I'm not exactly sure how to start this...It's been a long time since I've looked through this journal. Well, I guess I should start where all great stories do. At the beginning. I remember reading a story where a man gave an explanation of how to tell a story. How did it go? "Start at the beginning, go through the middle, and when you get to the end, stop." It was something like that. Anyways, I'm sure you're curious to know how all of this happened, aren't you? Well if you'll listen to my story, then you might just find out...

Like in all horror movies, it was a dark and stormy night. But that was very common in Transylvania. (Not the Transylvania, but a new one. The original Transylvania hasn't existed for some time now.) There was always either stormy weather, fog, or howling winds there. My name is Wynne December, and I was just a little girl then, and still getting over the death of my mother. My father had put me in that boarding school because he didn't want to take care of me anymore. He didn't say that, but I knew it was his reason. But it didn't matter, because Ebony Raban, a girl I knew, was there. When she was around, I felt alright and I would almost forget that my mother had died. I didn't know when I came here, but this wasn't an ordinary boarding school, it was darker than any other. No one knew why, but students were dying of unnatural deaths, blood was appearing in strange places, everyone was seeing strange things moving around in the night and hearing strange noises, and dolls, (including my own doll, Ulla,) were walking around on their own. However, our school seems like it might not be the only one to have these problems. Across the River of Darkness, (as everyone calls it, because of the amount of dead trees and plants around it.) there is a boarding school by the name of, "Cordella's School for Young Men". New rumors are that it has its own share of frights over there. (And they're supposed to be even more frightening than the boys over there who supposedly tie down rabbits and stomp them to death for fun. All of the girls in this school refer to them as "goblins".) I decided to find out what's causing all of this, and to learn what my true name is. You've never heard of a true name before? Let me explain. A person is supposed to have two different names when they're born. A given name that everyone calls you by, and your true name which no one knows, not even yourself. Ebony and I both expected that are given names are not are real names since they're so mismatched. Anyways, if you learn your true name, (which you are never to speak out loud if you do, for if someone else learns it, they will have power over you.) then you will have unlocked a higher form of yourself, whatever that may be. Now, follow me and I will take you to where all of this began. I will take you to Valentine's School for Young Ladies.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wynne December stepped out of the carriage and readjusted the black bookbag she carried over her shoulder. She was a raven-haired girl who was about thirteen years of age. She was also very pale, but that was not uncommon with Transylvania. With all of the cloud cover, you were bound to get pale sooner or later. She looked back at the horses that had brought her here. It was the first time she had ridden in something so old- fashioned as a horse and carriage, but now that she thought about it, that's what all of this place seemed to be - old-fashioned. As more carriages arrived, and more and new students got out to stretch their legs, Wynne looked around at her surroundings. The only thing that stood out about them was that they were very bleak and all of the trees seemed dead. Wynne highly doubted that it looked better in daylight. She heard a crow's caw and turned her head as she felt it land on her shoulder. She raised a hand to it, but it flew off. Wynne then grabbed her bags and went to find out where her room was.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After some help from one of the teachers, (who Wynne thought looked just like a picture she had seen of Ichabod Crane from the Legend of Sleepy Hollow,) she had finally found her room. She was glad to learn that it was the same room that her friend, Ebony Raban stayed in. Wynne opened the door to see that there was no one in the room, just a bunch of empty beds that had already been made. she put down her bags and sat on one of the beds. She then set down the bookbag that contained her doll - Ulla, her journal, and a music box that her mother had given her, by her side.
"I wonder where Ebony is right now? Why didn't she come out to greet me? She knew I was coming." Wynne thought.
Two girls were talking as they walked down the hallway, Wynne didn't recognize either of their voices. They walked into the room where she was sitting and stopped and stared at her. They were both wearing the same black dress that Wynne guessed was the school uniform.
"What do we have here? Do you have any idea, Catherine?" The brunette asked her friend, in a mocking manner.
Her friend, Catherine, smiled.
"I don't know, Emily. Maybe it's one of the new students, but it looks more like a corpse to me. Hey, wait a second...Isn't she the one who drowned her mother?" Catherine asked.
"Actyally, I think you're right. She is that girl who drowned her mother. Wynne December." Emily answered.
Wynne didn't want to put up with their teasing right now. It had been a long trip to the school and she was tired.
"Would you please just leave? I want to be alone right now..."
Wynne's request only made the girls smile even more.
"Trust me, you don't want to be left alone in this place. Especially with everything that's happened recently. Besides, this is our-"
Wynne was about to ask what had been happening recently, when she looked up and noticed that both of the girls were staring with open mouths at something by her side. She turned her head to see what they were looking at, and she was almost as surprised as they were. Ulla, her rag doll, had climbed out of the bookbag and was walking towards the end of the bed.
