What would your life be like if you were supposed to be a hero?

In the ancient kingdom of Hevan-mei, fortune-telling is a venerable craft. Fortune tellers are not common, but when they are found they are skilled and wise, well-learned in their profession, and above all, accurate. Predictions may range from the gender of a child to the future onset of a natural disaster to the exact date someone will die. The predictions themselves are unpredictable, but if you see a fortune teller, you will learn of something that lies in your future, whether big or small.

In the first decade of King Navare?s reign, a very strange thing happened. A number of expecting mothers sought their fortunes from separate fortune tellers across the kingdom, and they were told the following:

?Your child will grow up to be a hero of our time, when it is most needed.?

Fortunes of that kind had never been heard before in Hevan-mei, and the fortune tellers themselves do not explain what they see. The expecting parents, stunned, proud, or horrified, stumbled out of the room, left to figure out how to proceed by themselves.

As time progressed, the parents watched their children closely, waiting for signs of this inherent heroism that was predicted. But there was nothing in particular that singled these children out; no abilities beyond what might be expected, no miraculous saving of the village with a magical burp. The children seemed, for the most part, normal. But the parents always knew, always remembered the prophecy that hung over those children, that they were destined to be heroes.

It is now two decades later. And today, in year 27 of King Navare?s reign, heroes are most needed.

A little background on Hevan-mei:
Think medieval times, with a little less filth. Throw in a little fantasy, some magic, swordplay, mythical creatures, a kindhearted king who?s a bit cowardly but means well, knights, an agricultural society, and you?ve pretty much got the picture. No, honestly, I don?t have the world fleshed out that clearly in my head, so a lot of things will fly ? if I disapprove, I?ll let you know.

However, though supernatural stuff exists in this world, your characters still seem to be your pretty much average humans. Don?t go too crazy with the skills and the powers ? though your character?s supposedly a hero, most of them probably haven?t done anything very heroic yet.

Go wild with your biography; who knows what your parents (or possibly just your mother) thought when she heard the prophecy? Some might have told their children all about the prophecy and sent them to the king?s royal academy, causing them to grow up as snobs extraordinaire; some might have hoped that it would never come to pass and raised their children completely normally. Detail is much appreciated.

Name: Meiko Mizuya
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Appearance: See attachment. In case you can't tell her hair is black and her eyes are a chocolate brown.
Skills: Meiko is mainly skilled with her Ninja Blade which she carries around with her everywhere, except when sleeping, or else she has it close at hand for easy access. She is skilled in the arts of acrobatics and can do skilful flips which can help her get out of difficult situations and most of the types of Martial Arts which helps when she's lost her weapon. Meiko can do a bit of healing magic, but not much and has Pyrokinetic powers.
Personality: Meiko is a cold person, she keeps her emotions to herself and doesn't open to people. She's stubborn and sticks to her rights and beliefs and is quite arrogant. Her beauty is deadly and her intelligence, creativity and power are things people underestimate about her. Her cold side doesn't let her accept jokes which makes her over serious about things, making people try to get her to brighten up. No one expects the power hidden deep within her, or her skill with techniques and weapons. She doesn't trust anyone, love anyone or care for anyone.
Biography: Shigami Mizuya(Meiko's mother) heard the prophecy and was slightly stunned, but in a good way. Shigami had always wanted to Meiko to go out and see the world because Meiko's too much of an introvert and doesn't enjoy being social. Instead of being with friends in the afternoon, she sits in a large Sakura tree in the middle of a field and does various things, like reading, creative writing, diary entries, painting scenery, and other such things. Shigami told Jimma(Meiko's father) the day that she discovered it and he was proud, he, like his wife wanted Meiko to go out and explore, to find herself and hopefully open up more. But it was decided that they wouldn't tell their daughter, because Meiko would refuse it and say that it was just something that the lady had made up.

