Avlen was leaning nonchalontly against the wall, as if she was used to the insanity. In reality she was rather annoyed at the proceedings. .....although it could be worse.

She sensed the gap between the people from the original mission, and herself...and everyone else unaware. It was like a chasm. Hell, it was a chasm. She shook herself and put all her weight back on her feet. Then, with calm steps, she walked down the hall, headed for her console, and let the doors close behind her with a hiss.

Then, at her desk, she taped down the required papers and turned to her screen.

"Begin recording."

The click signified her computer's willingness to cooperate.

"Day one.

I saw a demon in the mirror before I left home. And it wasn't me, .....but it was familiar.

Sam Tiller attacks Trini Angelos.

.................. ....... ......end recording."

She sighed and rested her chin on her palms, elbows digging into the desktop.

OOC: Did I miss much? *is mostly dain bread cause of skating all day*

IC:Steffanie stepped through the doors as they quietly hissed open. Her face was a mask of impassiveness, but her eyes showed every emotion possible.

?Marcus??

He looked slightly shocked to see her, and she stood to the side as the doors shut again. ?Umm?? She leaned against the wall, her eyes on the floor. ?Marcus? I think I went overboard.? He was looking slightly confused, and she slid down the wall.

?I feel so stupid. I?m usually good at figuring out what my patients need but? well, this time I guess I missed a major fact.? She smiled a sad smile, and looked up.

?I know, why am I telling you this?? Steffanie shrugged. ?My guess is you?re the only one who gave me a second glance. Everyone else already hates me.? She knew she sounded like a wining, self-possessed teenager.

But what she was thinking was, Sometimes a psychiatrist needs a friend, too.

OOC: GAH! My head hurts just from typing that. I skated all day so my brain hurts, my feet hurt, and I?m gonna kill Matt for running away with that hat! GRR!!!

Looking down at the hunched up form of Steffanie sitting in front of the wall Marcus felt his mind go blank. He didn?t know how to deal with women on a social basis let alone an emotionally stressed out one, the one thing he could relate with was the fact she felt everyone on the ship, aside from him, hated her due to her profession and he knew what self-loathing felt like.

Taking a deep breath he pulled himself off the bed and sat next to her then, through instinct mostly, put his arm around her.

Marcus: ?Don?t beat yourself up, all right? I?ve done it and it doesn?t help at all, give the others time to get used to you? Still going by instinct alone he pulled her chin up with his hand and noticed a stray tear going down her cheek. ?Listen, I?ll go and get you a drink, that?s what my Mum used to do.....I?ll be back in a bit?.

She nodded silently and he gave her a small hug before getting up off the floor and going out the door leaving her, and his open journal, in the room. ?Shit this is getting to much, I?ve never been that close to someone on that level in my whole life? Marcus wasn?t in any hurry to get back to his quarters but he knew he had to or it could get worse.

Marcus: [Sighing deeply] ?Shit....?

OOC: I'm backtracking here a lil bit. To the immediate time after I woke up in the medical bay.

IC:

As the lights were dimmed, she adjusted to her eyes to everyone around her. Her vision was slightly blurry due to where Sam had hit her but she just gave herself time to relax and laid there as everyone looked over her.

"How ya feeling now? Everything okay?" Van asked, bringing out a small pinpoint light checking her pupils making sure she didn't suffer a worse fate than thought.

The light stunned her for a moment and she blinked to bring back her focus.

"Yeah," she said, trying to move," just my vision's a lil blurry."

Ana helped her sit up on the side of the medical bed and she was able to look around and saw Sam's figure coming into focus. She turned to Allen who was moving beside her.

"How's Sam doing?"

"Let's just say he had a rude awakening." Allen said touching her shoulder. And moving away from her.

She felt her head pound and lifted her hand to the spot where she was hit.

"It'll be sore for a lil bit and you have a few cracked ribs. But we'll take care of that later." Van also placed his hands on her shoulder and began to walk away. Leaving only Ana at her side.

"You okay sitting here." Ana asked.

Trini nodded and sighed then looked over to Sam, Allen and Van.

"If you would Ana, can you leave me with these three alone for a moment?" She looked around to see a few others in the room as well." Can u all leave for a moment.?" She asked loooking at the ones near the bay doors and saw them nod. They turned quickly and left the area

Ana saw the serious look on Trinis face as she began to move herself off the uncomfortable metal table.

