She stared at him and smiled. "You need some rest. You're tired."

"I'm fine, I don't want to sleep."

She knew he was afraid of the dreams he would have if he slept. "Heero, you'll be easy prey for that gang if you're half asleep. I'll stay with you. You'll be fine. But you need some rest. Please Heero.."

He shook his head. "You have to go to the nurses office. You haven't recovered yet Kelsey."

She bit her lip. "I don't want to. I want to stay with you."

"I'll come with you then. But you have to be near the nurses if something happened."

She smiled. "Alright, I'll let you win this one. But one night is all. I'm not going to stay there tomorrow."

"We'll let the doctors decide that." Heero said as he smiled.

Kelsey took his hand and they walked to the nurses office.

The nurses were running frantically around the hospital. Kelsey started to worry as everyone was screaming orders at one another.

"What's going on?" she whispered to Heero.

Heero grabbed a nurse's arm. "What in the hell is going on here??" he demanded

"Mr. Nagato had been drugged. He's going crazy. Please, wait in the rooms until we can assist one of you."

Heero stared in the direction of the room where the Doctors were surrounded in.

"HOLD HIM!! BIND HIS ARMS! DON'T LET HIM MOVE!"

Kelsey stared in disbelief, they had gotten to Mr. Nagato.

And Heero was next.

Heero ran down the hall to where they held Mr Nagato, Kelsey followed right behind him

He pushed through the crowd and found Mr Nagato wrestling with the doctors, Mr Nagato suddenly jumped up at Heero knocking him to the floor, he held a seringe in his hand and was trying to stab it into Heero

'NO!, Not this time!,' screamed Kelsey as she kicked it out of mr Nagato's hands, Mr Nagato suddenly jumped at Kelsey who let out a scream as Mr Nagato clenched her neck tightly, Heero ripped Mr Nagato off her and slammed him against the wall and started beating him with closed fists

'Heero!!,' exclaimed Hakaruu as him, Lex, Cat and Kita ran towards them, Cat and Kita stopped beside Kelsey while Hakaruu and Lex persuded Heero, They grabbed Heero around the arms, but Heero was already wild and he threw hakaruu and Lex off, Hakaruu was slammed against the wall and Lex hit the ground hard

Hakaruu saw the rage and fury in Heero's eyes as he ran towards Mr Nagato

'That's it boy,' laughed Mr Nagato pshycotically, 'Let loose...Let the hunger burn!!!,'

Heero ripped Mr Nagato up off the ground and they began going at each other punch for punch

'It's the serums in both of them...It's making them go mad!!!,' exclaimed Cat, 'We have to stop them before they tear each other apart,'

Hakaruu tried to pull heero away but heero turned around and smashed him across the face drawing blood from his lip as was sent back into Cat who caught him

'Thats it i'm not stopping them!,' said hakaruu in dismay as he wiped the blood from his mouth

'We have to!!,' exclaimed Kelsey as she stood up and tried to run towards them but was pulled back

'No!,' exclaimed Hakaruu as they grabbed Kelsey

'Heero!!,' she screamed as Heero was thrown against the wall,

'Your mother...she enjoyed every moment,' laughed Mr Nagato, Heero's eyes turned cold and a rush of fury pulsed through his veins as he then rushed towards Mr Nagato and put his hands around his neck, they both stumble backwards towards the window

'No stop!!!,' screamed Kelsey but it was too late, Both heero and Mr Nagato crashed through the window, 'NOOOO'

'Oh god!!!,' gasped the others as the all ran to the window, it was as if everything had slowed down as they watched Heero and Mr Nagato fall from three stories high down to the ground

Within that moment Heero looked into the eyes of Mr Nagato

'Please forgive me for everything that i'm going to do...' whispered Mr Nagato with tears in his eyes and suddenly they hit the ground hard.

'Heero!!,' called the others as they ran down stairs, Kelsey was the first at Heeros side, she looked around and saw that Mr Nagato had gone

'Heero?...Heero please be ok,' she cried as she rolled him over, she noticed that he wasn't breathing, 'Heero!!!,' she screamed as the others crowded around at that moment he gasped and his eyes opened

'Oh shit...' he groaned as he slowly rolled over and began coughing

'Oh Heero...you idiot,' she sighed in relief and so did the others

'Where's...Mr Nagato,' Heero struggled to say as he looked around

'He's gone,' whispered Kelsey

'Dammit...' he cringed as he slowly got up onto his knees, Nurses and doctors ran out with a stretcher and medical supplys and were confused to see Heero sitting up

'Heero we need to get you inside,' said the doctor

'No, I'm fine,' growled Heero as Kelsey and Mr Alastine helped him up

'But we need to...' spoke the doctor but was cut off

'NO!,' roared Heero as he cringed at the pain, 'touch me with your medical bits and I'll throttle you!!'

They realised that the serum still had some control over him by the wild look in his eyes and the way he rebelled against nearly everything...the others wondered if the serum was slowly taking over but Kelsey knew in her heart that Heero wouldn't let it..and she was going to make sure it didn't

"Stop saying that! We need to get you inside."

"I can't have them look at me. Nagato's reaction would be the same as mine if someone tried pumping the drug out of me. It's making me crazy Kelsey. I can't make it go away."

"Then at least get some rest. You won't find any here. Go back to your room. I'll stay here. Get a good nights sleep. You need your strength for tomorrow. Please."

Heero's body ached from the fall. He knew he needed rest. But to leave Kelsey alone was something he couldn't do. "I left you alone once, I'm not going to do it again. Not when things are this complicated."

Kelsey stood there looking at him. "What did he tell you?"

"He asked me to forgive him for what he's about to do. He's planning something. And it's not against me. It's against you."

"How can you be sure?"

He looked down. "I just do. It's this drug. I'm fighting it, but it's trying to control me. It's trying to make me do something, but I'm ignoring it. The drugs made me hurt you. What if they're telling Nagato to hurt you as well?"

"Heero, we'll cross that bridge when it comes. For now, we need to rest."

"I'm not leaving you."

"You can't sit in a chair all night." she pointed out

Lex walked forward. "Heero, there are extra beds on the main floor. You can sleep there. If anything is wrong with Kelsey, you'll be the first to know. But she's right. You do need your rest."

Heero stared at Kelsey for a long time. "Alright. But if there is the slightest noise, you contact the nurses immedietly.

"I promise." she smiled.

Heero walked inside and made sure Kelsey was situated and made his way to the main floor. He went in the room and saw it was empty.

Hakaruu stepped in.

"I want to be alone."

"Well you'll be alone if you keep this up."

"What are you talking about?" Heero didn't feel lke talking.

"We're the only friends you've got. I suggest you show a little more trust that we're looking out for your interests."