Whenever she wasn't in the tree, she was in her room, the house or in the field. She usually read in her room at night, spread out on the bed with her bedlamp on or she wandered around the house aimlessly. During the day in the field she would sometimes practice her magic and skills. She would meditate, and train for hours on end, sometimes taking breaks to sit in the tree and do her other usual things. For lunch she would go home and make something quick, easy and light before going out again and returning at sundown. That was her daily routine and she didn't want it any other way. The only thing important to her was strength and power. How would friends be of any use in the future? There is no reason for anyone to have friends, they have no importance in life. Those were such thoughts that went through her head everyday as she trained, she even told these thoughts to her parents when they asked her why she didn't want any friends. They were sad about the news and hoped she would grow out of it, but she had been like this most of her life. It started when she was 10 and had a best friend. They were as close as bestfriends could be, but she left her one day and Meiko was crushed. Her heart was broken and from that day, she didn't want friends, she never wanted to feel the pain that she had experienced that one time, ever again, so she pulled herself away from society and became a loner which had no want for friends, unlike a lot of loners that weren't social outcasts out of choice. So all of her determination and work goes into meditating and training to become stronger and more powerful. Meiko has never trusted another person in her whole life since Aki, even though deep inside she knew it wasn't fully Aki's choice to move away, but Meiko wouldn't let herself believe it and her heart became stone, never trusting, never allowing herself to love or care deeply.

Nice idea ^_^ Magic is my fave

Name: Imric Connor

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Appearance: Imric's eyes are a grey/green colour with an uncanny ability to give adults shivers from staring into them. His hair is blue and he wears it in a long, sleek ponytail that reaches past his waist.
His face is quite feminine and most people would describe him as a pretty boy, but good looking none the less.
Imric wears black and only black. He is training to be a priest and always wears the same outfit. One like this just without the weird hat ^^;

Skills: Imric can use basic magic spells like casting fireballs and making plants grow. Nothing too powerful. But he uses his weapon extremely well, it is a staff with a crucifix shaped blade at the top (very priest like) and is very powerful in the right hands.

Personality: Imric is a loner and he prefers to have very few friends, he would have none if it wasn?t for his parents interference. He is very serious most of the time and won?t let anyone see his emotions easily. But once he knows someone and he trusts them, he will always protect them and will do everything in his power to make sure that they are safe, even if it costs him his life.
He is dedicated to his learning although he is not very keen on the idea of preaching, he has his own theories on God and creation, most of which would be shunned by the Church and would cause him to be excommunicated.

Biography: When Imric's mother (Seraphina) found out about his destiny, she was shocked and horrified. She didn?t know what to tell her husband in fear of him blaming the prediction on her. When she got home, her husband (James) noticed how worried she looked. When asked what was wrong, Seraphina burst into tears. James tried to comfort her but she pushed him away, crying that it was 'all her fault' and that the family was 'cursed'.
James stood back and shook his head, asking her again what the problem was. After about 10 minutes of questioning, she managed to blurt out the whole ordeal with the fortune teller.

James believed that such a thing could harm there unborn child?s chance of getting into the priest hood, so he convinced Seraphina to keep it a secret and to never tell their child of that day. She agreed, and to this day has told no one.

When Imric was finally born, his parents were shocked at his appearance, blue hair and green eyes were deffinatly not a usual occurrence and they were ashamed of their baby, even though he only been born for 5 minutes.
The two tried to raise him as normally as they could, keeping him away from less well to do children and making sure that he had the best education.

When he was 13, Imric was taken to the Church and they started training him for the Priesthood...to be frank, he hated it. Imric couldn?t stand the though of a boring life of preaching the word of God and learning from some musty old book, especially since he didn?t believe most of the things that were being drummed into him.

After 5 years of intense learning, Imric was excepted into the Priesthood at the age of 18. He is part of a group known for using their magic on supposedly haunted villages or performing exorcisms. The group is well known everywhere and they all dress the same way *points to pic* that is how they are recognised. (If I can think of a name for them then I'll write it @.@) He also preaches at his local Church occasionally but does most of his work around the village helping others and teaching them.

