Hevn
I was thinking about Get Backer's Kadsuki Fuchoin of the Strings who uses well... strings inside bells. Along with that is Kakei Jubei's Flying Needles. Its amazing how strings and needles coincide, ne? Another is Hunter X Hunter's Gon using his favorite fishing rod and Hisoka's card techniques. Final Fantasy's gunblade is pretty original too and just as famous as Ruruoni Kenshin's reversed edge sword. As for magics well I still need to research on this. What do you guys say? Unique and original, or maybe weird, weapons and magic from different animes are a big deal right now to me. I mean weapons, like swords and staffs, don't really become unique when given a name or go together with powers. (Except maybe for Get Backer's Dr. Jackal who's swords are inside his body... ok enough about GB) But some animes do take time and lots of imagination in creating memorable accessories. And that I want to hear about. On the otherhand, elemental magics are really basic, so traditional and goes way back the history of anime. Dark, light, fire, earth, etc. Summoning can be really tiring too...dragons, beasts, and Final Fantasy's Bahamut and Shiva. So what makes a weapon/magic unique? Name a few if you please ^_^x
Hayashi Hansuke
For weapons, it would be... Guns- Trigun would be one. The guns of Vash looks like a combined magnum and Robocop's gun in 1. And also Nicholas Wolfwood's gun designed as a cross that has handguns installed in its horizontal bar and a giant gun when it's transformed. Swords- Ruruoni Kenshin has the reverse-edged sword, a sword made for humane purposes. But Final Fantasy VIII has the Gunblade. Imagine slashing and blasting your enemy at the same time. Strings- It would be Kadsuki of Getbackers and Yoji of Knight Hunters. Also their characters are made to be loved by girls (hmmmmmm why is it so???? ). Misc- Himiko of Getbackers uses perfume like potions that bring different effects Ninjutsus in Naruto (i can't decide if ninjutsu is magic or not but for me it's not magic but powerful ninjutsus can be since they can do amazing and unbelievable things.) Solo Tremaine
5th Hokage, please put more thought and effort into your posts. One-line posts are spam at OtakuBoards. Try and add as much detasil as you can, and watch your punctuation. Capital letters and full stops are a must if you plan on staying for a long time, heh. Reading long run-on sentences does get rather annoying.
ChibiHorsewoman
I'd have to say that the way that Vash's guns are built into his arms are very unique. I wouldn't want them for myself, but I think they're very useful in the types of situations that he gets into. Something that's a weapon that you wouldn't really consider a weapon would be Hino Rei's anti-evil scrolls. Okay, maybe that's a bit of magick (not the same as D&D magic) because she chants before applying them to an unfortunate youma, demon, or in the case of her first appearance
Usagi
. I'll hav eto add more later