"Here, lemme help."

"I got it, Ana." Trini said reassuringly and moved a few steps over to a chair by a table. That Ana brought around for her to sit in.

"You need to slow down." Van said.

"Well you know what they say 'Doctor.' Docs and nurses make the worse patients." She smiled and took a seat. "Thanks Ana." The woman left Trini's side and began to move out of the medical bay.

The doors hissed and closed as Ana left, leaving Trini to sit with her three friends. They all sat there in relative silence before Trini sighed.

"What's up Trini?"

She looked up. Their faces now clear to her. Allen was straight faced as ever, Van was still somehwat worred and Sam., he was mixed between a frightened kid and a busload of concern.

Before she could reply he burst out.

"I'm so sorry Trini. I didn't-"

"How long has this been going on?" She purposely interrupted his apology and looked at all three of them.

No one answered right away. Allen stepped forward and answered.

"Since we got home, Sam has been having these terrible visions of Tex and-"

"Why didn't you tell me?" her eyes were piercing all of them. Van most of all, her commrade, father figure, it began to hurt most of all seeing his face amoungst the three of them because he was the one she had grown closest to. Not even he gave her a warning. "I mean I was there with you guys and you didn't tell me a word. Why?"

Ana stared at the heavy doors, concerned and slightly upset. All she wanted to do was help.

Every time I try..I feel I'm being pushed away..

Ana sighed, and started down the corridor, away from it all. The ship, despite all of the turmoil that began to rise, was peaceful, and silent. No clicks, no yelling, no humming, nothing.

Thrity more minutes, then we'll be on our way..

Ana glanced at her watch, anxiety growing within her abdomen. A small groan reverberated from Ana's stomach and she gently stroke her belly.

Hm, perhaps I was hungrier than I thought. Let's go take a look inside the fridge..

Ana picked up pace and followed the twisting corridors to finally stumble upon the Mess Hall. She depressed the switch and watched the doors slide open. Singing softly, Ana walked with stride over to the refridgerator.

"So glad to see you out.
Overcome and completely silent.
Now, with Heaven's help, you've cast your demons out.
And not to pull your halo down around your neck and tug you to the ground.
But I'm more than just a little curious-"

Ana stopped and began to blush.

"You have a pretty voice, Ana."

"Thank you, Jako."

Jako stood up from the only swivel chair, which was supposed to be the captain's seat. He walked over towards Ana and propped himself up on the counter with his elbow.

"Though," he pushed himself up and around Ana, "I must admit, it was sad. Is everthing alright?"

Jako grasped his cup and took a long sip, eyeing Ana.

"It's nothing really. I just happen to love that song," Ana smiled and reached into the refridgerator.

Steffanie sat still, her back firmly against the cool, metallic wall. She looked up at the ceiling, contemplating what had just happened. She brought her hand up to her face, touching the tear that clung to her skin.

Steffanie brushed it away, and looked about. Marcus? room didn?t look to different than hers did, though the uses were different. The girl?s sharp eyes spotted an open journal on the floor, and her brow scrunched up in wonder. A journal? I wonder why?

She was tempted to look at it, but making a large gap between she and the one person she was sure didn?t despise her was not her idea of a good day.

Soon, the doors hissed open again, and Steffanie looked up from her place on the floor. Marcus handed her the paper cup, and sat down again. He looked slightly nervous, but she had to admit, he was doing a good job of hiding it. Steffanie murmured a small thanks, and sipped the drink.

It tasted like milk, but sweeter. She blink rapidly, and looked over at Marcus. ?Its? milk and honey.? He said, not looking at her. Steff relaxed some, and continued to sip it. That would explain it?

OOC: Joko, you can go back to getting the drink if you want to interact with Annie's character if you want... I dun care.... -_- I'm so sleepy...

Van sighed a lot more heavily than he usually did, he had only one answer for Trini and she wasn't going to like it, but regardless of how little she liked it she had the right to know.

Van: We didn't know... [Sighs again] I was kept completely in the dark regarding Sam after we got home, I just hit brick walls wherever I went. [Sits down next to Trini] I had heard rumours but I dismissed them, but it seems that they were all true... [Turns to Sam and shakes his head] Sam I'm so sorry, please forgive me...

