I (sort of) got this idea from Spy Kids 3 and Megaman... It's a computer-based RPG with different levels, but I'll explain further in the story...

Dr. Zaniac, who was always considered a mad scientist and a computer freak, worked at his computer and lab for at least sixteen hours a day, determined to invent something that could make him millions of dollars. Many of his projects, which included a dream interpreter, a flying scooter, and a device that can teleport people to certain places, all failed and resulted in worthless chemical waste that took up landfill space... Still, he would not give up trying to create a masterpiece...

Finally, the day came when he finally created something he thought was worthwile--it was sort of a game, where users could create creatures that were like internet warriors and defeat bad guys on the internet, especially the new viruses that kept breaking out in computers all over the planet. These viruses and worms could break through any firewall and anti-virus system and instantly shut down any computer they chose, permanently deleting its information and preventing it from working anymore... These viruses were called the "Independent Killers", because they seemed to have minds of their own and even some form of artificial intelligence, like aliens from a foreign planet that tried to destroy the earthlings. Unfortunately, the creator of these viruses was completely unknown, so the police couldn't arrest him/her...

Anyways, Dr. Zaniac called his internet creatures "Virus Busters" and specially programmed them to obey their creator and have certain weapons and powers that they would use to fight these viruses, which also resembled creatures. The users could talk to the creatures and other users by instant messaging.

To test his program out, Dr. Zaniac e-mailed a small group of potential people from all over the planet that could help protect the world from the Independent Killers. His message was:
"Dear (name),
Congratulations! You have been specially chosen to test out my new program called E-Connect. It is a program where you create your own internet creature, sort of like having a virtual pet. But, these creatures, called the Virus Busters, are designed to stop the Independent Killers, dangerous viruses that roam the internet nowadays. If you accept, click here to start your journey; I will guide you through the next few steps but after that you are on your own...

Can the users of E-Connect stop the Independent Killersand find out who created them? Can they stay on the computer enough to participate (not get distracted by the events ofthe real world)? The internet will soon find out...

Note: You can make your posts more interesting by posting what happens outside the computer occasionally... just make sure every post has at least part of it take place inside the computer...
Another Note: For instant-message conversations between users and Virus Busters, you may post the conversations in script format, as if you were actually IM-ing someone. However, anything else must be in paragraphs and follow the standard rules of the Adventure Arena...
Example:
Joe: I think you should fight him!
Claws: I think so too.
Joe: *thinks a moment* Ummm, do you have any info on the enemy?
Claws: No... :(
As Claws was thinking, the monster attacked with a laser beam, knocking Claws unconscious. Claws couldn't move. Joe panicked when this happened...

[u]Personality:[/u] He can stay on the computer for hours and often forgets to eat and sleep. Other than that, Kaida is very antisocial and loves online RPGs with sparring. He's also vengeful and sadistic, and he'll never run away from a fight or challenge.
[u]Bio:[/u] Kaida first learned to use a computer when he was six, and ever since, he became obsessed with computers. He was happy with that until he turned 20, when that fateful day happened... One day, when he was playing a game on the internet, the computer suddenly froze, and it later shut down. Kaida tried to turn it back on, but it wouldn't operate... He completely freaked out. While he was buying a new computer, he read about the new seemingly indestructible viruses that were spreading throughout the world. However, nobody had a clue who created these viruses... Five years later, he got an unexpected email from Dr. Zaniac asking him to participate in E-Connect... He had a hard time choosing and creating his Virus Buster, though...

He sometimes acts like a know-it-all; he seems to be fairly intelligent for a flower. Unlike most flowers, he hates bright light/sunlight...

Bio: Jake started becoming interested in the computer when he was 10. He had played online RPG's and other games as well. Well, he has overloaded a few computers and has saved up his money to buy a new one. While he was browsing, he saw a news report on one of the TVs that the store had. The Reporter was talking about some "super viruses" that had been spreading through out the entire globe. After he purchased his computer and went home and got it set up, he recieved an email from someone know as Dr. Zaniac. It was an invitation to paricipate in E-Connect. Jake jumped at the opportunity to destroy the Independant Killers.

