When Humans are the Enemy

*ticks of fingers* Solo, Raiha, Me, terra, Boba. Okay, that's everybody who has posted semi-recently.

Well.....within a reasonable amount of time. Or something.

A few points about what is going on.
Ben, Crystal, Jedgar, and Rena are all at the entrance to the cavern where the human base is located.

Alaris is slowly stumbling towards the Capital to obtain reinforcements. Of what nature they may be is undecided.

Neoclone and Yoda's characters are considered NPC's by now, and are stationed at the Bird Dwelling.

The Sense Leader, Grim, is leading the Sensers through the caves towards a smaller human outpost where the psychic dampener is located.
Some things to think about....

Does anybody have any ideas as to what Ben and the rest are to do while they wait for Alaris? >_>;;

What sort of clones should Alaris call for, if not some massive combined force? (The massive combined force could work too. :p)

Crystal left a large force of bird-clones on the planet's surface, are we just going to leave them there? Or can we do something with them?

The Sense Leader and his small army will overcome the human outpost and get their powers back. Ben's will be restored as well. There will be three big contenders of psychic power; Grim, Ben, and Kione. Grim and Ben are on the same side, though, which puts Kione at a disadvantage should he be alone.

The Sensers are much more skilled with their psychic abilities than the humans. Mostly, the humans use telekinesis to force things to move, or to simply focus force in a given direction. The clones are adept at playing mind games and various forms of shielding, as well as the telekinesis.

I've worked out a way where the human psychics can still use their powers and the clones can't, unfair as it may seem. The psychics have weak powers of their own, as the result of genetic tampering and hyper-induced evolution. The real strength behind their abilities lies in the neuro-implants they have on various regions of their brains. A small attachment at the head of their spine (or base of the neck) shields them from the dampener's nullifying wave. The attachments are imperfect, though, and will fail every now and then.

I'm opening this RPG to any and all ideas. I can see that it's nearing the end of player participation, but I just don't know where and how to end it. I could really use some input. Ten pages is too long to simply let it die out. =P

Oh ... I thought the Sense leader was heading towards the same human base as the majority of our happy crew.

I have to say I didn't want Alaris to go alone, by the way, but by the two months later when I got to the thread, it was decided for me :p.

What exactly is going on at the human base where Ben, Rena, and Crystal are, anyway? Are the humans still inside? Is there any way the Sense leader and his troupe could be heading toward the same base ... in which case we could join with them and have a point ahead of us (to destroy the psychic dampener)? I know the human base is probably huge, but it would give us something to do, a sort of smaller attack to weaken them a little bit.

If you don't want to go that route, there's really not much Ben, Rena, and Crystal can do, unless we were to try to do some sort of reconnaissance or something. Which would be a little difficult as we're pretty easy to spot.
I have to say I didn't want Alaris to go alone, by the way, but by the two months later when I got to the thread, it was decided for me :p.
Heh, sorry about that ^_^;

I felt I was being a bit slow in actually getting to the Capital- my next post was going to be Alaris actually arriving and having an argument with some of the Elders about sending more troops down.

In the mean time, there's still all the other clones fighting the humans at the front- are they winning or losing the battle right now, or has it evolved into a sort of stalemate until either side brings across more troops? There are only so many beings to kill, heh.

I'd expect the humans (unless Kione was too arrogant about his own abilities) to have some kind of reinforcements nearby as a backup in case things did get incredibly hairy (Hah). Perhaps even a missile silo from which to launch a strike?

Now that you've mentioned it terra, having the psychic dampener at the same base that Crystal and them are all at already would be a great idea. We'll do that. :p

Ummm....the humans are stationed there threateningly. ^_^;; Honestly, I didn't have any specific plans in mind for them. They could be a foothold for more human forces to enter the caves, or they could just be a reconnaissance place. It hasn't really been determined.

Are the humans still inside?

Yes, and there are more of them there than before. A relief force composed of Kione and his psychics intervened while the armadillo and chameleon and fox-clone forces were attacking. For the sake of convenience, let's just say they came through the tunnels behind the base, broke through the clone forces, and took back the base from the tenuous hold of the clones. All the clones in the base were either killed or got themselves out. They're now back in the tunnels behind the base, waiting for further instruction and taking potshots at the humans on the base's perimeter.

Is there any way the Sense leader and his troupe could be heading toward the same base ... in which case we could join with them and have a point ahead of us (to destroy the psychic dampener)?

Yeah, we'll do it that way. :D

Okay, first thing's first. The psychic dampener has to go. While it is in place, Kione and his troupe of psychics can pretty much run the battle however they please. As soon as the Sensers can use their powers again, the tide will turn to the extreme. The Sensers' attention will shift to counteracting the psychics and the rest of the clones can attack without any psychic interference. Humans don't have much in the way of armor or close-range fighting, so if any force of clones gets in hand-to-hand combat with the humans, the clones will surely win. The first step for them is to get past the laser barrage, which is the humans' standard tactic.

Human reinforcements will assuredly be coming from somewhere at sometime, so feel free to play with that a bit. The cave scorpions are pretty much out of the picture for the moment, as we've probably wiped out half the population so far. >_>;;

Any more of anything can be discussed right here. I'm off to post, or something.
