Don't say that too soon :D I'm not done with the three-part animation, sir. This is gonna be a cool movie trilogy where I take over OB and Piro must stop it. It's gonna be called: The Piro Revolution: DW Takes OB ^_^

And that Desert Shadow memory wasn't very happy >: ^o

I've thought of a few more that are sort of...memorable in my opinion. By the way, these are in no particular order...

-My first username change.

-Receiving one nomination in last year's Otaku Awards XD (It was for 'Most Likely to be Here in Two Years, T Man nominated me, heh)

-My first RPG (unsuccessful that it was, but I still remember it...)

-My first conversation with Dragon Warrior over YIM.

-My first PM to Solo

-Becoming a Junior Member before v7 launched and I became just a 'Member'.

-My first banner request (it was fulfilled by Shizuko. I did have it stored on my computer before I had to do a complete system reboot and lost all of my files...T_T)

-My first Elk avatar! (PiroMunkie made it, and I still have it! In fact, its my profile picture right now ^_^)

-Finally reading all of Kill Adam Volume 1 (it took me about five hours or more @_@)

-Signing up for Kill Adam Volume 2, even though, I didn't get in. It was still fun to try!

-My very first banner that I posted here at OB (Sadly enough, I don't have any of my older banners from when I was just starting. That's only because I was clearing out my computer because I wanted more space...I also cleared a lot of my old banners off of my Image Host so they're not there either, but, I still remember my old banners anyway.)

-Creating .hack//TRUTH

-Meeting Wave_of_Death and helping her out with her very first RPG, .hack//REASON

-Joining 'Tomboys of the OB' (I believe I was the Skateboarder Punk or something ike that)

-Joining the 'Obscenely Cool People' (I was #017)
-Joining the 'Strange OBers'

-Being the [strike]only[/strike] first member of the '"Eh...let's make another random club just for the heck of it; and because it's cool" Club'

-Worshipping, I mean, admiring Syk3's Snatch banner (I swear I don't have it saved on my computer! oO)

I have a lot more memorable moments that are memorable to me, but, I can't seem to think of them right now, heh.

I think my fondest memories of OB are in good threads like Most Overrated Game, where I had a stellar discussion with Shinmaru and James, a thread about T3 in which myself, Charles, and Vampire: Ed had a three-pointed defense of the Terminator Trilogy timeline, how Judgment Day was inevitable. The results of that thread were most excellent, and it was a great debate, as well.

Let's not forget rattling cages--I love doing that. It's just so much fun seeing particular members squirm and get flustered, heh. Kevin, in particular...what a sick, sad, little man he was/is. Now that I think about it, critiquing his "screenplay" was one of the most precious moments for me. I mean, the thing was just so bad, lol.

That's all I can think of right now.

My Memmorable moments are as follows:

1) Finding this site.... AND meeting My now best Bud ReFlux-sama
2)Joining a Fighting Tournament created by ReFlux ( Formerly known as Double B Daigo.)
3) My first Spar with Lone Bebop ( What ever happened to him Anyways?)
4) Being 'promoted' to Left Hand Lady in the Armageddon Gang.
5) Getting into arguements with People ( Intelligent ones.... It's amasing)
6) Looking over God knows how many PM's me and ReFlux have between Us....
7) I don't know I have a list of this somewhere...... ( and it's over 100)
8) Being comforted by my fellow OB'ers on the Death of my Dog Chloe
he told me we shouldn't be friends anymore because of some weird reason, like it was too much commitment to be friends. WTF? Good guy, but I can't help but feel a bit pushed away when he did that O.o
anyways, I'd say the best moment was when thebubblegumman was drawing all the staffers, he was the ******* man. Combat Carl was also the man.

Yes! Good ol' Clay Jones. Very cool guy.

We used to chat about Nintendo (and life in general) all the time. I will never forget his awesome comics on theOtaku.com.

