Guest Red xXx
So ever since I was three years old I was terryfied by clowns. I think the movie "IT" could take some credit allong with my evil uncle who loved to scare me with his Clown mask, until I got six years old when I decided to overwin my fear and I kicked a clown in the butt on my sisters ninth birthday. I realized that I had nothing to be afraid of. But ever since god knows when I've been afraid of getting allone, this one is a traumatic fear caused by deaths, a story I never tell because it hurts. So as many other kids I was afraid to sleep allone until the age of nine, the darkness was a terryfying place where everything was loneliness. I've gotten through that part and I've managed well so far, I allways got nervous when people did things I coudn't, like a trip and I got left behind, maybe I also had some fear of dying allone but as soon as I got a girlfriend I've felt totally relieved, but it's only a matter of time before I'm out of the relationship again, or if I get really lucky, nothing happens. So have you ever had any types of fears caused or not caused by anything at all? Feel free to tell or comment ~Chris
Strayed Soul
Im very chlostrophobic. So one of my worst possible fears would be being buried alive or being locked inside of a closent. You have no way to get out and its like the walls are caving in on you. Thats why I have a big room ^_^.

James
Im very chlostrophobic. Thats why I have a big room ^_^.
I am also claustrophobic. I remember watching the scene in Kill Bill 2, where
The Bride gets buried alive in the coffin
...and I could really feel her pain there. The thought of that happening to me is awful. It'd be one of the most cruel things someone could do to me, I think. This also reminds me of an episode of the X-Men cartoon, where
Storm gets locked in a solitary confinement cell for days - it's a tiny little cell, with hardly any light. And I remember that when she first got locked in there, she was crying and screaming for a long time. I felt really bad for her, because I'd hate to be put in that situation.
So, I guess that's probably the only major fear I can think of. I'm not quite sure what the cause is though. But it must be pretty common, because there are a lot of movies and TV shows that feature it in some way. Remember The Sixth Sense, where
the boys lock what's-his-name in the attic? (I think it was the attic o_O) That was so cruel.
Hevn
I'm claustrophobic too. I suffocate when inside a sold four-wall room. I hate tunnels and I'm scared of being in an elevator alone. I was afraid of weird looking clowns before also because of the movie "IT". In addition, it made me arachnophobic too (but I just can't help loving Spiderman) but, then again, I fear creepy crawlies. Anything that crawl gives me goosebumps. Putting it altogether... I hate being stuck in a closed tunnel where I had to crawl my way out with some really big spiders running after me. I used to have dreams like that before.
mononoke_man
Im seriously acrophobic. I'll be probably 10 feet in the air and when I look down, it seems like 50 feet. when I'm high in the air, I freeze and i just can't move. It scares me so bad
Danethol
I would like to think I'm not afraid of anything. Unfortunately, I'm human, and oceans/lakes scare the *&%^ out of me. It's the idea of deep, dark water where my feet can't touch the bottom...the idea that somewhere in the murky depths, something can be slowly creeping up to within inches of me without me even seeing it...ugh. I like to see what's going to attack me, preferably.
Sara
I don't believe I have any irrational fears as such. I'm scared of drowing, but that's largely on account of the fact I'm a horrible swimmer. I'm not a big fan of large twisty staircases, because they make me feel dizzy, and being dizzy is not a good thing to have to deal with when you're a ways above level ground, and between you and it are many rather unforgiving steps. Small spaces (tube slides, closets, snow forts and what-have-you) don't bother me unless I think about it, which I try not to do. I have to admit the prospect of getting stuck and/or suffocating in that sort of situation would be extremely unpleasant, but unless the thought crosses my mind I just have fun with it, heh. Rollercoasters I dislike, but it's not a fear of heights so much as the fact I don't care for the sensation they give me.
Roxie Faye
Haha. This reminds me of the boggarts from Harry Potter. I don't really have too many fears, unless, like Sara, I think about it. My major fears change all the time, too. O_o;;; Currently, my greatest fears include: never having friends - ever, depression, and not finding a career I like. Heh. ^^;;
Balmon
I get nervous if a clown is in the same room with me. I don't care how friendly they may act, how many colourful flowers they pull out of their... jacket... or what cutesy animals they can bend out of balloons. If a clown were to surprise me, I'd probably punch it in the face and RUN. Though I never actually saw It, I did hear many scary things about the movie. I like to think I'm just too busy to watch it... I'm just too damn scared. As far as claustrophobia goes... I'm perfectly fine in tight, confined spaces by myself, but I get very uncomfortable in extremely tight crowds of people. If I'm in a club, or if I'm drunk :), then it doesn't really occur to me. But whenever it seems like I'm in a crowd that's getting swept up in some sort of "crowd mentality", I get nervous. Could you imagine me sober in a crowd of clowns? ChibiHorsewoman
I have a fear of heights, but only under certain situations. For example my brotehr and his friends go canal jumping from this old train tressle and I can't bring myself to walk into the middle of that bridge let alone jump off of it. But There's this train bridge that goes over one of the gorges and some high falls at a state park and I have no problem walking over that. Go figure I don't really like snakes all that much either. But only if they creep up on me, does that make any sense? I like to see them in the zoo and such. Confined spaces don't bother me too much, when I was little I would actually try to camp out in my closet. I found it rather comforting. So yes, I'm a strange person.
instantramen14
I am afraid of deep water (like 20 feet plus or just really murky) too. I am totally afraid of snorkeling in deep water when we go out in our boat. It's like somthing is going to get me. ^_^;; I also have a totally irrational fear of corpses. Just dead decaying bodies. I'm afraid that they're going to wake up and grab me or somthing. Like zombies. I think this might be because I saw Poltergeist when I was about 6 or 7. :shudders: I have never had a problem with clowns or small spaces. I actually love to hide in my closet and think. ^_^;;
Baron Samedi
I don't like not being able to breathe. Like being dunked or whatever. When you go to take a breath, but can't...that's not fun. I'm not too worried by the dark...slightly offput, but thats about it. I can't think of much that I am really afraid of. I think I am probably more afraid of spiders than anything else.
Ellester41
I have a rather stupid fear of...needles. When I got my Hepatitis-something shot, my whole arm puffed up and I got really sick. I threw up and stuff. O_o I was in bed for a few days. So, basically, I don't like needles. Although I did get a thumbtack stuck all the way in my big toe when I was camping... I just yelled at the thing and threw it at a tree. Then I got a band-aid. Thumbtacks aren't needles, though. Ugh. *shudder* I just hate needles. -Elle :blackeye:
