Corey
This RPG takes up it's time almost directly after the first Black Horizon RPG. Go read the last few pages to get a good idea of what just happened. If you want a good read, read the whole RPG. It's a good one. ??? ??- "No... It's not over... Not nearly over." The piercing blue eyes shown through the gloom of the filthy dark cell. "They will all join us. They will all be with us." The pulsing crimson light quickened slightly, almost as if it was excited. "With us..." The man curled up, blood seeping from the deep lacerations on his skin, and laughed. ??? Allen Chubb sat in the plastic chair and sipped his coffee. He swallowed the steaming brew and looked out over the metallic jungle stretching out ahead of him. He never thought he'd see it again. New Milwaukee. The city they had blasted off from and one of his favorites. It was the 'new' Silicon Valley. The central location for everything new and technological. He took another sip, still amazed how much better coffee tasted on Earth. Allen checked his watch. They'd be here soon. It's only been a week and none of them had been allowed to go home yet. Security precautions. Allen- "Waiter." The man in a white button up shirt came over. "Two more coffees and a nice strong cup of tea please." The man nodded and hurried off into the kitchen. He'd missed everything about this place. The slight pollutioned scent of the air. The setting of the sun. Everything. Even the rude military types. After a brush with hell, you begin to get a good view on things. Sam- "Allen!" Sam walked up the marble steps and sat at the table outside of the café. "What's up?" Allen- "Nothing much Sam. I was told to tell all of you to come here. I don't know why yet either. Did you see the others?" He nodded. Sam- "They were in a cab behind me." Allen nodded. The drinks came and Sam dumped a few packets of sugar and cream into his coffee. Allen- "There they are." He waved and the two waved back. The stepped up the steps and sat down in the other two chairs. "Coffee for you Trini and tea for you Van. Enjoy, we're on USAFs budget." Van- "Mmmm..." He sipped his tea. Allen looked him over with a sense of wonder. Whatever had happened to him over there, he certainly was younger. Trini- "So... Why're we here?" Allen- "I don't know. I was told to contact all of you and tell you to meet me here." He sipped his coffee. "I think something's going on." Van looked up sharply. Van- "What do you mean 'something'?" Allen- "I mean something related to our..." He tried to think of an accurate word and failed. "Our tragedy out there." He waved a hand in no particular upward direction. "Whatever it is, I can almost feel the tension in the military types that have been talking to me. Something has them spooked and it's quite a bit more than our reports..." ??- "Right you are Captain." ??? Computer Log: Space Station Sable 0255hours Repositioning Satellite For Incoming Transmission ... ... Message Received... Sender: Deimos Colony (Mars Sector) 001 & 002 Message is as follows... "Sable! Sabl... der atta... crew murdering ever... Risk of possible contage... Send... acuation team!" Attached sensor data. ... ... Abnormal biological scans. Insufficient data to compile possible malfunction. End of Log. ??? ??- "There you have it. The 'Abnormal biological scans' are nearly identical to the ones your team and the first Event Horizon rescue team recorded." Allen looked up from the scans and the report and directly into the mans eyes. Allen- "And who are you?" The man held out a hand and smiled. Rawson- "Admiral Frank Rawson. Airforce." Allen shook his hand, not bothering to salute. Allen- "And why did you give me this?" Allen knew why. He just wanted to hear it. Rawson- "I think you know why Mr. Chubb. You all just got off of this mission. You are all more experienced than any other people in the world. In short, we want you four to lead the rescue mission." Allen looked from face to face, then back up to Rawson. Allen- "We are on leave." Van- "Allen..." His gaze remained fixed on Rawson. Allen- "I have already put in my resignation papers." Trini- "Allen, you can't." Allen- "You expect me to give up a nice life at my cabin in Canada with, hopefully, a nice wife," his heart twanged for Satell, "for almost certain death and quite literally demons." Rawsons smile faltered. Rawson- "Yes." Allen looked at them all in the eyes. Allen- "What can I say? We almost died keeping these things from the world. We were willing to die... Why should we change that now..." Allen stood up and jabbed a finger into the ribs of the Admiral. "If we die, I'll haunt your ***. I want a crew. The four of us won't make it. Have as many bios as you can in my hand by the end of the day." He waked off, leaving ten dollars on the table as tip. ??? Ok. Seems like fun, hey. Though the storyline seems a little straightforward, I assure you all that there will be many twists and turns along the way. I do not have an ending in mind, so not even I will know what will happen.
The List 1) I want only serious and dedicated RPers. Raiha
Name: Avlen Arboreal Age: 26 Sex: Female Specialty: Communications Specialist Bio: Avlen Arboreal. Ex-Marine. Will work her *** off if promised the reward of a hot shower afterwards. Otherwise you can expect whinning, bitching, moaning, and a great deal of profanity. She likes linen dresses, hats, and foreign languages. Space travel is ho-hum, been there done that, but so far, nothing more exciting than a drunken Russian in a space station. She was born in Los Angeles, and in that City of Angels, she grew to the height of roughly 5'8" and learned enough to qualify for the better communications jobs out there. But for some twisted reason, instead of joining private industries, she elected to take the ASVAB and learn how to kill things...since she already knew how to communicate. The killing led to the talking, which led to the specialty of being a Communications specialist. She's been sent on missions to hostile territories, been expected to live on virtually nothing, and still manage to bring everyone home on the same wavelength. So far, her record is spotless. There have been deaths, there have been accidents, but never any retreats. Avlen, or Avl for short, likes the aforementioned hot showers after every tough mission, and that means...she must be the cleanest Ex-marine that ever retired from active duty and spent the rest of her life working for Verizon Wireless in an offshore division. This is where the foreign language obsession comes in handy. Mind you, she's a dead shot with a rifle, and an expert at using a bayonet, but she's much more excited by clean fresh consoles and the threat of demon seeds being planted in her person. Which is why she's no longer "In" as they say, and has been hired by USAF to work her *** off yet again. And this time, in much more bizarre circumstances. Space is fun.
Gavin
Edit: Rewrote Biography ending, the entire Personality section and added a photograph of Van. Nice of you to sneak this on us without any prior warning, I have to admit I've been looking forward to this since our last conversation. Name: Gavin Ambrose, known mostly as "Doc" or "Van". Age: 54 (Looks approximately 34 however) Sex: Male Specialty: Ship's Doctor Bio: Gavin Edward Ambrose was born on July 2nd 2047 in the Republic of Ireland, the same year as the ill-fated Lewis and Clarke mission. His father Malcolm Ambrose was a Doctor by profession and was overjoyed at the birth of a son, his mother Fiona Ambrose was a Biologist who worked in a military R&D facility. Van was to be first of two sons (His younger brother David was born on February 17th 2049) and from youth expressed a deep interest and almost connection with the life around him. Malcolm noticed his young son's affinity for life and thought quietly to himself that he'd made a good doctor. Years passed and it was apparent that Van possessed a very keen mind, he easily worked his way through school and topping his class in the Leaving Certificate. His passion for life hadn't diminished if anything it had grown stronger, and at 18 he chose to go on to follow in his father's footsteps in becoming a physician. He found his chosen profession to be at times almost blissful in terms of enjoyment, other people chose Medicine because it paid well later in life, Van chose it because he loved life itself. At the age of 23 he began going out with one of his co-workers by the name of Karen Price. Karen was everything Van had wanted in life, she was funny, caring, compassionate and possessed the same love for her job as Van did. The two were married a year and a half later on May 19th 2072 in what was to be one of the most memorable days in Van's life. After a few months Van decided to move back home to Clonmel City in Tipperary with his new wife and took over his dad's practice. Almost a year after that on August 17th 2073 Karen gave birth to Edward David Ambrose Van's first and what proved to be only son. As much as Van enjoyed his work in his father's practice he just felt that something was missing, something he couldn't put his finger on. Then one night about 10 years later Van came home to find police waiting at his front door, they told Van that there'd been and car crash and that he'd have to come down to the morgue to identify a pair of bodies who they believed were his wife and son. Van's soul seemed to shatter in that instant, every memory he had with them seemed to flood into his mind’s eye, the joy, the love and now the pain. Van knew that it was Karen and Edward even before they pulled off the sheet, his face went paler than death as he gazed upon lifeless bodies of his wife and son. Van seemed to turn to drink shortly after that, in the hope of making the pain go away, he would sit in his office with the blinds closed sipping away at some kind of alcoholic drink. In the end Van realised that he wouldn't drink away his sorrow and decided to leave Ireland for a few years to see the world, and hopefully get over what had happened. Van had seen horrors of the world, now he wished to see it's beauties, four years later in 2084 he returned to Ireland with a mind set on rebuilding his life. He decided to join the Army in the hope that it would help fill the remainder of the void that was still left in his soul, the first few weeks were the worst but eventually he was able to get over it and make new friends. Time progressed quickly for Van his already formidable skills in Medicine granted him early promotions in the Army, eventually reaching the rank of General at the age of 52. Two years later Van heard though "unofficial" channels about a mission to recover the recently reappeared Event Horizon, foregoing his Army title he volunteered under his medical credentials and was selected for the mission under the command of one Allen Chubbs. That was to be a mission that Van would never forget, for it was to change his life forever. Van set out on that mission as the Ship's doctor, a job which he believed would have him treating cases of space-sickness or possibly an injury caused by an over zealous engineer, he was wrong, very wrong. That was the mission from or very possibly to hell for the Bladerunner crew, which culminated in Van sacrificing himself by throwing himself and Weir in the gateway opened by Weirs engine aboard the Event Horizon. While there Van's body was genetically and physically altered by a force unknown and he was sent back through the portal before being rescued by Captain Chubbs. After his return the crew was forced to take down their fallen comrade Ruben Thorne and get back to Earth, Van was one of only four to have survived that accursed mission. They managed to escape the ship and after getting back to Earth Van settled into some well-deserved shore leave, although there was the oddity that he looked and physically read 20 years his junior. After a mere two weeks into his shore leave Van was called along with Sam, Trini and Allen to a strange meeting... Bah that was a damn long Bio but it does clear up a lot of stuff about Van. Personality: A kind, honest and very compassionate soul, Van Ambrose is the epitome of that which should be a Doctor, the reverence and preservation of life. As a child he was in awe of all life that surrounded him, from the mightiest Redwood to the tiniest fish, this trait has accompanied him through life and given him the strength he required to carry on. A wizened and intelligent man, there are few subjects which Van cannot hold a conversation on. He has seen the worlds beauties and horrors first hand, receiving wisdom and insight from both where other men would see only admire the beauty and loathe the horror. After the events of the previous mission one would understand if Van were to become more stoic in nature, however even after all the pain and agony of that mission Van's love of life and it's beauties and mysteries remain, as does his kind and caring soul. He is still morns for those who didn't make it on the Bladerunner and prays in the hope that they'll find peace in the glory of God. His willingness to sacrifice himself for the greater good remains, as does his thanks to God for allowing at least some of his compatriots on the Bladerunner to have made it back home with him. These people are his new family and he will do anything to protect them. Appearance: As seen here, although Van sports a neatly trimmed beard the same color as his hair.
Jokopoko
Name: Marcus Treming Age: 36 Sex: Male Specialty: Chief Science Officer, speciality in Geography Bio: Marcus is the only son of the rich industrialist Richard M. Treming and Marcus has had to fight his father?s reputation away from himself since birth. He originally came from Chicago where his Great-Grandfather had set up the ?family business? which had been so successful. Unfortunately his mother, Marlena, had died giving birth to him and so was raised by his father and the various servants about the Treming Mansion as he was growing up. Marcus resented this special treatment and just wanted to be left alone so he could develop his own personality instead of being given his fathers but it was hard to fight that while hardly being left alone and being sent to the best private schools in the country, just like his father. One of his fathers favoured sayings was that money could buy anything on Earth but it couldn?t buy Marcus his freedom. During his teenage years Marcus was sent too many private schools but he hated each of them as much as the last. This was because wherever he went his father shadow followed him, the Principals would be his golfing partners or his class-mates would be his father?s business partners or friendly rivals. Eventually Marcus had enough and asked his father to send him to a public school instead. After many heated arguments his father finally agreed to send him to the local school, but under an alias so the students and teachers wouldn?t know him. Almost instantly there was a change in Marcus?s entire learning style, he soon found a keen interest in Science and Geography but he still resented his father shadow over him. When the time came to pick what university degree to study his father instantly told him to pick an industry degree so to keep the business in the trade, but obviously Marcus disagreed. Once again arguments filled the mansions halls as the two fought it out with each other but soon things were said that couldn?t be taken back and Marcus packed his bags and left the mansion but still unsure as to what he wanted to do. In the end he decided to carry on with his love of science but in a different manner, he signed up with the U.S. Airforce as an assistant, this gave him experience but allowed him to continue what he loved and it was one of places where your family didn?t matter, only who you were. After six or seven years Marcus did eventually become a fully trained Airforce researcher/scientist/geographer. While he enjoyed his work with the military Marcus was never able to develop a lasting relationship with any of his female co-workers but according to his friends he wouldn?t need to do to much because apparently all the women thought him to be cute, charming and all the things girls realise but guys don?t. Halfway into the testing of the new Aerospace fighter designs Marcus got a call from the Office of the Airforce Commander-in-Chief. Upon his arrival he was informed of the previous Event Horizon mission and all the details involved therein. Being told of the distress call from Deimos he was given orders, not a choice, to join the crew of Allen Chubb as he, and the remainder of the first crew, set out to discover the fate of Deimos. Personality Profile: Marcus is a generally caring person but tends to get awkward in emotional situations and prefers to leave it to others to handle the situation. He isn?t very forthcoming about his past because, last he heard, his fathers company was still very high-profile and has thus far convinced people all they share is a last name and nothing else. He obviously knows the distinction between right and wrong and will always try to do what he sees as the right thing and makes sure it will benefit all parties, not just himself. Marcus can become to engrossed in his work and sometimes has to be forced to stop in order for sleep, food etc but over all his just the average Joe nice-guy. The only problem he has is being around women, it?s not that he?s afraid of them just that he hasn?t been around them that much seeing as he grew up without his mother around and the worst thing is he, apparently, has all the qualities that women find charming and it just endears him more to them.
Annie
Name- Lieutanant General Ana Thomas Age- 33 Gender- Female Appearance- Click (She wears a brown leather patch over her left eye.) Specialty- Operations Intelligence Bio- The biography of Lieutenant General Ana Thomas begins not at her birth as a human being. Instead, it starts at the birth of her Air Force career. At the age of nineteen, Ana joined the force in an aspiration of being a renowned pilot. Her training went accordingly to the pilot standards. Go to survival school, attend the Air Force Academy, have at least a bachelor's in college, go through basic training, all of that good stuff. Ana graduated at the top of her class and was offered the best quality of flight training the Air Force had to offer. It seemed Ana was well on her way. However, at the age of twenty-three, at the rank of Major, Ana fell victim to a car accident. The accident inhibited the use of her left eye and totally obliterated her pilot career. For several months, Ana sunk into a depression. All she ever wanted to do was fly. It was her one love. But, the Air Force refused to lose one of their best airman and offered Ana the position of Lieutenant Colonel in a field that was in desperate need of Ana's keen mind. Operations Intelligence. A field in which was very hard for the average person to enter. Ana agreed, seeing as how the Air Force was her only family. Over the years, Ana quickly climbed the ranks. Her dedication and strength placed her on top of the Intelligence Headquarters as the Headquarter's commander. General Thomas helped plan and carry out the missions of the Event Horizon and knows all there is to know about the missions, the crews, and the ship itself. After the recent mission, Intelligence HQ received transmissions and transcripts of messeges sent out from the ship. Ana investigated and looked over the files, taking in the events that took place. When the question of sending the crew back up to finish the ship off came through, Ana was the first to volunteer. Her only request was to be assigned the mission with the former crew.

Skye
Name: Doctor Steffanie Taylor Littleton Age: 29 Sex: Female Specialty: Psychiatrist/doctor Bio: Steffanie was the youngest of four children born to Fidelity and Jason Littleton, in Atlanta. Fidelity was a children?s doctor, while Steffanie?s father, Jason, worked at a local high school. Young Steffanie often had to fight for attention, even though she was the youngest. She grew up around boys, having three older brothers (Matthew, Daniel, and Caleb), and often was very rough. Despite this, she was very eager to learn, and, unlike others her age, blood didn?t scare her. When she got a scraped up knee, or a torn nail, she would be fascinated by how all the medicines worked. Her mother taught her things about medicine, and was amazed when her daughter brought home a small dog, whose leg had been broken, and took care of it with her mothers help. Soon the little dog was up and about, playing with the four children. When Steffanie started to go to middle school, she was in nearly every Gifted class, and was moved into 7th grade. She matured early, around 11 years old, into a tall, lean young woman. She constantly caught the eye of many boys, and stole half the girl?s boyfriends. She never meant to, but it wasn?t something she could avoid. She was favored by the teachers, hated by the girls, and loved by the guys. Unfortunately for them, she had her eye on someone else. A guy in the 9th grade by the name of Carson. Carson didn?t notice her until her solo in Chorus, and then he pretty much ignored her. So she gave up. She continued her studies in medicine, becoming more advance by the week. She pretty much flew through high school, and got out a year early. She was described in the yearbook as ?Colorful?, ?Hardworking?, and ?Most Likely to Succeed?. Steffanie?s oldest brother, Daniel, was married by then, and had a baby girl on the way. Matthew was going through college, and Caleb (only a year ahead of her when she went up a grade) was going into college the same year as his sister. Nothing much changed in college, and she went to Georgia Medical Institute. Steff got a scholarship, and went to work in between classes. She bought her own car two years after starting, and things became easier. Once out of college, Steffanie hopped about in different hospitals, and, finally settling, she worked at Atlanta Medical Center. This doctor never married, due to her job, but had many trysts, and only one serious boyfriend. She became well known in the state, and advanced to better hospitals in other states, and was contacted when the distress signal was put out. She decided to join the crew, and see what her fate would be. Personality Profile: Steffanie is very intelligent, and very stubborn. She has no temper, and endless patience, and will sit there while you rant at her for hours on end till you run out of fuel. When you?re done, her expression will be calm, and sometimes she has a twinkle in her eyes. She is very good at reading peoples emotions, and is also good at dealing with them. She will explain things logically to you, multiple times if need be ? but she will make you figure out what she means. Steffanie always listens, and then gives her opinion, after thinking it through. She can be one of the nicest people to talk to in a stressful situation, but she can be stern, too. She has no problem with the opposite sex, seeing as she grew up with three brothers, and she is also very good at talking to young women. Sometimes she can be a flirt, but only when she doesn?t have something on her mind (which is hardly ever.). Appearance: Steffanie stands and even 5?7?, and weighs 158 lbs. She isn?t skinny, or big-boned, but her muscles are tight and toned. Mostly she dresses for comfort, but will wear ?formal? is necessary. She has darkly tanned skin, with no trace of sunburn, and an oval face. She has a small, slightly upturned nose, and wide, high cheekbones. Her eyes are wide, and slanted, and a dark blue-green-grey color. She has thick black eyelashes, and long eyebrows that are smooth over her eyes, turning down at the ends. She has mid-back chestnut hair (dark brown-red with yellow-gold streaks), which is wavy and very thick. Steffanie often keeps it in a chignon or a braid, no bangs. She wears plenty of jewelry, but not so much that it gets in the way of her work. The jewelry varies ? except for one piece. It is a small rose-quartz crystal worn on a short chain around her neck, known to be her godmother?s before she died. On the same chain is a small locket, and what?s in it no one but she knows. Whew! >_< 0_0 >_< That was a lot? I put some work into that! ^_^ I hope this is okay, Dad. Tell me if much should be changed.

Radaghast
Name: Sam Tiller Age: 31 Position: Pilot Bio: Sam was born and raised a farm-boy in Wisconson. He did the same boring job, on the same boring farm, at the same boring place where he ate and slept. His school life was in fact, also boring. After all that boredom, he found some refuge: his car. His boring life picked up when he turned 16, finally getting a car, with some freedom thrown in on the side. Every night was packed with street races and cop chases. Rarely losing races and never getting arrested, Sam graduated from school, only to be stuck in a rut. He had no idea what he was going to do. Then, at his graduation party, he was invited into the Air Force. The idea wasn't sounding too good, that is until the officer told him the planes were fast. Sam enrolled and was shipped off to a base in Nebraska. After suffering slightly through boot, he started to push the envelope with what a person could do with an aircraft. After becoming a master in many planes, the higher authorities in the Force decided him worthy of testing experimental planes and space flights. He was put through very specialized training, he became a crack space-flight pilot. Soon he was selected for the Bladerunner mission. That was when his life changed in a dramatic way. He was exposed to things that warped his mind; at one point causing him to lose his sanity. He somehow recovered, mostly thanks to the help of a new-found love, Tex. She was the forensics investigator on the mission, and was the reason for the losing and regaining of Sam's control over his mind. After her death during the mission, Sam had attempted suicide. Most of that is contributed by the infection he had sustained from the 'demons'. Upon returning, Sam was locked inside of a debriefing for close to two days. It was cut short, however, by unusual symptoms he had been showing. He was rushed to the medical wing of the Air Force base, where it was discovered he had been infected by the demons. It was found quickly, and the tumor-like "hive" that was growing inside of him was painfully removed. During his hospital stay, Sam had a number of sexual affairs with his nurses. After the woman went to sleep, Sam would dye her hair brown, curl it, and take a red marker to her face; marking out all of Tex's wounds that had caused her death. The women would wake up, disoriented by their inability to see, until they found that Sam's shirt had been placed over their head. It seems some wounds never heal. Appearance: Five feet, five inches; 160 pounds. Sam gained some weight after the mission, and had let his blonde hair breach the boundaries of his crew-cut. Two comments: Sorry about the long Bio. I felt it necessary to expand Sam from my original Bio from the first BH. I also wanted to include some of the physical and psychological effects of the trip. Also, about the little disclaimer that KotR posted: Let's see who's guilty from the first one, shall we? Severe violence: Most everyone Language: Everyone Sexual Material: KotR, Raiha, Annie, and myself Gross examples of torture: Annie (some of those were awesome posts, by the way. Corey
I just want to say a few things before I post my own bio and list who's in. First, sweetreyes hasn't been seen for a while. Her character, Trini Angelos, will be played as a NPC and will not be killed off. If she does come back, please keep an eye out for her so that we can tell her what's up and let her take control of her chracter, Two, I'm really happy with everyone that signed up. Especially Radaghast. His Bio blew my mind and I think that he should be commended for it. *claps* ??? Name: Allen Chubb Age: 36 Gender: Male Specialty: Captain Bio: Allen was born into an extremely military family. His father had been in the Air Force and so it was only natural for him to follow in his steps. He had attained an extremely high rank and had been someone of much inportance. Allen didn't want to go, but that didn't matter either. From a young age Allen was kept in shape and drilled in the way of the Air Force cadet. Boot camp was a breeze for him. He'd already endured far worse things from his father. He got stationed on Luna 017 aboout three years into his career as a security officer and stayed there, loving the bitter grey terrain of the moon to death. When there was a sudden, and extremely unexpected depressurization of a portion of the base. Allen saved three people that didn't make it out with the crowd. He was bumped up a rank and transferred back to Earth as a show of gratitude. When back on Earth, he worked his *** off and made it all the way up to Captain. He was given his own ship, the Bladerunner, and began doing rescue and salvage missions for the Airforce out there in space. When he got the call for the Event Horizon salavge/rescue mission, he was hesitant. The rumors that plauged the original diaster were all too terrible to ignore. But it was his job, and he would follow orders. The mission turned out to be anything but normal. He lost seven members of his crew and his ship. The four of them that weren't killed, made it safely back to earth. But something didn't feel right. He assumed it was nothing more than shock from seeing so many horrble things... But then Rawson came and presented the new mission to him. He went back to his room and cried that night. He was afraid. No... Afraid isn't a powerful enough word. Allen was terrified. ??? Ok. Now for the fun part. Hinata
Name: Trini Angelos Age:31 Sex: Female Specialty: Medical Assistant Bio: Born to a middle class family, on the outskirts of Atlanta, GA. Trini has always been the one to care for the family. It was the gift of her heart and her caring that got her into Medical School. Got her out in less than 5 years. Got her working on many space stations and got her in a bad relationship, and on the mission that changed her life within the course of 30 years of her life. She looks back at it now today and can only laugh. Laugh at her smarts, laugh at the wits she used to problem solve and laugh at how stupid she was for being with him. 'Damn him,' Her **** up.... Only a week ago did she and three other survivors return from a mission to survey and recover the Event Horizon. A ship that had been disappearing and reappearing around Jupiter over the last 60 years. A ship that was inhabited by something. Something that only gave Trini nightmares on her sleep back to Earth and vivid memories of his face for the last week. But nevermind him. The only thing that Trini's laughing about now is how her week home is now looking to be another dark time of misery pain and death. Another mission. She didn't know whether to yell, cry, laugh, go crazy. All she could do was shrug her shoulders and leave the room. Leaving Allen, Sam and Van to wonder if whe was going to really come. 2AM: ALLEL CHUBBS' RESIDENCE * Phone rings multiple times before a male voice picks up* Allen: Hello A feminine laugh is heard through the phone before the syllables escape her mouth. Trini: When do we leave?
Revelation
Name: Gabriella Kim MacGuire Age: 32 Sex: Female Specialty: Weapons & Defense/ Security Bio: The first phrase to fall from such young lips was, "Don't **** with me or I will kick your ***." Such powerful words and crude language, yet even at a young age, Gabriella knew who she was and what she was capable of. She knew exactly what she wanted to do and how she would do it without even needing to the complete facts. It may seem naive and reckless, but to her, decisions need to be rational and quick, which is why her dream job was to become a member of either Air Force or SWAT. Her choice quickly went to the SWAT for her father was an Ex-Marine and her mother was once a Navy, so her choice was not towards Military life. Yet, behind that choice, Gabriella had to attend Military Academy, Boot Camp, and schools that would help her better define herself. She excelled in everything she had done, yet managed to prove herself worthy. It wasn't until soon enough she joined SWAT. As the years passed by, Gabriella had hardened herself and kept her distance from others. She kept to herself and rarely ever spoke unless given permission or if it was needed. She had became well respect and only on certain occasions has anyone ever angered her. But, a terrible, paining death had caused Gabriella such pain that she had to resign so that she could not hurt herself anymore. This death was the death of her parents. How they died was unknown and yet Gabriella could not forigve herself for what had happened. At the age of 25, she was asked to join the USAF. Knowing that she needed to experience the work again, she gladly accepted. She knew her father and mother would have wanted her to finish what she started and during the time she was with USAF, she found herself speaking with Lt. General Ana Thomas, a well renowned Air Force pilot, and Avlen Arboreal, a well-respected Ex-Marine, much like her father. Which brought Gabriella with a crew looking for the Event Horizon, a rescue/salvage ship stranded on one of the moons of Mars, specifically Deimos. An Ex-Marine father and an ex-Navy mother, great expectations were given to Gabriella and this opportunity for this child was great and her deceased parents would have greatly wanted her to join, to experience this majestic mission. And to fulfill their wishes, Gabriella accepted this mission and knew this to be her moment to clean her slate and start over new. What great adventrues would arise next? What dangers would face her on this mission? No one knows. No one knows.
Baron Samedi
Count me in as interested... Name: Jako [pronouced 'Yakko'] van der Westheisen. Sex: Male. Age:: Late thirties. Specialty: Earth Liaison Officer Bio: A South African born in Burmingham, England, Jako always enjoyed interacting with people. Whether it was in the classroom, at the mall, or on the sports-field...he was always friendly. As he grew older, and encountered more the coldness of age, he withdrew, but still had the capability to blossom. He studied at University for a degree in human psychology, and participated in the infamous Stanford Prison Experiment. He was charged with complicity to thwart the Geneva Convention, and given a 45 year jail term. He was in the exercise yard 17 months into his term... when three thugs attacked him. He almost died in the 22 seconds it took the guards to change over. The three men were all friends of one of the victims of the SPE, and were determined to inflict an iddentical level of brutality on Jako. He recuperated in solitary confinement for four and a half months after the incident. Shortly after that, he was given an offer by a surprise visitor, Airforce Colonel Hambrecht. Hambrecht worked for the USICA and required Jako [or more specifically, his world class psychology skills] to guard against the paranoid outbreaks incurrent among the first Black Horizon mission. He was also to be the Liaison Officer with the Airforce [and, unnofficially, USICA]. Jako accepted, gratefully. Anything to be out of prison. And really, he had no choice but to behave did he? Commandeering a spaceship was the last thing on his mind. Appearance: Dark hair, brown and kind of matted, and short. Slight widows peak forming already. He has a customarily pale face, with average features, and stark blue eyes. He is mildly strong and has fast reaction times. He has crows feet spreading from the corners of his eyes, but they are the lighter variety: more laughter than stress. His sense of humour is quick, and he has trouble maintaining a straight face when he is lying or joking. Sadly the past two years have left him with very little to laugh about. The guarantee of freedom when [if] he returns has inspired him though...inspired him to begin anew, even at his late age. He never shaves quite cleanly, and always has traces of brown stubble. Dresses for comfort rather than practicality. Though, he argues, if you're comfortable, you may as well be practical. * The Stanford Prison Experiment was an experiment into the brutality of humans...12 ordinary people were selected, six of them as guards and six as prisoners. With increasing doses of aggressive hormone mixes into the guards food, it soon turned messy. Eventually, through a successful breakout, news of this was brought to the world. ** Jako has the english translation to Jacob, or Jake. _____________ Corey, I have only now noticed the signups closed thing...please take a look at my signup anyway, would you? Corey
