DeathKnight
Name: Arkadi Vasiliy Tarasov. 'Ark' to his friends. Age: 28. Sex: Male. Appearance: The first thing you would notice about Ark is his height- he must reach about 6'8" in tallness, and is easily recognizable in a crowd just from this. He has a very light beard- more than likely due to either apathy or laziness, either is very much so possible. This matches well with his long, shaggy, black hair- it is just long enough to block out his green eyes and continues his unkept look. His skin color is white, as he is of Slavic descent. He is very.. healthy looking. Not necessarily a super-muscle man, but stalwart- he looks hearty and able bodied- ready to take on a challenge. He works out regularly to keep in shape/stay physically able and can probably outdo a good percentage of people around Ottawa in tests of physical stamina and strength. Being nearsighted, he is forced to wear thin-rimmed glasses constantly- it makes him look more educated, albeit a bit dorky. Aside from that, his usual attire is just a simple pair of loose jeans and a white t-shirt with a pair of black hiking boots for escapades out into the wild unknown. Background: Arkadi's great-grandparents fled the start of the Russian Civil War from a port in the Ukraine, traveling trough the Mediterranean Sea into France. Across the channel to Great Britain they went, catching the first ship into the land of opportunities they could- right into the great U.S. of A. There, they settled down and started their new life- one away from the trials and tribulations of an ever-chaotic Europe. Fast-forward a few generations to August of 1976 and welcome Arkadi Vasiliy Tarasov into the world. As a child Arkadi was very intelligent, enjoying a good book more often than not. He devolped a keen liking to the field of architecture- taking great interest in the wondrous buildings that man had created over the years. Greath cathedrals, large skyscrapers- it all was so majestic and.. romantic, maybe. He enjoyed himself immensely, balancing more intellectual things like reading with his friends. His personality developed into a positive, outgoing one- and he progressed easily through the school system. Finally he was paid off with a degree in Architecture and he shared the success with whomever was left of his childhood friends- all was well with the young Ark, but there was still much to do. He had to squeeze his way into a firm, starting off a [thusfar] successful career that, eventually, allowed him a variety of personal freedoms. He was able to start his own architecture firm, and he moved it out into Ottawa- a seemingly pleasant city to live and work in. His firm helped design many of the homes, buildings and otherwise that residents in Ottawa live or work in, connecting him to many of the people in town. He buit an extensive network of acquaintances and friends just from this. Now he is satisfied and he plans to just keep on trucking- with a secret hope to find a significant other somewhere in the morass of individuals he knows. Equipment: A small sketchbook he uses for business purposes and, sometimes, just random sketching of things he takes an interest in- be it architecture or otherwise. Of course, this would be useful without a mechanical pencil with a handy extra case of lead. Miscellaneous: He is a very optimistic, easy going fellow who believes in charging headlong into anything life throws at you- his scars are for showing off, not lamenting. Also he has an unhealthy obsession with heavy metal and a fascination with various occult things- very superstitious, this one.
Semjaza
Okay, guys. First of all, I want to apoloize for how long all of this has taken. Between class and the amount of babysitting I've been doing, finding time to do this (and have the patience for it) hasn't been easy. Plus I just had a root canal, so I'm not in the best of moods lol. Anyway, I had a really hard time picking between these. I was very surprised by their quality. Every single one of them was good. I wound up having to be somewhat nitpicky to even make a decision on these. A lot of it came down to unique personality quirks and what was brought with. However, everything was taken into account obviously. Anyway, these are the people I have chosen: Delirium Justin Annie Charles anatema Harlequin Shinmaru Imi Piromunkie Ouka Alan Arcadia Seems like I chose a lot of people, but because of the way this is working, it's in the RPG's best interest to have more than half a dozen people. Killing people off would be a problem lol. If for some reason you cannot participate, let me know. I can set up a replacement rather easily. A couple people mentioned they wanted to make suggestions for monsters, but I never heard more from them. I'm still open to it, just PM me or post in here and we can work it out. However, I don't want too many monsters because it would just bog it all down, I think. Too many things to worry about. I'm also under the impression that there's a bit of confusion on how the whole death thing works. It will be better explained when I put the RPG up. There will be instructions on that, a map of the estate and the rest of the monster pages. I expect for this to go up completely within the next few days. Sorry about the delay everyone. If you have questions or comments, just post them in here and I'll respond.
DDG
I'm sure you probably don't mind, but, I'd like know before I go and do it. You're fine with people using HTML in their posts, right? 'Cause I'd really like to spice up my own posts with some HTML. ^_^ Oh, and congrats to everyone who got in.

Whatever you want to do in your posts is your own concern, really. I won't tell people what to do either way. I want to be pretty hands off with everything outside of the whole death idea. Annie
Awesome, I wasn't really expecting to make the cuts. This is a genre that I've come to take keen interest in, and I'm very happy to have the opportunity to participate. Congrats everyone, I'm looking forward to writing with you all. Considering, I've never wrote along with Harlequin, Piro, Charles, people whom I've been wanting to write with. This is going to be very exciting. Thanks, Sem!
Shinmaru
Awesome. Hopefully, I'll be able to get maybe one post in before I leave for my vacation...I'm just glad that there are more than enough people who made it so that me being gone isn't a very big issue at all. Semjaza
Okay, guys. I expect this to go up in the next few days. I have started work on a site that details everything you need to know about this game. On this page, the most important thing currently are the "Rules". Read them because understanding how to go about this game is very important. They detail things I've only touched on previously. http://www.sweethypocrisies/rpgs/torment Maps, creatures and victims pages will follow shortly. Please post if you have anything you're not clear on within the rules.