He knows that his parents are hiding something from him but knows that there is no point in asking, so he leaves it at that.
Most of the time he is at the Church and he does try to help out at one of the lower schools.
From all his time in the Church and spending countless hours with mathematicians and scientists, Imric has grown to be very intelligent but unfortunately, not the nicest person you could meet. He practices magic late at night because he knows that his parents believe that being able to cast spells like fireballs is a sin and a sign of a demon.

<.< I hope this is okay, I've only been up for about 20 minutes.

Edit: I hope it's okay now, my brain feels like jelly so I know there's probably room for improvement

Name: Lyra (Leer-Uh) Hyrinsohn (Hi-Ern-Son)
Gender:Female
Age 19
Appearance: Lyra's hair falls in golden cascades down to her waist. She has large, abnormally bright green eyes in a mysterious cat-like fashion, meaning her pupils dialate whenever she feels a new emotion, and the pupils are somewhat diamond shaped rather then circle shaped. She stands at five foot seven inches and holds herself up with dignity and poise, like she was taught to do. Her body is pale, for as long as she stays out in the sun she never manages to get a tan. She wears an outfit much like the one here, but as said before she has different features. Although she does wear lovely gowns to the King's parties and balls, Lyra is a staight-up tomboy who only wears a skirt because she was ordered to do so.
Skills: Lyra has an amazing sense of balance, reflexes, and agility, which comes in use when she was being chased by her care-takers when she was younger. Her affectionate nickname from the king is infact, "My Little Kitten," because of her cat-like qualities. She has been known to jump from one turret of the palace to another without hurting herself one bit, which actually doesn't suprise anyone who knows of the prophecy. She also can use multiple weapons quite well because of her training.
Personality: For a beautiful girl raised in the king's acadamy, Lyra is very energectic and outgoing. When she was younger she would have much rather played with the peasant children then the snobs she knew and learned with. She is very cunning and sly, as she had to escape her lessons alot as a child. Lyra is very caring to strangers and friends and is able to make anyone laugh with her sarcastic sense of humor. She sometimes trusts people a little to easily, which usually isn't a bad thing, but then there are the times it is.
Biography: When Alanis Hyrinsohn, a poor, pregnant widower, sought out a fortune teller to tell her of her unborn child, she got more then she expected. When Alanis heard of the propehcy, she knew she had two choices. Either 1.) Keep the child and raise her as a poor country girl, or 2.) allow the only thing precious to her to live in the King's palace and learn all she could about the world. Alanis chose option two, and as soon as Lyra was born, the king himself came to see her. He instantly fell in love with the big green eyes and her impeccable charm. He told Alanis she could come and see the girl anytime she wanted, and whisked Lyra off to his Royal Academy.

Right off the bat, when she started walking and talking, she became a trouble maker. When playing an innocent game of Hide and Find, she could hide for hours on end, and when she was 'It' she would just set off to explore the surroundings around her and leave the other children thinking they had the most wonderful hiding space. Lyra was treated differently, the servants bowed to her once or twice a day and some that she had never seen before would sometimes rush up to shake her hand. Lyra already knew of the propechy that bound her to heroism, but she insisted that she be treated like every other child. No one listened, and that's when Lyra started running away for days on end, playing with the poor children or deliberatly getting her spectacular gowns dirty. In this period of time (she was around 7 or 8) is when she found out about her "cat-like" qualities, and she used them to her advantage.

The phase ended, and Lyra agreed to calm down a bit and take her studies seriously. She became a very intelligent young girl, having learned from the best of the best only fit for the King's Academy. When she turned 13, she was forced to take a new class. One that had no other children. King Navare told Lyra that this classes' purpose was to make sure she knew how to control her skills for when the time came that she really needed them. One of the most memorable classes was when Scholar Jacobsen threw random objects at her and she had to dodge everyone of them, which she did with flying marks. After there were no more things for her to do in that class, she started taking weaponry and advanced weaponry, in which she learned how to be very skilled in weapons ranging from bamboo sticks to swords. Now that Lyra is 19 years old and there are no more things for her to occupy herself with at the Academy, she spends her free time visiting her mother and searching around for the career that best suits her interests.