Van got up off the bed and walked up to the nearest wall, he was so angry at those red-tape covered bastards, he was Sam's friend and they hadn't told him about his problem. Van slammed his fist off the wall with such force that he could actually hear his wrist break, the pain was nothing compared to the pain he felt for betraying Trini. Walking slowly over to the medical devices he had left on a tray for treating Trini, he removed a small device that looked like a silvery cone. This was one of sciences newest breakthroughs but he really could care for the mechanics at this moment, pointing the thin glowing end over his wrist, a number of pulsing sounds later Van moved his wrist as though it had never been broken.

He looked back over at Trini, she'd gasped when he broke his wrist but sat silently now, a look of contemplation on her face. Allen was pacing the room in a similar mood, his chain of thoughts interrupted by Van's little outburst, Sam on the otherhand had stayed sobbing after Van's apology, he knew they would never have done anything to hurt him, not on purpose anyway. Van sat back in the chair behind his desk, placed his hand on his forehead and just sighed, it had been a troubling day and they weren't even off the ground yet...

Becoming restless, Gabriella decided to take a walk around. The doors opened and she stepped out. Looking around, no one seemed to pass by. With a deep breath in, Gabriella made her way to the Mess Hall. She noticed two crew members and knew that one of them was Ana. Without making noise, she slipped away and made her way to the security room, the one place that gave her a feel of comfort and sanctuary. She entered and all was quiet.

Closing the door behind her, Gabriella sat in one of the chairs that faced the many screens. She ran her fingers across the cold metal of the table and smiled. She was back where she belonged. She was back with the undesired danger, the raw emotions of fire, and the pure essence of chaos that reigned in that one room.

Gabriella relaxed and sat back, closing her eyes for a moment, remembering the days she spent with her SWAT team. The intense heat that breezed by, the raging fear that thinned the blood, and the emotions of fear, passion, and self-control that intertwined with each other, while each and every member kept their eyes only on the target.

With a sigh, she opened her eyes and took her recorder out, reminding herself of this momentous memory. A smirk traveled across her face and the ice of the metal rushed her back to reality.

"Well, then. Let the games begin."

Trini held her head down, and sighed to herself. She couldn't really say anything to Sam, Allen or Van, so she took the time to jst think. What could she say? What could she do?
It happened and know she knows whats going on. She stood up after a few moments and walked over to Sam, she looked at him as he stared back tears in his eyes. She smiled at hi and nodded her head.

"I forgive you Sam."

She held his hands for a moment and let them go. She glanced over to Van who caught her gaze and held it.She moved over to him and noted the blame he was holding in them. She didn't know how to react. But at the same time she noted another look one she could not yet describe. It made her feel comfort and yet nervous as he continued to look and then stand. Before she could say a word he held out his arms. She joined him in the seemingly friendly embrace. She didn't know how long they stood there in each others arms but all she could do while she was there was thank him.

Van remainded silent. He just held her. Soon their embrace broke and Trini went past Allen and touched him on the shoulder.

"It okay Allen."

Nothing else would come from her mouth and she began to move out of the med bay. This was just the start of it, and she knew it. Now the real trouble began. She moved on through the doors and they hissed clsed behind her. She stood there for a moment stunned and then began to look around for Ana. She had to thank her too. She moved quietly through the halls, her mind leaving behind what had happened, focusing in what was to come.

She laughed softly, reading the stack of papers that had long since been forgotten. Then she rose to her feet and noted that the pants she was wearing were heavy, thick, clasped along the sides, nice and comfortable......fit smoothly around the hips... And then she looked in the mirror.

A little girl, her hands horribly blackened by fire, reached out to give Avlen a hug.

"Avey!"

Avlen screamed at the sight of her baby sister, calling her by her nickname, and tumbled backwards onto the floor. Her back would have crashed against her office door, but it opened immediately, thus, resulting in her splatted flat down on her back in the middle of the hallway.

She looked up and the bright lights assailed her vision. She screwed them shut and threw one hand over her eyes. A starburst of light exploded in her brain, and not from her concussion. She also felt, for one fleeting second, the disgusting taste of overripe apricots and bleach.

"...too bright."

Trini was just rounding the corner when she noticed something on the floor. Something that sounded like it was yammering. She cautiously proceeded and found Avlen Arboreal flat on her back, looking at the ceiling as if counting sheets of metal.

"Avlen?"