"Well I'm truly touched. Don't forget to close the door on your way out."

Hakaruu shook his head. "It's amazing Kelsey loves you. You're not making her life any easier by shunning away those who are trying to help you two."

Hakaruu turned around and left, but didn't bother closing the door.

Heero stood by the window and stared.

A nurse walked by his room. "Is there anything I can help you with?" she asked

Heero didn't turn around, "Make sure this room stays empty. And if you hear screams from this room, dismiss them, I don't want to be disturbed."

The nurse nodded. "Understood. I'll let the rest of the staff know." she left Heero and closed the door.

Heero stood and looked out the window. He couldn't find it in himself to sleep. Something wasn't right.

Kelsey walked to her bed, she was finally able to go sleep. The nurse had put small bandages on her neck to stop the bleeding from infection. She would take them off in the morning before Heero would see her. She didn't want to remind him of anything that had happened today.

She knelt her head on her pillow and pulled the covers to her chin. It was cold...

The window... Heero had closed it before he left. But now it was open...

"What do you want." she said quietly.

She heard laughter. "I want you to listen good and hard missy. And don't be afraid. I'm not going to hurt you."

"I've heard that before." she said unmoving.

He laughed again. "I'm too old for you little girl. You're simply not my type. I just want you to listen."

She didn't move. She wanted information. And she was hoping Mr. Nagato would give her something to go on.

"You and Heero are obviously close."

"You're point?" she said sternly.

"Pipe down. I'm doing the talking. You answer questions. That's the only time you speak."

She was quiet. But she was getting annoyed.

"Now like I said, you mean a lot to Heero. That wasn't a part of the plan. You can either back away quietly, and let your boyfriend live, or you can die with him. It's up to you now whether or not you live. I'll give you until tomorrow morning. If you're not gone, then I'm afraid you'll have to die. And that goes for Heero as well if he doesn't behave."

"I'm not afraid to die Nagato. If I leave him, I'm as good as dead."

"We're not talking about your life girl, we're talking about Heero's. He'll die as well. Do you want that? With you gone, and make sure you don't make it look as if we're responsible of course, he'll have nothing else to feel attached to. He'll join us without a fuss, and live a long normal life. Don't you think that's better than death?"

Kelsey was quiet. She didn't know what to think anymore.

"I'll let you think about it. And remember, don't let him think we took you. I hate being blamed for something I didn't even do." he laughed and jumped out the window.

Kelsey laid still in her bed. She didn't know what to think anymore. She couldn't leave Heero. She didn't want to. But everything went wrong when she came into the picture. At least if he knew she was safe, and she was going away, he'd be okay and not worry about her.

Tears fell from her eyes and soaked her pillow. She didn't want to leave, but there was nothing else she could do. She didn't want to be responsible for his death. She had no choice now.

"Damn them. Damn them all." she whispered. They ruined her life. They forced her to go away. After everything they had gone through, fate wouldn't allow them to be together. She cried as she got up. She packed her things. She didn't know how she was going to be able to live without him.

She picked up Jake's stone. She could do anything. She would find a way to live by herself. She did for most of her life. She had to. For Heero. She grabbed the dagger and was about to walk out of the room. She went over to the nurses desk. "I'm checking out for the night. Please Let Heero know I won't be coming back."

"I'll give him the message as soon as he wakes up."

"Thank you." she walked away and stopped short. She looked back at the nurse.

"Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Kelsey took the stone out of her pocket. "Please give this to him. Tell him not to look for me."

The nurse took the stone, puzzled, but nodded. "I promise he'll recieve this and your message tomorrow."

Kelsey nodded. Tears streamed from her eyes as she ran out the doors.

OOC: Sorry for the long post.... I had a lot I wanted to add today :D

[Heero Darkangel]

Heero hadn't slept, something told him that there was something wrong, he walked down the corridor and passed the nurses desk

'Heero,' called a nurse, he turned around, 'This was left by Kelsey, she told us to give it to you and told us to tell you that she's gone and for you not to look for her,'

Heero felt his heart pain as he closed his eyes trying to hide the tears, he looked down at the stone...he felt betrayed by her sudden leave and smacked the stone out of the nurses hand, suddenly his eyes turned cold,

'Lies...it was all lies...just like my life,' he whispered, 'never again,'

He walked out of the hospital with his head hung low, Hakaruu, Cat and Kita ran up to him

'Heero where's Kelsey?' they questioned

'Don't speak that name around me ever again,' growled Heero as he walked passed them

They ran into the hospital and went to the nurses desk

'She left and said she wasn't coming back,' said the nurse

'What!!!,' exclaimed Cat, 'How selfish can she be...leaving without an explaination what so ever!!!'

'Now how are we going to control Heero now...she didn't even think of what it might do to him or what he might do to us,' exclaimed Kita

'Well looks like Heero's going to be easy prey now...we'd better go find him,' said Hakaruu

Heero found himself in the forest by the river looking at his reflection in the water at that moment a familiar voice came from behind him, but he didn't care

'Now don't you feel more better,' said Mr Nagato, 'you don't have to worry about her anymore...she's gone,'

'how do you know?' questioned Heero

'Because i told her to...she had to leave or you'll never come right,' smiled Mr Nagato

Heero's eyes widened, 'WHAT?' he growled

At that moment Mr Nagato twisted the heeros arm around and flipped him onto the ground, and injected more of the serum into Heero's arm, Heero tried to fight him off but was too tired to do so, after injected the whole lot into Heeros arm Mr Nagato got off, Heero stood up with his back turned to the teacher

'Now Heero join us..become what you were ment to become,' laughed Mr Nagato

'NO!,' growled Heero, Mr Nagato stopped laughing and watched Heero turn around slowly

'What?' questioned Mr Nagato, he then saw Heero's eyes, they were blood shot, Mr Nagato had over dosed him, and with all the mixed feelings Heero was wild, suddenly Heero lunged at Mr Nagato driving his sword into Mr Nagatos chest

'Whats wrong?...you look as though you've seen a ghost,' Laughed Heero psychotically as he with drew his sword

'No Heero....oh god ...what have i done?' whispered Mr Nagato as he fell to the ground as he looked at Heero's eyes fill with pleasure

'Heero!!!,' called out Hakaruu as Cat and Kita ran up beside Hakaruu, Heero turned slowly with a smile on his face

'Oh no,' whispered Cat as she saw the seringe laying on the ground

'Run!,' called Mr Nagato, 'Run you idiots!, RUN!!,'

Hakaruu looked at Mr Nagato as he yelled at them suddenly Heero drove the sword straight through his head

'Oh shit,' exclaimed Kita

'Now your turn,' smiled Heero evilly as he pointed both Katanas at them and ran towards them

Kelsey screamed as she ran. She bent down quickly and picked up Nagato's sword and blocked Heero's attack. He looked at her, anger burned in his eyes.