I spoke to him a few months after he retired from theOtaku...but I haven't seen him in well over a year now. It'd be cool to see him again. I would love to see his comics make a triumphant return on theOtaku.com. ~_^

Another thing, which is what kinda kept me attatched to OB a while ago, was Raiha. I don't think she posts all that much anymore, but we have probably, 1500 PMs between us. We have talked about everything from fish to life to... geez, we've talked about heaps of stuff. And that something about OB. The community is so varied, interesting, and as a blanket rule, friendly.

For the record, tehsillycircus lasted about nine days: January 23 through January 31, 2004. (Though it actually began on the 22nd, it was late in the evening and close to being the 23rd. At least for me, on Pacific Standard Time). Let's just say that it was an ... interesting ... nine days. I still have the log file of it, if anyone wants to read it. I would've attached it, but the file -- and it's a plain text file, not HTML -- is 1.33 MB and even when zipped it's about twice the max attachment size. So yeah, just ask me on AIM some time if you want a copy.

Anyway, down to business. I joined OtakuBoards on September 6, 2001, which was about a month after version 3 started. So I've been around for a good while. Certainly long enough to witness quite a number of interesting things, heh. I'll go in chronological order, as best as I can remember, through some of the most memorable times I've experienced.

Padded Room Party!
This is what grabbed me when I first joined OB and sucked me in. Every day after school I would log in to OB and catch up with the latest posts, then join in on the mayhem myself. The sheer spaminess of that thread had to have been an OB record: 2,000 posts of totally random, insane, and incoherent "role playing." I was a bit sad when it finally got closed, but I realized it was for the best. And then when the thread was actually deleted, I must have lost at least 250 posts. (Which, funnily enough, dropped me back down to the Junior Member rank -- I was only a Junior Member, but I still had my custom avatar from being a Member).

Otaku Big Brother
Though I wasn't technically a participant in the first Otaku Big Brother, that didn't stop me from wreaking havoc and having a ton of fun during the "pre-game" time when we were waiting for all of the participants to start posting. I got carried off naked by a mob of women. ^_^;

The Indigo Movement
As far as I noticed, I was the first one, post version 2, to start consistantly using the indigo font color in every post except when using other colors in special situations such as RPGs and stuff. And I've been using it ever since. Yeah, I know, I'm a dork for mentioning this.

Mod-ified
On Valentine's Day 2002, James made me a moderator of the Nintendo forum on the newly opened OtakuBoards version 4. ( ) For a couple months before that, I had actually been trying to get a moderator position, but when the coveted PM arrived I was still somewhat surprised; I was hoping for a mod position in the Zelda forum, but I was being offered a spot in the Nintendo forum. Still though, I happily accepted, as I was also really active in the Nintendo forum. And a month or so later, what do you know? I got made a mod of the Zelda forum in addition to Nintendo.

kuja, with a lower case K
I watched the entire "kuja incident" unravel, but I didn't follow it that closely. For the most part, I was happy in my own little world that was made up of the Zelda and Nintendo forums. Rarely did I venture outside the gaming forums except for the occasional RPG and a post here or there in General Discussion (aka Otaku Lounge). Me and kuja still talk a bit over AIM occasionally, though it's kind of funny, since we never really had much contact until after he was banned.

The name's Desbreko. Drake Desbreko.
When OtakuBoards version 5 rolled around, James changed my name to its current form. (If you want to know what my former screen name was, you'll have to hunt for it. It's still on OB in a few places). Also at the start of version 5, I was made a super moderator to replace kuja as the head of the Otaku Series section, which was made up of the Final Fantasy, Pokémon, and Zelda forums. Yeah, that's right; I had banning power, and I loved it. :p

Shine Get!
Though this wasn't technically part of OtakuBoards, working on ShineGet.com, a website devoted to the GameCube game Super Mario Sunshine, with James and Tony is one of my best memories of OB-related things. Writing the site's walkthrough was a lot of fun, and I don't think I'll ever forget that late night over at a friend's house, taking screen shots to go along with the walkthrough while drinking a lot of tea. There was nothing particularly noteworthy that happened, it just tends to stick in my mind. It was a big disappointment when James had to cancel the site, but it was fun while it lasted. (Oh, and if you want to read the walkthrough that I wrote, though it's not complete, you can find it on my web site It's All About the Rupees).

