Che
Last night, I had stayed up almost all night trying to perfect arpg storyline that I had just thought up. I'm nearly there, it seems good (the storyline) but it just seems to me like something's missing. I'm also worried that nobody would sign up, just as anyone else would be. I'll post my storyline right now, but I really need suggestions on how to make it better. (The main theme, by the way, is skateboarding) Skateboarding was a big thing in those big cities, full of poverty and drugs, and other things of the type. You'd actually be hard-pressed to find a single person who hasn't at least once rode a skateboard. Kids and teenagers always had conversations about who was the best pro skater, or which was the hardest move to pull. No matter where you went, it seemed as though skateboarding was a fad that wouldn't die out. Only problem was, it was a fad that was almost almost completly followed by trendseekers, who only followed what was said to be hot and hip. Soon, though, the trendseekers forgot about skateboarding. They started to switch to other sports like rollarblading and snowboarding. They didn't think skateboarding was cool enough for them anymore. After the trendseekers had left, the only ones who remained were the diehard skaters who still aspired to be professional skateboarders. Well, those who stayed loyal ot the sport and still thought they were as good as pro got their chance to prove it when a announcement was heard about a new Skate Competition. They said any skater was welcomed to cpmpete, and all the pros would be their as well, competing. Turned out their only problem was that the competition was being held in Miami, Florida, and skaters these days were almost always low on cash. So, in other words, skaters from across the country have to make their way to the skate competition in Miami and prove their worth as pros. Then their carrer as pros would begin. I suppose it follows the storyline (sort of) of Tony Hawks Underground. But I really really think its missing something important, but just not visible to me. So I'm counting on you guys' suggestions to help make this seem actually right! Also, could you guys tell me if it would be a good idea or not? Because I don't want to open another failing sign-up...Thanks!!
Bullet Theory
I think what you have now is a great idea. A skating RPG is a wonderful idea in my eyes. I have been hoping one would surface for sometime now. So, yeah I think that you have a great RPG in the works.
erinzyger
Yea, really Mai_Minase, this sounds like a fun story to do. I don't know what you see wrong with it. I think if you want to add some twist to it, you could always wait until the players have actually started posting and I'm sure something will eventually come to you. It'd be cool if you would put this one up because it sounds real cool and I'd like to join. -erinzyger
DDG
The story sounds really well thought out, Mai. I really can't see anything wrong with it, but I do have the feeling, like you do, that there is something missing. What erinzyger said was a pretty good idea: adding a twist to the story once it had already begun. What that twist could be is up to you really. I'm sure that people will sign up for the RPG. Its really good. ^_^ Plus its not like there have really been a mass quantity of skateboard RPG's lately, so it'll be something new for people to sign-up for. The best of luck to you with it, if you do decide to go through with it, and I'll post in this thread some other time if I come up with what might be 'missing'. -Ouka