"You Betrayed me.." he muttered. He raised his Katana's to strike her, but she dodged and parried his attack. Her sword blocked another attack. Tears streamed from her eyes. "Go! Leave us here, please."

"You're CRAZY!!" screamed Hakaruu. "He's going to kill you."

"Get out of here now or I'll let him kill you all. Leave!!!" she screamed as she defended herself from another blow. Heero was slashing like mad. Hakaruu was confused.

"I can't stop him if you're here. Go now, please." she screamed. Heero was unfaltered by her cries. He was that gone.

"Come on, let's get out of here."

"We can't leave her!!" cried Cat.

"We don't have a choice. Let's go!!!"

"NO!!!" Cat screamed, she ran to help Kelsey but Hakaruu caught her and pulled her back. He pulled Cat while she kicked and screamed. "She'll die if we leave her!! Hakaruu you're making a mistake!!" she cried.

Hakaruu fought back tears. He didn't know what was right and what was wrong anymore. He wanted everything to go away.

After they left, Heero was relentless with his blows. Kelsey blocked every single one. "Heero, I never meant to hurt you." she screamed over the sound of clashing swords.

"You left. You didn't even think about me. No one cares. Everyone who ever meant something to me is dead. And you're dead to me as well. So DIE already!!"

"You kill me, and you lose everything."

He laughed wickedly. "Don't be so vain, Kelsey." he grabbed his Katana, and without thinking, slammed them into her chest and stomach.

Kelsey bent over in pain. She knew the drugs were taking him over, but her mind circled. She didn't know what else to do. Her stomach ached in pain from the blow, and she felt light headed. He didn't mean what he said... right? The tears fell from her cheeks as she coughed up blood. She glanced at Heero. Heero's face started to clear. His head was clearing. He was remembereing. Her heart skipped a beat. He was too late.

He grabbed his head with his hands and started crying out in pain. He opened his eyes and saw her, hunched over on her knees, breathing heavily.

"Kelsey..." he said as he looked at her. She was bleeding. But how??

And then he remembered what had happened. He remembered striking her...

He cried out in anguish. "NO!!!" he stared at her, she was still coughing blood, holding her stomach. Trying to hold on...

Heero went crazy, his grief was too much. He stood up and looked down at her. "Please not you Kelsey... Please, I didn't hurt you, right?" he stared at her, his face was stern.

She said nothing as she looked at him, the tears falling from her eyes.

"ANSWER ME DAMMIT!!!" he screamed at her.

"Heero..." she whispered. Her tears fell,

Heero stood there, trying to stay calm, but he couldn't stop the tears. The drug was trying to control his anger again. He wanted to lash out, but he couldn't. He wept as he dropped to his knees and looked her in the eyes. "I'm sorry..." he whispered as he touched her cheek.

Kelsey cried as she gasped for air. She tried to smile, but the pain was too much. "Heero..." she said.

Heero grew frantic. "SOMEBODY!!!! GET HELP!! FAST!!!!" but no one was around to hear him.

"Heero, I love you."

"Stop it. Stop that now."

She closed her eyes as she whispered to him. "Please, don't blame yourself."

"STOP!!!" he screamed as he picked her up. "I won't hear this. You're going to be alright!!"

The blood fell from his hands. She bent her head up and kissed him softly. "I love you." she said. And she fell unconscious.

Hakaruu, Cat and Kita ran back into the clearing, where Heero held Kelsey as tight as he could...His face was emotionless

'Kelsey!!!,' they all screamed as they ran towards them, Heero stood up

'She's unconcious..but she will die if you don't get her back to the Hospital,' said Heero his voice sounding distant, His eyes looking lost as he handed her to Hakaruu,

'Heero??' questioned Cat

'No...Take her back,' whispered Heero as he looked at them with a soft smile, 'I'm on a one way ticket to self anihilation, tell her that she will always mean more to me than anything else on this planet, I can't go on like this anymore...so tonight it ends, tonight i will destroy everything,' and with those words Heero took off into the night, he ran as tears rolled down his cheeks

Hakaruu handed Kelsey over to Cat and Kita, 'Quick take her back, she needs to live for Heero to live now go, I'm going after him,'

Cat and Kita took off back to the hospital while Hakaruu took off after Heero

Heero ran as hard as he could with both Katanas drawn

'Kelsey...I'm sorry for everything...I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me, you will never know how much you mean to me...I love you more than life itself...and i've nearly destroyed it...i can't go on like this anymore for your sake and mine I will end the maddness tonight...so you can live peacefully...I love you deeply,' whispered Heero as he followed an instinct that was taking him deep into the forest, he didn't know where he was going but all he could remember was a tunnel

Kelsey laid there in her bed. She was alive, but the relief had come and gone hours ago. The nurses had bandaged her completely around her chest. The medicince they gave her made her cringe as she moved. She sat there, thinking about Heero.

Cat had told her what he said. [i]'I'm on a one way ticket to self anihilation, tell her that she will always mean more to me than anything else on this planet, I can't go on like this anymore...so tonight it ends, tonight i will destroy everything,'[/i]

She sat there, looking out at Kurakow. Where could he be? Where did he go? It was somewhere they had never looked before. But she couldn't put her finger on it.

She needed some air. She had to find him before it was too late. But she needed to think.

Kelsey walked outside despite the nurses calls. She didn't care about anyone or anything. She needed to figure out where he went.

She walked to the creek where they had first talked. She smiled when she remembered how he pulled her into the water that night. How cold it was. And then how he brought her to that clearing.

She walked to the clearing and saw the tree. She climbed it, despite the pain she felt. She sat where they were, and stared out over Kurakow. She still thought this place was beautiful.

Her eyes glanced down and noticed a small bridge over the creek. She'd never seen it before. She climbed down and stared at the bridge. She crossed over it and leaned against it.

"Please, don't throw your life away. I'm okay. Don't you know that I need you?" she whispered in the night.

She leaned over and stared at the water. She noticed something that seemed to be hiding under the brush of the canopy trees. She walked over to it and saw a tunnel. Her heart nearly leaped out of her. She knew Heero had to have gone in here. She ran down the tunnel and went after Heero.

"You'll have to do better than this to make me forget about you Heero." she said to herself as she ran as fast as she could.

