This is the basic storyline for a manga I'm working on. It's pretty long, so I figured I'd post it here... I'm also working on the script before I do anything else, so.. yeah. Enjoy..o 0;

Memories of Seven

In a land thriving with all forms of life, war raged. It went on for over a decade, costing lives, money, and land. All because the two most well-known countries, Aikutsu and Enjeris refused to settle their differences. Aikutsu, which brimmed with high-tech cities, was the technological center of the world, whereas Enjeris, the leader in magical supply and information, preferred to go back to the original ways where the only equipment one needed was their book of runes and a charm. Both lands progressed, however as pride for their nation grew, hatred for the opposing country did, also.

Each nation had its supporters and allies, and soon it seemed both countries were prepared for an inevitable war. Tension grew, and both nations knew they would soon be needing to put their forces to the test. When the war began, it was merely the calm before the storm. It seemed, even though the sides of the conflict used different resources, their forces were nearly equal in power. What resulted...? Both nations simply caused a destruction that would have been avoidable had earlier peace attempts been successful. They could not pull out of their ways just so the other would be content.

A little information on both. Enjeris was developed in the Dark Ages, when poverty was abound, and all anyone could depend on was their own energy. The people of the nations worked mainly as farmers, spending many hours a day praying to the Divines, hoping they would give them the strength they needed to go on. It seemed to work, many people diving into the act of sorcery and learning magic which would help their crops grow and prosper. Enjeris stuck to the old ways, of course they modernized, although technology never developed very far with the people in its cities. It seemed that there were far more temples and shrines than cities.

Aikutsu, on the other hand, was a very fast developing country. The cities fluorished, and people advanced rapidly. They used technology to create faster ways of farming, and as civilization evolved, the people of the country developed high-tech cities. One company, called NuCreat, was created by a brilliant man known as D.A. Whiteflame. He was obsessed with genetic mutation and splicing, though NuCreat functioned in innumerable other ways because of the massive staff. They provided power to most cities in Aikutsu and supplied most of their general use items. NuCreat was also known for exporting and importing foreign goods, so the company was the people's connection to the lands outside of Aikutsu, unless they were to travel.

The other nations seemed to keep quiet about Aikutsu and Enjeris' neverending rivalry. The major exporters provided goods to both countries without argument. But not even the use of some products was allowed from opposing countries with Aikutsu and Enjeris. For example, a person living in Enjeris could not own one of NuCreat's genetically developed organisms, period. It would be taken and sent back to the company, or even destroyed. No other country seemed to understand these two and their hatred for one another.. They were both ruled by generally fair leaders. Although it has been said that Enjeris' emperor is merely a strict, old man, and Enjeris is ruled by a young person confused and being advised by cutthroat businessmen. Nobody has actually met these rulers, however.

It has been said that there is a hidden country far off to the East, but it is unconfirmed. Nobody knows how they would get their resources or even if it is populated. It is rare that people will go too far East, because great and terrible creatures are said to inhabit the chains of islands which are known as the Demon's Spine.

After the war ended, things began to calm down with Aikutsu and Enjeris, though they knew they could engage in another war at any time. While things cleared up, the countries established elite schools of combat which were simply known as Academys. They were said to train children as young as 5, who had no home, or were simply thrown out, so if the time came for another war, they would be ready. There have also been rumors that the hidden country has an Academy, but no one has even found it yet...

Back to NuCreat. Their Science Department specialized in genetic mutation and splicing, so they began a line of creatures which were born from mixing the DNA of several of the world's races. They produced extremely strong, extremely fast, extremely powerful beings with almost bizarre abilities. Some were entirely useless. So, they divided the line and placed each type of creature into a category, which they named: OrganaWeapon, Generic, and Loverdoll. Each type provided a special use, and these were the company's greatest profit. D.A. Whiteflame became mesmorized with the possibilites of combining higher numbers of DNA, and that was when he created what would be his two strongest, and smartest experiments: WO-892, "Ingelion" and WO-429, "Rozella". He was fascinated with their abilities and intellegence, and eventually decided.. Why not breed them?

