I absolutely love Inuyasha and I'm thinking of writing Inuyasha fan fics, but there's so many different stories in my head I'm begining to get confused. I've never written a fan fic before... so if anyone who has can give me some advice, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

My only advice is to be bold. Recognizing that the aspects that hold interest to Inuyasha are the unresolved issues that keep us coming back. Don't be afraid to shatter those, or to step away from the storyline of the show. We're all waiting for Inuyasha and Kagome to make with some smooches, and we're all in awe as Shippo grows into a young man and deals with the trials of being and orphan and being part of a huge and great family. And we're all waiting for Miroku and Sango's relationship to turn into the XXX butt-slapping fest that we all know Miroku dreams about (ah, my face hurts from sympathy pain just thinking about it~!)
With so many angles to come at it from you can pick one story line or many. Remember that the conflict over the sacred shikon no tama is an important factor too; Naraku.
Good luck!

I agree with him. Don't be afraid to write anything. I mean, come on, there are some Inu/Sango pairing fics! ~^ there's alot of different stories out there, like AU (for some reason a common thing in fanfics), just lean towards your senses, give in, see what happens. if you want ideas read my Inuyasha fics:

you might like 'em!

[FONT=Verdana]Due to the popularity of Inuyasha, there are a lot of different stories and authors that make their debut everyday. If you want to get into the Inuyasha fanfiction community, you'll need to learn how to be able to write well. There are too many fanfictions out there that are below the standard for readable material. If you want people to give you positive feedback, you'll have to question your writing style, and whether or not it can survive out there to gain a good name. If you put some of your writing up for people to see, it'll be a big help to you because then you'll be able to improve. Story originality is also a big issue. If you haven't already, read a variety of fanfiction to get the feel of which stories in your mind would be typical and which are not. Also, if you get confused about what to do next, it would be best if you wrote a plot outline on paper. You might even get more ideas to make your story more interesting.

That's all the advice I can give, so good luck! :D