[Heero Darkangel]

Heero came out on the other side, He heard heavy footsteps behind him, he stepped back into the shadows, the figure ran out of the tunnel and Heero grabbed the figure and pulled them in close holding a katana to the throat

'Heero! it's Hakaruu,' exclaimed Hakaruu, Heero forcfully let him go

'Why are you following me!,' he snapped putting the sword away and holding his hand to the side of his head as the serum tried to take over again

'I can't let you do this, I know what you meant and I can't let you do that,' said Hakaruu with a serious look in his eyes

'Why can't you all just leave me alone....I can't live like this anymore,' said Heero as he lent against the tree, 'I just can't go on...I'm tired of it...I'm tired,'

Hakaruu realised what Heero ment by being tired, 'I'm coming with you..whether you like it or not,'

Heero looked at him and smiled gently and they both took off

Kelsey reached the end of the tunnel and came out into a clearing, she looked down at the ground and saw fresh tracks

'Kelsey wait!,' called cat from behind her as Cat, Kita and Lex ran out of the tunnel

'How'd you guys follow me?' questioned Kelsey

'We saw you leave the hospital, we've been calling out but you didn't hear us,' said Kita

'Sorry, I need to find Heero...I can't let him do that to himself,' Cried kelsey

'He's too far gone, you saw what he done to you,' said Kita

'No, what your thinking about him right now is wrong!, I know Heero and I love him,' she snapped

'but Kelsey, do you honestly think that you can change him...girl you'd be better off trying to rope the wind than to change the way he is,' said Cat with tears in her eyes

'No, I won't believe that, He loves me i know it and i've seen it, I won't give up on him,' she cried

'But you did Kelsey, you should of seen his face when he found out that you had gone...it was as if his whole world ended right there and then, it was as if he had died...he thinks that he has lost you because of him, he can't forgive himself for that and i don't think he ever will...his minds far gone and he's trapped in a world where he see's everything falling down around him, he's suffocating within himself and he can't get out...He's a dead man walking...he can't even tell whats right and whats wrong,' said Kita

Kelsey looked at them with tears rolling down her cheeks, 'I know what i did was the wrong thing to do, I wished I hadn't done that now...but i must find him....I can't live without him and no matter what I can't let him destroy himself because i know that it will destroy me, now if your coming then come but if your not then don't,'

'No we are coming with you kelsey and we will fight by yourside and Heeros,' said Mr alastine,

'Thank you,' she smiled wiping the tears away and they took off following the trail of prints left by Heero and Hakaruu

Heero and hakaruu ran as fast as they could throught the trees, Hakaruu couldn't help but look over at the fustrated and tormented Heero, he once remembered how Heero wouldn't let anyone near him and now here he was running beside him, Hakaruu also remembered how good he was multi weapon combat and archery, he wished it would go back to being like that but he knew that after this night...he may never see Heero ever again and things around the campus will never be the same...a deep saddness overwhelmed him inside and he blinked back the tears hoping that Heero wouldn't see them but Heeros mind was too focused on what was going to happen...this was going to be one huge war and even though he was scared he wasn't going to leave Heero's side he would fight till they run them all down

Kelsey ran down the tunnel. She knew they were'nt far off from them. She'd find Heero. She ran and tripped over a root once they reached the clearing. She fell and tore open several wounds. She screamed in pain as Cat, Kita and Lex came up from behind her. Kita and Cat helped her up.

"You're a fool Kelsey. You'll die before we reach them."

"Then turn back. I don't care. I need to get to him before it's too late."

"Dammit Kelsey, it already is too late. Don't you get it?"

"I refuse to believe he's gone. Hakaruu didn't believe he was gone. Why can't you all have that same faith?"

Kita stared long and hard at Kelsey. "You'll die Kelsey. You can't do anything. And then this will all be for nothing. He won't want to live without you, and he'll kill himself anyway. Is that what you want?"

"To leave him out there would have the same result. If I don't do anything, he'll kill himself anyway. But as long as I'm alive, I'm not going to let that happen. I'll do whatever I can in my power to help him. Even if it brings me to my death. Like Heero, I have no desire too live without him." She stood up and pointed at her arm. "And I don't have any drugs in me. Do you understand how important this is to me now? He wasn't crazy when he told you that Cat." Cat looked up at her and bit her lip. She was starting to get it. "He wasn't gone. Because if what he says makes him gone, then I'm far gone as well. Call us crazy, but we don't have much to live for in life. The only things keeping us alive is the hope that we'll be able to be together someday. And Heero has given up on that. I won't let him forget me. It's too easy to throw your life away when you feel everything is lost." She knelt back down to where Rita was. "Well I'm not dead. He should know that before he ruins our lives. Now are you coming or not? I'm going to him, even if it kills me."

Rita moaned as she stood up. She walked away from Kelsey. "You're crazy girl."

"Well, then I'm crazy. That still doesn't change things." She began to stand up on her own, and blood stained her clothing. She bent down over the creek and splashed the cold water over her wounds.

Cat looked at Lex and Rita. "I'm with you Kelsey all the way."

Lex nodded at Kita and she sighed again. "Alright. I'm here to protect you. We'll all get going. Do you need some assistance, or can you walk."

Kelsey smiled. "I'm fine. Let's get going."

Heero stopped for a moment and looked around at that moment a group of boys appeared

'So have you come to join now,' asked one, 'you have nothing to live for now...so join us Heero,'

Heero began laughing pshycotically, 'Your right...I have nothing to live for so why would i join you!,'

At that moment Heero drew his Katanas and ran towards them, they saw the devilish look in his eyes, it sent shievers down their spines as they hesitated for a moment and then engaged in his fight, Hakaruu quickly drew his weapons and joined in, they cut down the boys and carried on, they came across a huge complex situated on the side of a cliff

'Man i never knew this place was here?' questioned Hakaruu

'Of course you wouldn't,' came a familiar voice, they spun around to find the head master standing with a smile, 'Welcome back Heero,'

They both gasped as they saw the headmaster standing with a group of boys

'Your behind all of this?' questioned Hakaruu

'I should of known, only you would know of our where abouts around the school,' growled heero

'So i see you haven't come back, no matter you will come around,' smiled The head master as a group of boys grabbed Hakaruu from behind

'One move and he's dead,' snapped the headmaster

at that moment they struck Hakaruu with a seringe, he dropped to the ground and held his head suddenly he stood up and looked at Heero who was unphased by it all, Hakaruu lunged at Heero with a smile but Heero dodged him, Heero wasn't about to fight him,

'Heero you better start fighting if you don't then you'll never know about what really happened to your parents,' laughed the head master

Over hearing what was said, heero began fighting Hakaruu...he could feel the serum trying to over come him but he held it off as hard as he could

Heero began to get fustrated and he grabbed Hakaruu by the neck and slammed him into the ground, Hakaruu wearily stood up

'Heero...help me,' he pleaded as he clutched his head and slouched over at that moment the Head master threw a dagger a Hakaruu which enlodged itself in his arm

