Izzy still felt annoyed. Ever since he left the cave he could feel Yeix's presence as if he were two steps behind him all the time, but he'd look back and no one would be there. Was Yeix being a coward? Was he forgetting his honor and trying to kill him quickly from behind? Izzy didn't know. But something wasn't right.

Izzy was behind a bush and now beyond the sight of Toshi and Veil, who had started out talking to each other and had moved on to other topics. After a moment for him to think about where Yeix could be again, Asunan and Celestia came into view.

OCC: First really short one in a while.

OCC- You do know I was going to find Veil. Lol. But that's okay. I'm happy mow.

IC-

Toshi and Veil sat alongside the beach. He looked into her eyes. Veil was so beautiful. He loved her. He leaned in for a kiss. Their lips touched. Toshi emraced Veil. She had no clue how much he had been worried and had missed her.
She looked at Toshi as he pulled back slowly. He brushed the hair out of Veil's face. "You don't know how much I missed you," Toshi said.
Veil looked up at Toshi. "I love you so much," she said.

Toshi's smiled but knew that he had regrets.

Meanwhile...
Rayne looked at the group. "Hey guys listen up," he said. Hiroshi and Gaitei instantly perked up but others took a bit longer.
"I'm going off to meditate. I'll be back tonight," he said. Gaitei raised his eyebrow.
"And what's so big about you meditating," he said.
Rayne hit Gaitei over the head. "Hawk is after the Robe correct," Rayne said. Gaitei nodded. "Then I need to clear my mind and find out where his presence is. His presence his very hard to find," he said. Hiroshi walked up to Rayne.
"Hurry up," Hiroshi said. Rayne nodded knowing that their time was limited. If Hawk was on his way than it meant Arunue was in danger.
Kieko looked at Rayne. "How much concentration do you need," she said.

Rayne glanced to Kieko. "Quite alot actually," he said. Rayne turned. "Don't worry guys. I'll be back tonight. I don't want to be caught off gaurd when he arrives. And I look forward to fighting him," he said.

Rayne jumped out of the cave mouth. He grabbed a rock sticking out of the mountain and began to climb. "The best place to do this is up," Rayne said.

Kieko pretended to enjoy her food. She picked little pieces off and ate them. It wasn’t that it was bad food, it’s just that she wasn’t feeling that hungry. In fact, she was fighting back the first tears she’d had since her last piece family died.

I’m useless. Everyone else has improved in these years except me. I’ve stayed the same. I’m the same strength, the same skill level, the same feelings and thoughts. Everyone else has improved. Toshi and Garren, or Gaitei, became more powerful than I ever dreamt they would be, Riv, or Izzy, rather, and Rayne may not have improved much on their power, but they found somewhere they could belong. Arunue not only became a happier person, she found Hiroshi. What did I find or improve upon? I improved on nothing and I found nothing. Everyone else in the group has their best buddies that they always hand around. Toshi has Rayne and now Riv since Symoni’s gone, Arunue has her brother and Gaitei, Celestia has Ansunan, there’s no one left. I’m left alone. I suppose I should like it, though. I’ve always favored solitude. Kieko thought, she made up the last thought to try to cheer herself up, but she knew it wasn’t true so it didn’t help. She was trying desprately to keep back her tears. Maybe they don’t need me anymore. Now that they’ve got Celestia and Asunan, maybe they have enough people and they don’t need me.

“Uh, Kieko? You ok?” Arunue asked.
“Huh? Oh, yeah. I’m fine.” Kieko said, realizing she had picked her food clean to the bone and it’s pieces were lying scattered on the floor. She began to pick them up and put throw them in the fire.
“Oh, come on. A little soil won’t hurt them.”
“I’m not that hungry anyway.” Kieko said as she threw the last piece in the fire. She got up and began to walk further into the cave.
“Where you going?”
“Here.” Kieko said as she sat down at the farthest corner of the cave. She could be barely made out by the light of the fire and she knew this, so she started crying quietly. No one would hear or see her anyway.

Maybe I should sit here the rest of my days and die looking at the daylight outside the entrance. Kieko thought and then she fingered her daggers. Or maybe I should end it now… No. when the time comes, I will decide what to do. Eventually I will leave them, whether it’s alive or not, but for now I will see just how much I’m really needed…

Arunue sighed and pulled her knees to her chin. Her brother was eating happily and talking. She wasn't listening though. She saw a mental image of Toshi and Veil. Her eyes filled with envy. She wasn't sure if she either envyed Toshi, because his lover was there, or Veil, because she had....Toshi.... She shook the thought out of her mind, wondering how it got there in the first place. And no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop heself from thinking about them.
Arunue got up and walked out of the cave without a word. Hiroshi saw the expression on her face and knew she needed time alone. She walked beside the high rocks for a few minutes and finnaly sat down on one. She looked around. It was starting to get slightly dark, the sky growing pink and orange. She sighed and watched the lovely colors. Then yet again, Toshi and Veil entered her mind. Arunue clenched her teeth and shut her eyes. She chenched her fists hard. She was trying so hard not to cry, but a tear rolled down her cheeck, landing on the rock. She opened her eye and unclenched her teeth. She opened up her hands and looked at the blood all over them. she had squeezed her hands shut so tight, that her finger nails had dug deep into her palm. She ran her hand through her hair, the blood streaking in the colorless bleach blond.
She cried for a few minutes from envy, then it grew to anger. She stood up and turned to a large rock, she puched at it, shattering it. She continued to tear at the rocks for an hour, before Hiroshi finnally came and stopped her, picking her up in his arms.