The Great OtakuBoards Downtime
When OtakuBoards went down for about a month in between version 5 and version 6, I found myself wandering various OB members' boards to try and fill the gap, but for the most part, I just played more Super Mario Sunshine to pass the time that would've been spent on OB, heh. That, and working on the walkthrough for ShineGet.com.

Otaku Big Brother II
As a staff member, I was also unable to enter the second OBB contest, as I had my Otaku Series forums to take care of; only having access to the Event Arena forum would've caused some problems with that. I still had a ton of fun reading it, though. The great plushie wars were awesome, and I made the most of my couple little cameo appearances in the event.

Meeting with the AuronLuver
Again, this was technically off OtakuBoards, but it's related. Around the time of OBBII, I started talking to GinnyLyn over AIM (her old screen name was AuronLuver, heh), and since then we've become good friends. In fact, I'd say she's probably my closest friend that I know only through the internet, so my first "meeting" with Ginny is definitely a precious moment. ^_^

Final Fantastic Survivor
Hosted by Sage, FFS has become my favorite out of all the RPGs that I've participated in. (Sorry Charles; I still love Project Gamer, it just died a little too quickly). I placed second, playing as Cecil from Final Fantasy IV, while Ginny, playing as Auron from Final Fantasy X, took the title of the Final Fantastic Survivor. (Yes, the RPG did actually finish. It lasted for around five months, but it never died). The odd humor that pervaded the entire RPG is definitely my favorite thing about it. Also, I managed to slip in a Master Sword cameo, heh.

Version 7 Project
So now here we are at OtakuBoards version 7, almost three years since I first joined back in September 2001. There's more stuff I could've talked about, such as Charles' Project Gamer RPG or my DailyOtaku articles, but I think this post has gone on long enough. The occasions mentioned above are really just the things that stand out the most in my memory.

MOre memorable moments

Recently becoming Trigun11's evil twin thus being in an OB familiy :D That was pretty neat. But, if I'm Trigun11's evil twin does that make her my good twin?

Finding out that some people have very strong opinions when it comes to their movies. I'm not going to mention any names, but I still think Blair Witch was crap.

My one religious debate with Justin on AIM. It went over pretty well.

Getting PMed about my reply in 'HArd To tell' These were good PMs .

Finding that sarcasm doesn't carry well over a message board because the words don't look sarcastic.

There are af ew more memories for me.

This isn't particularly memorable, but CHW's post made me think of it...

The number of times people have tried to lynch wrist cutter for his stunningly inappropriate wit and sarcasm. I don't know why people get so uppity...I mean, the man is a genius, and anyone can appreciate that. He pulls it off with flair and subtelty, but when they cotton on, they still go berko at him. Ladies and Gents, give him a break. Or better yet, keep harassing him. He probably loves it!

I've only been here for a year... so yeah... I haven't seen all the really good stuff. I saw some Random Comics, and I checked out a few old threads, but back then I was so n00b I almost got my *** banned in every post >.< (Please... don't remind me...). I only have a few things I remember on OB:

The RPG known as "Space Mission (lol)". Yes that was a horrible RPG, but only in grammer and spelling terms. The story went a little out of control, but in that thread I met my two every best friends: Dayday and Kesaki_Inedia... who had returned once, played The Dragon King RPG then... was gone ;_;. You guys are great friends, man I miss the good ol' RPG days... where I was indeed the n00b...

The Tribe, my first RPG that went pretty well... but let me also say I was still n00b in that too. It was okay, but its second version didn't go so well. I made some friends there too, some great friends. I kinda miss my old newbie RPG's, too bad I won't be able to pull one of those off again... lol.