'Hakaruu!,' called Heero as he ran to his side, at that moment the serum broke free in his body and he stood up, he slowly turned around, drew his Katanas and lunged at the Head master, they fought wildly, but he was good, too good for Heero, the headmaster had an unbelievable strength, he slammed Heero against the complex wall, you could hear bones crack while he hit Heero but the serum wouldn't let Heero rest, the beatings made Heero more aggressive, he ran at the headmaster with one finally attempt to cut him down, but suddenly he stopped, a sharp pain grew in his chest, he looked down and saw that the headmaster had driven a sword through his chest and it had come out the otherside

'Your mother was a rare beauty outside and inside, just like your girlfriend,' he whispered in Heeros ear, 'they both tasted sweet, and here you thought there was many of them when really there was only one who was inside them all the time,'

Heero looked up with tears in his eyes as he remembered everything...cletching his katanas heero quickly lifted his sword and quickly slashed the left eye of the headmaster who stumbled backwards while still holding the sword stuck in Heeros chest, it was ripped out, heero let out a cry of pain as he fell backwards onto his side and stayed like that

'NNNOOOO!' cried out Hakaruu as he tried to crawled over to Heero's lifeless body but was dragged back

"You're a pathetic excuse of a man Heero. You avoid emotions because you can't handle them. It makes you weak."

"What do we do with them now Mr. Raxon?"

"Leave him. Hakaruu will kill this boy. Won't you Hakaruu." he said.

Hakaruu kicked and screamed but the boys brought him closer to Heero. They bent him over Heero's body and placed a dagger in his hand. They held him down over Heero and put a sword to his neck.

Raxon laughed. "You weren't my first choice, but I guess you'll have to do. Heero here doesn't listen to reason. And he's never given you the time of day. Why spare his life? He killed his girlfriend."

Heero didn't move, but he heard everything.

"She's dead? How can that be?"

"Happened 4 hours ago. The poor girl. A pity to waste such a perfectly good treat like that. But Heero's blows killed her in the end. And to imagine, he was trying to protect her from us, and we ended up not being the ones responsible for her death." he laughed again.

"You're lying."

"Oh come on boy, do you really think she could have survived it? Maybe if Heero stayed, she would have found her way back, but Heero here can't seem to handle emotions. When he starts to feel, he becomes paranoid. He's weak. And Kelsey was too trusting. Why should you let him live? Kill him. Make him pay for what he did. Kelsey died at his hands. Do you think it's fair to let him live?"

"I can't kill him..." he said.

"So you'll give up your life to save an already dead person? Take his life!!!!" he screamed.

"NO!!!" Hakaruu screamed. He threw the dagger away and bent over Heero.

"Fine. You'll die together." he raised his sword and was about to strike when a sword came to the back of his neck.

"Put it down Raxon." Lex said

Kita held her sword to another boy's back as Cat ran to Hakaruu.

"Lex, you really are annoying." he said with a sigh.

"Put your swords down boys or Raxon will die."

The four boys looked at each other and dropped their swords.

Raxon laughed. "Do you really think you can stop me? My training surpasses yours, Lex."

Lex put the blade closer to his neck. "Drop it."

Raxon moved faster than anyone had ever seen as he disarmed Lex and pointed his sword at Cat's neck.

"You're all a bunch of fools. Do you not think I was ready for you? The boys picked up their swords and bound Rita's hands.

Cat closed her eyes. She didn't want to die... But she couldn't stay like that either. Suddenly, she drop and rolled out of the way and drew her sword to Raxon's.

"You liar..."

"Oh yes, the girl with the fake brother. So you found out? It really doesn't matter. You ended up not having much skill for me to be interested in you anymore."

"Leave her alone, Raxon!!" Hakaruu yelled. He stood up and drew his sword as well.

"Oh how sweet. Love amongst the battlefield. I forgot to cry." He stabbed Lex in the stomach and drew his other sword and pointed his blades at both Cat and Hakaruu.

Lex laid there on the ground bleeding.

"Mr. Alastine!!!!" Kita screamed.

"He was a poor excuse for a teacher. One of the few staff members that never made a part of my little group here."

Cat cried as she saw him unmoving. She didn't know if he was dead or not. But she knew there wasn't much time for him.

"You Bastard..." Hakaruu said as he gritted his teeth.

"My my, Hakaruu, is that the drugs talking, or do you really hate me?" Raxon smiled.

Hakaruu fumed and charged toward Raxon. Raxon parried the attack and knocked him across the room.

"Hakaruu!!!" Cat yelled.

"Take them out of here." He yelled.

The guards took the Cat and Rita and took them away from the area.

Raxon looked at Heero. He still laid there. He was gasping for air.

"Poor Heero. Too bad his life had to end so soon. I'll ease your passing."

At that precise moment, Kelsey jumped down from a higher ledge on the cliff and kicked Raxon in the face. He staggered back, and Kelsey landed between Heero and Raxon.

"So, you finally came. I was wondering if my lie became a truth or not. I'm sorry girl; I'm not in the mood to play again. Maybe some other time we can take another go at it."

Kelsey was disgusted. Tears streamed down her face. She remembered him now...

She grabbed her stomach in pain. She unhooked her dagger from her sheath and faced Raxon.

"You've hurt Heero and me for the last time."

Heero's eyes opened immediately. She wasn't dead... she was alive... he looked up and saw Kelsey standing in front of him. Blood stained her clothes.

"Leave us alone...? she said sternly, her eyes never leaving his gaze.

"I can't do that. Heero is mine just as Jake was supposed to be. If he doesn't join me, the same thing that happened to your brother will happen to your boyfriend."

Images flashed through her mind... the kicked over chair, the dangling body... Kelsey stared at him in horror. [i]All this time...[/i] she thought. She bent her head as the tears fell.

"You pathetic girl. Isn't it funny how everyone just assumed your brother took his own life? Even you believed it."

Heero used his arms to steady himself as he tried to sit up. Tears welled up in his eyes. Her brother was killed. Anger built up inside as he stood up. The blood drenched his shirt. But the stab in his stomach felt numb to the pain he felt when he saw her cry.

"YOU MONSTER!!!" she screamed as she lunged at Raxon. He laughed as he blocked her attack.

"Careful girl, I know your weak spot. I should know because I caused it." he laughed as he punched her in the stomach, as she fell over.

"NO!!" anger surged through Heero. "Leave her alone!! STOP THIS!!!" he gripped his katanas and glared at Raxon.

"Certainly. When you join me that is." he kicked Kelsey on the head and she rolled over. She cried out in pain as the blood poured from her head.

