Hell. It is a concept believed by many, yet truly believed by few. Most take it metaphysically, as a concept designed to guide faith or a representation of the torment we put ourselves through in life. Some see it literally, a boiling lake of fire promising eternal torment and pain. Several people have claimed to have been there: Odysseus, Aenias, Dante, and many others. The one known to most is the immortal Dante, writer of the Inferno.

Dante was right.

There truly are nine rings of Hell, each designating a sin. There are the shades of millions, toiling eternally in pain. There are demons, there are devils, there are evils that walk the night that make men quake in fear. There is a Devil, and there is a God. There is a Heaven, and there certainly is a Hell.

The Gates of Hell are no longer sealed. The demons and spirits of the damned walk the earth again, taking the forms of the living and using the flesh to bring a Hell upon Earth.

The Lord has called out to nine warriors, and told them that it is time. Nine normal men and women, designated to fight the legions of Hades and push back the great Demon himself. They must fight the evil. They must save the world.

They must quench the Inferno.

Name: Tetsuya Kamano

Role: The Pilgrim

Age: 27

Gender: Male

Weapons: He has a specially crafted katana, and a compact handgun

Abilities: Superior to normal people physically, being twice as strong, fast, and resistant to pain as regular humans. Also, he is hyper-smart, with an IQ of 253, and has mastery over his life force (Chi).

Appearance: Tetsuya is tall and of a lean build. He has brown hair that he has let grow fairly long, mainly in the bangs, that tend to conceal his unnatural golden eyes (the irises are gold, not the entire eye). His face his sharp, yet not too sharp. He can easily be described attractive. He is scarred from fights in his past, his arms, chest, and face all marred.

He has taken to the fashions of Europe. He wears a long black coat with the sleeves removed. Beneath it he wears a simple black shirt, and a pair of black work pants that flare at the bottom. He wears heavy boots and a thick belt, as well as a narrow-brimmed hat. A silver chained necklace with the kanji for "Death" hangs from his neck.

Personality: Tetsuya is very solitary, preferring to work as alone as possible. He is sharp-tongued and has a sharp mind. He's extremely intelligent, making him a dangerous opponent. He is generally silent, and appriciates it when others are also quiet. His demenour is calm for the most part, but he can become angry quickly and when he does, he is a force to be reckoned with.

Bio: Tetsuya has led an uninteresting life. He was born into an upper-middle class Japanese family in America, instilled with traditional beliefs as well as American culture. He has always been a little better than everyone else, but didn't know why. He just shrugged it off as good breeding and went on with his life.

Until his revelation.

Tetsuya was working as an "Ask ___" for the local newspaper of his home town. He wasn't religious, being an Agnostic (which means he doesn't follow any specific faith, but hasn't ruled anything out), and led a life more political than spiritual. But on the day of his revelation, he was accosted by what he though was a normal thug. In fact, it was one of the first Spirits to break loose from Hell.

The Spirit used its supernatural abilities and nearly killed Tetsuya, but then God spoke to him. He instantly realized how to fight off this person, and knew that it was "okay". He used his own supernatural powers to fight off the thug, and was recruited into the Nine warriors.

As the Pilgrim, he is on a journey of faith. He is the designated "leader" so to speak, putting in friction in the group but they all agree with the will of the Lord. He knows in his heart, that he shall be the one to face the Devil. He knows that if he lives long enough, he will fight in the final battle. But this is only his feeling, not the will of God or the will of anyone else.

The Pilgrim seeks the truth of life and God, and he's more than willing to beat it out of a few demons.

There are some key demons that must be recognized:

The Devil-The nameless one of evil, he is the true face of Hell. Lucifer, Satan, Beelzebub, and all others are but servants to the great Devil himself. His power is greater than the fallen Angels, for he is the very darkness that tainted the hearts of Lucifer and the other angels.

Lucifer, Lord of Pride-Even though he has been cast into the Pit, Lucifer still retains his beauty, the beauty of an Angel. Being a mighty Seraphim, he is quite powerful, yet not strong enough to overpower the Devil or God. His Pride made him fight God, shall it make him face the Devil too?
The Beast of Pride is the Lion.

Mammon, Lord of Avarice-Mammon is the cause of theft and murder, dissatisfaction and greed. His evils are not as immediately dangerous as Anger and Pride, yet the master of Avarice knows patience and this patience allows all his plans to come to fruition. The Demon is crafty and wise, smart and sadistic. But will Greed consume him, like the flames of Hell?
The Beast of Avarice is the Wolf.

Asmodeus, Lord of Lechery-Asmodeus is the three-headed master of the Sins of the Flesh. With the middle, human head he speaks convincing words. With his left head, the Goat, he prods the sinful towards their deed. And with the right, the Dragon head, he forever burns them in Hades. His power over lust is strong, but could it possibly overpower him?
The Beast of Lechery is the Goat.

Satan, Lord of Anger-Though anger is the sin that inflames man's heart the most, Satan is forever trapped in the ice of Hell, in the Ninth and Final circle. Though Lucifer toils in pain, Satan is forever trapped away from the warmth of God. But now, free, his anger burns across the land, burning away those that would oppose him. But can the flames of anger burn too bright?
The Beast of Anger is the Boar.

Beelzebub, Lord of Gluttony-As he is called the Lord of the Flies, so does the Glutton forever fly about, seeking his next meal. The dark master of food is often drunk and eating, using his horrific minions to do the dirty work. He demands the food of earth, be it the food of humans or their flesh. But Gluttony could consume more than food...perhaps one's self?
The Beast of Gluttony is the Fly.

