I've a tendency to write lots of poems and, I like to write up some of my more interesting dreams. Fictionpress.com isn't doing anything for me (exposure-wise) so I'm trying this new spot. ^^

I'm here for you
For now at least
Don't talk to me of tomorrow
I want you today

I love you today
I want you tonight
Don't ask me about the future
I live for now

I won't ask for anything more
If I could just have you right now
To feel your fingers dance on my skin
And your lips on mine

Lithely accepting this moment
For all it's worth
Come at me again
I'm ready for more

Hold me close
Tell me you love me
But don't ask me about the future
I only live for today

Whisper "I love you"
Soothe my fears
Kiss away my tears
But don't ask me about the future

It's too much to think about today

[U][B]Death of an Angel[/B][/U]

White wings scattered on the ground,
Red blood soaking into the the grass,
Black eyes gazing upwards in shock,
Blue tears staining his cheeks.
My angel.

How far you'd flown to find me,
How far you'd delved into my darkness,
How hard you tried to understand me,
How hard you tried to stay.
My angel.

Black wings brushing against the ground.
Brown eyes gazing down on what was.
Blue tears falling like rain on the ground.
Red blood dripping from cold hands.
Death.

How far I'd flown to lose you.
How hard I tried to push you away.
How hard I tried to escape you.
How hard I was to you.
Death.

I want to take it back now.
I want to take it all back.
To undo the damage done.
And make two hearts one.
Life and Death.

[FONT=Trebuchet MS][COLOR=Red] I would have thought there would be more responses for such good poems. Oh well, at least now I've got the pleasure of being the first to respond.

Anyway, all of them are really great. It's hard to choose a favorite, but I guess I was more drawn to [I]Don't Ask For Forever[/I], that was really well done and expressed a lot of deep emotion. I think it was a beautiful poem. Now, I think I'd have to go with [I]Dark Romance[/I] as my second favorite because--well, it reminds me of a vampire like myself. :devil: That's not the only reason why I like it obviously, because that too was very well done. [I]Death of an Angel[/I] is really good too, I'd actually have to say it's almost as beautiful as your first poem. Overall, I think you should be very proud of your work, and I certainly hope more people will realize this and respond here as well.