"Hi Trini. Don't mind me. Just enjoying the view."

Marcus and Steffanie sat in silence for some time while she drank her milk and honey. He was avoiding her eyes because he didn?t want her to see that he was somewhat nervous and unsure of what to do next, he thought back to a few hours ago when she had come up to talk to him and he had acted the fool, he?d decided that he wouldn?t act like that again, however impossible it might be. A few more moments passed and Marcus was the first to speak.

Marcus: ?Hey, d?you want to get something to eat, I know we were gonna before Trini and Sam.....? His voice drifted off but he was looking at her right in the eyes so she knew he hadn?t lost any of his confidence in the idea. She smiled the smallest smile before answering.

Steffanie: ?Yes, all right then?

He got up first and offered her a hand to help her stand up. With a swoosh the door opened allowing the pair to walk out, the only other people in the hall way were Trini and Avlen, both of them gave a raised eyebrow when the saw Marcus and Steffanie walking out of the same quarters but they disappeared quickly as they rounded the corner to the mess-hall.

Once they reached the doors they were in the same position they had been a few hours ago, except this time Marcus was slightly more sure of himself.

Marcus: ?After you? He said offering his hand toward the door showing he wished for her to go in first.

Trini laughed looking at Avlen as she laid on the floor, and then knelt down closer to take a look at her. Before she could say any else they both looked as they heard another door his open and shut. Trini, whose vision had not yet fully cleared couldn't see them well and only turned back to Alven as the two began moving down the hall.

Trini turned her head back at once to Alven and looked at her as she laid on the ground.

"So what's it look like?" Trini asked.

"What?!" Alven face focused back on Trini's.

"You said you were 'enjoying the view', so tell me how it looks."

Alven pondered her thoughs for a moment and tried to sit up. But she found herself getting dizzy as she moved.

"Thought you hit your head. C'mon lets get you to your office."

Trini, not in the best of shape helped Alven to her feet, Trini now suppresing the feels of her concussion stood easily and helped her walk into the office where alven sat behind her desk, and Trini took a seat infront. Resting her head on the back of the chair.

"So how'd ya fall?" Trini asked, her thoughts coming out calmly as she gave her self a chance to relax and rest, before Allen called them once again. She wasn't too much on details but she had to make sure Alven was okay before she left her, but Trini didn't feel like being alone either.

Avlen sat patiently while Trini examined the gruesome looking lump on the back of her head. She was very thankful she had short hair.....otherwrise the inspection would've been a bit more difficult.

"Well.....I was sitting in my office, when I stood to look in the mirror and saw my baby sister. She was reaching out for a hug, but she startled me so badly I feel backwards. Normally the door would've caught me, but I guess it was the floor's turn instead."

".....right."

Avlen squirmed uncomfortably. Not only was Trini capable of peering directly into her mind, she was also able to hear the falsehood in her voice. ...so. Trini had ears that heard.

"Her hands had been dipped in fire. They were black, stained, irreversible damage. And I smelled Vexxon gas before I hit my head."

"Vexxon gas. That's extremely odd. There's no Vexxon on board."

"That we know of."

The Communications specialist turned her head and looked at Trini carefully. She smiled pleasantly into Trini's face and the two had a quick moment of understanding. Then she turned and hunched her shoulders over a bit.

"Why your baby sister?"

"I was her legal guardian until she died of cystic fibrosis. She used to call me Avey." Nostalgia swept over Avlen's features, but she swept it back where it came from.

"Did you love her a lot?"

"Bunches."

Trini and Avlen sighed at the same time, then caught themselves and laughed. Avlen stood to her feet and put an hand to Trini's ribs, barely touching them.

"How bad is it?"

"Breathing is...harder. But not impossible. Your head probably is in the same shape as mine."

"Oh horror."

"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?!"

Silence...then uproarious laughter.

Van's head ached after all that had happened within the last 24 hours, between fighting dealing with Sam attacking Trini and these wicked headaches he'd been getting since the Bladerunner Van was just feeling run-down. Walking over to the beverage machine he waited slowly for it to fill his cup with something caffinated, as much as he disliked the taste of coffee right now he could care what he got. He rubbed his finger tips against his temples in a vain attempt to keep the pain in some way tolerable but lately that was becoming harder and harder.

