---------------------------------------------

Nyx tossed a stone in the air. He reclined position on an old oak tree didn't exactly help her in the process of catching it. The stone fell to the ground, making a soft rustling noise against the lush green grass.
She slapped a mosquito trying to take a bite from her.
A sigh escaped from her body as Nyx looked up at the sky. She could see bits and pieces of it through the bright leaves overhead. She became lost in the color, and more so, in the peacefulness of the moment.
Someone's humming brought her back to reality. Nyx swiftly stood up, her swords thumping against her body in the movement. There below her was a girl, but by the way she was draped in black, you could've easily mistook her for a shadow. Well, she was one, in a sense, but...
"Alatariel! What's up?" Nyx called out. The shadow seemed to move, and bright violet pupils suddenly appeared, sending chills up the girl's spine.
"Oh...Nyx. Hello. I was looking for you...I guess."
"You...guess?"
"Well, yeah. I just decided to go to the woods, and on my way I decided to look for you."
"Oh, so you didn't intend to look for me in the first place, huh?"
"...Will you just shut up and come down?"
Nyx grinned and lept from the branch. Her midnight-black hair streaked in the moon's color flowed behind her, her bangs whipping her forehead.
"WOAH! ALATARIEL!!!"
"Huh? WAH!"
Nyx fell right to the ground, through her Shadow friend, with a loud thump.
"...There's a good reason...why people...are...solid..."
"Heh, sorry." Alatariel offered Nyx a hand, which passed right through. "Oh yeah, well...you sometimes forget."
Nyx muttered something and heaved herself off the ground. "Yeah, right." She then shifted her legs to that of a fighting position.
"What? What is it?" Alatariel asked. Nyx had told her that her violet pupils were creepy, but what about her's? They were a golden yellow, and her pupils seemed almost slashed into it.
"There's...something. Something coming." A brass horn blasted, affirming Nyx's suspicion. There was the sound of hooves beating against the ground, and in an instant, Alatariel had melted into the shadows while Nyx lept back onto the tree.
"...King Damien, sir..."
"...Yes, those are your orders..."
"...Those other creatures are causing more trouble again..."
It was the King and his squad. Nyx gritted her teeth while Alatariel fought back the urge to trip one of the walking soldiers.
Within moments, the squad was gone. They're presence was still there: blooming flowers had been trampeld, the grass was flattened, and Nyx had unsheathed one of her swords.
"Mark my words, Damien," she growled at the squad, "Someday, I'll kill you. Someday, we'll be victorious."

OCC: finally!

IC: Vivek mitx dipped her hand lightly into a small jar of grease. She capped the jar, and rubbed her hands togeather, getting grease all over them. She ran her fingers through her almost white hair, the grease shining and making her hair spike. She took out a small, broken peice of a mirror out of a pocket in her coat, to examen her face. Vivek had a pale complextion, and her hair was greased and spiked. She had taken a swim in a small lake nearby and had just finished drying herself off, thus, she had no makeup on.
The wind whipped against her, making a chill crawl up her spine. Vivek looked around the small clearing in the woods that she had stayed for a few nights. Her deep black trench coat was wraped up in a ball with her belts and wepons layed over it. That was all she owned, includeing the few precious items she had in the pockets of the coat.
She grabbed the belt with her twin blades on it and attatched it to her waist. She picked up her belt with her two guns attatched to it and equipted that next. Finally, she took her final belt with her twin daggers and attatched it.
Vivek picked up her trench coat and put her hair grease and mirror into the aproprite pockets. She slung her coat over her shoulder and began to walk off. She had on a skin tight, sleeveless muscle shirt that showed all the curves in her abbs and chest and shoulders. She began to walk off.
After only a few minutes, her sensitive ears picked up voices. Her eyes darted to see two people, far to her left, talking quietly amongst themselves. Vivek shook her head and continued to walk.

"Goodbye Mr. Grimm!!!" Little voices of children were heared from the distance, waving their little hands in goodbye. "Come back and play with us again ok!!!"

"Don't worry, I will" the walking suit of armor replied back, also waving his arms with the crisp sound of metal to metal contact is heard. "Go home now and sleep early. Or else I will not play with you tomorrow!

"Don't worry! We will!!" And the children raced back to the comfort of their homes.

Walking in the forest path alone, under the bright light of the moon, "Grimface" as he is called suddenly heard footsteps of human and horses from a distance.

Even he doesn't want to, he hid himself in the tall trees along the path where the footsteps are going.

*Laughter* "If I see a creature right now, I will tear it's head off right now so that I can get a promotion!". A rough voice said followed by another bunch of laughters.

"Now, it's like we have the right to do anything we want! We can kill anyone and just tell that the person we killed is a creature of the night. Or we can terrorize people and threaten them that we will not protect them if they will not give us some pay or something. I can't wait to try that!" a small but terrible voice said.

"Hey!" another soldier said. "Why don't we start over there!" *soldier pointing to the town where Grimface have been* "There's a town there!"

Hearing that, Grimface's eyes turned red like it is burning. "No, not the innocent townsmen!"

"Okay, men! Let's go to that town and implement the orders by King Damien. Remember, no mercy for those creatures!"