"H-how are you doing that?" Emily asked Wynne.
"It's not me that's doing it. It's my doll, Ulla. She gets upset when people start bothering me." Wynne lied.
She smiled as Catherine and Emily ran out of the room. Her doll fell back down on the bed. She picked it up and tried to make it stand up again but it wouldn't.
"How in the world did you do that, Ulla?" Wynne asked her doll.
She usually talked to her dolls, but she actually expected Ulla to answer her in this place. She did walk, after all. Maybe she could talk to. When she didn't say anything, Wynne put her back in the bookbag and decided to wait and see if Ebony would stop by.

Yumil stepped out of the car that had brought him to this weird place. It was that of a Taxi, the driver so scared out of his wits he forgot to ask Yumil for the money. The dull metal of the cab driving away was the only piece of 1900's technology here in this hellhole. The grey and midnight blue clouds never let up around here, and Yumil was beginning to grow pale. His tan was faded, much like that of the school's paint job. The wet drips of the rain matted his silver hair together, but Yumil just grabbed his bags and proceeded to the door. A great head of a stone lion was besides the door, and its maw smelled faintly of wet meat and blood. The stench was overpowering, Yumil gagged as the door opened with the slightest touch. He entered the castle- like school. Boys about his age passed him, only taking a glance at the hair and eyes of the newcomer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yumil found the room where he would be staying, the drab walls suddenly wet and warm, like blood. A trickle of a thick liquid fell on the floor, a silent drop as it splashed into a puddle. Not noticing it, Yumil entered the dull room, the drywall with fist sized holes and peeling paint. Panting from carrying all of the suitcases of his up the stairs, he flung them onto the floor, and opened the one that held his clothes.
A river of blood and yellow liquid flowed onto his red shirt, making Yumil leap back in terror. Instead of his clothes, a whole body was stuffed into his suitcase, even the head. Wiping the blood off of his torso, he checked the other suitcases, but nothing else out of the norm. Yumil got his marrionets out and gave them the tasks, like cleaning up the blood and throwing the body parts away. He sat on the bed, not knowing what was yet to come.
OOC: ^___________________^ Yayness! It has started!
IC: Ebony Raban tossed her golden curls over her shoulder as she walked down the hallway. Her boot heels clicked on the floor. She had her back-pack slung across her shoulder, and her eyes were alight.
Her best friend, Wynne, was supposed to be there today. ?Wow! I haven?t seen her since last summer. Its great that she?s coming to this school now!? She pushed open the cracked door, and Wynne jumped at the noise. Then she jumped up.
?Wynne!? Ebony dropped her bag on the floor, and hugged her bud. ?How are you?? She asked.
Wynne looked over to her bed where Ulla was still lying. ?Umm?? She looked worried. Ebony grabbed her bag up, then tossed it on her own bed.
?What is it, Wynne? No ones going to tease you about Ulla.? Wynne shook her head. ?Its not that. Ulla walked.? Ebony went stock still. She brought a hand to her mouth, eyes widening. ?Oh, no?not to you, not already!? Wynne?s jaw dropped. ?Already? To you?? She repeated slowly.
Ebony nodded. ?Its happened before. Weird things are going on lately, Wynne.? Behind them, the door shut by itself. Ebony whirled, blonde hair flying, and scetched something in the air. The air warmed back to its regular temperature, which told her that the ghost ? or whatever ? was gone.
Somehow, Wynne wasn't surprised at what Ebony mentioned about strange stuff going on. This seemed like the kind of place where the unthinkable can happen. After they both jumped from the door slamming, Wynne decided to ask her what had happened.
"What has been happening here, Ebony? And who is doing it?"
Ebony sat down on the bed next to her.
"All kinds of horrible stuff. Your doll walking is some of the least of it. Some of the girls say that the goblins are doing it, but there's no way they could do all of this stuff from across the River of Darkness."
Ebony's explanation left Wynne even more confused.
"Wait a second. Goblins? River of Darkness? What are you talking about, Ebony?"
Ebony smiled and pulled some of her blond hair back.
"I'm sorry, Wynne. I'm just so glad to see you that I forgot you were new
here."
Wynne smiled back.
"That's alright, Ebony. I'm glad to see you too." She said.
"Anyways, the 'goblins' are the boys that go to the boarding school across the river, or the 'River of Darkness' as everyone calls it."
"But why do you call them 'goblins'?" Wynne asked.
"You would to if you heard about all of the horrible things they do over there for fun."