Wow... That took me a long time... I want a sandwich now. I hope this is all ok, terra.

Name: Caden Meinric
Age: 17
Appearence: Click here
Skills: Caden is rather deft with a pole/staff/bo because his father would tirelessly spar with him while they were working in the fields. But what's a little odd about Caden is that he also rather agile and jumpy which has gotten him nicknamed "monkey" at school, but he doesn't hunch or anything bad like that, its just that he's so agile and jumpy.

Personality: Caden can be a total ditz at times which makes him oblivious to his surroundings, and then there are times when he's very serious, but Caden's biggest quality is his appetite, his mother even said he's got a stomach that must be a bottomless pit. But mainly Caden is a ditz.

Biography: After Caden's mother had spoken with the fortune teller she rushed home and told her husband about what she'd been told, he'd been so thrilled about it that he knew that he should train the child of combat. So once the day came and his wife gave birth the man was estatic that the baby was a healthy boy.

As six years passed, the man decided to train Caden, and since then he and his son have been training and for the past few years, Caden has surpassed his father, so after awhile, Caden's mother and father told him of the prophecy, but he really wasn't all that interested and brushed it off for now, he told his parents that now that he knows he'll do anything to protect people, but for now he just wants to be himself as a teenager.

Caden's family is one of the medium class farmers, they get decent money for their crops and livestock but most of that money is payed into what they need the most which is food, clothing, all the basics, any extra money is hidden away for a rainy day. Since he is still only a boy in his family's eyes so he still has to attend school, which really bores Caden to the point of where he almost falls asleep. So Caden really craves something more than just his normal boring life.

Name: Avlenn Arboreal, Avl for short.

Gender: Female

Age: 26

Appearance: See attachment, note the simple cotton shift, imagine the ears normal, and visualize neutral skin tones and equally neutral eye colors. Most of which come in hazel honey and creamy dusk. In the way of shoes, she's elected to wear half soles, a pad of leather held in place with crisscrossing thongs over the metatarsals and ankles.

Skills: Besides having the ability to make her hair completely wooden, which can have its uses, she also can perform a summoning spell that calls on both the particles of spirit energy in air and any flowing underground or above ground water. This "Deepening Call" is a subtle sort of spell, invisible to the human eye, and so far, has remained unused except to help find water for the farming community. So perhaps, I should say that her skill is dousing. When water is found by the spell, her hair will take root and pull up the earth to reveal any hidden water. Otherwise, she is utterly weaponless.

Personality: If compassion could be personified, it would find its place in Avlenn. Fortunately, it has been personified, and it does live in Avlenn. She is the woman that sees suffering and seeks to relieve it. Her kindness is unparalleled, as is her ability to make friends. Besides this great philanthropy, Avl is extremely subtle, like her spell, and people don't notice her until they can count the lashes framing her eyes. But even so, her skill for putting people at ease is legendary

Biography: She's never given much thought to being heroic at all. And her parents, although casually mentioning it while she was growing up, haven't pressed her for any results. Born in the small farming town of Tracie, Avlenn doesn't seem to be particularly heroic, nor did she act particularly heroic. Unless you call soothing a child's bruised knee heroic. She spent most of her childhood days like most of her adult days. Cleaning the two room hut she was born in, trotting after her father and the plow, caring for the horses, and doing the customary dousing for water. Her mother, may her soul rest in peace, was very kind and gentle, urging her down a path that would certainly lead to the wood in her hair and the water in the earth reacting.

This experience happened when she was 6, and has stayed with her ever since. When she was sent on an errand to go fill the jars of the house with water, she obeyed. The creek was nearby and she wasn't a weakling. But, like any six year told, she became sidetracked. She wandered into the fields, following a butterfly, and soon found herself in the forest that grew to the north of Tracie. Soon something peculiar began to happen. Avlenn's hair began to press down the sides of her face, and she sank to her knees, which wasn't very far at the time. Her hair planted itself in the ground, hardening and sprouting leaves. When she tried to stand again, she merely had to breathe slowly, then her hair rose back up to surround her body normally. Each hole made by her hair was filled with water.