OCC- Thanks god nobody said anything about the kid thing. I decided to screw that idea. Got a better one planned. Man those last two posts were seriously emotional.

IC-

"You're not alone," Rayne said as he sat on a ledge near the top of the mountain. He had heard Kieko's thoughts. They were strong but sad thoughts.
Rayne shook his head. "If only I had the courage to tell you...," he said.

Toshi looked to Veil. "I'm sorry Veil," Toshi said. Veil looked up. Her expression showed fear. "Sorry for what," she asked?
Toshi tried to be a man and not make this hard upon both of them. "It's hard to say this. We grew up together and have known eachother our entire lives but now...," he said.
"Buuuut," she said slowly. Toshi took a deep breath. "I can't be with you anymore," Toshi said. Veil looked at Toshi with a sad expression.
But Toshi had lost his love of Veil recently. To another. Toshi put his arm around Veil and held her tight.
"I'll always care for you," Toshi said. Tears began to roll down her eyes. Veil looked to Toshi. She sniffed.
"I want you to be safe. If anything ever happened to you I don't know what I would do and that means...I can't be with you," Toshi said.
Veil shook her head desperetly. "I don't know what I did," she said. Toshi sighed.
"I'm sorry," Toshi said. Veil stood up. She looked at him. "All I can say is that I can't believe this," Veil said.
She began to run. Toshi watched as his former lover went of sight. He sighed. "Did I do the right thing," he said.

OOC: Ok, typing from reltives house... last chance for internet probably ^^;;