"Basic Role play, Medieval characters only, have fun..." something along those lines anyway. Yes... Dmitri Dragoon, DuoMax, Orien_Xel, Eclectic, and that stupid Num_Tee fool, I haunt you all! This... was the best RPG, even thought I made myself look like a complete idiot about 50 times in one post. Great times... again... but still... I was such an idiot... we posted too fast sometimes and ended up deleting a load of post, I remember that... and I messed up at the very start, too >.<

The OB Prom. Great RPG too. I went with DuoMax... and I did bad there too, damn straight I sucked at RPGing! But that was a good thread...

Noticed how everything above took place in the Adventure Arena? If there was a huge war throughout the Otaku Lounge, I'm most likely to miss it because I'm too busy in the Adventure Arena... good times, I guess... I've been here for awhile now, and I'm still making huge mistakes and making myself look like an idiot... ^_^;; noticed I don't have a lot of friends around? Lol.

But ever since I became an Otaku (1000+ post), which was on v6, I've been wondering... how the heck did I manage to stay on OB? James would have banned me in a snap I was so bad a posting, and I think I kinda pi**ed some people off aswell... so how did I survive? I have no idea... but atleast I got another chance, hang, 50 other chances! That's what I'm grateful for... OB's a big part of my life now, and the best moment for me was joining, even if I mess up in almost every post.

Anyway, I don't find his approach very subtle at all. Usually, the comments are very straightforward. The rebuttals usually come from people who are desperate to look both righteous and politically correct. Usually, I think it is those replies that are more memorable than his remarks simply because of how silly and overblown they are. They're what create the spectacle, if you know what I mean.

Perhaps inappriopriate was the wrong word. Or too strong a word. What I meant was, taken at face value and as they are, often wrist cutter's comments are very... sharp. Not always, but often. The thing is, it is also plainly obvious, just by how controversial they are, that he is being sarcastic. The 'un-gay' comment is a perfect one. If you took it at face value, it would be shocking. But, obviously he isn't being serious. He is being sarcastic, and poking fun. Put simply, you could say that his comments are 'stunningly inappropriate', and they make for excellent reading.

*murmers* So many, many memories of OB.

I don't recall appreciating much when I first came onto OB. I was younger, and [strike]insufferable [/strike] [strike]very arrogant[/strike] arrogant. My first topic, I think, was entitled "Bring it On." It was in the Digimon forum, and it was a challenge to everyone to test my digimon knowledge. I was unshakeable in my supreme knowledge of all things Digimon-related.

Ginny and a certain cynic were more than happy to bring me down to earth. Disproving my opinion that I alone was the supreme knowledgeable being of the Digimon forum, they quickly became my close friends. Beyond them, I remember befriending nintendo_era and Digimon Creator (Maker?). More friends followed, as did more threads and I eventually branched out of the Digimon forum.

My first RPG. Heh. It was a Digimon one, naturally. I believe that Renee started it, and it had been going for some time before I came into it. Things were much more informal back then and I leapt right into the story. I was a kid with a Puppetmon, and I'd randomly show up saying something like "If you ever need help, just call." Naturally, nobody called. So I wound up showing up in the midst of things and saying: "You didn't call." It was an interesting time. I think it was either deleted or lost in a version change. I don't believe it just died.

The Digistory.
This was perhaps the single most influential series of threads in my entire history here at OB. It was the first one I actually signed up for, I think, and the one I followed closest to its end. It was incredible. Sara, Ginny, ZeroSama, Kitell (went by some other name formerly), and later on KariKamiya. Zero and I would constantly get into arguments over the direction the RPG would take. He would post something, and it would usually be ignored because of its stubborn senselessness. It sort of fell apart after the first few chapters were deleted; wiped away by a version change.

Gee, I suddenly feel nostalgic.
