I started work on this RPG in early April if memory serves and abandoned it about a fortnight afterwards due to an awful case of writer's block. I'd like to point out that this still requires work which is why I've posted it here, I'm going to omit the Sign Up section and the Rules but I'll leave Information as it's relevant but it is also where I need the help. I'd advise you to read the storyline first and then go to the end where I'm going to outline exactly where I need help but it's really up to yourself.

The battle had finally ended... the enemy of all slain, and it was now an odd time on Planet Zi. For the first time in years there were no shots fired... there was no conflict... there was no death or destruction... there was peace and tranquillity. With the final defeat of the both the Death Saurer and the Death Stinger, and the death of those who would cause such destruction, all the people of planet Zi were to finally know peace. It was nice not having to live in fear, not having to constantly worry about one's safety as would have been done before. For the first time there was no difference between an Imperial and or a Republican, they were all just people of the Planet Zi. Both nations, the Helic Republic and the Guylos Empire decided that war now had no place on Zi and that both nations should demilitarise most of their armies. Many Zoid pilots were horrified at this prospect, for them it had never been about war, it had been about the combat, Pilot and Zoid together as one awesome weapon, a weapon that only the worthy could possess and use.

However other Zoid pilots saw this as a relief, they saw that fact that they would no longer be responsible for the deaths of other normal people in the name of some government or sovereign. It was decided though that something had to be done for the sake of those who were unhappy about what was going to transpire. So the head of Imperial Security, Marshal Karl Schubaltz and the Commander of the Helic Armed Forces, General Robert Hermann met to discuss the problem but they could find no solution. They announced that these soldiers would just have to accept what was going to occur with the dignity and loyalty that they had shown all throughout their military career. Now there were no Zoid Battles, those who once knew what it felt like to be in control of a Zoid regaled others with their tales and become little more than storytellers and not warriors as they once were. Pilots like Van Flyheight and Thomas Schubaltz found themselves working either in the be bureaucratic end of the military or entering themselves as political representatives of the new cities being built across the face of the planet.

This time, however the will of the many would be enough to over power the will of the few, and bring to an end combat all across on Zi. Though some of the pilots were still saddened about being unable to use Zoids the vast majority of those on Zi were more than happy to allow these destructive weapons to rust and fall into disrepair so that they would be unable to cause harm again. The Helic Republic and the Guylos Empire were busy attempting to rebuild their lands after the devastation at the hands of the Death Stinger, practically all of New Helic City had been reduced to rubble and the area made uninhabitable. What followed could be described as a time of rebirth and renewal on Zi, comparable to the Renaissance in early Earth history, all of what was destroyed was rebuilt... and more. The cities in Gylos and Helic were more splendid and wonderful than on anywhere on the planet, truly humanity had endured it's suffering of before and come back more powerful than could have been hoped...

By Earth Standard Time the year would have been 2178, this was to mark the beginning of a change that would leave Zi unrecognisable to the eyes of those who were old enough to live long enough to see it. During the next two centuries there was much upheaval on Zi, as was expected the Nations known as the Helic Republic and the Guylos Empire were broken up into a much smaller confederation of neighbouring states. These states went on to create a confederacy known as United Federation of Zi which was to help create trade links between each nation. Though Zoids schematics were still located in military databases there was still a complete ban on their construction in any of the new states. However on July 20th 2279 it was decided that a Zoids ban was harsh and that it would be receded and replaced with a ban on only the most powerful and destructive Zoids. The motion by the United Federation of Zi to recreate these machines was passed with no objections since it had been over two hundred since the first ban had been implemented and it was accepted that humanity had evolved since then...

And so the military schematics on almost every Zoid were made available to different specialised machinery labs across Zi that would be contracted to produce Zoids for personal usage. In these military files were also detailed schematics on Organoids and although that had been unable to recreate the small Zoids back then, thanks to the technological advancements of the last two hundred years it was possible although incredibly difficult to create these mysterious creatures. And so Zoids returned to the face of Zi, at first it was debated that they should remain only in the hands of the military alone and that civilian use could be dangerous. Slowly however individuals wealthy enough to afford the construction of their Zoids were permitted to use them for entertainment purposes. Soon the cost of a Zoid was lowered to such a level that it was available to most of the general public, this was to be the beginning of Zoid Combat.

Five years later the first official tournament was to be held, veterans, professionals and amateurs have placed their reputations and skills on the line to be crowned champion...

Extra Info:

This section deals with the geography of Zi and well as the nations therein, it took quite a while to write and I would be appreciative if people would read this thoroughly before posting a sign up. Also note that the geography of Zi will be different than maps provided on other sites, this is due to human expansion and I will be providing a map as soon as possible.

Zi as it is today - Zi today is very different as it appears in both Zoids: Guardian Force but also as it appears in Zoids: New Century Zero. Zi is far higher populated with an estimated population of 90 million inhabitants across the face of the planet, there is still some area left naturally where forests and grasslands can be seen and this is estimated at roughly 35% of the entire landmass. The rest of this land is either covered in the urban areas of cities or towns; about 80% of the population of Zi leave in these metropolitan areas. Travelling between cities is accomplished through either the network of underground trains, usage of planes or such air-based vehicles, use of land based vehicles or ships to cross the blue oceans of Zi. Zoids are rarely used as a method of transport since the above mentioned methods are faster and more reliable.