Amazed, but not excited, Avl went home and quietly mentioned it to her mother. She followed her beloved daughter and watched has her hair took root once more. This time, Avlenn was able to will her hair to pull apart an entire clump of sod, revealing a pool of fresh water. The jars were filled and life continued as normally as could be expected. She went to the school and learned the history of the land, the languages of men, and the political systems of the territory.

Tragedy did not strike all at once, and Avlenn knows that tragedy is more of an exaggeration than anything. Mothers die. Everything changes. Nothing is eternal. And she was the one to bathe and wrap her mother's faded body when the disease finally consumed her. When Avl came of age, she took upon herself the mantle of responsibility. After all, who would take care of her besides her father? Now that her mother was cold in the grave...there could be no marriage. As was the custom, the daughter remained with the family when the mother died.

Now, Avlenn is an unofficial water witch, and spends most of her time working under her father as he raises the staple products that feed them. There are very few complications. The men of the town know she is not meant for them, and she is completely loyal to her father. He is cold, but kind, and refuses to be afraid of her daughter's bizarre ability. After all, it has kept his farm, and every other farm in Tracie, from succumbing to drought. But this subtle nature of hers refuses to take credit for anything. She merely found water when it was needed, and mentioned it to the extremely close-mouthed people that were responsible for running the aquaducts. This way, she has remained pratically unrecognized in her power to affect the entire wellbeing of Tracie. And, you know, she likes it much better that way.

Name: Falstaff McBroomwitch

Gender: It's a booooyyyyyy!!!!

Age: Twenty-four

Appearance: I will post a picture sometime this evening, or maybe
as late as tomorrow.

Skills: Besides the uncanny ability to burp and fart at the same
time, Falstaff McBroomwitch seems to lack any obvious talents, although he
can juggle poorly.

Personality: If you took Kurt Cobain's depression and wrapped it in
a blanket of Eddie Vedder's angst, than sprinkled some of Ross Perot's
gravity on top you would have created Falstaff's antithesis. Ever the
comedian, young Mr. McBroomwitch was as light hearted and carefree as a
stereotypical fraternity poster boy.

My "Anti" Biography:

I will expand on the background of my character once the RPG is underway...if I make it :p

"Urrrrrrrrrppppppp!"

The sound, as startling and loud as a cannon's report, rumbled from a small niche in the University for Magical Studies library. It was immediately followed by roars of laughter from nearby male students and several severe looks from their female counterparts.

The object of all this commotion arose from a shadowed corner of the library where four members of the Omega Alpha Theta (or, as they were referred to by the majority of the student body, the OATs) fraternal organization gathered around an oak study table. The OATs were infamous for their wild parties, their obscenely hilarious jokes, and their sub-marginal academic performances. The leader of this motley, jovial, rag-tag organization was none other than Falstaff McBroomwitch, a foul mouthed fun loving young man that enjoyed nothing more than carousing over a pint (or preferably several pints) of ale.

Obviously the thunderous burp that piqued the whole librarys curiosity was emitted by this large buffoon.

"Geez Falls," said one of the OATs between fits of laughter, "that smelled really awful."

"Yeah, what crawled down your throat and died?" commented another crony.

"Lads, lads, if I've told you once then I have told you at least once," said Falstaff in slurred secretive tones, "the key to living a long and happy life is to digest at least your body's weight worth of booze everyday."

"Yeah, if by long life you mean one maybe two weeks," chided an OAT. "Damn Falls, you know that we have exams tomorrow, I know that you don't care about how well you do in school, but I know I want to graduate at some point in my life."

"Charlie," cried Falstaff with mock sincerity, "I am wounded by your remarks. I too hope to graduate fairly soon. At least within the next ten or eleven years. Plus length is all relative, an hour spent studying feels like ten while an hour worth of drinking feels like a few minutes! I would much rather have a happy life that is brief and feels brief than a boring one that is longer than my genitalia!"