A brief silence passed between the two friends. Then, Ebony grabbed Wynne's hand.
"Hey, I've got an idea! Do you want me to show you around the place? It's not much to see, but you'll need to know your way around here."
Wynne smiled and squeezed her friend's hand.
"That would be great. Thanks, Ebony."
They both left to explore the school's lonely halls.
Ebony walked with her bud down the hall. They passed many doors on the way to a set of double doors at the end. ?Those are the other bedrooms. Be careful, though, Lisa Tremaine, a girl who is in 5B hall, went into the wrong room. A couple other girls did, too. Illusions.?
Wynne gaped as they passed through the double doors into a large room. The ceiling went up, to a point, for about 50 feet. Ebony gestured about. ?This is the eatery.? She said. ?Over there are the food tables-? she pointed to the left wall. Five tables that were totally clear stood side by side, with enough room for three people to walk in between.
Elsewhere, there were round tables scattered about, with four chairs at each. Ebony pointed to a pair of double doors. ?Those go outside, where a small courtyard is. Across from that is the gym.? This time she pointed to another door. ?That goes to the kitche-? She stopped.
Ebony went pale. Wynne peeked over her shoulder to look, and gasped. ?Oh no!?
Blood was pooled at the bottom of the door. The door was cracked open slightly, and the kitchen was dark.
Naomi stumbled out of the carriage as a older snobby looking girl pushed her out of the way and smirked at her. Looking down she suddenly wished she wasn't here. As she looked up towards the building and gulped the exteroir sent chills down her spine and made her run inside to escape the now falling rain. Dragging her suitcase along side her she asked random teachers where her room was. She had finally found it and walked in no one was there. Naomi hoped that she was at the right room as she glanced at the numbers along the side of the door she saw that they matched the peice of paper that her room number was scrawled on. She noticed a doll on one of the beds and she smilied. Not everyone here must be stuck up. Dropping her suitcase and bags on the floor next to the bed closest to the window, Naomi walked over to the window and looked out. Placeing her finger on the glass the water droplets raced toward the point creating a large circle of water. Moving her finger away she saw a torn-up moldy face in the water. Backing away quickly Naomi screamed and turned she saw the doll that was lying on the bed was moving. Naomi closed her eyes. A few minutes later she reopened them and saw that the doll was back were it was before and lying still. Naomi started breathing normally again. Her sister had told her weird things happened here but, she had thought that she was just lying to her.
Yumil sighed, for when his father had a man killed, he always had to do this, so no fingerprints would be left. He took his bloodied shoes off and changed his clothes with a spare suitcase of clothes he had. Now dressed in Nike shoes with a black shirt that said, "As a matter of fact, The world does revolve around me." With another red button up shirt over it. He didn't care about the dress code no one else followed. Yumil decided to explore the school to get to know it better. First, he amassed all of his dolls and made an army to walk around him, as he was a bit frighened at what had happened. It was late in the day, and everyone esle was asleep, or pigging out in the eatery, Yumil guessed. He pulled out the 5 sets of kitchen knives he had brought, and gave one to each doll. The one that looked like him self lead the troops.
He found an empty room, with no appeant reason for being there. Yumil found 3 canoes on the far wall, and 6 oars. As this discovery was made, the doors slammed shut, locking themselfs. Wet squishing could be heard on the wooden floor, trodding towards Yumil...
-ooc: this is my first time role playing, please point out error and PM me to correct them! aplogise if diversion to storyline is not meant to be done by me, if this is bad I'll delete and redo the intro! thanks for any help and pointers you guys can give!
Act1:
The black lacquered carriage in the colour of sable-in-shadow stopped languidly in front of the imposing mansion, the crest of the infamous Romania noble house Vlad Tepes shine in the dim twilight in it?s errie deep mahogany red, the colour of freshly offered blood.
An imposing figure, a giant of a man with hunched back and a truly grotesque face stepped out of the carriage, one hand picking up the packed luggage with little effort, while the other made an elaborate flourish as he bowed low in reverence. Following him came a much more dainty and petit figure, with ash blond hair and eyes that shone violet.
Her face showed serenity, and her eyes alight with unquestioning trust, an air of melancholy hung around her yet she exude the type of urban sensuality that only come with age and maturity, of both she lacks. This startling contradiction hung her head as she took in her surrounding and gave a great heaving sigh.
?What a gloomy place my sire has exile me to! Don?t you agree Igore??
The man servant gave a soft rumbling growl as a response, his eye narrowing in impotent fury at his mistress? distress.
