[b]Chapter 1 - The Warriors[/b]
Thousands and thousands of years ago. There were warriors known as Dragon Riders. Following the code of the Riders, they were blessed with incredible magic and a long life known to let the Rider live as long as eight hundred to one thousand. A Dragon Rider is chosen by destiny, not by a person. The chosen one is chosen by a dragon egg. When the dragon egg is touched by the person, the one's hand would be burned with the insignia, gedwëy ignasia. That mark has made a pact. A pact between the two beings.

Then they would train with other future Dragon Riders. After the training, the veteran Dragon Riders would teach them magic. After their lessons, they were sent missions and soon defend the Kingdom of Alagaësia.

[b]Chapter 2 - The Corrupted One[/b]
Not all Rider was noble. A rider named Galboratrix went to Urgal territory, confident that his magic and skill will protect him. Unfortunately, the Urgals not only hurt him VERY badly, but his dragon was killed. He retreated north to the spine. When he reached Carvahall, farmers saw him and rescued the rider. After his recovery, he went back to Rider HeadQuarters, blaming his dragon of his failure. He then took a black dragon and went to Ra'zac territory. He told that the Dragon Riders will come to their territory to kill everyone. The Ra'zac teamed up with him and went to lead the fall of the Riders. All of the loyal Riders were dead. The rest joined Galboratrix and they followed him until he was the king of Alagaësia....

[b]Chapter 3 - Turmoil[/b]
The corrupted king then on ruled the world with an iron fist. He sought to command every living rider in Alagaësia. He sent 2 Ra'zacs to the Spine. The most dreaded place in the northwest. The Ra'zac's mission was to get the dragon egg there. BUt they were stopped by Urgal's and elves.... At the end of the battle, the egg dissappeared, and one farmer boy picked it up and re-lived the rider's legend. He soon revived the Dragon Riders, under the new name "The Union".

By that time, other people has found out that they could pact with other magical creatures. That discovery helped MANY people that couldn't pact with dragons. [/i][/center]

[center][b]Pact[/b][/center]

[i]A pact is a bond between 2 different beings. Humans and Dragons, Humans and Faries, even Humans and Golems. A pact is made when the human is marked by the gedwëy ignasia. Gedwëy ignasia's are different for each creature to make a pact with. Which will alter your abilities....[/i]

If there's any other creatures that you want to pact with, include it in your sign-up sheet. If it's a creature that I don't know, then I'll PM you and you shoudl PM back with a description.

There's a LIMIT in dragon-pact people. 3 not including me. This is because Dragons are very popular creatures.

Also, if you didn't RPG with me, send a sample of one of your RPG post. I will only accept people with some writing skills. Writing skills as in...

- Can write AT LEAST 2 paragraphs
- Don't use phone talk(How r u doing? I am doing gr8t!!!)

Description: Looks human with pointy ears. Common elves have green eyes.

-They're known to be at least 5x stronger and faster then HUmans
- Strongest Race in the world

Description: Shades wear hoods. However, rumors say that if you look at them without the hood, you will see the grim reaper....

Note: Shades can only pact with Golems, however most Shades prefer not to bond with a Golem. Shades are only with Galboratrix, or they're neutral.

[I]Urgals[/I]
-INSANELY STRONG!!!!!!! (Yes I had to put it in all caps, because they're strong)
-However, they're not smart and they're slow.

Description: THey're like beasts. Look like pigs with armor on.

Note: I don't recommend on choosing this race, however, if anyone signs up for this race, they wil have a place in the hall of fame :). Because I included this race becuase of one thing. Humor. Urgals in this universe tend to drink a lot and do really funny stuff. XD. This is a good way to funny up the RPG. Sometimes I will let an Urgal die/go to war. Most likely they will die. XD. However, I will let you live if you want to stay in the RPG.

Urgals are susually with Galboratrix for a reason. But some Urgals chosoe to be neutral or join the Vardan. Who's the Vardan you say? You'll find out later hehehehe.

Optional Ability: Humans are more compatible with a Dragon. Elves are VERY weak with a dragon partner.

Optional Ability: Elves are more compatible with a Fairy.

-Can only manipulate/lift up rocks
-Hits harder then Dragon Riders.
-Can only talk to the golem in their minds. But other people if the person initiated the connection

Fact: Shades can make a pact with a Golem. However it wil be a weak connection, since Shades are usually a "lone wolf" so to speak.

I'd probably join anyways, but the inclusion of [i]Drakengard[/i] elements pretty much makes me have to. I love that game. I actually tried an RPG, Sealers of Kartan, that used the pact system, but it didn't really work out (I'm currently writing it as a story).



Name: Seuneu

Age: 25

Weapon: Two metal poles, which he keeps strapped to his back

Side: Revived Dragon Riders (or Union, which I'm going to use because it's quicker to type)

Appearance: A very tall 6 foot 5. He has short black hair, and brown eyes. Muscular, but not bodybuilder-type muscular. He works out, practices with his poles. He's a fighting man, and he looks it.

Birthplace: Bullridge. His family moved to Uru Baen when he was 10.

Bio: At the age of 14, Seuneu's parents were arrested and executed. They had been involved in a resistance movement with the goal of overthrowing Galboratrix. They were caught. Seuneu would have been taken to the orphanage, but he ran away.

After a couple days in the wilderness, Seuneu ran into a hunting party. The head of the party recognised him. After he ran, a price was put on his head, unusual for one of his age, but he was thought to be with the resistance (why else would he have ran?). He tried
to escape again, but hunters know how to track animals, and that skill allowed them to track Seuneu easily.