All of the OATs, including Charlie, roared with laughter, not only at the crude humor, but at Falstaff's remarks on graduating. They knew that their friend would do everything he could to remain a student in good standing at the University. But they also knew that he would try his hardest never to graduate. Falstaff knew, no matter what, that as long as he remained a student at the University no ill could befall him. After all, his prophecy guaranteed it....

Name: Keiryn 'Enroy
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Appearance: Standing at 5'10, Keiryn has dark black hair, and opaline colored eyes. His face is considered handsome and quite attractive by many of the women who have happen to lay eyes on him. His strong features (high cheekbones, almost perfectly shaped eyebrows, and almond shaped eyes) and easy smile make him seem friendly to all those around him, yet his opaline eyes be-speak a great cunning and make you want to think twice before crossing him in any matter. His body physique is shorouded by a large cloak he has on at almost all times. Underneath he wears a close fitting suit which is a lite gray in color (think the suit type that Jackie Chan and Jet Li usually wear when they're movies are imports from China)
Skills: He is among the most skilled swordfighters in all of Heaven-mei, only nobody knows it yet. His control over the bastard sword and wazakashi have lead many a stray and foolish bandit to his death. He is very agile and quick in his movements, making him a difficult target to hit, and he has trained with great martial art masters, making him almost as deadly with his hands as he is with his many blades. Near the end of his training, he learned of another latent power that began to manifest itself in him, that of the bladesinger. While not quite yet powerful, he has the ability (for a short amount of time) to manipulate the very nature of his blades, giving them elemental power.
Personality: Keiryn is a kind hearted and generous soul. To those who do good. He is compassionate and quite empathic, an ability he has had since a young child. He has quite a firm grounding of what he believes to be right and wrong, and while trained with the ancient code of the samurai and the knights of Heaven-mei, he usually trusts to his gut instinct in judging others, and not always basing his assumptions and judgements on the actions/achievements of others. He can be the kindest and humblest being ti his friends (which his easy-going attitude make them many) and the greatest and most dangerous threat to his enemies (which his ability with the blade make few) He is aware that his training has a purpose, and that his parents withhold a certain knowledge from him, but he trust their judgement, and his only goal is to serve his lord's Kingdom, and punish those who commit evil.
Biography: It was a very warm day when the 'Enroy family where making their way from the market, with the weeks food and baby Keiryn in the cart, when Hera happen to notice a thin plume of smoke rising to the east of them. Upon seeing the flames, Japeth urged the horses on at a quicker pace, and the family soon found the cottage of an old lady slowly succumbing to the flames of the fire. Without any hesitaition, Japeth rushed into the flaming building, searching for the old lady who had always given them a kindly wave whenever they passed. He found her half unconsious but was able to quickly pull her out of the flaming building. The family took the lady to their hame, where they cared for her, helping her reach her old strength and sense of self. Then, one morning, the family arose to find the old lady missing from her neatly made bed, which had a letter and a rose lying on it. The letter was short, and gave the couple a news that left them thunderstruck. The old lady was a fortune-teller,and besides that, left them with a prophecy, that their son would grow to be a great man, and would help deliver land from a great plight. Japeth was nothing but a simple farmer, who had renounced his sword and his ancestors way of life for a simpler one. Yet he knew that his son would need proper training. With this thought in mind, 4 years later, when Keiryn was five, he took his son too an old cottage deep in the woods, where his brother took the young boy, and trained him in the arts of the warrior, as well as practical and the artists knowledge. And thus, at the age of 20,with the knowledge of a warrior, and that he must offer the services of his blade to his King and to no one else, he left his uncle's care, ready to offer his service to his lord, and help clean out the neighberhood along the way.

Great sign-ups so far, guys :). Thanks so much for putting detail and effort into them. I haven't made decisions yet on whether or not I will be making cuts, but I have a few comments either way. (I don't expect you to, like, extensively re-edit or anything, I'd just like a few things clarified, so if you do want to add to your signup, I wouldn't expect any more than a couple sentences.)