Walking slowly over to a rack of chemicals next to his desk he removed a liquid compound he knew to be a neural pain killer, he must have been taking two or three shots of the stuff a day at this stage. Easing the hypospray to his neck he winced as it's needle pierced the skin and delivered the pain killer, he could fell the effect almost instantly as the pain in his head melted into something tolerable at the back of his mind. Sipping slowly away at his tea his wondered if he'd come back from this mission, would anyone come back from this mission...

Suddenly and without warning the pain in his head increased to such a level that he cried out in pain, gripping his skull with both hands he could hear nothing but the voice in his head.

Voice: I'll see you soon... brother.

Van could feel a pair of arms wrap around him as he fell to the floor but anything after that was consumed by the darkness...

|-In the Mess Hall-|

"Well, you should sing more often. It would help sooth people," Jako stood from the chair.

Ana blushed slightly and closed the refridgerator. She found a red apple and began to shine it on the belly of her shirt.

"Thank you..again," Ana twisted the apple, admiring the rich color, "Please excuse me. I have thousands of sheets of paper to sort out."

"With displeasure," Jako bowed mockingly and held his arm towards the door.

Ana smiled and left the Mess Hall.

|-A couple of minutes later-|

Ana tossed the apple in the air and watched it fall. Her hand reached out to catch it, but her eye lost contact. Rather, her eye fell upon Van. He was clutching his head. Ana furrowed her eyebrows in confusion and started towards him, allowing the apple to hit the floor.

"Van, are you-"

Van crumpled against the vending machine.

"Van!" Ana gasped and scooped the shaking doctor into her arms before he crashed into the metal grated floor.

"Van, Van..Answer me," Ana slowly and gently sunk to the floor, cradling him.

Van spoke no words, his now streaking tears informed Ana that he was in pain. His breathing was heavy and slow, shaking at random. Beads of sweat trickled down his forehead and cheeks. Ana wiped his brow with her sleeve.

"Please Van, say something," panic fluttered in Ana's breast.

Van's face drained of all color, his skin chilled. He looked at Ana and began to move his lips. A silent whisper, raspy and breathless, escaped his mouth.

"What?" Ana leant over to get her ear closer, her soft curls grazed Van's face.

Van couldn't feel anything beyond the pain, he knew somebody was with him but he had no idea who it was, he tried to move his lips but all that came out was air. His whole body was shaking at this stage, the pain was unlike anything he had ever experienced or read about, his eyes had role up into their sockets at this stage so he couldn't even see. The darkness called to him, "Brother" the voice had said, but it was not David, David was still in Ireland and it wasn't his voice, Van knew who the voice belonged to but he dare not utter it for fear he was proven correct in his assumptions.

Fighting all the pain that wracked his body he forced his eyes to open to a tiny degree, his vision was blurry but she was close enough for Van to make her out. Ana.. it was Ana, her face was gone so pale... like death, her soft hair brushed against his cheeks. His lips trembled again with greater force, this time he managed to force out some sound, he wanted for her to get help but all that came out was incoherent mumbling. He could feel her fear, she blamed herself for the Bladerunner something Van hadn't, nor had anyone else who survived, tears were running down her cheeks at this stage.

She was looking directly into his partially open eyes, lifting one feeble hand that he still had some control over he placed it against her face to wipe away the tears. He didn't know what was going to happen to him, he doubted anyone did, the harrowing echo of the voice played over his mind again... "Brother"... his eyes closed again though he hoped not for the last time. He had gained enough feeling in his lips to pass out a whisper, Ana was leaning close, desperately trying to hear something, anything.

Van: [Softly] Don't... blame... yourself...[Lapses into unconsciousness]

------------

Basically I intend for Van to lapse into a coma for the beginning of the mission until they reach Deimos, I'm working a few things out with Corey in regard to this and I'll just let on the the "Voice" plays a large role in it.

Just as a heads up, DragonsBlood is no longer with us. The supervision of his death has been given to Raiha.
???
Ana's voice roared across the comm system. Allen shot straight up from his restful horizontal postion upon his bed. He was up and moving before he even realized his body was cold and sweating. He raced down the hall, knocking over Jako as he exited his room. He held up a hand signifying appology and Jako nodded furiously as he got up. Allen bounded into the medical bay and fell to his knees at Van and Ana's sides.

Allen- "What's going on?!" Ana shook her head.