"Goodbye Mr. Grimm!!!"*hands waving goodbye "Come back and play with us again ok!!!". These scenes flashed back into Grimface mind, imagining those children will just end up in the hands of those greedy footmen.

And the horses whined, the wheels of their chariots started to roll and the soldiers started marching to "fullfill their mission".

"I will not let you do that. *gripping his sword tightly* Death in hell is not appropriate enough for your dark souls." Grimface whispered. "And also Damien, I promise you, I WILL and I really WILL crush your head in my hands *staring at his hands* after I crush those of your greedy and corrupt men.

Upon saying this, Grimface started walking back to the town where the soldiers is going.

Alatariel watched quietly from the shadows as the soldiers passed, and heard Nyx mutter something about killing the King. Then she slid out of the shadows as smoothly as she had slid in.

She quietly walked over to Nyx, not making a noise as her feet just passed through the dead leaves and branches on the ground of the forest.

"Hey..." She said, right behind Nyx, making her jump.
"Don't do that!" she said, annoyed slightly. "If I could...I would strangle you at the moment for doing that all the time." she said, and made a move as if to strangle Alatariel, but her hands passed right through the shadow-walker.

Alatariel smiled slightly, her Violet-pupiled black eyes sparkling. "Do you think anyone else will be joining us any time soon? I mean...we sent that letter as if we had an army...and so far..." she looked around the clearing they were in, "It is just the two of us."

Nyx nodded, and also cast a glance around with her burnished yellow eyes. "I believe we do have some followers...but when they will come...I truthfully don't know. Until then, I think we should stay in the area, and stay out of sight." she scanned Alatariel up and down. "Though with you...it wouldn't matter...unless you choose to become solid for awhile."
Alatariel shrugged slightly, and then stuck her thumbs behind her belt.
"I guess I could just stay to the shadows and watch." She said.
Nyx nodded.

Alatariel moved off to the shadows again, wondering to herself whether or not it would be a good idea to become solid... she finally decided against it, as she didnt' really know what the people who were coming were like. She moved into the shadows just a little from Nyx, and said from among them. "I am in the shadows to the right under the large oak tree if you need me." and then dissappeared in them

“OW!” Vinny said as she bolted upright. Rubbing her eyes she looked at Monica, the Head Servant, with resentment. “Couldn’t you think of another, less painful, way of waking us up?”
“I wake everyone up with hot coals and you’re the only one who seems to be bothered about it. No one else complains.” She said, putting the flaming embers back into the fireplace. Vinny turned so the upper part of her arm was facing Monica. It had so many rings of scars from the coals, practically that whole area was scarred.
“Would you like this lovely design on your arm? I’ll do it for free!” Vinny said sarcastically. The truth was that it didn’t really hurt, she just liked to get under Monica’s skin. Monica ignored Vinny’s arm. Especially the fresh burn mark on it.
“No, I would not! And if you have any problem with it, you can tell that to the master! Hmph!” Monica said as she stomped out of the room.

Vinny looked around. Everyone else was already awake and getting dressed. Vinny looked outside. It was still dark. Couldn’t they wake us up after the sun rises? Or at least when there’s a little sunlight peeking through that window. Vinny thought. But she knew that, if that were the case, their whole schedule would be thrown off. So the fifty-seven-year-old (remember, that’s young for an elf. She looks 14) dragged herself out of bed and started changing from her nightdress into her day clothes (she doesn’t where her cloak unless it’s cold or they’re going somewhere and it’s not cold this day).

“You know, Vinny, one day we’re going to get her, don’t you worry.” Vinny’s friend Rikii said as an attempt to encourage her friend.
“Yeah.” Was all Vinny could think of to say.

She finished getting dressed and combed her hair and washed her hands before going into the Servant’s room. It was nothing special; a few old wooden chairs were about all the furnishing in the room. By the time Vinny got there, all the chairs were taken, so she took a seat on the dirt floor, her friend next to her. Monica stood in front of the group and began to call out the assignments.

“Ok, Group One, raise your hands.” A cluster of drowsy people put their hands in the air, arms bent and limping. “Ok, you’re on house call. Clean and dust everything from top to bottom. Group two?” Vinny and Rikii raised their hands along with the several other sleepy people around them. “You’re on meal duty.” Vinny’s hopes skyrocketed. This would be the first job Monica had given her that wasn’t disgusting. Monica then brought her cheer to a halt. “You will feed the animals; pigs and horses. And after that you can clean their stables and pens. Group three?” The rest just kind of faded out to Vinny as her hopes were squashed just like that. The next thing she knew, she was mashing garbage in a bucket next to her friend.

“This stinks.” Rikii said.
“Tell me about it. Monica hasn’t done one nice thing for me… EVER.” Vinny replied.
“No, I mean literally, this stinks. In case you haven’t noticed, we’re mashing garbage.”
“Oh… yeah.” Vinny said and she walked her bucket over to the pig’s food tub and poured the slop in.

All the pigs immediately ran over and started eating, spraying a few flecks of garbage on Vinny’s cheeks which she wiped off hastily. She then picked up a shovel and her empty bucket and started scooping the poo in the pen into the bucket. Flies buzzed around her head with their annoying hum and the smell was almost un-bearable.

