kenshinsbabe
Some people say that it's healthy to keep a diary of all your poems. Like, from the very first one you write. I've been writing poems for a few years now, and I've never had a poem diary. Sometimes, I just write about what's on my mind. For example, my sister made me really mad one day and I wrote a poem about how I would love to be alone and by myself, to be cut off from everyone I hate. But then, the next day, I saw a guy and I started to have a sort of crush type thing (but I didn't know anything about him. I just saw him holding a guitar and he played really well. He looked so poetic, and, well, you could say that I go weak in the knees for music. . .) And then I wrote a poem about how I would love to be with the man of my dreams. So, I want your thughts about poem diaries and how they should be used. Please and thank you!! ^-^
Shi no Tenshi
I have nearly 20-30 notebooks from since I was about 12 filled with poems. I carry my latest notebook around with me and only a select few can read it. It's nice to see how your style evolves or shapes itself around your mood. My poems went from being very spiritual and philosphical to being very odd. And I mean odd. I wrote about raw meat and gingerbread men the other day >.o

Doukeshi
I have a couple, though they are not so much for my works but for other people's work that I like, or say snippets from songs that I find meaningful and such. Sometimes I add my own stuff to them but rarely.
Luminous
I have something rather akin to a poem diary.....Its just a notebook, with poems, drawings... letters.... whatever.... I used to carry it around, but one day in school, somebody decided to be an ***, and hid it from me. A teacher found it and turned it into the guidance counselour. I had to go to guidance like everyday for a month because they were convinced, that, because of some of the material in the notebook I was suicidal. I don't carry it around with me anymore, because some people seemed to think that having it with me invited them to steal it or read it. I still keep it at home though. Occasionally, I'll bring it up to the library to copy down info for things, or to post some poems or wahtever, on myO site. I ahven't done that in a while though...... ja ne! ~luminous
Ellie3
I have a poem diary.hah! It was given to me by a counselor!!Just because I wrote a poem about a girl who killed herself cause her life was not worth living if no one knew she was living it.I told the counselor nothing was wrong with me its just something I write and she just gave me a book to write my poems in.I got another notebook with recent poems in it. My friends read it sometimes and tell me I'm good, people on the internet tell me that my poems aren't too bad but the meanings are the best. :D :D I'm so cool  yay! Yeah but the poem diaries are great to keep especially to tell how your style in writing or in personality has changed. Lady Asphyxia
I generally don't write poems, so I don't have a poem diary. But I always reccomend keeping everything you've written. There've been times when I wanted to read the very first things I've written. I realised recently that I only have 3 chapters of the first fanfiction I wrote, when I'd written something like 12, and it's really disappointing to realise that you've lost a piece of your history. It's like losing a memory. Besides which, poetry is a good way to record your feelings at a particular time. So, yes, I'm all for it, heh. ^_^"
Boo
OtakuBoards is quite much my Poem diary lol. Almost every poem I have ever made is on here, so mostly I just look back by searching them. Although I wish I had printed out my "Fluffy the super sheep" stories. I posted them on a few forums except OtakuBoards and it was those forums that went offline. And although I had it on my PC in a word file, my PC crashed so bye bye a few episodes of random written down stories. ;_;