Toshi better not be fallin' inlove with Arunue... lol Gaitei: Grrr...
~~~
The whole time Gaitei sat in his usual position, knees hiding half of his face. He was oddly not hungry at all, but rather, the thought of food made him almost queezy. He would like to think the behavious unexplained, but he knew it was from the emotional chaos. Nothing seemed to be going right with him... and it bothered him, obviously. Once again, he started thinking about what he could do to somehow make Arunue like him... even the tiniest bit.
Hiroshi was just outside the cave, calming Arunue down. Though it was dark, Gaitei saw them clearly. What was this about? She seemed to be angry at nothing. A feeling hit Gaitei, two at once actually. The first was worry- for Arunue. The second was jealousy- though not his own. He wondered where it had come from, though the answer was obvious. Hedidn't know why he would feel Arunue's emotions... but it was there, undeniably.
The question for him was... who was she jealous of? He silently prayed he wasn't the subject of her anger, but it would bring him some level of releif to know that she was thinking about him at all.
OOC: OK, I'm giving all rights to play Gaitei to Runy, since she knows how my mind works more than you guys. lol
OOC- Sir, yes sir.
IC- Arunue had calmed down slightly. She had her head rested in her borther's lap and he was comforting her silently, stroking her hair. She sighed and closed her eyes. For some reason she felt better now. She felt releived for some reason. She wasn't sure why. But she drifted off too sleep in her brothera arms.
Hiroshi shook his head. He knew that his sister was upset. He decided that it would be best to ask about it when she was over it. He knew somewhat that she had to sort out her feelings herself for a little bit before he stepped in to try and understand. All he wanted was for her to be happy. Thats the only thing in the world he wanted. For his little sister to be happy and for him to be there with her. He shifted his weight and got comfortable, wraped his arms around his sister and drifted off to sleep too, leaning up against a rock.
OOC- that was short :crying:
Toshi leaned up against a tree stump. What had he just done. The sun was going down. The water came back and forth on this shore.
He loved another. But he hadn't wanted to leave Veil. Feelings of loniless came to Toshi's mind. What if the one he loved didn't want him. Than he had made a terrible mistake. Veil would never take him back.
Toshi stood up. He looked at the sunset. His mistake had cost him something dear to his heart. He now knew that Veil was much more dear to his heart than Arunue. He knew it. And now she would never have him back.
Toshi sighed. Now what to do. Toshi began to walk along the beach. His heart crumbling with every step.
But how did he know that Veil wouldn't want him back. It wasn't worth not trying. Arunue had someone. And that someone was Garren. Toshi knew Arunue well. She would not give up hope that her love would return and Toshi would not interfere.
Toshi closed his eyes. He felt Veil's presence not to far from here. Toshi dissapeared and appeared before Veil.
Her eyes met his. "I'm sorry Veil. I love you," Toshi said. Veil looked confused yet overjoyed. "If I'm to go with any danger, it's going to be with you. If I had to die with you I would. I made a mistake and I'm so sorry," Toshi said.
Veil shook her head. "Just shut up and kiss me," she said.
Later that night
Rain poured hard on the mountain. Rayne's face became stern. "Hawk," he said.
OOC: Time to cheer a special someone up!
IC:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While Kieko was pondering and crying, Celestia and Asunan opened their eyes in unison--they knew what Kieko was thinking. Both tried to clear this from their minds, but the feeling was too powerful. They looked at each other and decided to talk to Kieko. She was sitting in a very dark and tiny chamber in the cave.

"Hello, Kieko," Asunan greeted as she sat down next to Kieko. Celestia did the same thing. Asunan then held out her hand and formed a small, glowing orb, which lit up that part of the cave. Kieko put her head down and sighed heavily.
"It's OK," Celestia comforted her, "I know how you feel. When I was transported to this universe, I felt as badly as you did, that I got the short end of the stick... But don't worry. I'm sure things will turn out for you..."
"You know what?" Asunan asked Kieko. "Change doesn't always have to be good. When I was transported here, my archery skills weakened slightly, and my body temperature decreased, so I have to wear this cloak to keep warm... You must be glad that nothing happened to you."
"Yeah," Kieko muttered, still sad, "but I haven't made any..."
"Don't worry about that!" Celestia interrupted. "I know everyone else is together with someone, and that's really depressing..."
"But," Asunan continued, "that can end now. The three of us can be friends! How would you like that?"
"Hmmm..." Kieko thought. She looked at Celestia, then Asunan, then put her head down again, still thinking.

OOC: And that's a short post!

OOC: I lost miserably T_T 6-10.

Aw! I’m so happy I’m a special person ^_^!
_______________________________________
Kieko was a little bit cheered up by Celestia and Asunan’s offer, but they weren’t the ones who she wanted to be close friends with. She really just wanted to become close friends with Arunue again. And, really what she meant by she hasn’t met anyone yet it that she wants to meet someone special, like Toshi met Veil or Arunue met Garren. But she decided that she shouldn’t turn them away just because she was picky. She looked up.

“Sure.” She said. What did she have to loose?
“Good! Just say something when you need something!” Celestia said and she and Asunan moved back to where they had been sitting before they were interrupted by Kieko’s thoughts. Kieko too got up, but she was walking out of the cave. “Where are you going?” Celestia asked.
“Just out for a walk.” Kieko replied, and she stepped out into the cool night air.

So now I can’t think without someone reading my thoughts? That could get annoying… Kieko sighed at the thought. Oh, well. At least the moon is full.