“Vinny!” Monica called. “Master Talbot is ready for you.” Vinny dropped her shovel and ran inside. She walked into the dining room and stood against the wall that was behind Henry Talbot’s chair. He seemed to be enjoying his food as the sweet smell of bacon wafted over to Vinny’s nose, reminding her of how hungry she was. She had just remembered that she had forgotten to get her bread that morning. Vinny was swooning with the smell of the juicy piece of meat when Master Talbot snapped her back to attention with a yell.

“Where is my salt? How in GOD’s name do you expect me to eat this egg without my salt?” He yelled, turning slightly to look at Vinny. He was in a particularly bad mood this morning because he received word that the other races had already begun advancing on Lord Damien VIII and he wanted to launch the first attack. Vinny hurried to the kitchen and brought a spare saltshaker and placed it in front of Henry. He picked it up and shook it a little over his egg. Nothing came out. “Its empty, you idiot!”

Vinny quickly went back and re-filled it. She placed it in front of Henry and retreated to the wall. He returned to his breakfast. He asked for various things throughout his breakfast as he usually did. When he was done, he had Vinny fetch his coat and follow him out the door. She helped him mount his horse and walked along beside the horse as they made their way down the dirt path leading away from the castle. Vinny had to jog a few times to keep up with the horse, but after a while they came upon an army so big, It stretched for at least a mile on the path (remember, though, it’s a small path, so it’s not as much as you may think). Henry and Vinny made their way through the army and lead them towards King Damien’s castle. It was, however, an awfully, awfully, awfully long way. As they were walking, Vinny passes the time by thinking back to her child hood. Her family had served the Talbots for generations. She had been Henry’s servant since he was born…

*Flashbacks*

*Flashback-31 years and three months back*

Nine-month-old Henry was in a playpen across from a twenty-five-year-old Vinny (she looks 5).

“Now, Vinny. Be nice and give him whatever he wants, ok?” Her mom said.
“You tell me that every time! You know I will!” The young Henry threw a rattle at Vinny’s head and giggled when it collided.

*Flashback-21 years back*

“Vinny! Vinny!” An eleven-year-old Henry shouted. Vinny came hurriedly into the room.
“What is it, master Henry?”
“Could you get me some warm milk and a blanket? I’m cold.” With that Vinny left the room, hiding her exasperation.

*Flashback-30 years back*

“Come on, Vinny, is that all you’ve got?” Henry asked, landing a few feet away from Vinny in his weapon’s room where he and Vinny always sparred.

Henry launched an attack. Vinny stayed on the defensive as to not make Henry mad by accidentally cutting him or something. He did improve, however, because she put up her toughest defense and he would have to breach it. He did and his blade came across Vinny’s right cheek, knocking her to the ground. She reached up and touched her cheek then brought her hand down to see blood on the tips of her fingers drizzling down to her palm.

*End Flashbacks*

The cut healed in a few days and left a scar. However, the scar went away in little over a year. Vinny thought, recalling the incident. She walked on, every now and then glancing back at the army.

Vivek licked her lips and looked around. She was sitting on a treebranch, watching a child , 40 feet below. The girl looked up. Vivek slid back a bit and hid in the leaves. She watched at the girl began to look around at ground level again. Vivek was being carefull to make sure she was silent. She grinned. 'Nyx' the other girl had called her. She didn't know where the other girl had gone.
She had it all planned out, she would jump down, gracefully and silently, knock the girl out and look through her pockets for wepons or food or valuables to sell.
She was just about to jump, when a bird let out a shrill yell, she slipped backwards, falling off the treebrach, hitting many on her way dont and finally landing, face first in the dirt. "What the hell?" Nyx practically yelled, looking to where she fell, doubting she would get back up. To her suprise, Vivek slowly got on her hands and knees, coughing up dirt. "Damn...that one hurt....WHY AM I SO FUCKING CRAZY?!" she yelled at herself.
Nyx drew her sword. Vivek looked up. She made a small noise, like "Huh?" and let a sideways smile escape. She stood up, quick as lighting and drew a gun, pointing it at nxy. They both stood still. "Do you think you'd have a chance?" Vivek asked. Nyx clenched her teeth and held a better fighting stance. Vivek lowered her gun and scowled sarcastically. "I'm a friend, Nyx," She said with a hint of annoyed sarcasim.
Nyx eyed her suspiciously. "How do you know my name?" she asked, still in a fighting stance. Vivek rolled her eyes. "I'm a freind, like i said. I KNOW ALL!" she said, with maniaacle laughter afterwards. Nyx looked at her like she was crazy. "Wait....." Nyx said, slightly lowering her guard, "Are you here to fight with us?" Vivek looked around, no clue what she was talking about. "Yeah....sure! We'll go with that." she said with a smile that almost showed how much of a nut she was.
"Alatariel!" Nyx yelled. The shadow walker apeared. "Someone to fight with us has showed up." Nyx said, almost cheerfully, re-sheathing her sword. Vivek looked at Alatariel, her bad mood suddenly rushing to her at the sight of her.

"By the end of the morrow we shall be at the battle, oh joy." Henry thought to himself. "If it wasnt for those idiot humans coming along and ruining our siege King Damien's kingdom we would have won this petty disbute."