[strike]Ohkami: It's not quite clear to me whether or not Meiko's parents ever told her about the prophecy, though I think you implied they didn't. Anyway, if Meiko doesn't know about the prophecy, what is her motivation for training so much? What is her purpose for all of the strength and power she's developing? I don't need her entire psyche mapped out or anything, I'm just a little curious.[/strike] Got your PM, thanks :).

[strike]Crucifix: It would be nice if you could let us know a little more of what the "priesthood" entails, since we're all making up this world anyway :p. I mean, is the priesthood well-known and well-respected throughout the kingdom, or is it just a local religion? And is Imric actually inducted into the priesthood yet? What's the normal age for induction? Sorry to put this on you, but as it's a big part of your character it's probably most important for him.[/strike] Sounds great, thanks :).

[strike]Domon and dMage: I'd also like to explicitly know if your characters know about the prophecy or not.[/strike] Thanks!

Dragonblood: Your character is a little ... too mysterious, if you understand what I mean. The existence of both the dragon and the wolf seems a little bit excessive. Also, there are a few other signups featuring the "guy who's been trained since he was born" so if you wished to change your approach it might be a good idea.

If I didn't mention you, your signup looks fine to me :).

Uh, yeah, that ended up being longer than I intended. Editing is optional, and if you do choose to do so, I wouldn't expect anything longer than a couple of sentences. If you edit, don't notify me in here (one of my Adventure Inn pet peeves ...), I'll notice it, I promise. Or if you want to be very sure I notice, you can PM me.

I'll be back later for my own sign-up and stuff :D.

Name: Matsuo Retendo

Gender: Male

Age: 21 (I wanted to be 6... no joke.)

Appearance: See Attatchment >.<

Skills: Bullseye would be the word is his skill had a name. Literally, anything he throws or shoots is always right on target. He throws a knife and it'll be on target. He shoots an arrow and guess what? Bullseye.

Personality: Mats is kind natured. He treats everyone the same. But when it comes to revenge he can get a bit out of control. But all in all he is the kind of person you would meet on the street who would say 'Hi' or 'Good Morning' to you. All you gotta do is stay on his good side and your okay.

Biography: When Mats was about 6 his parents told him about some crazy cook saying he was destined to be a hero. They thought it would be kinda cool for him, like Santa Claus. He takes this very seriously though. He doesn't tell anyone but if anyone ever found out about it and made fun of him.. they would have an arrow in their head in an instant.

Deep down inside his parents take it very seriously aswell. They don't let their son know it but they believe the Prophecy is true and help him train with various fighting techniques.

Mats usually likes to climb a tree and sleep when he is not training. He may be a very social person but he doesn't have many friends. Some people just don't like to have him around. Optimism can be a bad trait. There is not much more to say about Mats. He leads basically a normal life.

Name: Vivian Crescent (called "Viv" by her friends)

Gender: Female

Age: 20

Appearance: {Click Here}
(Credit goes to Sciros Darkblade on myOtaku)

Skills: A self-taught wielder of basic magics. Vivian can conjure fireballs and energy balls, or make certain inanimate objects move as if alive (only for a short period of course). Vivian wields two warfans, which have sharp bladed tips for easy cutting action. {Click here for warfan}

Personality: Vivian is basically everything a hero shouldn't be, apart from the fact that she has no evil intentions. Miss Crescent is a cold-hearted "Ice Queen", and she lets nothing get in her way?not that she?s ever had a ?way? to get in. If she ever does find a ?way? for someone to get in, she likes to think she?d be able to wipe them out with one energy blast.

Biography: Around 21 years ago, when Maria Crescent found out she was with child, she decided to see a fortune teller, to find out the gender of her baby. All she expected was a simple, "It seems you will be having a girl" or the same sentence with the exception that the teller had said "boy" instead of "girl".
Maria was shocked to find, when she arrived at the fortune teller's hut, that the teller had been waiting, and said she had important news for the mother-to-be.
"Sit down, it will take me a while to confirm what I have seen. This isn't all Tarot Cards and Crystal Balls you know." the fortune teller mumbled as Maria entered, so Maria sat down and waited for a while. Just as she was about to ask the fortune teller to hurry up, the old hag came out of her trance and told Maria of the Prophecy.