"BASTARD!!!!" Hakaruu screamed as he lunged at Raxon. Raxon was surprised at the suddenly awake Hakaruu. He fought Hakaruu as Heero ran to Kelsey.

[Cat]

[size=2]Cat begn to fight the guard that had her. She kick the guard that had her in the face. The guard let go of Cat. Then Cat drew her Katana's and killed him

She ran back to where the action was. Hakaruu was fighting with the master. So that Heero and Kelsey could get up. Cat ran at Mr. Raxon and slashed his arm.

"What the?" Said Hakaruu as he turned and saw Cat. She smiled.

"Couldn't let you fight him all alone." Cat said.

"But you going to get hurt." said Hakaruu.

"You are starting to sound like Heero." said Cat.

He just smiled. Hakaruu knew she was right. Thats when Mr. Raxon came at them with his sword raised. Hakaruu pushed Cat out of the way just in time but the sword came down on Hakaruu's right arm and cut it right off. Hakaruu grabbed where his arm use to be. He fell to one knee. He looked up into the face of Mr.Raxon. Mr. Raxon smiled as he raised his sword again but Cat came out of nowhere and blocked it.

"How dare you!!!" she screamed.

Cat then slashed at Raxon. He just smiled.

Heero grasped her blood stained body, she lay in pain

'Kelsey!,' he cried out, 'Kelsey!,'

'Heero...I'm ok,' she smiled up at him with tears rolling down her cheeks, she could see the torment in his eyes, the saddness that lingered over his face, it was heartbreaking to see

At that moment he heard Hakaruu let out a blood curtling roar, He turned around to see Hakaruus arm laying on the ground and he clutched where his arm use to be

In anger heero kissed Kelsey and took off to help Cat and Hakaruu who were fighting Raxon

As he did that a huge group of boys and girls from the Black Tiger gang bolted out from behind some trees on the north side of the valley

'NOW!!,' roared Lex over the battle cries from the Black tigers, in that instant a huge group of mixed students and teachers bolted out from behind some trees on the southside of the valley and clashed with the black Tiger group

Kelsey looked around, 'Where'd they come from?'

'These are all the students from Kurakow who's lives were also destroyed by this gang, I wnet through all the files Hakaruu and Heero found,' smiled Mr Alastine as he helped Kelsey up

'Thank you,' she whispered as they looked at Heero, Hakaruu and Cat who were menacingly trying to knock down Raxon when a group of boys joined their fight, Kelsey, Kita and Lex joined them aswell

At that moment, all of the Head Master's gang of boys returrned and it was a blood war. People were dying on both sides, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop it. Kelsey tried to find Heero, but she noticed Raxon backing into the shadows as he tried to flee.

Kelsey charged after him, not letting anyone know where she went. She knew it was a mistake, but she'd lose him and he'd be gone forever if she didn't follow him. As she ran she picked up a dead boys sword and removed her dagger from it's sheath. She ran and followed him until they got to a dead end.

"It's just the two of us once again Kelsey." he said as he turned around, sword drawn.

"You killed him... and you let us all believe that he gave up on himself."

"Isn't that the beauty though in all of this? I made everyone here live according to the way I wanted them to live. I decided each person's fate before they even stepped foot on these training grounds."

"You killed so many people, so many that meant something to each and everyone one of us. How could you??" she screamed.

"Oh, don't go and read me the rite of all that is good and pure. You're not so innocent yourself you know. You have blood on your hands. Look at the lives you and Heero ended??"

"I had no choice.."

"We all have a choice, Kelsey. You just made the easiest one. Just like I do." he smiled wickedly.

"You're wrong." she said in an undertone.

"Am I? Would you like me to name every single boy you killed this week? John was 14. He had just witnessed his best friend Carl being killed in practice. He came to me for help, and I gave him a place to belong. He was killed later by your boyfriend because he was following an order."

"Stop it..."

"And then there's Kit. Barely 17. He was one of the boys I was about to remove from existence anyway. He was later killed by you for following the wrong crowd of boys that night in the field."

"STOP IT!!!"

"We all make choices, Kelsey. To condemn me for the ones I made would be hypocrisy on your part. You stole lives, just as I did."

Kelsey shook. She didn't know what to say.. she knew she killed them, but she also knew it was in self defense.

Raxon saw her falter and jumped at the chance to strike. He slashed her sword from her hand and grabbed her throat. He pushed her up against the wall, and removed the dagger from the other hand.

"Don't play with the big boys unless you can truly take them, Kelsey."

Kelsey squirmed and tried to break free from his grip. She tried to scratch his hands, but they were covered with material. She couldn't kick free because he was right up against her.

He put his hand on her cheek. "Heero was a lucky man to have so many beautiful women in his life.."

She slapped his hand away and spat in his face.

He wiped it off with his free hand and clutched her neck even harder. "Girl, you are trying my patience. It looks as if I have no choice but to dispose of you. But not until I've had my fun." he laughed as he put his hand in her hair.

She tried to scream, but she could barely breathe. He laughed at her as she tried to get away.

And then his eyes bolted open as he gasped for air. He screamed in agony as he pulled Kelsey's hair. She closed her eyes in pain as he squeezed her neck even tighter. He then fell on the floor, releasing his grip from her neck, and went cold.

Kelsey saw Heero standing over Raxon's body. He removed his dagger from his back and looked up at her.

[Heero Darkangel]

Heero looked down at Kelsey, who lay on the ground, his face expressionless, he helped her up, without a word they began to walk out of the forest, as they did that a twig cracked behind them Heero turned around to see Raxon standing

'HEERO...if you wont come back then die!!!,' roared Raxon, as he drew his bow and arrow,

'Kelsey!,' exclaimed Heero as he pushed her backwards, she tripped and fell down a small hill and ended out in the clearing where the battle was dying down

'Heero!!,' she screamed as she tried to stand but pain shot through her body

Heero pulled out his bow and arrow just as raxon let his arrow go, without aiming heero fired, suddenly there was a sharp pain in his ribcage on the left hand side, Heeros arrow struck Raxon between the eyes and he fell down, Heero looked down and found Raxons arrow sticking out of his side, blood oozed out, grabbing hold of the arrow, he ripped it out, he bit back on the pain as he threw the arrow away, he slowly and wearily walked over to Raxons body lifted his sword and brought it down across his neck

'Now come back from that,' whispered heero as Raxons head rolled away from his body, Heero slowly walked back to the clearing, he could hear Kelsey calling out to him, he tried to run but the pain made him dizzy, he stumbled out of the clearing and looked at Kelsey with a warm smile

'Heero,' she whispered as she saw his distant gaze and blood flowing from the wound in his side, Heero suddenly fell in a heap on the ground