He needed to be careful, however, because after the child was born, it needed to be taken away instantly. Why? Because once a child is born from an OrganaWeapon, it seems to take a desperate need to kill its mother. And one so strong could do more than just kill its mother. Every day of Rozella's pregnancy was monitored carefully, and the gestation period was a mere 2 months. After the waiting period was over, WO-07 was born, "Sabishii". There were complications, however, and the child needed to remain in a tank of special liquid... for the next 5 years.

She was finally released from the tank at age 5, and the world seemed..strange to her. So many odd things.. Why...? Why was she created like this? She couldn't question it, it seemed.. no answers came.. and she never saw her parents. Inside, she felt empty. Though there was a constant aching in her heart. From the time she was 'reborn', she was taught to fight, though in secret, she studied, sneaking into the library and reading late at night. Most of her abilities, she learned, would not be developed until she was older.. Older..? What would they use her for, then? When she was more powerful..? Destruction? ... the word was unfamiliar.

As Sabishii grew more intellegent, she began to plan her great escape.. she was kept inside of a mansion-like building on acres of land surrounded by ocean. But she couldn't let anyone know that she was beginning to learn. She hid it so well that nobody grew suspicious. At age 11, she was beginning to grow stronger than even her teachers, and this pleased D.A., who preferred to be referred to as only, "Boss". One night, Sabishii managed to squeeze her tiny frame out of her holding cell, sounding alarms and whatnot. Had her plan gone down the drain...? No.. With a loud cry, she dashed right up the wall and kicked through the glass panel on the ceiling, bounding off into the night. Boss appeared, a minute too late, cursing and screaming, "SABISHII!" That was the last time she heard his voice. Thank the Divine.

In time, she grew up and matured, even changing her name to forget her horrible past, though the signs were still there.. NuCreat's symbol tattooed into her left thigh, and the number '07' in her upper left arm. It was clear what she was, though she never really knew 'what' she was.

She spent her time reading books she found in the garbage, and one night while raiding the trash cans of a small house, she was shot at.. The bullet nearly hit her right in the foot, but it missed. A thin and lanky blonde girl stood, glaring at her, shotgun slung over her shoulder. "...Get outta here!" She screamed.. Little did Sabishii.... who had now changed her name to 'Niyako' know, this person would become her very first, and most loyal friend. Day after day, she followed this blonde girl, and eventually climbed up into her bedroom window! After being confronted by a furious girl, who later introduced herself as Shadow Specter, they eventually became friends.

Niyako never told Shadow much about her past.. that was fine with Shadow, she had a past she'd like to forget, as well. They connected well enough, and out of the blue, they begin talking about the hidden country. It seems exciting to them, and they look up as much information on it as they can. Eventually, they begin a long, dangerous journey to find it.. And they do find the country, Nachtaria. The people in, what is known as Final City, seem very shocked, yet amazed that they survived the way there, and they are instantly asked to join their Academy! Accepting, and knowing what they will be put through, they go on a series of missions to earn money, taking on some impressive weapons, and more importantly making several allies, such as: Murasaki, the Dragon Sage, who is a teacher at the Academy, Mechani, a small, shapechanging mechanical Faerie, and Fortune, a Vampire-Demon hybrid who seems to torment the students of the Academy and has a tendency to attract butterflies.

Nachtaria had been doing some undercover work, and they realized that NuCreat was working on a near-invincible weapon for the next war, which seemed to be the war of wars. They knew that their students needed to go through strict training, and definately put a stop to what they called, "Memories of Seven". What was it..? There was only one way to find out. They needed to infiltrate the main scientific laboratory of NuCreat, before inevitable destruction approached.

So, this group of 5 will travel all over the world, collecting information and defeating those who try and stop them from saving millions of lives.. but they will lose something precious.. and Niyako can feel another presence inside of her.. They must fight to survive, do bizarre tasks, and in the end, come to realize things about themselves that they may wish they haven't. But in the end... Will Magic or Technology win the war...?
