SnowFlame
I think there should be a place for new members to intorduce themselves.
Vicky
There's been loads of threads about this on OB... oh well... Well, I only joined on v6, but from what I know, there was once an Introduction Section that was deleted. I think it was because a lot of people were spamming (Well, all you have to say is "Welcome to OB"), and sometimes it seems a little pointless just posting "Welcome". The Mods always say that you should just jump to your first post, and leave the welcome (Sometimes you might get welcomed when you post in a thread, if it's on topic, that is). But I believe the reason it was deleted was spam, I'm not really sure, I've only been here since v6. But I even think Introduction Forums are a little pointless themselves, since the Mods and Members here have made a point of OB being a discussion forum for so long, heh.
Dragon Warrior
Indeed. I was around when it was there. Vicky is right. It was deleted because of people saying hello, explaining themselves, then going off on odd off-topics that didn't have anything to do with introductions. That and they were rather pointless since it's just a simple "hello" and such.
Sara
Vicky and DW are correct. We did have an Introduction forum at one point, but it was deleted. And as vicky so cleverly quoted, we ask that you just jump in and start posting. People will get to know you soon enough. Welcome to OtakuBoards.