'NOOOO,' screamed Kelsey as she forced herself up and ran to his side, her scream rang out across the valley, everyone turned and looked at her as she stumbled to Heeros side, she lifted his head and placed it on her lap, she brushed his bangs out of his face, 'no, no, no....Heero...please,'

Heero opened his eyes, the sun glistened at the corners as he looked at her

'Oh Heero...please stay with me...' she whispered as tears rushed down her face, he gently lifted his hand, wiped one and flicked it away, 'Heero...come on...Heero please,'

'I...never thought...that...I'd find...some one who understood...me,' he whispered struggling to speak, Hakaruu, cat, Kita and Mr Alastine ran over to them,

'We're going to get help!,' said Mr Alastine and Kita as they took off while everyone watched on

'Heero please...don't leave me,' she cried

'You showed me more than what any other has....your warmth, your beauty, your love....was more than what i wished for....you set me free....You'll never know how good it feels for me to hold you...to be wanted...to be needed...but I can't go on like this Kelsey...my minds too mixed up...and after what i did...I can't forget that...' whispered heero as tears rolled down his face, 'I love you more than...life itself...I'd die for you...anytime...anywhere...you hold my heart,'

'Heero please...you can't leave me here...don't you understand that i need you....I can't live without you...you can't leave me here...you can't leave...not when we've won, we can finally get on with our lives,' cried Kelsey as she held him tighter

'Kelsey...i'm trapped inside myself...and i can't get out...I can't tell whats right from wrong anymore...I just want it to stop...I'm tired,' he whispered

'I won't let you go,' she exclaimed as she looked down at him, he was her angel who had fallen from grace and couldn't get back up, her heartached as she looked in his eyes of pain, loss, saddness, fear...his eyes were pools of mixed tormenting emotions but she couldn't let him go, 'I can't let you go....you are everything to me...you've all I've got...and i can't let that go, my love flows too deep for you...my angel...my heart...my love...' as she preesed herfore head against his

'My soul...' he whispered as his eyes grew dark, '....My life...'

'Heero...Heero please NOOOOOO,' screamed Kelsey as the light in his eyes faded, 'GET UP....DON'T YOU DARE LEAVE ME!!!!,'

Heero jerked as she looked down at him, 'I love you...' he whispered with tears that rushed from his eyes

'Please hold on...for me,' she whispered

Cat realised how much Heero loved Kelsey and he was doing everything to hold on but she too could see that his heart was fading

'WHERE ARE THEY?' she roared wiping the tears from her eyes

'Heero...stay...' whispered Kelsey

"I'm tired...." he said as he closed his eyes. "Too tired..."

"Heero? HEERO!!!" she screamed. He wasn't looking at her. He just laid there and the tears kept falling.

"Heero Yuy, you leave me no choice." she grabbed his dagger from the ground beside him and pointed it at her chest. "You die, and I will kill myself with your dagger."

Heero opened his eyes as he stared at her. He was confused.

"So which is it Heero? Giving up now only kills both of us."

"No Kelsey... please no..."

"This is how it's like to feel helpless in a situation. You're giving up on us. And now I'm showing you exactly what happens when you give up on the people you love. You end up killing both. You live for me. I live for you. Don't you remember your promise?"

He looked at her in the eyes. "Without you, I have no reason to go on."

"Well, that makes two of us. You're not the only one who's in love, Heero." she said, the tears streaming down her eyes.

"You can choose. I'm only showing you what will happen if you give up on us."

He winced at the pain in his chest. He wanted to go.

Kelsey held him with one hand and the dagger to her chest in the other. "Please Heero. I don't want to live without you. And I won't try."

Heero cried out in pain. He didn't know what to do. His mind was gone, he couldn't think anymore. He was tired...

He then took the dagger from her hands, and slowly, groaning in pain, he forced himself up, Kelsey tried to help him but he shook his head

'It's ok....I will do this on my own...I will...live for you,' he smiled weakly as he grabbed his bow and pulled himself up off the ground, she smiled with tears in her eyes, even though it hurt to watch him struggle and cry out in pain she was proud of him even though she knew that he just wanted to go

He staggered around and suddenly Mr Alastine appeared at his side

'Easy Heero,' smiled Mr alastine, 'We've brought the medical team,'

Heero sat down on a tree stump after being bandaged, he watched Hakaruu as they carried him off in a stretcher with Cat at his side, He looked at hakaruu who looked at him, Heero smiled and gave a nod,

'Don't forget to bring me some get well presents in hospital!' called Hakaruu as he gave Heero a salute and laughed

'Shut up,' said Cat as she hit him in the head

'Oh come on,' objected Hakaruu

Heero laughed as Kelsey walked over to Heero

'Lets go...it's over,' smiled kelsey, Heero stood up and smiled at her as they walked back to the Kurakow, they both looked over their shoulders back at the Tiger gangs Complex and saw Police rush in and apprehend the remaining few

They walked toward the hospital where they would be taken into intensive care. They were in bad shape, but none of that seemed to matter anymore. Heero put his arm around Kelsey's shoulder as they continued walking. He stopped suddenly and lifted her chin and kissed her tenderly.

"Thank you" he said

"For what, Heero?"

"For never giving up on me." he said as he looked into her eyes.

She smiled as she held his hand. The swelling didn't look horrible anymore compared to the rest of the scars he had. "You're always here for me Heero, Isn't it time someone helped you for a change?"

He smiled and held her close to him. He looked at her again and there were tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong Kelsey?" he asked

"He didn't kill himself, Heero."

Heero ran his fingers through her hair. "Are you okay?"

"I'm relieved. He didn't leave me like I thought he did. He didn't give up hope, it was take from him." tears streamed from her eyes. "While it's not easy to think about what he went through, it kind of brings you comfort, knowing he never gave up."

Heero looked down at her and bent his head to kiss her. She opened her eyes and smiled. "You didn't give up either, You stayed for me."

"I didn't want to leave you Kelsey, not ever. I love you too much."

"Why Heero, you better watch what you say, people around here may think you're capable of showing feelings." she teased.

"I am now." he smiled and stared into her green eyes for a long time.

"Thank you Heero. Thank you for making me feel needed." she whispered.

He lifted her hand and kissed it. "Don't mention it." he said. He put his arm around her again and they continued walking back.

Early the next morning Heero was up sitting at the window of his hospital room, he didn't sleep well, the dreams still kept him up even worse as he remembered it all right from the start...