Leviathan, Lady of Envy-The Great Serpent Leviathan was the snake that tempted Eve with Envy over God's knowledge. Thus, mankind now suffers eternal. The temptress can take many forms and speak many tongues, and is a Queen among deciet. But Envy is not something to toy with...
The Beast of Envy is the Dog.

Belphegor, Lord of Sloth-Belphegor is sloth incarnate, not even walking under his own power, instead carted around on a wheelchair by his minions. He uses wealth and the other sins to make his strong. Sloth diverts one from the path to truth, and once one is diverted, one falls into Belphegor's grasp. But will he be too Slothful, and perhaps miss one to many details?
The Beast of Sloth is the Donkey.

It is recomended that one have some knowledge of the Inferno before entering. Also, some helpful websites (this isn't illegal, right?)

Bio: was born in Alaska as a normal girl. Then moved to Japan. at age of ten her parents where killed by Demons and she wants revenge. An Angle Came down from heven on the night her parents died and the Angle Gave her a sword. The minute she tuched it her lifee changed forever. And gave her strange powers which she does not know oll about.

Weapons: 2x Itos that were blessed by god, in a dream, to be able to kill demons.

Personality: Laid back and indicisive. He would rather follow a leader than be one himself.

Bio: Coming from a long line of Japanese decent, harun was inexplicably born white. Most said it was a sign of god as he had a the symbol of peace for a birth mark. Growing up with a stereyotypicall family of Japanese people he was tuaght the way of a wepon of his choice. He chose the Ito and has been training ever since then.
One day in a strange accident his entire family was burned to death in a house fire. The room he was in at the time however had no signs of any damage. In a dream an angle came to him. This angle tolf him to defeat the man who had killed his parents. He then told him to meet the others. The angle then picked up the Ito's and stabed himself through the heart so as to bless them. He has been searching for the pilgrim ever since.

Apperance: Dressed in a Black T-shirt and Jeans. Harun wears his Ito's wherever he goes. His hair is shortly cut and also black. He is bare faced and rarely ever lets his mustace grow out. He has piercing blue eyes that seem to stare into your sole.

Abilities: Azra has been granted the power of limited forsight, which means he knows what his opponint is going to do a moment be for he or she dose it, he has also been granted great speed and reflex, which add to his martial arts training making him deadly in battle.
Apperance:Azra is an older man, he wares a traditional oriental kamono, it is white. He is strong, but not large. He is only 5ft 6in.
Personality:Azra is very rarely proud of himself, he is proud of God, and proud of others who serve God, but not himself, he is like the teacher who is only greater so he can teach others to be great. He is paitient also.
Bio:Azra has been a servent of the Lord all his life, he was given the title One of Humility by God himself at the age of 23. Azra teaches others the ways of God as well as the Martial arts, which God has told him he will use to humiliate Lucifer.

[b]Abilities:[/b] Kaitou has enhanced strength (which allows him to actively wield his massive daikatana) as well as mobility. After years of training his mind and body to be as one, Kaitou is actually capable of using his mental energy as a weapon -- meaning he has limited telekinesis abilities.
[b]Appearance:[/b] Kaitou dresses in a long white robe with silver crosses sewn into each shoulder. His pants are long and grey, and over each he wears metal leg greaves. A sword amulet hangs about his neck, and beneath the robe he wears a silver, sleeveless shirt. Kaitou's silver hair is relatively short, and he usually wears it so that a few lengths hang over his eyes (which are ice blue in color). He carries himself with an air of passive calm and compassion, and all who look upon him know that he has recognized his place in life. Kaitou's face usually holds little expression, and when it does, it is sparing.
[b]Personality: [/b]Since his conversion and the 'message', Kaitou has become utterly devoted to God and His will. Anything that hinders this will should be eradicated, either by his hand or God's. However, Kaitou knows that God would not want him to kill needlessly, and thus Kaitou works hard to first know his enemy before he decides whether or not to battle. Having been devoid of most emotions early in his life, Kaitou rarely expresses his feelings, and when he does it's usually in a subdued or quiet sense. It is quite rare for Kaitou to get excited about something, or display any kind of extreme feeling. To normal mortals, Kaitou is compassionate and will sometimes go out of his way to help others even if it puts himself in danger. He has faith that God will protect him until it is his time to die.
[b]Bio:[/b] Born into a very Catholic household in the California valley, Kaitou led a relatively simple life for his first handful of years. His father was a businessman and his mother stayed home and tended to the house while Kaitou went to school. But when Kaitou became a teen, everything changed. He rejected the religion that his family had placed upon him and ran away from home, determined to make up his own mind about the universe and his place in it. For a month he remained away, wandering the wilderness and small rural towns in search of purpose. In time, he fell ill from malnutrition and was brought to his parents' house once more by the police. Barely conscious, the doctors weren't sure if Kaitou was going to live out the night.
It was then that red light suffused everything. From the nothingness came forth horrible creatures of nightmare -- demons, they were called. They slaughtered Kaitou's parents before his eyes and then turned upon the sick youg boy, who was only 17 at the time. As the killing blow was about to fall, Kaitou felt his body become haloed in white light. In his mind spoke the Word of God, telling him to take up the hammer of God's judgement and strike down the demons. A massive daikatana appeared from nowhere, allowing the now-revitalized Kaitou to take a deadly revenge on his parents' killers. Since this day, Kaitou has been a devout follower of God. Taken care of by the local church, Kaitou has received the summons of God and will now go forth after his years of servitude and training to battle the demonic minions that plague his -- and God's -- world.
