The Story(Prologue): The shadows parted to reveal a dark shape whose black heart clashed with the darkness that surrounded it. "Yes", the Dark being thought," I have discovered the scroll that possesses the power to raise my dark lord to his former glory. Then suddenly, The dark shape straightend to reveal the face of the being in the moonlight, He appeared to be fairly young yet in affect was almost as old as the great citadel of the light.

The man smiled slightly and shouted out into the darkness, " Now I, Zodar Foulface shall possess power beyond ones dreams and under the command of the darkness I shall be supreme". Zodar then began to cackle maniacly as he once more was shrouded by darkness. Then his dark voice swept through the night sky saying " And the world be damned"

Elsewhere, There were other eyes watching this scene in terror. The gods of Faith, Hope and Magic each had a worried look on their faces as they surveyed the other gods faces. The god of Light stood up from his throne and said " We must do something about this". The god of Magic stared at the speaker and replied " But what can we do? We cannot return to the earth and the titans are asleep" The god of Light acting arrogantly as always just retorted " Well, wake them up! Last time darkness was on earth, the human and Dwarven races were almost wiped out, not to mention the destruction that destroyed the blood isles".

The god of Faith stood foward and said " We are unable to interfere with fate, We are unable to reawaken the titans in the heavens" The god of Fate nodded and added " The fates decree that a handful of warriors will take the powers of the titans and smite the dark one".

The god of Hope than finished what everyone where talking about and said " We must take these heroes from where they are to the resting place of the titans so that they can draw upon the power of the titans"

Harun, in love, was always with Jona. They went to market together. They played together. So, naturally, when the time came for Harun to be " in love " Jona was his first choice. He loved her and she loved him back. However the gods were cruel on a sunny day in June.

Suddenly, and unprovoked, the kobolds of the forest went mad. They came into the city, ravaging, pillaging, killing. Jona was no exception. Harun watched as his whole village was burned to the ground. The only thing left were a sword and a staff. How? Harun was not touched.

" Damn you! Why? It didnt have to happen that way. Why God's? I know that you could have stopped it! Why didnt you stop it! Why?"

These were last words Harun spoke as he left his village. He went far and wide. Learning what he could from the people who knew things. Learning was all he could do now. Taking a particullar interest in petty magic, Harun studied from a wise Frost Wizard. Countless years passed, having leaned all he could from him, Harun left. Now he sits in a bar, waiting for his destiny to be dictated to him.

Kern wandered through the large cave as if he was a sleeper yet he technically wasn't there. The various corpses that lay on the ground and against the walls were intangible.
" Where am I" The young paladin thought. Than he gasped in fear at the scene that unraveled before him concerning The material body of himself and a huge skeletal Fiend. Kern watched as the material form of himself swung his rapier at the fiend but as soon as the blade struck the fiend it shattered. The fiend than retaliated by slashing with his claws which drew a howl of pain from both the spectral and the material forms.

Then suddenly the fiends voice rang out " and now foolish paladin, you shall meet your gods" as it raised it's scorpion like tail above it's head to finish the young paladin. Then Kern found himself slipping away from the dream, back to reality.

When Kern reawoke, he foun some of the elder priests standing over him studying the gashes in Kerns chest intently. Kern sat up then shouted for them to get out off his room so that he could get ready for his journey. After half an hour, Kern was ready to go off into the world when a sudden white light surrounded him and caused him to dissapear from the face of the Dragonspine mountains.

Two figures stood in front of a monastary on a hill. A decript old man and a young woman. A slight breeze blew the woman's hair back.

The old man sighed softly, "It seems only yesterday you were just the mere slip of a girl."

Selene nodded. She remembered so vividly the day he had found her. How he had raised her as if she were his own daughter and taught her the way of the cloth, how to perform white magic, and most importantly how to control her power over water. It was because of her power over water that she had run away from her home.

Selene had grown up in a fishing village. Her father had been human and her mother an elf. The villagers always looked down on her because her race. Selene also had a natural talent with things around water but this only caused her to be envied and alienated by her peers. When her father died in a boating accident Selene had become so torn with grief that she ran to the riverbank. But at the riverbank the more she cried, the higher the level of the river grew. Selene felt a surge of power that she couldn't control. The river grew to such a size that a flash flood was created and it destroyed the village. Selene knew somehow she had caused this and ran away in fear and confusion. That was when the elder priest Stilgar had found her.

And now Selene had gone through the last of Stilgar's tests and now could go out into the world. Stilgar drew a long white staff from his robe. A sapphire which was fixated onto one end glittered in the sunlight. Selene's eyes widened in awe. "Use this to control and amplify your water powers," Stilgar said. "This is my final gift to you."

Selene gripped the staff, brushing her fingers over the strong oak wood. Tears filled her eyes. "Thank you." And then Selene set out into the world. She traveled from town to city to village helping where she could. She became well-known as a priestess and she became known as "The Bringer of the Water of Life."

Selene has now come upon yet another city. She has found her reputation has presceeded her and many city residents have gathered to seek her aide since her arrival. In the same city a man sits in a bar waiting for a twist of fate.