Continents of Zi - There are 5 main continents across the face of Zi and home to it's 90 million inhabitants, they are:

Median - Central continent of Zi and home to 5 nations, it was home to the Helic Republic and the Guylos Empire at one time also. Median is known for it’s Mediterranean style climate and it's typically warm and sunny weather.

Europa - Eastern continent it has been described as the "Old World" due to it's large number of archaeological digs and ancient buildings, it is home to 4 of the Nations of Zi. Its weather patterns are consistent, usually dry and warm but with rain occurring more frequently than other continents, it is also slightly colder than Median.

Bellicose - The north-western continent, Bellicose has been given its name because of the now dormant volcanic mountains to its south-western coast, which have not erupted in about 400 years. It was known for it's numerous Hot Springs and snow capped mountains, it is quite a popular holiday destination and is home to 3 of Zi's nations.

Quiescent - The south-western continent Quiescent is the polar opposite to it's brother continent of Bellicose, it is known for is rugged, yet scenic beauty and natural attraction, as such is home to only 2 nations of Zi. It is also home to Zi largest mount known as Mount Titan, roughly 9,000m in height.

Amalgam - Located in the south-south-eastern section of the globe, about 100 or so miles from Europa it is Zi's most mineral rich continent, responsible for much of the heavy mining and processing of the materials required for Zoid and other Heavy Industry construction. It is hope to only a single nation with stretches across the entire continent and regulates the mining and processing operations.

Nations of Zi - These countries are the end result of both the break up of the Helic Republic and the Guylos Empire and the colonisation and expansion on the other continents of Zi. There are 18 in total each ranging in population density and size and form of government, the largest of these being Atlas and the smallest being Draconis. A list of the nations follows:

Atlas - Largest and most populated of all the states of Zi, Atlas with it's capital Atlasia is home to about 12 million of Zi's inhabitants. Atlas is in the centre of Median, taking up roughly half of what was known as the Helic Republic. Atlas is almost entirely covered it the metropolitan area of it's capital Atlasia though there is some natural areas left as parks in it's surrounding environment. Technologically Atlas is one of the most advanced states containing many labs and manufacturing facilities to which it owes much of it's revenue. It is also home to the headquarters of the United Federation of Zi. Atlas is the largest Zoid producing state constructing 20% of all Zoids and 14% of all Zoid parts. Prime Minister Malcolm Kane in the last year of a 5-year term in office and is running for re-election later this year.

Halla - Bordering Atlas to the north Halla is a medium sized state, it's capital is Kelf and the nation is home to about 5 million of Zi's inhabitants. Kelf is one of the few remaining monarchies of Zi and is ruled over by its sovereign King Walter Krueger an actual descendant of the legendary Colonel and later President of the Helic Republic. Halla has been described as the most architecturally beautiful of all the States, priding itself on it's traditional styles of ancient Zi. However coupled with this traditional styling is an advanced population with access to the latest conveniences, Kelf produced approx. 8% of Zoids and 10% of Zoid parts.

If you've had the patience to keep reading I thank you, I hope you like it as with some help I should have it finished in a fortnight of so.

The main help I need it with the States of Zi themselves, there are 14 on my last count as such each needs a description like the ones given above for Halla and Atlas. It has to deal with such things as the main city, population, technological advancement, industries and what their Zoids production and Parts percetage is. The names need to reflect both the country but also the continent, the super-state of Amalgam for example would be home to much heavy industry and as such would be more industrial looking in description.

Art work would also be much appreciated, this could range from Backgrounds to Banners but all would be appreciated. A concept map of Zi would be greatly appreciated as it would save me the time of trying to design it. I hope you've enjoyed reading this as much as I laboured to create it.

I do remember you sending me this idea a while ago Gav and I say what I said then. It's a good idea and I'm glad your thinking about putting it up seeing as it's been quite a while since there was a decent Zoid-RPG in the Square but I've got a few questions. Will the Zoid combat be team based or will it be individual pilots squaring off?

As for the continents I would love to help you with the names but I'm a little busy right now but keep me in mind incase you need some help ^_~
I do remember you sending me this idea a while ago Gav and I say what I said then. The combat will all be Individual as team-combat has a tendency to get a little nasty when there are 10 on one team and 2 on another, an idea I'm playing about with is that although it will be individual pilots in combat it may not be merely One on One. This will allow people to be flexible, in a match of 4 or even 8 Zoids for example there would be ample chances for some tag-teaming to come into effect.

One other thing I may have neglected to mention is the fact that Organoids will be handed out as prizes in some of the more illustrious tournaments, though they won't be domesticated right from the start and it will take some effort to tame them. Combat will be arranged in a number of tournaments (a lá A Knight's Tale) so that the same people and NPCs may not compete in every tournament. For example if your Zoid is trashed in a one tournament it'll take some time to get it back up to standards, in which time you may have been too late to participate in another tournament.

For Example:

Bill's Iron Kong is trashed in the Atlasia City Tournament Finals.

It takes him 2 weeks to have all the repairs completed.

In that time the Kelf City Tournament has begun and he is too late to enter.

One last thing is that people will only be allowed a maximum of two Zoids at a time, though if your Zoid is trashed beyond repair (as will be determined by the Judge refereeing the match) you will have to purchase another one (no such thing as a free ride in this RPG). The Judge for each match will be Myself or in the event I'm in that match it will be decided by someone neutral or possibly by voting though I'll take any other suggestions.

As for names Bill I'm quite thankful, any you have would be graciously appreciated, if you've thought of any or written up some please post them here. Well that's me all done here so if anyone else has anything to say I'd be happy to hear it.