Kieko liked full moons. They gave off silvery light and made everything seem like a dream so if anything bad happened, you could say it was a dream and not real. She walked for a while in the silvery light, thinking about her friends and Hawk. Basically she was thinking about an assortment of things. Everyone always said life was like a box of chocolates, there’s an assortment of things so you never know what you’re going to get.

I don’t agree with that. Every piece of candy in a box of chocolates is sweet. Well, not ever piece of life is sweet, so I see no relation to one another. And, for every action, you should expect a reaction and you should be able to predict what that reaction will be. So it’s really not a guessing game more than a game of choice. And sometimes we make the wrong ones… Kieko thought, remembering all the choices she and the group could’ve made differently and how they would have effected the situation they were in now. But usually it’s not until after an incident that you look back and make the better choice.

She continued walking before she spotted something lying by a rock. She ran over. It appeared to be a person. They didn’t look hurt, but Kieko assumed it was because their injuries were in the brain, probably from when they were transported to this realm. Kieko looked at their face and her eyes widened in shock.

“Symoni?”

OOC- *twitch* *twitch twitch* O.o

IC- Arunue's eyes opened slowly. It was still night and Hiroshi was still asleep. She sat up and looked around. Not much to see, it was dark and the wind was slightly heavy. She stood up and walked twords the mouth of the cave. She looked in; people were missing but everyone who remained were asleep. She turned away from the cave and walked away after watching the last flicker die from the fire. She walked blindly through the cold night, her mind blank, but she didn't care. She didn't want to think about anything at the moment. She just wanted to run into someone, to run into one of her freinds that had left the cave earlier. Kieko had left. Arunue smiled. She looked around, but looked back down when she realized that Kieko probably wasn't anywhere near her. She might even be still in the cave, but a little further into it. Arunue hung her head an continued to walk, thinking now about keiko; the freindship they had so long ago, before this whole thing started. Kieko had helped her so many times when she was upset.
Arunue sat down and leaned against a tree. She thought about her freinds. Kieko was there for her, Toshi.....she didn't want to talk to Toshi about anyhting at the moment, Garren was...gone. She hated to think it but her lover was gone. But she had Gaitei. Gaitei would do anything to get her to notice him. She felt reassured that she had him behind her if she needed it.
Arunue stood back up and continued to walk, this time looking for Kieko. She knew that she was out here somewhere, but she was too cold to pinpoint her. Arunue crossed her arms over her chest and pulled her jacket closet to her.

Rayne rushed down the mountain side. Slipping at times. Finally he reached the edge of the cave. People were missing. "Damnit," he said. Where could they be at this time of night.
Hawk lauched himself of the side of the cave and began to continue down the base of the mountain.
Toshi was near the beach with Veil. Rayne could feel it but...Arunue. Where was she? Rayne kicked off from the ground now and grabbed a tree and spun himself around it. He landed on the ground with a thud.
Symoni! Rayne looked as he saw Symoni on the ground. He walked forward but instantly realized that Kieko, Asunan, and Celestia were all here too.
They were staring blankly at him. "Um. Hi guys," he said. Kieko shook her head.

Meanwhile Arunue walked through the small forest that surrounded the mountain. She was getting further from the mountain than she wanted to be.
"You're walking to your doom Cascade," said a voice that sounded similiar to that of Shakia. Arunue whirled around. Nothing.
"Face your death," said another voice. Deeper than the last and unfamiliar. Arunue looked at a tree that she hadn't seen before. Suddenly an arm grew out of the tree's trunk.

It grabbed at Arunue. She jumped out of the way but it persued. "Don't run Kalamara," said the voice that sounded like Shakia.
Arunue turned her head. The hand took this opportunity and grabbed Arunue's wrist. She looked at the tree.
Her sword was back in the cave. Arunue struggled to get free of the firm grip of the arm. Suddenly out of the tree came the rest of the being.
It had a large black hat and it's hair covered it's entire face. Two large demonic wings shadowed Arunue.
He wore a large coat and had dark red pants. He smiled. "You have no clue who I am do you," he said.
Arunue shook her head while still struggeling. It tightened his grip upon Arunue's arm. "Existence is no mystery to me my dear. Fear is what all existence is made for," he said. It's arm was gray and somewhat scared by cuts. His fingernails were long.
Arunue suddenly realized something. She had the power of the robe at her command. She quickly lifted her arm to Hawk's body. The tatoo lit up fast and the beam fired off from her hands. It shot through the beings body and it dissolved.
Arunue watched the hand slowly dissolved. She sighed. What was that thing. "You think you destroyed me dear," came the voice of Shakia again.
Her eyes became wide and her body stiffened. "There is no way to kill me," the voice said. The being began to take form again behind her.
"You know who I am," he said. Arunue searched her mind. It came quick to her but it only frightened her more.
This was Hawk.

IC-
Arunue sighed and thoughts raced through her mind. I can't use The Robe, she thought, and all my wepons are with Hiroshi. Aw, shit. She wasn't sure what to do. She took one step back. "You can't run." Hawk said, cooly. Arunue crouched an smiled. "I wasn't planning to," She said as she launched herself at him, driving her fist into his stomach. He doubled over for a minute then regained his stance. I'm dead! Arunue though. I'm dead, thats all there is to it, I can't fight back, I'm dead...

Kieko, Asunan, and Celestia stared at Rayne for a while. Then they all looked down at Symoni. Then they all shrugged, but Kieko was still a bit in shock. Asunan and Celestia began to walk back to the cave, realizing that Kieko and Rayne needed to be alone to help Symoni.

