Are all of you were familiar in this poem? If not, here's some info I would like to give to all... Desiderata was written in 1927 by Max Ermann...Am I spell it right? It is all about the lives of the people and their attitudes... If you want to read the poem, simply search for Desiderata and there you are! Read the poem... for judgement...

For those unfamiliar with the poem, you can read it here.

I'm curious about your last remark. Read the poem...for judgement... It doesn't make sense.

I don't believe Desiderata casts judgement on anyone, heh. It's gentle advice, applicable to anyone feeling receptive.

Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Granted, much of it sounds like it's come right out of a fortune cookie, but still.

It sounds more like Franklin's Maxims of Behaviors...the exact name of the work escapes me at the moment, but it was Ben Franklin's guide to living well. Nearly all of what this poem is saying echoes what Franklin encouraged some 150 years before, so it's interesting to see how particular Ideologies and philosophies develop over time.

It's a nice poem, certainly, with a nice message, but why not just read Ben Franklin?

Sidenote: Lore, luv the siggi!!!1!1!11 OMG, they sould liek totaaly hook-up!!11 :p
