"Juche is a philosophical idea that man is the master if everthing and decides everything. In other words, it is the idea man is the master of the world and his destiny..."

There is a legend, spreading threw out much of the orient. The origin of this legend seems to take its roots in the mythos of the Tibetan mountians and holy monistaries. The legend seems to be as ancient as the emergence of civilization. The legend has many titles, the most popular of which being "The Soul". The legends starts, with the birth of a boy, who as he grew, showed powers far beyond that of any normal human, as if gifted by the heavens. Aswell, as they boy grew into a man, he began showing the traits of a hero. Galant and brave, just and strong willed. Once old enough, the boy became a hero in his own right. Protecting and helping all those in need, regardless of personal gain or even saftey. The first true hero. The now man used his grand and mysterious powers to their fullest, for the cause of good and justice. And he was forever known as a hero.

As the legend states, time passed on. The hero grew old, and eventually his body died. But it is said, that instead of assending to the welcome gates of Heaven, the hero's soul stayed on Earth, to inhabit the body of another child, and a new hero for the next generation. A soul so dedicated to justice, it stayed on Earth instead of passing on. The legend says that generation after generation, and body after body, the Soul passed itself on, gaining more and more power threw the centuries. It is said that the Soul of the hero still wanders Earth, searching for a new body to inhabit, and a new hero to create...

At least, that is the legend....

New York, New York

It was a crisp and windy winter morning in Central Park. The snow was hard and crystalized on the curbs and side walks of the concrete jungle that is New York City. Laying limp and covered with rags and paper, was a young man, a teenager on a park bench. He huddled himself into a tight ball for warmth and protection from the biting wind as the sun rose on the horizon of the city, and the tall buildings cast their first shadow. Soon enough, a passing police officer strolled over the sleeping boy, watching his breath turn into visible steam as it entered the air. The police man prodded the boy with a night stick lazily. The boy simply tossed his body a bit a continued to slumber. Eventually, the officer jabbed the boy in the ribs with the club, "Wake up, boy!" he called out loudly. The young man sat up a bit, looking up to the police officer, his eyes clenched and tired, sheilding the bright sun. "Well good morning. I'm gonna count to five, and your gonna be outta my sight." At that, the boy yawned loudly and rubbed his eyes, sleeply reaching under the bench and grabbed an old shopping bag full of ragged clothes. He dragged the bag up to himself and brushed the newspaper from his legs. Then stepping up, the boy was off, the police officer staring at him with a snide look and a raised eyebrow.

The teenage boy continued on his side walk journey, still yawning and rubbing away the awaking tears of sleep. He scratched his scruffy and greasy hair roughly and coughed, walking as though he were a clumsy zombie. The boy wandered the streets for several hours with no apparent point of interest, but always, always holding his bag closely. It wasn't until late afternoon after the sun had began setting, that the boy began circling a particular area, close around a particularly large convenience store, busy with customers. The teen's eyes were shifty, just as the passer byes who saw him, many raising eyebrows. Finally, the cutsomers began dissapating away from the store, and the young man stopped strolling back and forth. He then went into a small, deserted back alley, and opened his bag of clothes. Out he pulled a ragged, old trench coat made of dirty, brown pleather and a long, black scarf. Pulling over his hands greasy black gloves, the young man switched around the corner and stepped in front of the door of the convencience store. He placed his hand on the door handle and his hands began billowing out what was seemingly steam rising from his hands, aswell, steam billowed from the back of his neck and his face. Cracking the door open, he spoke on sentence, "Time to go to work..."

This RPG will be taking place in the famous Marvel Comics "Ultimates" universe, meaning the coolness that comes with Spider Man, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, The Daredevil, The Punisher, Nick Fury, Luke Cage, and all of them. The story is based around the different superheroes (and villains) coping with a new kid on the block with a mysterious power, and even more mysterious origins. The only thing really known about the new fighter is that he is young, and has a nasty vendetta against the Korean Underworld in New York, and the tighs they have with the Villains of the Marvel U., and apparently the one man who runs all crime in New York City. The new hero seems to be on the good side, but this is not know to all due to his questionable practices, such as killing those he fights, or atleast, intending to. The new character, who's nick name, according to him, is "Juche", a Korean word for the man who masters his destiny, as the heroes eventually find out. But as the heroes come to deal with the new guy, the eventually find themselves on a road to taking down one of, if not the, biggest crime lord in all of New York and all those who he employs.

This is where the immediate recruiting comes into play. Instead of original or spun on characters, I want the participators to take the roles of real Marvel characters. Heroes and Villains (I'd rather there be more heroes). There will be one customized villain, but I want the person who takes this role to PM me first, so that I may give them the rules of this character, and who he/she is exactly to the story. If you are not acute on the Marvel Universe's "Ultimates" characters, I suggest you check out this website:

http://www.marvel.com/universe/index.htm

This will allow you to select whatever hero you wish as long as their based in New York, which is a pretty large crowd. The X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four, and all the other heroes listed above are just a few.

Now as for the initial flow of this RPG, I will be implementing the Chapter System (titled Issue Sysem for this Comic Book RPG) made popular by Kill Adam. I will be posting who are to post, the guidelines of what to post, at what times they are to post, and how much they should post. This will make sure that the RPG does not die down. It will also insure that people will not get jumbled in confused post and they will not get writer's block, because of the guidelines. If you just go with the flow, not only will we have fun, but we will also insure a successful RPG (a rariety here). And on that note, here are the sign ups.

There were two things I forgot to say. One, is that I need you guys to include how the new superhuman in New York is effecting your character. The second thing is that I need someone to play Spider-Man, because he will be a major role in the RPG. So, you should be ready to play a big role if you select him. Oh, and Galv, go ahead and keep the one you have, it'll give him more motivation to be involved with mafia crimes.

Thanks,