The girl giggle slightly and on impulse, gave the taller man a quick and affectionate hug. ?Oh how noble of you my faithful servant, to be pained by your mistress? sorrow!? The dainty girl cried dramatically. ?Surely when I come to power I shall reward you as you readily deserve.?
Another growl, soft and almost embarrassed.
?Oh do not blush Igore, your face looks much more handsome in its paler complexion.? Teased, the girl, her face alight with mischief.
This time Igore?s face went red to scarlet, and he was reward with tinklebell laughter from his eccentrics but very much loved mistress.
?Come Igore, we must find my room, and you will help me scare any who dare conceive the notion that my room shall be shared with another.?
The giant simpleton nod with a low moan and lumber forward after his whimsical charge, who violet eyes darted from window to door in a habit that was very hard to break (and if broken could very well spelt her demise).
Wondering alone with a giant however had the downside of terrifying just about every potential aid for directional guide, so after three fainting spell (one repeatly so) and four screams of terror following by a mad dash to the nearest exit, the slightly annoyed aristocrat huffed and began the search by herself.
?Come Igore! Who needs the aid of these simpletons anyways!? She announced indignantly.
Igore chose wisely not to response, and follow in his mistress? wake.
Twenty minute of foundering and his young charge gave a frustrated scream. ?By the scourge of hell! Does this place not offer guide to new student! How very rude of them!?
Igore chose wisely not to point out that the guide had most probably being the first girl they met, who had fainted not once, not twice but thrice upon sighting him.
Another ten minute pass with little success for the mismatched pair, and Igore has a suspicious feeling that he had been here before, but again, chose wisely not to tell his mistress as such. In the middle of his contemplation, he heard a delighted gasp from his mistress, and saw her approaching another two girls.
One was ebony haired, a shade that was richer than sable-black yet not pure enough to be called midnight, the other a shade lighter than his mistress. The pair had their faced turn towards another door, their frame tensed with worry.
Thankfully, they?ve yet to notice him.
His mistress gave a polite cough and taped the blond on her shoulder. The girl whirled around and stare at her with apprehension then yelp as she spotted his lumbering form a few step behind his mistress.
The ebony haired one turned as well, her eyes focusing on him immediately, widened as she gasped, disregarding the small dainty girl who had to clear her throat a second time.
?Wow? The future heir of house Tepes cried jubilantly, her face awash with joy. ?You?re the first that didn?t faint or run away! How very nice of you!?
Recovering slightly, the blond gave her a weary glance. ?What?s it to you?? She asked, only to be placated slightly by the ebony haired one with a slight squeeze of her hand.
?Please, I apologise for my friend?s rudeness, she is a tad bit protective me think, but as for your question, let?s just say that we are use to strange occurrence, and your? friend is not our greatest of worry even now.?
?Oh please! I was the interloper to you conversation, all fault is mine alone.? The mistress announced sing-songly. "Though now that I?ve gotten you?re attention, I must ask for you noble aid."
The pair looked at each other, then glance back at the door. ?Yes wel-?
?-Ah but where are my manners! I must introduce myself first!? She interrupted the pair blithely. ?I am Lilith Morganna, future Baroness of Belgrade.? Here she gave a perfect curtesy.
?Where have I heard that name before?? muttered the blond worriedly but the ebony gave a courtesy and introduced herself and her friend. ?I am Wynne December and my friend here is Ebony Raban.?
?Oh such pretty name!? Lilith laughed nervously, doing her best to divert the topic. ?And surely deserving of such flower as these, don?t you agree Igore??
Igore grunted, while Wynne gave Lilith a confused shrug, Ebony flushed slightly, then frown as she almost smack herself in the face.
?Hey wait! What about the blood?? She cried
?Blood?? Asked Lilith, her face now alight, completely forgetting that she still needs to find her room.
?There was blood flowing out of the kitchen door!? Supplied Wynne helpfully.
?Oh, our very first adventure, and I not even here a day! How very lovely this place is!? Cried Lilith excitedly.
Igore gave out a groan, not daring to mention that not twenty minute early, her reaction to the hall had been less than friendly.
?Take the luggage to my room Igore, I shall I go with my new friends here??
Ebony muttered ?friends?? to Wynne as she looked incredulously at the silly little sot, while Wynne gave a helpless shrug.
Igore nodded and left, not mentioning the fact that neither himself nor her, knew where the room was, sometime it simply didn?t pay to countermand his mistress? order.
In fact it never pays?
OOC Wow, that was some amazing post!
Zeta stepped into the hallway, stretching from her untimely nap. Just then, two girl ran up to her with a look of terror on their faces,
"Zeta?!" This one was Catherine.
"Yeah?" Zeta replied half-heartedly, she didn?t really like these two particular girls.