'I'm coming mother!,' called Heero as he was running around the house,

'No your not father, i'll beat you!,' Heero laughed as he rounded the corner and ran into his mother and his father ran up behind him and began tickling him, he laughed and ran around the back yard and fell on the ground laughing

'Son your lunch is ready,' called his mother

'Thank you princess,' his father spoke to his mother as he kissed her, Heero ran up to the picnic table and sat down[/I][/COLOR]

Tears ran down Heero's face as the memories continued:

[COLOR=DarkGreen][I]'Son bed time,' smiled his mother as she waited at the bottom of the stair case for him, Heero ran up to her as she took his hand and they walked up stairs. She tucked him into bed, the smell of her lavender perfume lingered in his room and the happiness he saw in her blue eyes was like gold, she bent over

'Good night my angel...' she whispered softly as her warm lips pressed gently against his forehead, she stood up brushed the hair out of his eyes and then walked out, she looked back over her shoulder

'I love you mother,' he called with a smile

'I love you more,' she smiled as she turned off the light and closed the door slightly leaving it open abit

and with that he fell asleep

'NNNOOOO,' was the scream that woke him from his peaceful slumber, 'NNNOOO you can't have him!!!,'

Heero knew his mothers voice and jumped off the bed and ran to the door pulling it open, he ran down stairs to find his father being held against the wall with a sword in his back,

'Son! run! run!!,' cried out his father but someone grabbed him from behind, 'NNOOO'

And at that moment his fathers head left his shoulders and landed on the floor infront of him

'NNNOOO, Father!!!!,' he screamed at the top of his lungs as he heard his mother scream, the men dragged Heero into the lounge kicking and screaming where they held his mother and there he saw Raxon

'Ah my sweet boy, good, he's in good shape,' smiled Raxon but Heero was more interested in trying to get to his mother who was pinned down on the sofa

'Son...let him go!!,' she screamed

'Mother!!!,' he cried out to her trying to break free but he couldn't

'I want him to see this...it'll make him harder,' smiled Raxon as he walked over to Heero's mother and began tearing off her clothes, Heero tried not to watch but the men holding him pryed open his eyes and held his head still and there he watched on helplessly as raxon raped her over and over again until she stopped screaming and became numb, all that time he screamed as his heart shattered, tears streaming down his face...and when it was all over they let him go, He ran to her side light headed from what he saw

'Mother please get up..get up...don't leave me...please,' his young heart pleaded

Her hand lifted slowly to his cheek, she wiped a tear and flicked it away

'My...beautiful...son,' she cried in pain as he looked along her naked body which was covered in blood by a sword that stuck out of her stomach and from what Raxon had done to her, he quickly grabbed a blanket and covered her after removing the sword

'Mother...please...don't leave me....,' he whispered as he pressed his head against hers

'My son...My angel..Look at me,' she whimpered, Heero looked down at her, 'Don't you dare...let what happened tonight...rule over your life...don't you loose that happiness that we gave you...Always know...that we love you...and that we'll always live on in your heart...if you ever need us...just looked towards the sky and you will...find us there...we will meet again someday...and when that day comes...I will hold you forever...I will not let you go....I..will always...love you...my angel good bye,'

And with those words he watched her eyes darken until the glisten of warmth had gone and her body turned cold

'Mother...mother...I love you,' cried Heero as he pressed his head against hers[/I][/COLOR]

Heero held his head in his hands and cried...he cried until he couldn't cry anymore, wiping the tears away Heero lent back in his chair...he remembered that he never said good bye to her...he need to say good bye...he had to let her go...it was the only way he thought that he'd beable to do

He was dressed when kelsey walked in

'Heero where are you going?' she asked as she saw the saddness linger over his face

The sun was warm as they arrived at a cemetery

'Are you sure this is the one?' she asked as they got out but Heero didn't listen as he jogged across the cemetery, she followed after him until he stopped and she stopped beside him

'mother..' he whispered looking at two cross shaped headstones which stood the same height as Heero

'I don't think i can do it...' he whispered as he ran his fingers over their names, Kelsey's heartached

'You can Heero,' she whispered holding back tears, 'I'll be right here with you,'

Heero inhaled deeply and exhaled long and hard, 'Good...bye, Good bye mother and father...I'll love yous always,' he whispered as tears rolled down his cheeks, at that moment a warm breeze with the sweet smell of lavender drifted passed, He looked around and saw a soft ghostly form of his mother and father, he smiled softly as they waved

[COLOR=DarkGreen][I]'Good bye my angel...until we meet again,'[/I][/COLOR] were the words whispered on the breeze by his mothers sweet voice as Heero closed his eyes and held on to that moment one last time then let it go, when he opened his eyes and looked around, they had gone...he smiled as he wiped the tears away, he felt a huge weight lift off his shoulders as he turned to Kelsey and hugged her and held on to the moment that was now...not then, he pulled his head back and kissed her softly on the lips

'I love you,' he spoke warmly

she looked up at him with a smile, 'I love you,'

'Come on lets get out of here,' he smiled as they walked off, 'I guess we should visit Hakaruu,'

'Why Heero...you actually care?' she mocked

'No...lets just say...he'll never let me live it down,' he laughed, Kelsey smiled as she saw the sparkle in his eyes...a sparkle she had never seen before

[size=2]Cat was holding Hakaruu's left hand when Heero and Kelsey walked in. She smiled up at them.

"Shhh." She said. Hakaruu was a sleep. Cat look down at Hakaruu.

"How is he?" asked Kelsey quietly.

"He doing good. Getting beter little by little." answer Cat.

Kelesy smiled.

"Thats good." said Kelsey.

"Is some one talking about me." said Hakaruu with a yawn.

"You should be a sleep." said Cat "You need the rest."

"Yeah Yeah." He said with a smile. "I know but I have company."

Hakaruu look up at Heero and Kelsey.

"How have you guys been?" He asked.

"Good" answer Heero "And you?"

"I'm good. Still can't get the hang of only having one arm." said Hakaruu.

"You'll get the hang of it soon or later and Cat here to help you" said Kelsey.

"That's right" said Cat with a smile.

Hakaruu smiled. Cat could see that Hakaruu was happy and that made Cat happy.

Kelsey tugged on Heero's arm. She gave him that "let's go" look, and they said their goodbyes to the happy couple.

Cat smiled as she waved, and Hakaruu tipped his head in gesture.

They walked out of the nurses office and she looked at the sky. "It's a beautiful day Heero." she said.

He looked at her smile and his heart leaped. He had loved that about her. Her glowing personality brightened even the darkest day. And that was what he held onto. All those years of being alone, he finally found the reason he'd been searching for to keep on living. He lived for her, and she lived for him.

He wrapped his arms around her and she looked up at him. " [i]You're[/i] beautiful." he said with a smile.

"Why thank you kind sir, but I'm afraid flattery gets a man nowhere with a girl."

He knelt down and kissed her. "How about that?"

"Well you just know how to treat a lady, don't you Heero?" she laughed as they walked away, looking forward, and not looking back. They were finally happy.