Ana- "I don't know! I just came in here and saw him like this!" Allen flipped up Vans eyelids to reveal nothing but whites. He checked his pulse, slow but regular. His skin was cold and clammy.

Allen- "Ok... Ok..." Allen ran a hand through his hair, which was just beginning to grey at the roots. "Ok, help me lift him onto a bed. We'll scan him and see what's wrong..." Ana lifted his shoulders and Allen his feet and they postioned him on a bed. Allen pulled out the scnning device and moved it over Van's head, the blue beam reading every synapse of his brain. A few seconds passed by and a small window appeared on an adjacent panel. It read... "Coma. Fiures." Allen typed in a clarify command, tbu there was nothing to clarify. "Shit... Comas are still as mysterious as they were a hundred years ago..."

Ana- "What can we do?"

Allen- "We can move him with a levi-bed to the gel tanks. We blast off in half an hour..." Allen walked over to an intercom as Ana pulled a levi-bed out of a closet. He pushed the talk button. "Everyone, this is Captain Chubb. Please make your way to the gel tanks. We blast off in thirty minutes and counting." The two loaded Van onto the levi-bed and floated him down the corridors to the stasis room.

" I haven't had a laugh like that in a while." Trini said their laughter soon subsiding and her head beginning to ache a bit more than usual. She collapsed in a chair and held her temple for a moment, feeling the effects from her concussion finally come upon her.

She studied Avlen's face for a while gathering a little bit of her personality from her face. She kept looking and only a small smile creeped on her face, thinking on how she had misjudged her.

"So Avlen, I hear people see you as the anti-social one?"

Avlen's mood shortly changed as she blinked so did her facial expression.

"Don't take any offense dear," Trini tried to make up for the comment, sitting straight up in her seat, "I'm not judging you, just trying to see you take on the matter."

Avlen's voice began to rumble in her throat, starting to make up a few words to say, but soon the intercom cracked on. Ana's voice was heard calling for help.

"Shit what is it now?" Trini stood up and walked to the door. Avlen stayed seated.

"I'll be along," her voice rang momentarily as the doors hissed opened and Trini stepped partway through.

"Okay," Trini responded, knowing her question had hit a sore bone in Avlen body. "About my question, I just asked cause... it reminded me of how I used to be. Feels good to have someone you can relate to a lil, you know?"

Trini passed out the doors and on down the hall where she heard the next anouncement by Allen.

She sighed inwardly to herself, hoping that Ana's alarm was a false one. She moved quickly to the gel tanks. She moved along and the path towards them, her head spinning and thinking on a few things. Her headache slowly worsened, but she was happy that she'll be asleep soon, that way when she wakes up it'll be gone and the physical signs of the concussion diminished, hopefully gone.

As she moved down the hallway she heard both Allen and Ana's voice. She turned back to look at them and saw a levi bed between them. She stood still in the hallway looking at them catch up to her.

"What happened Allen? Did you and Sam have another fight?" She smiled gently, but Allens demeanor said something more serious.

"Its Van," he stopped the bed allowing her to look at him.

Trini's eyes scanned his body climbing to his face. She then looked at Ana and Allen. "What happened to him?"

She checked for a pulse and his breathing, both present and looked at his pupils as Ana related the story.

Trinis could only stand stunned as Ana told her he was in a coma.

"And we found this also," Trini looked at the small vial in Allen's hand. She took it and examened the name. " It was in his pocket, Trini. Maybe you can explain."

The three of them continued to walk, but at a slower pace. She kept looking at the name and size of the vial, trying to figure why he would use it.

"Well it's a pain killer, shuts down specific neurotransmitters in the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system. Very strong medicine, more so for those who are close to death and want a med to ease them as they pass on."

She continued with her explaination of the drug, known as Neurosin, and its usual side effects and extreme instances of if a user overdoses,i.e., respiratory depression and lessened stimulatory response, but never a coma. She worried if Van had mixed drugs causing a very toxic side effect, but only two other drugs were likely to cause it and they were found in medicines that weren't on the ship at this time.

She pocketed the drug and kept moving with Ana and Allen on to the gel pods.

"But why would he take something like that?" Ana vocalizing the thoughts Trini was going through in her head.

"I can only speculate he was in pain." Her eyes glancing back to his face. "Only he really knows."

