Art First Banner

I tried making a banner, and I was woundering how you guys think it came out, and what I can improve on in it. i was using a software with lots of limits (MS Paint), so I obviously dont have numerous fade effects etc. I plan to just use paint, as I am too lazy to go install whatever paint shop pro I have lying around... somewhere. Anyways: Call it good, call it crap, Like it, Hate it... I dont care if you say any of them, just truthfully for whatever you say.

Well... For me, it's kind of hard to read the writing. Basically all I can see is Pawn. Maybe you could lighten it up a wee little bit? You don't have to though! Just my opinion!

Otherwise, it's really awesome! :) But don't hate me! :( I can't even make a banner, because I don't have a paint workshop. Oh well! Good luck with the banner making! :D

In fact, I can hardly read the word "Pawn", (but that's probbably because of my weird monitor. :p ) Besides that, I would say it's good for something done in MS Paint. Any other complaints I have are only because of my personal preferences, (the color, etc.) so you don't have to listen to any of those since it's not my banner. Where did you get the picture by the way?[/color]

well, as everyone already said. it's good. especially since you did it on paint. blending the pics came out nicely and the style of text is good too.
the text itself is seriously hard to make out clearly.i'd suggest choosing a lighter shade of red for the outline the banner so that's it's more noticeable and can bring out the shape more.
also your banner seems to be missing a border line at the top.(either that, or the line is really thin) again, i suggest a lighter shade of red so that the border lines are more noticable.
well, that's all i can really say. but overall good job Pawn =)

All right, I lightened up the color. With my monitor, its not hard to read the writing, but my computer might be lighter then most. The writing on the right says 'embrace the fear' if you can't read it. Anything else I should change? Btw: the new one is in my sig, not much of a change, just color, and a bigger border (I realised I had a pixel wide line of black before the red). Also I lightened the border considerably.

Edit: The image I used was from a silent hill 3 picture of a pendulum. I absolutly love the creature, and so decided to use it. Do a quick google image search of silent hill pendulum or something similar to get some more images.