As soon as Celestia and Asunan entered the cave, the first thing they saw was Arunue's sword lying on the ground. At first, they were confused at the fact that Arunue had left it behind, but then a realization came to both of them...
"Arunue's in trouble!" they both shouted in unison. Then they looked at each other and wondered what to do.
"Asunan," Celestia suggested, "you can tell the others about it, and I'll give Arunue her sword. She's right--she can't fight Hawk alone without a weapon..." Asunan nodded, and she ran from the cave. Celestia picked up Arunue's sword and did the same, except she headed for the forest.

Arunue winced and fell to the ground from the force of Hawk's punch.
"You're pathetic," Hawk said in a menacing tone. "Those tattoos work differently for my sons than they do for me. True, they destroyed them..." and he said those last few words with slight sorrow, then continued in his original tone, "but they have no effect whatsoever on me. I will succeed in my plan, and part of it is destroying you." And with that, he clenched his fists, exposing his long, clawlike fingernails. He opened his right hand, ready to scratch Arunue. Arunue looked up at him and tried to get out of the way, but she didn't have enough time...

Fortunately, when Hawk's nails were about half an inch away from Arunue's face, Hawk's hand was thrown back, followed by his whole body. Arunue was confused for a moment until she looked to her left and saw Celestia standing there, using her powers to prevent Hawk from moving. Celestia looked sideways at Arunue, still careful to keep her concentration on Hawk. She then gently threw the sword back to Arunue, advising her to pick it up and continue the fight. But then, Hawk managed to free himself and scratched Celestia deeply on her right arm. Then, she heard someone coming...

Asunan had led Kieko, Gaitei, Hiroshi, and Rayne to the scene.
"Celestia, I think you better contact Toshi, Izzy, and Veil--you can reach them faster if you fly..." Asunan suggested, partially out of breath because she was in a slight panic. Celestia winced for a moment, then got up and flew over towards where Toshi and Veil were.

Meanwhile, Arunue resumed her fight with Hawk. She held out her sword and attempted to stab Hawk in the chest, but she missed and instead hit his arm because Hawk had turned around to dodge a swing of Rayne's axe. As the others joined the fight, Hawk just smiled more broadly.

Shakia appeared from the gathering afternoon mists, "May I be of service?" he asked. Hawk looked at him as if he were stupid, "I think I've got it thanks Shakia," Shakia smiled, "And who did I ask if I could help?" Shakia seemed to melt away, and in his place was the smiling figure of Rein aka. Yeix. "Evil guys always trick others then don't protect themselves from tricks from the good guys," Yeix said, still smiling. He looked at the others fighting him, only Arunue looked back, she had been given some time to rest and heal since so many others were fighting in her place, "They always think that we are too bullheadedly good to be as tricky as them, and I pity them in their ignorance."

Yeix lifted into the air and unsheathed his sword, rather, Isisku's sword and the familiar light manifested as had not been accustomed. It was a light blue fire this time and Yeix used it to lift the others back away from Hawk. "This will be our fight, Hawk, at least until my rival Isisku gets here."

Toshi ran through the forest. He had instantly sensed Hawk's presence. He'd sent Veil to the cave to grab anybody who still was in the cave and all their equipment.
Toshi reached for the handle of his blade but found nothing but an empty sheath. Toshi dodged the trees and launched off the ground as fast as he could.
His hair wiped backwards in the air. Suddenly a red haired being came towards him. Toshi instantly recognized Shakia.
"What are you doing here," Toshi yelled. Shakia smiled. His fist came flying towards Toshi but Toshi landed on the ground instantly.
"Hawk summoned me. I am one of his agents and have been for a long time now," he said. He stopped in mid air and plunged downwards at Toshi with his fist drawn back.
"Die," Shakia yelled. Toshi jumped out of the way. Shakia's fist connected with the ground. Rocks came flying upwards.
Toshi landed a couple of feet away. "Sorry Shakia. Can't play with your right now," he said. With that Toshi took off. Shakia climbed out of his large hole.
His black crow wing extended from his body. "My true power is about to be revealed," Shakia said.

OOC: Oooh, I love it when the climax of an RPG comes! Now, let me see... Oh! Hope what happens in this post is OK; I'm not quite sure...
IC:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shakia smiled more broadly with each passing second. Everyone seemed to boil over with either excitement or panic. Shakia raised his wing, its black feathers absorbing all light that encountered it, like a black hole. Above, the sky turned darker, darker than any night, blocking out the moon and the stars, red clouds forming there and taking on halos that came from the lights they blocked.
All of a sudden, it looked like it was starting to rain... But this was no ordinary rain. The rain was made of a substance similar to gasoline, except with no smell and, more importantly, higher flammability, plus it was dyed blood red and acidic. Some of the group felt an unpleasant tingling sensation when the rain hit their skin.
Izzy, at that time, had just arrived; he had seen Toshi running towards the forest and decided to follow, wondering what was happening...
"This is it?" Izzy almost laughed. "This is all you can do?" He looked at the rain around him but didn't feel much pain from it.
"Be patient, boy," Shakia sneered. "This is only part one of my plan. Even though we have some mind readers in the audience that have already figured that plan out, I assure you it'll be everyone's worst nightmare."
While Shakia said that, Celestia and Asunan got an uneasy feeling because Shakia was looking straight at them.
"Where's Hawk?" Gaitei wondered, noticing that Hawk was gone.
"And where's Arunue?" Hiroshi questioned.
"Where's Yeix?" Kieko asked.
"It appears," Toshi concluded, "that they have run off to battle privately..."