For the most part of that days journey he sat there brooding to himself. Then dusk came and they sat up camp for the night. Henry sat by the fire looking straight into it. As if he was searching for the soul of the flame.

It was a short while later he viewed his loyal vasil Vinny sitting by herself under a near by tree. He was getting curious to why she was just sitting there. He shrugged as one of his servants brought him his favorite dish, Stew. He happily ate it. Stew always put him in better spirits for some odd reason.

After finished his third helping of Stew he stood up and poped his neck said in a rather loud voice. "In the morrow we head into battle, make sure you rest well tonight and enjoy it while you can. We shall not rest until we arrive to our destination."

And with that he went into his tent and went to sleep.

Vivek smiled as the sun slowly san behind the trees. Nyx was already asleep. They had sorted everything out. She knew that these girls would only have petty possestions that wouldn't sell for much. She stood up and silently walked away.
After quite a while she began to get horribly cold. She pulled her coat tighter to her and crossed her arms. Suddenly she saw lights in the distance. Probably a camp. She decided no one would notice her so she'd go straight through. As she walked to the edge of the camp, she saw only two soilders awake. "Idiots," she whispered. Vivek just walked right past them. They eyed her but didn't move. she crossed the camp and went right back into the woods.
She turned around on her heel and looked at the nearest tent. I wonder.... she thought to herself maybe one of these fools will have some ritches.... She snuck up behind the tent and looked around. The two soilders were gone. She smirked and peered inside the tent. She backed up when she noticed that the owner of the tent wasn't asleep. She decided it wasn't worth ghaving to kill this guy so she disapeared into the darkness.

Nyx opened her eyes. An owl hooted softly. She gazed upwards at the moon.
Good, she thought to herself. It's still the full. At least it won't happen for half a month... She unconsciously fingered the orb at her neck. It brought a cool, peaceful sense to her body, something she hadn't felt naturally in a long time.
"Nyx," Alatariel's voice said. Nyx turned to gaze in the direction of her friend.
"Yeah? What?"
"Vivek's gone."
"Obviously."
"I would slap you if I could."
"Then become solid and do."
"I don't wanna."
"So you really don't wanna slap me?"
"How about you shut up and listen to what I have to say?"
Nyx grinned, but it suddenly faded. She always tried to be nice to Alatariel, her first real friend...and only friend.
Vivek's footsteps could be heard thumping through the grass. Nyx and Alatariel quickly made it so that they looked asleep.
"They probably don't have anything on them...Still, it's worth a try."
The next thing Nyx knew, a hand had slipped it's way into one of her pocket. It glided its hand around, making it feel like nothing but coins were in her pockets.
"Meh. She has nothing good in here...Hey...what's this?" Vivek's voice seemed to be closer to Nyx's head. "Nice necklace...don't mind if I-"
"Don't even think about it." Within an instant, Nyx had shot her hand onto Vivek's outstretched wrist. She shot open her eyes. "Yeah, it's a nice necklace, but it's mine. It would serve no real use to you. And trust me, even if you had gotten it off, you'd be dead by now." She stood up. "If you want anything, ask first. You can't touch her, so you can't take anything from the Shadows. If you'll excuse me, I'll be up in the tree." With that, Nyx lept into the giant oak tree and shifted into her eariler position. "G'night!"

Alatariel watched with some amusement as Nyx told Vivek off, and then she herself stood up, not caring whether Vivek noticed or not. She looked up at the sky, and the stars, and sighed, then placed her hands in her pockets and started walking. She could easily just stay to the shadows...but she didn't feel like it at the moment. She walked in the moonlight, feeling it affect her like it always did, making her feel thinner in substance...but at the moment, she didn't care.

She kept her eyes on her feet as she walked, and yawned only once, becoming fully awake as the moon rose fully.

For awhile she just watched the moon, wanting to feel its rays on her skin...then she grabbed the necklace that was around her neck and unlatched it.
She held it in her hands for a few seconds, staring at it, wondering slowly whether she should become solid just on the urge to feel the moon...
Then she closed her hand around it, and started chanting quietly. She was nervous at having to close her eyes to complete this spell, because it made her very vulnerable, at the point between shadow and solid, but she closed her eyes and stood there, chanting under her breath as her form flickered between staying as a shadow, and becoming a figure of solid substance.

Kahvi stood in the shadows, her eyes peering into the darkness. Her eyes were half closed, and the slight breeze ruffled her long, silky hair. ?And thus it was? the day became night, and the light ebbed into nothing. The brink of the Dark Wars is here.?

Silky smooth, long fluid lips curled up in a rich and lovely smile. The slight tips of her teeth showed, gleaming in the half-light beneath the tree. Kahvi looked up, eyes still half closed ? or was it half open? ? and gazed at the shifting form.

Her one true friend, Zahntee, smiled. ?Quite the poetic mind tonight, aren?t we?? Kahvi chuckled, a deep passionate sound. ?You could call it that, yes.? Zahntee looked out over the field, as did Kahvi, that the forest bordered.

?Zahn, what do you think will happen?? He didn?t answer, but she hadn?t expected him to.