Personality: Satoshi is cool, calm and collected boy genius. He graduated from university when he was only 13 and is now a major part of a technology company trying to develope ways to delete the Independent Killers for good. He is addicted to his computer and has breakdowns if he is deprived of the Internet for over half an hour.
He doesn?t like to socialise and has no true friends, but that doesn?t mean that he is a bad person. He can be very helpful to anyone who asks and will always lend a hand if someone needs it.

Bio: Satoshi was an orphan and has no real memory of his past. The furthest back he can remember is when he was sent to a school for the gifted when he was 7. Those days were boring and Satoshi had no friends to speak of, all the other kids made fun of him because he was an orphan.

When he was 10, a rich businessman discovered that Satoshi had great ability and that he should go to university. He did and graduated when he was 13. He stayed in normal school but now has a job at a large technological company that is trying to develope a way to combat the Independent Killers.

Personality: Satoshi wasn?t bothered about what his Virus Buster was like, as long as it worked, that's why he gave it to a girl in his class to model it. He didn?t have the time to do it himself but he regrets it now. He wasn?t expecting a mad-rambling-blue-haired-fangirl to be his partner.
Imi has got a HUGE crush on Satoshi and calls him, Sat-san and koibito ('lover' in Japanese) much to his dislike.
She is a happy, carefree Buster who enjoys what she does best: kicking virtual ***! She is Satoshi's biggest annoyance but he could never let her get hurt, even though he hates to admit it, she really is like a best friend to him.

Weapons: Nyoibo (Goku of Saiyuki's weapon) and a Shinai (Kendo stick)

Abilities: Flight with her wings only, ability to annoy the hell outta her creator and being able to blast fireballs[/COLOR]

He was teased and made fun of and in response to this he trained both his body and mind to its peak performance level. The main cause for this was he fell in love, the object of his affections didn't know he existed. Over time he got to know her, here is where the story begins he and Jenna were sitting at a computr when a silent killer entered it causing the moniter to explode, she died in a horrible mass of shrapnel and wire, So he created.

Weapons: 1-Venom cannon(fires electofied crystals that lacerate and destroy the target struck, the electrical discharge from the impact can stun any surrounding friend or foe)
2-Claws(can tear apart any thing he chooses
3 -Bio plasma( as a last resort he can vomit a corossive ball onto the foes breaking down their programme for absorbtion
Abilities: super strength(he can literally tear apart tanks if he chose to
telepathy(can communicate instantly with his user or another virus buster
regenerative programme( can repair damage to himself or other virus busters via a temporary interface

He slowly turned the knob, and entered into the silent room. He walked into the room and to his surprise it was somewhat empty. [/size]

Anxious to find out what the e-mail was, he clicked it. It was a message from a man named "Dr. Zaniac". He had invited Ryoma to participate in a destroying viruses in a game. He soon after received an e-mail from a "Dr.Zaniac", about"E-connect", dangerous viruses called "Independent Killers" and an internet creature he could create called a "Virus Buster". It all seemed very interesting, so he created his own Virus Buster, Ridge Zero.

She wears alot of makeup, and big hoop earrings.A thoughtful girl, but her main flaw is that she usually solves everything with violence. As a result, many people are scared of her. She is the leader of a female gang called the Crimson Petals, who are obsessed with making money. She's open minded and willing to try everything, and her objective now is to catch up with her schoolwork and abandon the gang life which she fears will bring her down. She admires her cousin (a very mysterious, suspicious person who you'll soon find out) and would do ANYTHING for her

Personality: A strange, mysterious girl who is somewhat of a psychic.

Abilities: Can absorb and manipulate data, as well as numerous "corruption" skills, such as making clones of herself....virus like abilities?

With these characters, things are not what it seems :P