"Precisely," Celestia and Asunan said in unison.
"Now," Izzy suggested, "we must focus on Shakia." But as soon as he said this, a large, purple raven flew over the forest. Small embers flew from its wings, and as they hit the ground, the trees in the forest immediately caught on fire, spreading the flames quickly via the flammable rain.
"Hey, you guys," Asunan announced, "you take care of Shakia; he's outnumbered five to one... We're going out to take care of another villain that has returned from the dead." And with that, she was grabbed by Celestia, and within seconds, they flew off, following the giant raven's path.
"Who..." Toshi muttered. He was confused, wondering why Celestia and Asunan just ran off abruptly in the middle of a fight. The others had taken out whatever weapons they had, and Toshi could hear metal clashing and Shakia laughing. He shrugged, looked down, and found to his amazement that his sword had been repaired and now lay in perfect condition...
OCC: Since when were Izzy and the rest there? Edit that post and add the part when Izzy and all of them get on the scene okay Nefertimon? We need this story to flow and we need no blank spots if we want this book to be bought by anyone. Okay?
IC: Yeix stood in front of Hawk, the flame of Lemaria was in full force trying to pin Hawk down and pierce him, but he seemed to be made of smoke and was not hurt when the spikes of flame came down upon his heart. Hawk laughed at his failed attempts, "Just because you have that sword doesn't mean that it'll work. Big deal, you used your remaining powers and melded them with what you could use of the Light, it won't work no matter how hard you try, the fire is as material as you are and therefore holds no candle to my power."
Yeix thought about this for a moment, contemplating his predicament, then retracted the flames back to the sword from whence they came. "I... can't beat you," he said in despair. Then he tossed the sword into the air and yelled "Isisku! I give you your sword!"
Almost immediately the dark figure of Izzy came running from the forest, going so fast that he seemed to be flying, even though that was not on his talent list. He jumped and caught the sword just as it came into his reach and turned on Hawk, "My brother may not have been able to stop you, but I will be... hey! Where'd that come from?" It seemed that as soon as Izzy took hold of the sword, everything changed, Izzy's hair was now white and so were his clothes, he was Riv again.
Toshi held his sword. New and reconstructed. Rayne held his axe out at Shakia. "We're going to kill you Shakia," Rayne yelled.
Toshi looked up from his sword to Shakia slowly. "Rayne back off," Toshi said. Rayne looked as Toshi began to step forward.
"I will kill you once and for all," Toshi said. Shakia withdrew his sword. "Fine," he said. Shakia lifted his sword above his head.
Toshi slashed at Shakia but his slash was blocked by Shakia's blade. Toshi jumped backwards. He launched off the ground and made another attempt for a slash.
Shakia swung his sword at Toshi. The sharp blade connected with Toshi's arm. Blood fell on the ground.
Toshi put his sword in it's sheath and gripped his bloody arm. He looked at the cut. Long and deep. "Damn," Toshi said in a raspy voice.
Shakia smiled. "Your power has decreased greatly," Shakia said. Toshi unsheathed his sword and swung hard and Shakia.
"You wish," Toshi said. Shakia blocked with his own sword. The two stood in a hard stance. Their swords locked together.
"Don't stall," Shakia said. Toshi shook his head.
"I'm not," Toshi said. He backed up. "It's you who needs to pick up the pace." Toshi put his sword in his sheath again.
"Let's truly fight," Toshi said. He rushed forward. Shakia did not put his sword away. Shakia swung at Toshi.
This time his blade connected with Toshi's face. The cut spread from between Toshi's eyes and down to his nose to the middle of his cheek.
Toshi put his hand on his face. "Like I said before. Your power is decreasing fast. I could kill you easily," Shakia said.
Toshi looked wearily at Shakia. Blood dripped from his chin.
OOC: *hits herself on the head* Darn, my last few posts leave something to be considered... Oh well, I'll post this because I don't know what else to post...
IC:
The dark purple raven that spread flames over the forest was flying away from the battlefield, almost determined to face its opponents in private. Looking back briefly, it glimpsed Celestia flying towards it, carrying Asunan with her. After a few seconds passed, Celestia flew closer and managed to grab onto the bird's foot. One of its claws was bright red, and embers fell from it to the forest below. But within moments, the giant bird was soaring over the hills and the beach where Veil once sat, eventually crossing the ocean.
"Come on, Asunan," Celestia suggested. "Let's climb on top of her and await the..." But she was interrupted by an abrupt move from the bird: it stopped mid-air, tilted upward about ninety degrees, and shot straight up into the air, perpendicular to the sea below.
"Normally," Asunan realized, "birds stall when they fly up into the air like this..."
"But this is no ordinary bird..." Celestia began to say, but at that moment, the two girls were dropped. Celestia flew out and caught Asunan, then spun around to find some sort of wormhole in the bird's place.
"That wormhole must lead to where the bird is," Asunan assumed.
"Yes," Celestia agreed, "and I know who that bird is..."
"Me too," Asunan added. There was a long pause.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Asunan blurted imaptiently. "Ent..." But before she could say anything else, Celestia flew into the portal, taking Asunan with her.
The two girls found themselves in a small, dark room. In the center stood a table with a crystal ball on it. The ball showed Arunue fighting Hawk--she was grabbed by Hawk and fired a tattoo beam at his face...
"Um... hello?" said a voice in the corner. "...You can come closer; I'm very lonely and scared..." At this, Celestia and Asunan looked at each other and smiled quite broadly. Then they jumped up and down in excitement and ran towards the little girl in the dark corner of the room, whom the other two immediately recognized...