With her hand along the tree trunks, Kahvi walked along the forest?s edge. Until she came to someone. Stepping out of the shadows,s he said, ?Zhai?helleva[wind beneath your wings], my friend.?

The shadow-child ? now solid ? started, and whirled. ?How many godforsaken times have I told you not to sneak up on me, Kahvi?? Kahvi chuckled.

OOC: I did not know it was started. Sorry for the delay!

Vivek looked up into the tree and scowled. Then she yelled, "If I want anything I'll just take it, thank you verry much! I don't supposed you'd give me that nice necklace if I just asked for it, now would you?" Nyx was silent. Vivek spit on the ground and walked off, back to that camp she had found earlier. Maybe they'd have something for her to take.
Of course, they didn't. She wen't through almost every tent and none of them had any valuables. They were all soilders. She finnally gave up and climbed up into a tree abouve one of the tents. The branches were wide and easy for her to climb. but it didn't provide much protection from sight. She was in almost plain veiw. It didn't matter. She got into a safe position and went to sleep.

OOC: ::mutters:: She isn't a child ya know...she may appear 17...but she aint no child...::mutters and goes IC::
Alatariel sighed at Kahvi's chuckle, and then crossed her arms across her chset.
"It really does bother me when someone sneaks up on me when I am making the change to solid. It is my most vulnerable time, and as I have asked, I would appreciate if you didn't do that." She said, and then laughed despite the stern voice she had used.
Kahvi smiled and shrugged. "I suppose it is just fun...watching you jump." she chuckled again to herself.
Alatariel shrugged and finished becoming completely solid, before latching the black necklace onto her neck again. Her heart was still thumping loudly at being snuck up upon, but she wouldn't let Kahvi see that. She breathed in deeply and then exhaled, and felt the chill wind upon her skin, and relished in the light from the moon that warmed her.
Then she returned her attention to Kahvi.
"What are you doing here anyways? Most people sleep at this time..." then she thought of herself and gave a guilty grin, unconsciously rubbing her bandaged left arm with her gloved right one before dropping both to her sides.

The vampiresss looked down at her long, glove-covered hands, and absently turned the rings. She started humming a sad tune, and it carried.

Nyx slowly drifted off to sleep. Her mind was still on the thief - Vivek - as she had introduced herself as. A grin slowly crept up her fae as she heard Alatariel and an unkown voice talk and laugh about something.
This made her bolt upright. "An unknown voice...oh, that isn't suspicious at all, isn't it?" she muttered to herself before vaulting off of the tree branch. One thing was different, and that was the fact that she couldn't see through her friend anymore.
"Hey! You're solid!" Nyx attempted to put her hand on Alatariel's shoulder, expecting it to sink right through. However, it hit solid flesh, even if that flesh was a little chilly.
"Blech, shadow creatures are kinda cold..."
"No. I'm just not used to being solid. It just hasn't warmed up yet."
Nyx rolled her eyes. "I'm sure, Alatariel. By the way, who is this?" She pointed at Kahvi, cocking an eyebrow at the girl's fangs. (Girl's as in female...you know...)
"Kahvi. ...Vampie." She was about to say the half part, but decided against it. "And you are...?"
"Nyx. Weretiger." She stuck out a hand, which Kahvi took and shook. (Hey, that rhymes! *gets hit by Aiyanna* Okay, back to post...) Bleh...kinda chilly...Vampires are night creautres though, so what should I expect? Oh well, they are kinda cool...
Alatariel nudged Nyx. "If you hadn't noticed, that thief - er, Vivek - left us again."
"Don't blame her. Not like we have anything worth stealing."
"That's not the point!" Alatariel shouted, taking this opportunity to finally hit Nyx. "We need her! She's useful!"
"Ow! Sheesh. Okay, okay, whatever! Let's just wait until the morning. Then we'll look for her."
Kahvi looked on as the two kept bickering, a look of bewilderment being written to her face. "You two wouldn't be related by any chance, would you?" she finally asked, pointing at them.
"No..."

It's already past midnight when the soldiers got in the town where Grimface has been. All the townspeople are sleeping soundly inside their homes when one of the soldiers blew his horn that woke almost the whole town.

"We are here by orders of King Damien to search this place and also interrogate some of you for information of creatures that have passed this town. Anyone who does not cooperate will be punished and shall be treaten as a traitor. We expect your full cooperation." , the captain of the soldeirs shouted.

"We are just ordinary townsmen here. Even all of us are afraid of those so called creatures so we don't know anything about it.", the town chief said to the captain.

"We will still implement the order. And also by the way you talk, it looks like that this town have hidden something behind their backs. Alright men! *drawing his sword*. Search this whole place. If any evidence is found *pointing his sword to the town chief* you shall all be punished!"

Following the captain's order, every soldier raced to different houses and roughly raided it not for evidence but for it's precious belongings. Some of the villagers tried to stop the soldiers when they recognized that they are just stealing their valuables and supplies but they are helpless. Some of the people who tried to stop the soldiers are killed or attacked by the greedy footmen of King Damien.

"You can search all day if you want. You will not find a single piece of evidence in us because we are innocent. And also, you said that you will just search for evidence. But it looks like you and your soldiers are just robbing our homes. Is that also an order of King Damien to all of you. Well I don't think so.", a man shouted bravely.