"We....we just saw something scary!" Catherine whimpered.
"Yeah!" this was now Emily, "One of those new girls, her doll...it walked! It was so creepy."
"Oh Boo-hoo, what else if new here? Creepy stuff happens all the time, get over it."
"But Zeta, we wanted to see if you knew anything about it!"
Zeta turned around and faced the two girls, "What's her name?"
"Wynne....we think."
A few minutes later, Zeta was searching for the girl called Wynne, which is very difficult in an all girls school.
She had a description though, so she would be pretty easy to pick out...
"Hey you!" Zeta shouted to a raven haired girl, she turned around and looked up at Zeta, "Yes?" she asked politely.
"You Wynne?"
"Yes, I am, why do you ask?"
"We need to talk about.....your doll." Zeta finished, kicking her foot away from a recent puddle of blood.
Selenine walked into the school and looked around. Before she went to school, she had been scared to death all the time by the weird things happening all over the place. Now, she walked down a long hall, feeling warm and welcome. At the end of a narrow corridor, there was a door--the one that Selenine was supposed to go into. The walls were swarming sith spiders and it was very cold, but Selenine just continued walking, opening the door and going inside.
Selenine groaned when she entered the room--the last student who stayed there had decorated the room completely so that is was the least spookiest room in the whole building. The walls were painted bright pink, the windows had drapes that had glowing pink happy faces on them, and the bed was almost fit for a queen and also pink in color. Selenine was outraged that she happened to get such an unusual and unnatural room that was her least favorite color--pink. The first thing she did when she got in the room was that she grabbed the drapes, tore them off, and threw them out the window. Then she turned off all the lights and sat on the bed, staring out the window. Luckily, she had a good view of the graveyard below.
A while later, Selenine walked out her room and outside the building. About a hundred girls were outside, some of them seeming scared and/or worried. One girl she passed by muttered something about "walking dolls and bloody halls and killings all the time". The girl looked at her and smirked, expecting her to scream, but Selenine instead put an evil smile on her face. "This place seems marvelously interesting," she thought. "It will be fun living amongst classmates who spend 50% of their lives shivering in fear..."
Selenine decided to go for a short walk--there was time. She started along the River of Darkness, and eventually, she crossed it and turned left at the boys' school. She soon came upon another graveyard, one that was bigger and darker, and foggy. Selenine smiled and walked through it, careful not to step on any graves... There was a dilapidated stone statue in the center, and it was bathed in moonlight and covered with blood. Selenine merely smirked and walked across the other side, but before she could take another three steps...
"Katea... alas... we are acquainted..." called a voice. This was followed by a strange chanting, and the fog began to stir, creating a mini tornado, which eventually glowed. Out of this fog emerged a dark, caped figure. Then it spoke...
"I seek you, Katea... A call from a world far away, it is I who comes to your service..."
Selenine froze, but she did not panic. "Who are you?" she asked boldly.
"That is none of your concern..." said the figure. "Question is, who are you?" The figure said in a tone that made it seem as if it were asking Selenine to dive more deeply into herself, to disvover who she really was...
"Selenine," the girl answered. "Who's Katea?" she asked without a pause.
"You will find out..." called the ghostly figure. A raven circled her head and eventually perched on it, stretching out its wings and screeching loudly. Both it and the ghost vanished in a swirl of fog. Selenine stood there, rooted to the ground, slightly confused.
Yumil's marrionetts charged forward, and sunk their knives deep into the creature. The lights flickered in the room, the candles lighting ablaze. A dead corpse was trodding towards Yumil, then stopped. Its decaying mouth opened, and it let out in a small whisper, "Lady Danika wishes to meet you, young one. Head to the Girl's school on the other side of the dead lake. You will find your anwser." Then, it fell down, vital organs splayed across the floor. Yumil prayed for the poor soul that had to deliver this message, and then exited the room with a canoe and 4 oars.
They made their way to the lake and got on a canoe. The marrionetts rowed with Yumil and made the way to the other side of Necromancer Lake. The other school had rumors about the boys, calling them Goblins. Yumil cursed as he realized it, they would tip his canoe with him in it. But, alas, no one on the other side. As Yumil climbed out, he found himself in the graveyard. He and the marrionetts sprinted through the graveyard, and into the front lawn of the Girl's school.
Oh, ****. They saw me. I'm dead. Who knows what they will do? And I just came to find some anwsers. Thought Yumil as he dove into the bushes. Their speeh drifted out the window into Yumil's head. He would stand his ground, and if they tried to hurt him, he would amass his army. They headed out the door of the room, probably heading to get some flashlights or something. Yumil sneaked up to the front of the door and looked at the door, ready for anything.