Why do you people do this to me? Constantly making me contradict myself. In the first Black Horizon it was Ms Reyes who signed up late and forced me to accept her. And this times it's The Baron waltzing in here and making a fool out of me by impressing me with such fine dancing. Signups are CLOSED. No one else! Sex: Male/Female Specialty: Communications, Medical, Rescue, etc. Think of stuff a spaceship or rescue crew would need. Bio: Remember, quality, not quantity. Andrew
Name: John “Ghost” Lars Age: 37 Sex: Male Speciality: Engineer Bio: Up to the present moment, and even before it, John’s life has been a blur. John was your average infant growing up in a small valley less than twenty miles from Wales capital City of Cardiff. John spent much of his young life drinking alcohol regularly with his friends, (which is the apparent reason for his terrible memory). Following in his brother’s footsteps John became an engineer on aeroplane and spacecraft engines. After recovering from alcoholism and marrying his girl friend since School, John was delighted to discover that his beautiful wife was pregnant with his first child; his daughter. Doing pretty well in his craft, as well as leading an amazing family life, John eventually ended up on Deimos despite not wanting to leave his family. John spent several months in the vile place until he received news that his wife had suffered a miscarriage and died along with the child. As with his early life, John resorted to alcohol to soothe himself and eventually locked the grief away in his mind and continued with his time on Deimos. John’s apparent lack of a short term memory gets him trouble often and he usually slips his way out of it with his charming smile and witty sense of humour. After the loss of his budding family, John became a little destructive and his humour became more blunt and sarcastic and he hardly ever had a smile other than when he maliciously took joy in the misfortune of others. Up until recently John knew nothing of Dr. Weir, the Event Horizon and all other rescue missions involved. He’s about to be rudely awakened. Lately, things have been going wrong in the Deimos Colony. People disappearing for months at a time and then returning with no memory of what happened, some not even believing that they had disappeared. Then one person turned up as a long since burned corpse chained to the wall of his apartment. That was when everything went wrong. ‘They’ were on the colonists before they knew what hit them. People started appearing in the most horrific of ways and in the most random of places. While everyone else fears for their lives, John however welcomes whatever lurks in the darkness as he believes that he will be reunited with his wife and unknown daughter. Appearance: John has fairly pale skin and the under side of his eyes are a dirty brown colour earning him his nickname of “ghost”. John is of a muscular build and prides himself on his body. He weighs around just over 190lbs and is about 5’10”. His eyes are dark shade of hazel and the glare in them gives the impression that John could look into a person’s soul just by staring at them. John usually goes unshaven for weeks on end leaving him with a rather impressive Beard. John has short, light brown hair which is always spiked completely vertical. John usually wears his overalls, even when not working, and always carries his tool belt with his “emergency bitter” attached to it.
Guest The Pro
Name: Jitters Monkey (Not realy name) Age: 35 Specialty: Mechanique Appearance: Small and of a heavy build, he is always greasy couse he is always working in small greasy areas, he has a blue jump-suit, which is open at the top, and has a blue bandana covering his bald head. He has darkish skin, and is quite fat. Bio: Jitters was hired to go on Diemos Colinazation becouse he was a talented mechaniuqe and a hard worker. he lived a normal life. He was actualy fixing a small vent when things went crazy, so he wasent around to see everything, and came out side to find his partner hacked to pieces, and blood and body-parts everywhere. He is terrifed. He dose not wanna die on the stinking hell hole thast is Diemos, so, now, he is triyng his best to survive and get to a starport, from hiding in lockers in danger, to beating the crap out of these... these... He was fired from his job for... well... having sex with a hooker in the garage. He is a strogne man so he can defend himself, but he is also quite peace-loving and dosent like to fight unless he has to, which he often dose. Some people were going completly crazy, some people who were sent on special missions in experemntal Teleportation research have come back... well.. mad... there eyes are white... and there hair falls out... they dont even seem... human anymore. Jitters thoguht it was all a hox, and through the notion aside, but latly... people have been going missing, and the vents stink of death, so the notion of somthing like this... it keeps coming back into his brain. Unrest has kept him from sleep in several days, and he can swaer somthing bad was coming, seems he was right. (sorry for my mis-use of past-tense future-tense, i was rushed) Though he has no idea what is going on, he is determined to survive it.
Corey
Majin, you are accepted. However, Pro, you are not. Your grammer and spelling are sub-par to what is expected in this RPG. A glance at the prior signups would have made that clear. I'm still looking for one colonist.