"I don't care." the captain yelled back. "My men can pick anything they want as long that they see it as evidence. And as for the supplies, let's say that it's your'e donations to us soldiers that protect you in the danger of those night creatures. So I see nothing bad about it."

But some of the soldiers carry "planted" evidences so that they can still punish the townspeople eventhough no evidences is found. Suddenly, a soldier ran at the captain showing a piece of cloth that looks like a shirt with is stained with blood.

"The blood here is still warm. The creature should have passed here not a while ago. And also the marking on the shirt shows of that is ripped off by a powerful force with sharp claws." the soldier, still lying, said to the captain.

"Oh, I see." the captain muttered. "So how can you explain this?"

"Maybe it's just a shirt of one of the villagers attacked by bears in the forest. The living of some of the men in this town is to hunt bear for it's fur and meat. I swear to God that no creature whatsoever passed this town. So please, I beg you to just leave us alone. Please leave us in peace. You can take all you want just leave us alone." the town chief begged, now down on his knees pleading to the captain.

"I'm afraid that's not acceptable." An evil grin formed at the greedy face of the captain. Then with no futher words, he slashed off the head of the town chief killing him instantly in the surprise and horror of the women and children watching.

Driven by the will to fight the corrupt soldiers, some of the town's men armed themselves with knifes, swords, spear, crossbows, anything that can be used as a weapon. But some of them perished at the hands of more skilled and more armed soldiers of King Damien.

"I guess..." the captain ascended his horse. ".... I'll just have to kill you all anyway.
"Alright men! Kill anyone on sight right NOW!" he shouted.

A woman with her child was about to be slashed to death by one of the soldiers, when a big shadowy figure suddenly appeared behind it and slashed it's head off flying to the feet of the evil captain.

"Who in the world........", the captain said still horrified to see one of his men's head in front of him.

"Death is not appropriate to all the evil things that you have done. Your souls must be tortured forever in hell!", the big shadowy figure said.

"It's Mr. Grimm!!!!!" some of the kids shoutde in joy. "Can you help us Mr. Grimm? They've already killed some of our parents, friends and relatives and maybe us too!", the children cried in despair.

"Hahahahaha! How brave of you to oppose us men of King Damien. You'll regret to play hero here since you will be dead."

"Correction!" Grimface took his helmet off exposing a skull with some torn flesh in it. "I'm already DEAD! And I swear to all the innocent you've hurted and killed, I'm gonna kill you all including your king!

"He's a creature! ALL OF YOU CHARGE AND KILL HIM NOW!

"This will be again one hell of a night for me." Grimface said unleashing his sword and shield charged at the men whose only vow is to kill him.

Kahvi's head suddenly snapped to face another direction. Her ears seemed to be twitching slightly, and her eyes appeared to be glowing.
Nyx sniffed the air, hoping she didn't look too stupid in front of her new ally. The scent of blood, greed, and terror poked her sharply in the nose.
"There's trouble!" Kahvi and Nyx shouted together at Alatariel, who stood frozen on the spot. She thought they were about to attack her.
"Where?" Alatariel asked quickly, clenching her fists. If they were going to fight, she wasn't sure how long she'd stay solid.
"Just out of the forest. About a mile or so," Nyx replied, her eyes glowing and seemingly becoming more ferocious.
Kahvi spat on the ground. "It's Damien's scum again."
Alatariel narrowed her eyes. "Really? Let's go pay them a visit, shall we?"
The vampire and weretiger nodded, and dashed off towards the village with the shadow-walker behind them.

"I'm already DEAD! And I swear to all the innocent you've hurted and killed, I'm gonna kill you all including your king!" A hard male voice proclaimed the sentence, making it echo for about five miles. The three girls heard this while only six meters away from the village.
Nyx gripped the swinging orb tightly. "I'm...gonna have some...fun," she said in-between breaths. Alatariel nodded, but Kahvi kept silent, having no idea what the girl was talking about.
There was a blinding haze of cerulean light as Nyx gripped the necklace tighter. Her breaths became longer and more stressed as her body morphed into its alter form.
"Nyx, as a Weretiger..." Alatariel explained to Kahvi through the haze, "...can change into a tiger whenever she pleases."
Kahvi raised her eyebrows in understanding. "Ah-ha..."
The color disappeared, and out from Nyx's spot streaked a lean but muscular orange tiger. Her eyes were still the engulfing yellow, and the tiger stripe across Nyx's left eye was also there. It served as a reminder of who she really was.

His robes rippled slightly. The battle seemed to call his name. Down below the rooftop, he could see the soldiers of King Damien turn to face their new foe, weapons drawn. He had been there the whole time, standing atop a village home near the outside of the village, to avoid immediate notice. Were it not for the cover of darkness, he might have been spotted immediately and set upon by the King's retinue. Not like it would have mattered. One way or another, they would die. Was it right? Was it just?

Sevotharte could feel the question teasing about in his mind. Technically no, slaughter was the last way to deal with a problem. However, Damien's men had already wetted their hands and drowned their souls in the blood of innocent men, women and children. Thus, the answer seemed obviously to be 'yes.' If sin was to be judged an eye for an eye, the men would've been dead a long time ago. But Sevotharte quickly came to learn that the world did not work that way. That was why he existed. To deal out judgement on the sinners of the world.