"Mereduin!" Celestia cried, hugging her little sister tightly. "You haven't changed a bit! I kept wondering whether... what?" Asunan tapped Celestia's shoulder and pointed to the other end of the room. Perched on a low shelf was the purple raven, this time the size of a normal bird. Celestia and Asunan stood together, staring at the bird, slowly getting their weapons out... Mereduin stepped back, turning to the crystal ball again. She saw Toshi and Rayne battling Shakia this time. The forest around them was engulfed in flame. At this, she merely thought, Someone must have stolen my powers... But then she shrugged, shook her head, realizing that what she had just thought was not true. She turned back to the raven and flinched, slightly intimidated by it...
"We have to get you out of here," said Celestia decisively, she reached out to help Mereduin to her feet, but she didn't take her hand. "We can't, it's impossible," a tear rolled down her cheek. Celestia looked at her for the first time it seemed, "I know, I know," Mereduin continued, "you're thinking I haven't tried, you're thinking I've given up. That's not true, first I tried to get out of here the old fashioned way, find an opening to let me out. I found one, but the raven blocked my way. I kept trying to out wit it and fight against it, all of that stuff, but he wouldn't be balked, no matter how hard I tried. Now I'm trying to find a place in here that has a freak time-space warp by looking through all past time with that crystal ball, I think I'm up to about a few minutes ago, and I haven't found a thing. There's no way out unless the raven lets us out."
Hawk stared at the transformation as did... whoever else was able to see it, a reincarnated being made into one of it's past states, that was unheard of! But nonetheless, it was there, in front of their eyes, Riv, the legendary swordsman, alive and well. Yeix knew that he knew this new ally, but couldn't put a name to the picture. Riv looked at himself, "Wow, I'm back," was all he could say.
Riv looked to Hawk, then his eyes went wide, the thing standing in front of him was something he had seen and killed before, though in another form, yet it was standing in front of him! He didn't even think, he leaped into the air on a course to land on Hawk, the Light drawn from Lemaria forming spikes that would skewer Hawk on impact. Hawk evaded the light, but forgot to take down Riv, who turned in midair just as fast as Hawk was evading and formed the light into a hook which took off his right arm. Now it was Arunue and Yeix's turn to be wide eyed, how come he could hurt Hawk when they couldn't even touch him?
Toshi's eyes became wide as he realized that a familiar presence had returned to their midst. Riv was back.
Shakia clenched his fist. "My master is getting impatient with you flies," he said. Toshi knew that the battle with Hawk was changing again and again with every flying moment that passed.
Shakia turned around and took a couple of steps.
He smiled. "But of course. No matter what happens you will not be able to defeat Hawk," he said. "It is impossible. I've seen how my power is comparred to his."
Toshi wiped the blood from his face. His energy was decreasing faster now. Fast enough to feel. "How can Hawk's power be this great," Toshi questioned.
Shakia smiled. "As you know Hawk is not existent within our world, our realm. His origins are unknown to even myself. I do know however that Hawk's power cannot be contained within this realm. So then the question is why is he here," Shakia explained. "He is not here. What you are seeing is Hawk's mind creating a puppet with the limit of power that can be contained within this world.
I doubt even that even my superiors, Uni and Ios, know what his true form is," Shakia explained. "All we underlings know of his existence is what I have explained."
Toshi shook his head in disbelief. "You mean to say Hawk is beyond our conception. We cannot understand him," he said.
Shakia nodded.
Rayne gripped his axe. "Well then. Until the time comes to fight this force we'll battle through it's minions."
Toshi nodded with his eyes closed. "Precisly. We can't stop because of Hawk's overwhelming power. We can never stop. Even if our world is destroyed. Even if all the universes are destroyed. We'll never stop," Toshi said.
Shakia smiled. "Then kill me first," he said.
Suddenly a ring appeared between Toshi and Shakia. Within the ring came Arunue. The ring dissapeared.
"Gladly," she said. Both of Arunue's arms raised and the tatoos began to glow. "This is for the pain that you have caused us all Shakia. For the endless returns, and for my restless nights. This is how I forgive you," she said.
The beams came charging from her hands. It flowed through the air and finally touched Shakia. His last atom dissapeared.
Arunue sighed. "Arunue. Aren't you supposed to be fighting Hawk," Toshi asked? Arunue laughed. "Of course. But I couldn't resist finishing that scum bag off. For the first time in my life I feel like he is truly gone. And I know that will be enough to keep him gone," Arunue said.
OCC: Hey! So you have access to a PC there in AZ do you Box? Also, someone needs to contact Noelle! I miss her!
IC: As soon as Arunue had done this though, a giant, slug-like creature came from outside of the clearing that they had been fighting in. Toshi instantly recognized it as Rimnil from Riv's descriptions of it.It was followed by an army of evil-looking beings, the three just watched as the army and their leader surrounded them and faced them. It was like a giant slug as said before, except it's skin was pale from lack of sunlight and the only hint of color it had said that the skin was humanoid, and it's head seemed to meld with the rest of the blubbery body. The eyes were dark and piercing, the mouth sliced through half of the neck area, Rimnil was a truly hideous creature. When Rimnil spoke it was in a deep and raspy voice as if it was rarely used, the mouth opened widely to accomidate the volume it used, "I am Rimnil. Know that name well, as it is the last one you will ever learn."
"Isn't that--?"
"Yes," Toshi cut off Arunue, "Riv's former arch enemy. HEY!" he said to Rimnil, "Ain't you supposed to be dead or something?"