Nothing came, not yet. He dropped some of his anxity, but regained it within a moment. Movement was coming from the bushes. A small Knight Marrionet jumped out, and it was with the rest of his Marrionets. They were carrying a short sword they found in a hidden container of the canoe, along with the Knight. A note was stuffed into the knight's travel bag, which he removed and Yumil read.
"Dear Yumil,
It is I, your great grandmother, Dankia. I knew this day would come. You must come to the graveyard on the girl's side of the lake. You, and 6 other indivuals, will find the anwser. Hurry, time is short.
Love, Danika" The letter burst into flames, and turned to ash. Yumil waited for the girls, to explain.
ooc- excuse any spelling errors, native language is not english...
Act 2:
Being left in the background wasn?t something she?s familiar with, in fact, having never interact with people her age, (or indeed people in general) Lilith was about as social a butterfly as her clan?s namesake, who impaled his enemy upon sharp pointy stake, hanging them out to dry outside the castle parapet and dipped his daily bread in the blood of his enemy and called it fine dinning.
Having found her first lacklustre adventure being kicked apart (quite literally in fact) by the girl calling herself Zeta, she was all the more willing to tag along to find this ?goblin? that they seem so interested in.
?May I come too?? She asked excitedly, of the three still busily looking out the window.
?Do we have to?? Ebony whispered to her raven haired companion, the girl was a twit afterall, and most likely to get caught and then they?d all be in trouble.
?Be nice.? Wynne whispered back, her face guarded but seemingly friendly. ?Of course you may!? She replied, then blink as her silent companion, stood up and nodded it?s wooden head in agreement.
?Oh how nice! A haunted doll!? Lilith smiled, her eyes seemingly vacant in vapidity. ?Can it dance too??
The doll nodded, but much to Wynne?s relief refrained from dancing.
?Oh such a jewel! How lucky you are lady Wynne!? Lilith squealed, oblivious to the incredulous look that appeared on Zeta and Ebony?s face.
?I take it back!? Whispered Ebony ?She?s not just a twit, she?s a vapid psychotic twit.?
Wynne couldn?t help but giggle slightly, the girl was either disturbingly stupid or simply far too accepting, either way she felt slightly sympathetic towards the attention starved noble.
?Who might you be?? Asked Zeta, looking at the girl with slight interest, she seemed harmless but then one must never judge a book by its cover.
?Oh where are my manners!? Lilith exclaimed ?I am Lilith Morganna of Belgrade?
Zeta?s eye narrowed sharply. ?Belgrade? The future Baroness of Belgrade is also called Lilith Morganna, might you be one and the same??
?Er, um well if you put it that was, I suppose?? Tittered Lilith, suddenly knowing that this is leading somewhere unpleasant.
Zeta?s eye widen in absolute disbelieve. ?You! You are Lilith Morganna Vlad Tepes!? She cried in amazement.
?Aha!? Exclaimed Ebony. ?I knew I heard the title somewhere! She?s a Vlad Tepes!? Then her she gasped aloud at her own statement. ?Wait a minute! This is the heir to house Tepes??
?Vlad Tepes?? Asked Wynne, seemingly in the dark.
?A very notorious clan with a very sinister history!? Explained Zeta. ?They?ve had a bloody past that never seemed to have stopped, theres all sort of bad rumour floating around concerning them but no one dares to act.?
?Why not?? Asked Wynne curiously.
?People that act against them have a habit of ending up slightly dead.? Deadpanned Zeta.
Ebony nodded and urge Zeta to continue. ?Rumour has it that the Vlad Tepes, are the master of the Russian and Slavic criminal underground. They are the sole controller of illegal slave trafficking up north and they?ve also dabbled in narcotic and weapon trade.?
Everyone stared at the nervous looking girl as she fidgeted with her hand. ?Erm, it seems my clan?s reputation hath preceded me once more.?
?She?s meant to be the future head of all that?? Asked Ebony with a look of dread (though for an entirely different reason than one would first presume)
?Oh dear.? Was Wynne only comment as anything else she might add would be a tad more colourful.
?Well I guess there?s always a black sheep in every family.? Zeta said herself, she was a good judge of character, and the girl that stood before her seemed just too... vapid, to be anything closed to malicious and sinister.
?Yes that?s right, she can?t really be all that evil!? Ebony herself supported, mainly because she just simply couldn?t accept the concept of someone so ?blond? running something like ?that?
?She?d burn down half of the Slavic nation in her first day on the Job?? Thought Ebony with absolute conviction.
?Well I suppose you guys are right.? Wynne reservedly answered.