Either way, all Sevotharte had really been waiting for was a distraction. Taking a step forwards, the fallen angel leapt of the top of the village hut. Rotating in midair, he unsheathed Sleipnir in one fluid motion, cleaving a soldier below him in two. Landing feet-first on the ground, Sevotharte delivered a rising slash to a nearby armsman, sending him crashing to the ground. He knew that there were others fighting, but he had to concentrate on himself. To be hasty is to be dead. With vengeance as his weapon, Sevotharte launched himself into the battle.

Kahvi watched the sleek for of the Were-child as her now-tiger tail twitched in agitation. ?Calm, my friend.? Kahvi laughed harshly, and took off her jacket. Her pale skin reflected in the moonlight, well toned, and firm muscles rippling as she moved.

The half-vampire grinned, feline-like fangs glistening. ?Need some help?? She asked the children. They looked terrified of her, but she smiled soothingly. Unwrapping the chain from her body, she wrapped one end around her wrist firmly, and took the rest in her other hand.

Kahvi started swinging it, and glanced sideways at her new-found allies. Then she looked back at the soldiers. ?Shall we dance?? The chain was now a deadly blurr, and Zahntee was at her side. His knives in hand, he smiled. ?Oh, we shall??

Alatariel stood at the edge of the raging battle, her black eyes darting as she watched each opponent against a soldier. There wasn't just Nyx and Kahvi and her friend. There was the Grim, and another of what the humans would consider a creature...she couldn't exactly place what he was...He was in all white and had a silver sword...but that was about all she could tell while he was fighting. Her thoughts raced along with the battle, and she was almost pulsing to join in...she was solid now...and she wasn't a bad fighter.

She suddenly smiled, her violet pupiled black eyes sparkling with entertainment, and taking a running leap, she jumped into the fight, drawing her dagger in one hand, the blade of which was jet black, while drawing up shadows with the other. She had heard Kahvi murmur about dancing, and she grinned to herself as she joined in the steps of the fight, swinging her dagger and launching shadows at soldiers. Her blood raced through her, and she was exhilarated to finally do something while solid. She could feel the moon on her and her senses were sharp to all movement around her. She gracefully danced the steps of the battle. Lives of soldiers ended by her black blade, and she would move gracefully on.
The shadows in her other hand had now started to work on their own, attacking soldiers at random, suffocating them out of being. She only felt a little pity for these humans who would so willingly hurt innocents.
At one point she fought alongside Nyx, and then moved on, coming around near the white-clad figure, passing him and giving him a brief smile, gone in seconds to the next soldiers. She was having a blast doing this, and then, just as suddenly as it had started, it ended.
Nearly all the soldiers that had been there were now on the ground, dead or wounded to bad to move, moaning to themselves. The others had fled. She looked around, her eyes gleaming in the moonlight at the destruction the 5 of them had done. The village people were standing all in a group, their eyes wide and fearful. She bent down to a fallen soldier and wiped blood off her dagger before resheathing it at her side and letting go of the shadows she held. They had started to form into a shadowblade, something that she did not want to happen. She looked over to the sleek form of nyx, surrounded by soldiers that were dead by gashes across their chests, or throats ripped out...her claws had blood on them and so did her face, and she didn't seem to mind at all.
She switched her attention over to the white-clad man after looking around at Kahvi and Zahntee, and she wondered just who he was.

Sevotharte lowered his sword slowly. Around him, the ground was littered with the corpses of Damien's soldiers. Surprisingly enough, the white blade of Sevotharte's sword was not stained with blood. The enchantments surrounding the blade took care of that. Slowly, the White Angel knelt and recited a quick prayer.

"Father, see the souls of these unworthy washed free of sin and cleansed."

Rising from his crouch, Sevotharte looked down at the bodies for a moment, then let his gaze drift skyward.

"May you find peace at last."

The wind picked up slightly, causing Sevotharte's cloak to writhe about him. It was a clear, cold wind, and it swept over the battlefield like some great bird from a faraway land. As it washed over the living, they felt somewhat revitalized, and each loosened their grasps on the ferocious bloodlust that the battle had placed upon them. Sevotharte's eyes shifted over each of the 'creatures' who had fought as well, his icy gaze eventually coming to rest on the shadow-creature. He had seen her in the midst of the battle; something about her tugged at his memory. Perhaps it was her black wings, the mark of a true fallen angel. Technically they were the same, but Sevotharte had been born on earth, having never known a life in Heaven...

He walked towards her slowly, stopping a few feet away. Sheathing Sleipnir, Sevotharte looked the shadow-creature over several times. A twinge in his stomach caused Sevotharte to grimace slightly, as a familiar feeling rose in him. Pushing it aside as best he could, he spoke.

"Who are you....?" Sevotharte asked in his deep, windlike hiss.