Van knew he wasn't awake anymore, he'd lapsed into a coma shortly after being found by Ana, he hoped she wasn't in too much pain after what happened, the last thing he wanted to do is cause people pain. He knew that comas were unpredictable things and that more than likely they'd put him in stasis for the duration of the mission or until he woke up... if he even woke up. He found that his pain had subsided to a degree that he could no longer feel it, opening his eyes he scanned the vicinity half expecting to see himself lying dead on a levi-bed... that wasn't what he saw.

Voice: Hello brother, it's good to finally meet you.

Van: [Breathing more quickly] It's not possible, you're not real...

Voice: [Sneering] Oh but I am, you know it deep down, I'm just confirming it fo you.

Van found himself standing in the middle of a great white place of some kind, white endless in all directions, nothing except for Van and the owner of the voice that had caused him so much pain. Van shut his eyes hard hoping the apparition would disappear and he'd be back on the Ship but there was no change in their environment, the figure had an amused look on his face and began to walk towards Van arms wide as if he wanted to hug him.

Van: [Almost shouting in fear] Stay back !!!

Figure: Why ? There can be no secret among us brother, you of all people should know that.

Van: [Gripping his head] GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY HEAD, YOU ARE NOT REAL !!!

Figure: [Equally loudly] SILENCE YOU FOOL, I AM REAL, AS REAL AS YOU ARE. I have brought you here for one simple reason: Information, give it to me and I'll let you wake up, you'll be back with all your friends and you can die in peace on Deimos.

Van: [More bravely] If there are no secrets between us they why do you want my knowledge surely you can get it yourself.

Figure: [Malevolently] All right we'll do this the hard way...

Van's eyes snapped open in the real world, but it was not Van who did it, Allen looked down in surprise to see Van grab his arm with his hand, looking down into Van's eyes Allen realised that it was not Van who had grabbed his arm. The same voice which tortured Van escaped through Van's lips, a message for Allen, one the voice advised him to heed.

Van/Voice: [In the same malevolent voice] Turn back, or prepare to face the tortures of Hell...

Van's body returned to it's comatose state and left those who had been with him bewildered and frightened...

I regret to inform you all, that I will not be present on the OB. I have no idea as to when I'll return, seeing as how I don't have a PC at home anymore. So, until I do get one, please, play my character justfully. Corey, Kane, I don't care who does it. You can have her go insane, die, live, whatever you like. I won't be able to finish this sequel with you all.....again. Damnit, I wasn't able to finish the first one either! This sucks T_T.

Of course, I will inform everyone of my return. Perhaps with a stellar RPG.

'til then,

Annie

Annie has given me permission to butcher Ana. Kindly help me. While I also enroll in courses and take classes and wonder if they're applicable to my major.

Pandemonium would've ensued, but the Captain had the presence of mind to raise his voice and call everyone to order.

At that point, Ana had shrunk back from the comatose form of Van and Avlenn had stepped forward. She leaned down over his body and whispered loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Gloria del Solei."*

She stood up and walked to the gel pods, standing to attention. Her smile was present, but her eyes betrayed a deep sorrow. Already, two had begun to fall. And she felt a deep underlying fear that she'd be next. Her steeled figure was only made that way by a quote that sprang unbidden to her mind. Fear knocked. Faith answered. No one was there.

*To God be the glory.

Steffanie and Marcus made it into the room in quick succession. Steffanie had a confused and worried look, while Marcus looked relieved.

The shrink heard Avlen?s words, and scrunched up her brow. Gloria? Soleil? Huh? I must be translating from the wrong language. She shook herself mentally, and came up to Trini.

?Trini? What happened? I was in the Mess Hall and heard Ana and Allen over the intercom.? Her voice was quiet.

Trini glanced at her. ?Van took a very strong pain killer, and it knocked him out ? we have no clue as to why he did it, though.? Steffanie nodded, and looked over at Van?s limp form.

The doctor looked about at everyone?s confused, scared, worried expression?s. She stepped back, staying out of the way. This is interesting. First Sam?s little skirmish, then Van. What in the seven hells have I gotten myself into?

OOC: My posting might be sparse, as I am trying to get ready for high school. It?s taking up a lot of my time, as well as tutoring my yonger brother, and taking care of a sick mom, a sick cat, and five other pets. I am also trying to recover from six straight hours of skating resulting in pulled and sore muscles. Move my character around as need be, and I?ll post when I can. Thanks!