?Oh how kind you all are!? Exclaimed Lilith. ?I?ve been having such a terrible time since papa and mama exile me here!?
?Exile?? Wynne asked, a slight cord ringing in her as she heard the word, she too had been exile here, but at least in this gloomy place of solitude she had Ebony as comfort and boon companion.
The little girl seems to have no one, how very sad.
?That clinch it!? Zeta announced. ?I was wondering why a Vlad Tepes would be sent to a boarding school, they?re usually self tutored and very private individuals. ?They must have sent her here to get rid of an embarrassment.?
Lilith nodded. ?This is such a depressing place!? She complained. ?It looks so terribly gloomy, and the food is terrible and I?ve not a single friend.?
Feeling sympathetic, Wynne was about to give some word of comfort when lilith blithely continue on her tirade in an entirely different route.
?Though to be honest, my house looks not so dissimilar to this, and I?ve never tasted the food here, so I?ve hardly a thing to compare, and I?ve no friend at home either so that doesn?t count.? She paused tapping her feet thoughtfully. ?But at least back home I could amuse myself by setting mother?s hair on fire.? There she paused and look positively delighted.
?You set your mother?s hair on fire?? Asked a horrified Wynne.
?Yes, but only after she called me an abomination born through chance.? Lilith defend herself. ?She also said that I?m stupider than a single cell amoeba from a distant star that crash to earth and landed in the cradle of her baby girl.?
?Oh...? Said, Wynne, finding it hard to say anything else after that statement.
?Mama was always very blunt with her insult, that?s why I like papa better, at least he teach me as he insults, like how he told me to think in my head and not out loud when I was planning to behead him and mama when I come into power.?
?Erm.? Again Wynne didn?t speak, though she was getting slightly paler if that was possible.
?That seemed to have mollified mama somewhat, though not enough stop her from sending me here.? Another sigh. ?What has she got to complain about anyways?? Lilith moaned. ?The old bat is already uglier than sin, anything I do would be an improvement.?
?Right? Deadpanned Zeta and Ebony, while Wynne simply nodded.
?But enough of my silly family, we must be off to our adventure!? Lilith exclaimed happily.
Her three companions nodded and proceeded to the direction of the shadow from outside. Ebony whispered to Wynne. ?I think we should get rid of her.? There the pointedly turn her eyes to Lilith.
?She?s harmless.? Wynne replied, a slight bit of sympathy going towards the lost girl, they where in similar predicament after all, as was Ebony.
?She?s a walking disaster waiting to happen!? Ebony answered back, her voice full of conviction.
?She has no friend, and she?s new just as I am, we could be nice to her for at least today.? Pleaded Wynne.
Ebony relented at her friend?s plea. ?Alright but just for today.?
Lilith walked slightly behind the pair, following close as she has no knowledge of direction in this place, with Zeta slightly to her right and ahead, almost catching up to Ebony and Wynne, of whom Zeta seems to take a special interest in.
She walked passed a mirror, diligently following the three, when she notice that in the mirror her reflection pause and gave her a perfect curtesy, she smile and courtesy back, walking quickly to catch up to the three ahead.
?Such polite mirror you have here!? She complimented brightly.
The three blink and looked at her strangely.
Ebony was about to answer when Wynne touched her on the arm slightly, she sagged a little and nodded her head.
?Yes, yes very polite mirrors.? Ebony complimented half heartedly.
Either ignorant or simply not caring, Lilith beamed and continued to follow the three.
Back inside the mirror, the image of Lilith smiled and licked her lips.
Zeta groaned and rubbed the side of her head. Being surrounded by girls was bad enough, especially since she didn?t know any of them. But being with a bimbo who wouldn?t stop talking? This was turning into torture rather than an adventure.
Lilith was twittering away about her old life and her papa and how she had about 10 slaves just to tuck her into her double queen bed.
Zeta was at wits end, she had enough from all the girls in her year wanting gossip but now she had something worse.
She leaned over and whispered in Ebony's ear, "We could drown her in the Lake and no one would ever know....."
Ebony nodded and was about to say something cruel in reply but was silenced by a look from Wynne.
"You two should not judge, she seems like a very sweet girl....she just likes to talk."
"Well that's putting it nicely!" Zeta exclaimed a little too loudly.
Lilith perked up and skipped over to them, "So? What are you all talking about, hm? Gossiping? Oh, I do love a gossip, in fact....back in my old country...."
"Oh I don't believe it." Zeta sighed as she slapped her forehead. She threw her hands in the air in exasperation and walked off in front of the others, kicking random bugs as she went.