8 years later, with the Prophecy in mind, Maria sent Vivian off to be schooled. Maria and her husband died soon after, but the school never found out, so neither did Vivian.
Viv spent her school days practising her magics, always aiming to impress. She wanted to be able to put on a great magic show for her parents when she left school and finally got to see them.
Friendships were no problem for Vivian, she mixed in well with boys and girls, and made many strong bonds with a variety of people.
Because of how popular and friendly she was at school, no one's sure why Viv became so cold and dark, but they guess it's because she found out about her parents' deaths.

I've finally got it up terra, so I'm ready when you are.

Name: Elanna Marionne
Gender: female
Age: 24
Appearance: Elanna is an extremely girly girl. She always likes wearing long, flowing dresses in pastel colors, and walks with grace after having practiced for years in front of the mirror in her bedroom. Her hair is long, curly, and a nice light brown; her eyes are blue and bright. She is a little on the petite side, and probably wouldn't stand out much in a crowd.
Skills: Elanna has always been able to see in the dark. She also has a certain tendency to be able to guess what people are thinking that would have developed into real psychic power if she had ever attended an academy or university in the kingdom.

Personality: Elanna has had a very limited life experience, being mostly restricted to her small village of Grenada and the life of a farmer, so she is quite naive at times. However, she is able to enjoy herself pretty much wherever she is, and she is very loyal and helpful to the ones she loves. Though she is very feminine, she is not squeamish of getting in and doing hard work when it needs to be done, and she hardly ever shirks her responsibilities. Occasionally she dreams once more of a life beyond the farm, but she has been successful at quieting that yearning within herself for many years.

Biography: Elanna's parents were petrified when they heard the Prophecy concerning their as-yet unborn child. They were peasant farmers with a decent-sized crop of land on the edge of the kingdom, and they had been trying to have children for years. At first, it had simply been a matter of needing more help on the farm, but after a few years, it became a desperate desire to raise a family. The Marionne parents felt that the prophecy would take away their only child.

Neither of them knew quite what to say to the other, fretting silently over it instead, until it hadn't been mentioned for a week. Then months. Then their child was born, and they never mentioned the Prophecy again.

Elanna grew up as a very curious and intelligent child. Her parents were very protective of her, but she still managed to get into her own forms of innocent mischief. At a young age she proved to be a great help around the farm, and soon her parents weren't sure how they managed without her.

As a child, Elanna always had a very intuitive sense of what other people were thinking. It began showing in small ways, such as Elanna getting up to set the table just before her mother was about to ask her to do so, then perhaps in slightly more important ways, like when Elanna went up to her friend Jeffrey in the next village and said, "I know you want to ask me out, so why don't you already?" If her parents suspected anything, they again kept silent.

When she turned 18, Elanna desperately wanted to attend the prestigious university near the king's castle, but her parents told her that they simply did not have the resources to send her there. They did not inform her that the king often offered generous scholarships to gifted children. Elanna had no hope for it and let the recruiter pass her village by without attending the interviews.

At 23, Elanna and Jeffrey got engaged, and they plan to marry in three months' time. Jeffrey and his brothers have been building a small house for them on the property between their families' two farms, and Elanna knows she will inherit all of her parents' land one day.

I'm going to try to write the first post for the RPG tonight, and have it up tomorrow.

In order to get all of our characters together a little sooner, I'm going to ask that everybody head towards a common destination: the Luthen Fair, held at the vast campgrounds outside the Castle of Hevan-mei. The Luthen Fair is your basic medieval carnival, held once every ten years -- and guess what, this is the year. The campgrounds are huge, so you can be as creative as you'd like thinking of what booths might be there once you get there.

You can start at the campgrounds if you'd like, or if you'd rather portray your character as s/he travels towards the Fair, that's fine as well. After some introductory posts I plan to move the plot a little bit, though, so please don't take too long :p.

Thanks!