Rimnil ignored him and, though there was no apparent signal, his army lunged at the three, in all a few thousand evil creatures, swords unsheathed. Arunue, Rayne and Toshi instantly formed an out-facing triangle and readied their weapons. They would have decimated the army in a few minutes if it weren't for the fact that whenever they struck down a soldier, the separated parts would turn into separate soldiers and lunge at them four fold. Toshi and Rayne decapitated their enemies and Arunue blasted them to bits. They all came to the conclusion that this was hopeless, "We need to get to Rimnil," Toshi said, "He's the source of their Hydratic aspects," Rayne added, "The more we kill the more there are in their place.
Arunue thought for a while about this, still blasting grotesque creatures into oblivion, even though they never reached it. "I'll go, I can transport myself there," before the other two could say anything else, she was gone, disappeared through the rings of light. "Great," said Rayne, looking at the army closing in on all sides "now it's just us."
Arunue appeared in the air just in front of Rimnil and held herself there, arms pointed at the enemy's neck. Rimnil smiled, "You won't be able to kill me that way," he said. Arunue quickly said, "I'll give it a good try," and Rimnil's head fell into the living sea of his own army, the body deflated as if it were a balloon.
The army was still attacking Toshi and Rayne, but now the separated parts were staying dead. Rimnil had controlled their weakminded evil and now that they were uncontrolled, they were fighting each other as well as Toshi and Rayne. To Arunue it looked like a giant mosh pit, everyone attacking everyone else.
They continued fighting for a while like this, then, suddenly, they were all attacking Rayne and Toshi again, and another sluglike being slithered out from where the last one had come. Rimnil looked at Arunue, "I told you," was all he said.
OCC: This should create some confusion :smirk:
Kieko watched this madness from a tree branch. She'd hidden so that they would still have reinforncments if the main fighters lost.
This was madness. An onslaught of enemies were being summoned here. First Shakia and now Rimnil and his army.
Toshi stabbed a slug soldier. It fell to the ground and began to boil and dissapate. Rimnil laughed at their feeble attempts at trying to kill his hordes.
Meanwhile Riv stood before Hawk. The two surveying each others powers. "Why do you keep bringing our enemies back to fight," he questioned.
He sense Hawk's glaring eyes from under that mess of hair that covered them.
"Those who oppose my power deserve this punishment. It is my way of seperating the good and bad," Hawk said.
Riv gritted his teeth. "But who is good," he asked. Hawk did not answer this question. Instead, he turned his back.
"Stupidity. Is that what existing entails. The answer is clear," Hawk said. Riv put Lemaria on his shoulder.
"You mean those who believe that there is no point to existing are the good. The one's who fight and wish for to exist are bad," Riv said.
Hawk nodded.
"But then what does not existing offer," Riv asked. Hawk turned around again. He was facing Riv.
"It is what is offered within existence that poisons you. It clouds your mind of the true reality. To not exist means that you will no longer be you or anyone. You will not be anything. There will be nothing. Nothing to represent nothing. And that will be what it is," Hawk explained.
Riv clenched his fists in fury. "Then there is nothing to be. Nothing good or bad. Doesn't thar scare you," Riv said.
Hawk laughed. "It is because of the good and bad in this world that I am doing this. To end all suffering and if it means ending all fun then let it be so," Hawk said.
Riv couldn't take it anymore.
"Then you must be stopped. We can bear the suffering of this world. The good that comes with existing is far greater than the bad," he said.
Hawk smiled. "If this is your decision, I must stop you," Hawk said. Suddenly the blackness of Hawk's arm began to glow.
A tatoo appeared. "You're fate is decided," Hawk said.
OCC- I'm messing with your minds. AHAHAHA!
"I've met fate once," said Riv, "All three of them, in fact, and they said that with Lemaria came the power to avoid them, I can make my own fate when I'm concentrating, and that is exactly what I intend to do."
Hawk, standing, one arm cut off, seemed intimidating to everyone, and Riv knew that this would be a long and tough battle, and that they would have to try some old tricks if they wanted to win, tricks that hadn't work before but had to work now. They just had to. He knew that Lemaria would get exhausted of it's power after a while of interaction with a nonexistent being for this long, and he had to find a way to transfer power from somewhere else so that he could give them some time to think about what they were going to do.
He swung Lemaria around, not saying anything, forming a giant wrecking ball of light on a collision course with Hawk who, of course, evaded. That was what Riv wanted. He formed the Light into a thin blade and cut right through Hawk. Hawk split in two, and fell to the ground. Riv rushed to him and cut him up until he was unrecognizable.
"That should keep him out of our way for a while," Riv said to himself, "it'll take him a while to heal from that much damage."
Suddenly, Riv noticed a more familiar energy signal in the near forest. "Rimnil," Riv growled.
Arunue hovered in the air for a while, trying to asses their problems from a bird's eye view.
As it seems, the army can't be destroyed because their source of power is Rimnil, and Rimnil can't be killed either, for a likely different reason.
It was hopeless.
Then Riv came into the clearing, Lemaria sheathed. He turned to Rimnil and unsheathed Lemaria.
Then again
Gaitei, Hiroshi, Kieko, Symoni, and Yeix had joined Toshi and Rayne in fighting back the army and could only take a few glances at what Arunue could only stare at. Riv didn't even use Lemaria's light for this - an old fashioned physical sword attack. He leaped into the air to almost as high as Arunue was floating, Lemaria facing down. With one stroke it seemed, Rimnil became decorated with the nicest, reddest, gridlines that you might have ever seen on a 3D wireframe model.
Rimnil fell, in twenty thousand perfectly shaped cubes.
And all this happened in about, 10 seconds.