A shadow seemed to fly past them and one of the statues shifted, scratching it's nose.
Lilith squealed in excitement, "Oh, this place may be creep but it's so wonderful!"
"Yeah," Ebony muttered, "Wonderful if you have a death wish."
"Ebony!" this was Wynne, she was shocked by her friends last comment, "You shouldn?t be saying things like that!"
"True though." Zeta said, rejoining the discussion, "Remember kids, I've been here longer than you and I know the place inside out, if you wanna stay alive for longer than the first year....you gotta learn." she then turned to Lilith and looked at her sternly,
"First lesson, Missy, if a painting or mirror communicates with you, don?t respond....especially mirrors, reflections of one self can be the most dangerous thing."
The girls continued walking and exchanged worried glances,
"She we tell her?" Ebony whispered.
Wynne paused and looked over her shoulder at Lilith who was looking at everything in awe, she hadn?t taken in any of what Zeta had just said,
".....No."
Yumil had taken up waiting in the delapitated building. He looked around, and had found a corpse with a book in its hands, so he plucked it out and started to read it.
It was written as follows,
" June 23, 1923.
Strange things have been happening in this mannor. Wails of unearthly abberations and servants lying dead in the tub. I fear that I have not long to live, as the demon roams these halls, killing what he can. He comes for me, hunting. This will be my las-
t entry. I have some important information to whoever builds on this ground, or lives in this house. Be ware of the demon, for if you die, you will lose more than life...
"
Yumil could not read the rest, as it was covered in blood. He heard rustling down the graveyard, and looked out the window. Some girls were at the porch of this dreaded building. Yumil decided to greet them, and show them this journal he had found, as well as the reason for his coming over here.
As Yumil reached the porch, he held up his hands, and said, " I know I am intruding, but I have some information, as well as a reason. My marrionets will do you no harm, as long as you do not hurt me. Just listen to what I have to say."
"Watch your step, there are, um, things in the holes of the floor. My name is Yumil. Strange, I know, but I like it. We should not stay in this house very long, at least from what I found. Here." Yumil said as he pulled a leatherbound book out of his pocket. He handed it to them, and told them,
"I got a message from zombie or something. It told me to go to the Girl's school and to the graveyard, and that I would meet others, and by the looks of it, I think she ment you. I stole a canoe from my school and rowed over here, before you found me. And, well, I just don't like this place. I hope no one is afriad of spiders and rats." Lilith was pale and looked as if she would throw up at any moment whilst Ebony and Wynne didn?t seem too phased considering the situation.
"Well first of all, I believe that we should introduce ourselves." Ebony spoke up. The other all nodded in agreement.
"My name is Ebony and this is Lilith," Lilith curtseyed, "Wynne," Wynne nodded, "And Zeta." Zeta gave Yumil a thumbs up.
He nodded at all of them and seemed to inspect the corpse,
"Is it me, or does something not feel right about this place?!"
The girls looked around and started inspecting things of their own accord,
"You mean apart from the fact it's a creepy old house complete with a dead guy?" Zeta asked sarcastically.
"Uh yeah." Yumil really wasn?t sure of what to say, these girls were the strangest he'd ever met.
They handed him his short sword, and took out their knives, and one or two had a handgun they found in the house. His sword glowed the same light, a golden fury.
She whimpered. ?No, that?s not true!?
?No! That?s why I?m dead! GET OUT!? Vanessa fell down, sobbing. Before the girls eyes, she started to heal up ? the bruises disappeared, her body became the way it had been before the girl jumped out of the window. Ebony dropped to her knees next to her room-mate.
?Vanessa?? The girl?s tear stained face looked up pitifully. Her deep brown eyes showed her soul. Vanessa whispered,? Ebony, I?m so sorry! I wanted to be friends with you, but Catherine and- and Courtney, they hated me! They told me I was nothing!?
Ebony held her. ?Now you know that?s not true.? Wynne landed next to them, her black eyes inquiring. Ebony turned to her. ?Wynne, touch the necklace again. Think about being human!?
As Yumil was about to bring his sword down through the girl, she was weeping and now looking human. He stepped away, and let the girls comfort her. He could swear that Wynne had given him a scolding look, so he decided to back off before the girls hurt him for almost killing her. His marrionetts backed off too, one of the dolls with a disgruntled look on his face.
"I-I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt Vannessa, if I did. I just, I acted with instinct. Forgive me." Yumil stammered. He did not want to be enemies with any of these people. In fact, he felt he wanted to be their friends. Yumil gave the marrionetts orders to get some towels and food that he had stolen from the eatery before he left. He handed everyone some and went off into his little corner while they comforted Vannessa.