Alatariel blinked at him slightly. She could swear his voice reminded her of something from her past...She frowned, and then shrugged it off. She did not like to remember her past, and had forced most of it away. But gazing at him, he still tugged at her mind. Light, why did he look familiar? SHe hadn't realized it until she looked closer at him. She couldn't know him, she only knew a select few men, and otherwise avoided them as she could. She fingered the blade at her side, wondering if maybe he was an enemy she had fought, and then she dismissed the thought.
She opened her mouth and said in her voice that sounded like a quiet breeze through shaded leaves, "I am Alatariel Aran, My Sir. May I ask the same of you?" She gave a slight bow of her head. She had not meant for to sound cold...but she knew she had. She was Ver hesitant about who she assosiated with now. She shifted her feet slightly, as if to make sure she would be ready for an attack from this man. You could never be too sure...

{}OOC{}-Jeez..I just couldn't seem to figure out what to write...sorry it is so short...and a bit boring...I do hope this thing picks up...

The strange white creature before Alatariel didn't move, and his gaze never wavered. In his head, Sevotharte searched through the names of those he had encountered or heard of in the past...but it was in vain. The name never appeared. But then why did this young woman seem so familiar? What was going on? Sevotharte mentally shook himself awake. Oh, she had asked him a question. His name. Well, that made sense, considering.

Sevotharte fell to one knee and bowed, his robes falling about him like the winter rains.

"I am called the White Angel, Sevotharte, My Lady."

Looking up slightly, but not rising to his feet, Sevotharte hissed another question. "It seems we share a common enemy. What about the rest of you? From whence do you come, and what do they call you?"

Sevotharte would not rise unless Alatariel allowed him to do so. He was only being polite, of course.

Nyx narrowed her eyes slightly. Why was this man acting so...strange? He was acting like he had known Alatariel personally, like a...
"Boyfriend!" she shouted outloud. Sevotharte, Alatariel, and Khavi looked at her oddly, have no idea what she meant.
"'scuse me?" Khavi asked curiously.
"Well, Alatariel - she...she doesn't - well, I..."
"Nyx, spill it," Alatariel said, trying to keep her temper down. Sometimes, her best friend was just so stupid.
"Alright, just trying to save you some pain. Well, Alatariel doesn't like to chat about her past, dunno why, she just doesn't. Well, what if you were his girlfriend for a bit? You're not exactly a spring chicken, you know."
Alatariel sweatdropped at her friend. "You're young, Nyx. You wouldn't quite understand how it feels to have lived as long as I."
"It's not my fault your an old hag!" Nyx replied hotly.
Alatariel whacked Nyx relentlessly. "I'M NOT AN OLD HAG! I'm old in age but not in looks. Seriously, how old do I look?" She aimed the question mainly at Khavi.
"I'd say 17 or so..."
"See?" she said, turning back to Nyx. "When I'm really - forget it." Alatariel sighed and turned back to Sevotharte. "My apologies..."
"It's alright," Sevotharte replied softly, standing up. He turned to the other two girls. "If I may ask, dear ladies -"
Nyx tried her best to surpress her laughter.
"-I would like to know who you are."
"Khavi," Khavi replied smoothly, bowing her head slightly. "Vampire."
"Nyx," Nyx responded, bowing her head stiffly. "Weretiger."

OOC: Yes...I don't like being cold, but sometimes I just have to do it...I'm also trying to revive the whole "comedy" aspect of this...
Oh, and the attachment is a drawing of Nyx I made about two weeks ago, when WoD was still in Recruitment. Errr...ignore the whole "etchy skin" thingie...damn .jpg..*walks off muttering something*

BOYFRIEND!?!? Sevotharte had nearly fallen over when Nyx had blurted it out. He had lived a long time, as Alatariel had, and didn't look a year older for the wear, but still....the concept that anyone could actually love him baffled the fallen angel. Who would want to be near such...impurity? Even though he had lived a life of righteouness and honor, it didn't change the fact that he was who he was. A fallen angel. A being doomed to live out his life forever on the Earth, his prison. Not like Sevotharte had known any other life, but that was irrelevant to him. Compassion wasn't something he was shown often, least of all....love.

After the others had introduced themselves, Sevotharte nodded.

"Well met. It seems that Damien is out hunting for the blood of the non-human once more. I figured he would have learned his lesson a long time ago..." the White Angel sighed wearily. "But alas, it seems like we are needed once more. I did not stand by and idly watch as Damien kills innocents before, and I have no intention of doing so again. If you would accept my offer of help, then I will aid you."

Sevotharte walked quietly to one side and peered into the surrounding landscape, apparently listening for something. However, Sevotharte's motion put him closest to Alatariel, with his head near her shoulder. He dropped his voice as much as he could when he spoke, though even so the angel's voice carried on the wind.

"The years have been far kinder to you then they have to me, I fear," Sevotharte crooked what might have been a sad smile. "Do not mind what the other might say. You have the beauty that even those who are young in mind and body do not possess. My Lady, you are as beautiful as...." he turned slightly, averting his eyes to the ground. "...an angel."

Nyx burst into a fit of giggles. Sevotharte pulled back, his robes carressing Alatariel's shoulder and arm as they caught the breeze and swept outwards. Turning to the others, Sevotharte's face wore an expression like the midnight chill itself.

"Perhaps we should find a safer place than this to sit and plan, as Damien may send more troops to find you here..."