"Everyone, this is Captain Chubb. Please make your way to the gel tanks. We blast off in thirty minutes and counting."

Watching the monitors, Gabriella had heard Allen's voice. She had seen the fall that Van had taken before. But, remembering the captain's words, she stood to move, but saw that there was other movement down near the Sick Bay. Wondering what was going on around there, Gabriella zoomed in onto the figure. It was still unclear as to who or what was lurking there.

Knowing she had 20 minutes to get to the gel tanks, Gabriella convinced herself that it was nothing, but still kept record of it in her mind. She stepped out of the room and hurried to the gel tanks. She saw that the others hurried as well. She also knew that others' would have arrived at the tanks before she had for some were with the doctor.

Arriving at the gel tanks, Gabriella saw that everyone was gathered around gel tanks. With a sigh, she entered and walked to Captain Chubbs.

"Captain, there's something I wish to speak to you about."

"In just a moment. We have to get everyone here first."

"Sir, this cannot wait. Someone is in the sick bay and it is not one of our crew members."

Allen- "...what are you talking about." Allen and Ana had already gotten Van into one of the pods. It had filled with an odd green semi-solid, obviously some new kind of GR-Gel (GravityRisistant-Gel), and had hardened around him, beginning to maintain his vitals for the trip. He had stripped to the waist, his upper half bare but his lower still clad in the black jeans he'd donned in the morning. The room wasn't exactly cold, but a shiver worked it's way up Allen's spine.

Gabriella- "I was coming here and I saw someone in the medical bay... It wasn't one of you. I'm... I'm sure of it." Allen walked over to his locker and grabbed his shirt. He threw it back on with thoughts whirrling through his head. He went over to a small and extremely inconspicous locker and motioned for Gabriella to follow.

Allen- "Almost everyone is here. A few are not, but none of them are over in the medical bay section." He opened the locker and handed her a small pistol. "These fire stun bullets. The bullets bounce off the skin but inject a tranquilizer that immediately knocks out anything on earth." He grabbed one for himself and cocked it back. "If you see anyone, shoot. I'd feel better shooting one of our own than leting someone else roam free." Allen looked around the room. Those that were not yet in stasis were staring. "Go back to your prep. We'll be back in time." No one moved. "That's an order." They walked out of the door, heading for the medical bay.

Damn with Annie gone we're down another player. Raiha dear I'd ask you to spare her until we get to Deimos so we can have a little fun...;-). I must be the only person on OB to be able to post while in a coma.

------------------

Van could feel himself being levered into the GR-Gel it was a viscous material but without it they'd be liquefied at the speeds the ship was travelling at. "Deimos" he thought, "The rock where I'm to face my doppelganger", his last encounter had not been productive, but then again none of their encounters been. His mind travelled back almost a month when he'd first begun to hear that wretched voice echo in his skull but until now it had been but a formless voice. He remembered sitting on one of the surgical beds of the Bladerunner, it had only been a matter of hours since Allen had rescued him...but for Van his pain was just beginning.

He felt something akin to ice run down his spine the first time... a warning, if so he hadn't realised it... at the time all he could think about was what happened to him. At first it was only a whisper, malevolent in nature, in the beginning Van had dismissed it as his imagination but the voice grew in strength and wrath and thus began his headaches. Van had to dismiss the voice in it's infancy, he'd had worse to deal with, a fight for their lives against an enemy who they couldn't see. Once they got back to Earth Van knew that he hadn't been imagining the voice, it became louder and louder, from a vile whisper to a snide and malicious laugh.

Then began the headaches, at first Van found them tolerable, a mere inconvenience but obviously he wasn?t getting the message and their severity was increased. Without two days of getting back to Earth he begun taking small doses of the most powerful neural suppressant on the planet... Neurozine, something he had pioneered in research was now his only weapon against this phantom who haunted his mind. He knew that Neurozine was still an experimental drug but he'd managed to acquire a supply from old colleagues. The voice was gagged, angered but unable to inflict it's vengeance on the good Doctor.

But now it had learned to overcome even Neurozine, he had underestimated it and now he was in a coma with only it for company, a vile wretched ghost that had imprisoned him in his own body, taunting him. Van felt a hard tug on his body and new that it meant the jets on the ship had fired... "Now on to death" it whispered...
