he had aided her, she talks to him regularly though he rarely replies.

Two: She is an expert in poisons and antidotes both exotic and mundane, she is virtually immune to most common type of poison due to long term exposure to them building up a resistance and she recognise most poison by sight, taste or smell.

Bio: [i]Alan grew up on the street. He never knew either his father or mother, but has always wore dog tags that said the name "Alan Slerin" thus he called himself that. Whether or not this was his fathers name or just some stranger Alan doesn't know, but he likes to think it was his father.

Alan swore to never cut his hair until he found out what happened to his family, and his long hair is a testiment to that promise. Alan is dedicated to finding out who his parents were and how they died.

Alan came upon the boarding school through his desire to find out about his parents when he was 13. It had been mentioned to him that his father went to this same school, and Alan wanted to investigate.

Alan developed some friendships at the boarding school and even after finding nothing out the first year elected to stay at the school.

It was two weeks before Alan's 18th birthday that this all started. His friend "Sly" (thats what Alan called him) was the first to die. After that each and everyone of his friends slowly died from these strange events. Each and everyone of the deaths had one thing in common. They were all dolls.

Alan knew of a kid, two years younger than him named Yumil, whom could control these dolls. He was of noble birth, and Alan immediatly supsected him. Anyone of noble birth always looked down on Alan for being one of the poorest kids at the school.

Alan never voiced his suspicions but constantly kept an eye on Yumil. As the killings went on he soon realized that perhaps it wasn't Yumil at all. He let his supsicions of Yumil die and soon became determined to find out what was killing these kids.

He now wears a bracelet on his left wrist, the same bracelet he took off of Sly's left hand which was left in Alan's room.[/i]