Seuneu thought he was done for when he felt heat. He turned around and saw the hunters in the middle of a fire. He thought it was a dragon, and that the hunters would be eaten, and with him as dessert. He was wrong.

The dragon had no desire to eat Seuneu. It disliked hunters, which is why it killed the hunting pary, and it hated Galboratrix for his killing of the riders and their dragons. That's why it agreed to a pact with Seuneu. They both hated Galboratrix. They had a common goal: his death.

Over the years, Seuneu became very skilled with his poles, which were his father's, and the only thing he took with him when he ran (he thought a weapon would be useful), and with the magical powers he gained from the pact. He joined the Union when he discovered it, because they were also opposed to Galboratrix. And Seuneu wanted Galboratrix dead.

[B]Bio:[/B] Saenia has always been a large fan of dragons and adores them deeply, wishing she had wings herself so she could cut through the air of the skies. Saenia's father was a dragon tamer in his younger days, but doesn't do it as much because he's old. When Saenia was at the tender age of four, her father started to teach her things about dragons and she listened intently to his stories of the dragons he'd met in travels.
One night, there was a large storm and there was heavy rain. Saenia and her mother waited in the living room for her father to arrive. Finally he did and he had something cradled in his arms, wrapped in his jacket. Saenia's mother jumped up to get him a towel and Saenia ran to see what her father was carrying. He unveiled it to be a baby dragon. He told her that her mother had died and it was helpless. Saenia immediately bonded with the small purple dragon and made a pact with it, then she decided to name her Sideria. Sideria and Saenia grew at the same pace, difference being that Sideria grew bigger than Saenia quickly.
Saenia's father passed on the skills of how to take care of dragons as he started to get older so she could take care of the other dragons housed in the family stables. Saenia and Sideria are still best friends and they've learned to communicate by mind speech, the way dragons usually conversed with their partners. He also helped her in combat skills, both armed and hand-to-hand combat, teaching her a large range of martial arts.
Saenia's mother helped her with the magical powers that she had gained from the pact. Teaching her how to harness it and control it to do her will.
When Saenia was out with Sideria one day, her house was raided by Galboratrix soldiers and they took her parents, thinking they were part of the Revived Dragon Riders because their family kept so many dragons. Saenia later learned that they had been executed with another couple that was arrested from suspicion. Saenia was greived and freed the family dragons, telling them to escape. Then she packed her things and escaped with Sideria, hoping to find the group of Revived Dragon Riders.
When they found the group, Saenia decided to join because they were against the Galboratrix and she wanted revenge against them for wrongfully executing her parents when they'd done no harm to anyone. There, she discovered Seuneu, and she found that his parents were the other couple that were exectued along with her own parents. They became friends, both determined to get revenge against the Galboratrix Forces.

Name: Caligo Stropha, called Cal by most.

Weapon:

Throwing knives- Twelve ten inch steel blades, marked with the names of the twelve months on the blades. The blades them selves are wasp waisted, and the hilts are short and light, wrapped in black sharkskin leather. They are very top heavy to encourage spinning motion, and razor sharp to discourage enemies.

Side:Slightly undecided, leaning towards Galboratrix

Appearance: Standing 6', Cal cuts a dramatic figure with his deep green eyes and wavy black hair. He's not a "girly-man", but he wouldn't stand a chance in the Arnold Classic. He has a chiseled face, giving a sort of desperate appearance at times, and a grimly hopeful one at others.

Bio:

Caligo Stropha was born to an unwed mother. She never told him who the father was, and he grew up bitter towards her, with a growing hatred for this shade of a man who was his "father". Cal's mother died when he was only 8 years old, leaving him to fend for himself in the slums. He learned slieght of hand from a out of luck bard, and began making a small amount of money from his new skills. He saved for five years to buy passage with a merchant train to a town his mother had spoken of. That town was Carvahall. When he arrived with no mother or father, an old man had pity and took him in.

This man's name was Astutia Sagus, a retired adventurer. He taught Caligo many things- how to travel, throwing knives with precision, hand to hand combat, reading, writing, mathematics, history, geography, horseriding, ect. And as Caligo grew in strength, wisdom, intelligence, and skill, it seemed like the old man was being drained of his very soul. Sagus died the day that Caligo surpassed his ability to teach him, and Caligo spent forty days mourning the loss of the only person that had ever cared for him.

He was eighteen and alone, living in Astutia's house, and working on a local farm to stay alive. A little time passed, and as he was just starting to become a part of the village, nearly had enough money to live well, and finally felt like a part of something, Galboratrix's soldiers and the Union brought the war to his town. Now, Caligo was no fan of Galboratrix, but when a Union Dragon Rider's Dragon torched his house and killed the girl he was beginning to fall in love with, he was pissed. The Union Rider didn't do any of these things on purpose, it was collateral damage, but Stropha didn't see it that way.

In the ruins of his house, Cal found a small jeweled chest that he had never seen before. When he reached out to open it, his hand caught fire, but wasn't damaged. When it stopped, his left had had a scar that resembled some sort of symbol, although he couldn't read it. He then tried to open the box again, and found that he could. Inside were twelve throwing knives, and a striking little woman with wings. Seeing the mark on his hand, she introduced herself and explained to him about pacts and things.

Six years later, Cal and Aerith have become the best of friends, and now, at age 24, he is becoming restless. The passionate flame of revenge burns within him towards the Union, yet at the same time he is hesitant to side with Galboratrix because of his reputation.

Pact Partner: Female Fairy

Pact Partner Name: Aerith Iridia (C. gets a writing credit on the name)

Appearance: Aerith is roughly six inches tall, weighing less than four ounces. She has raven hair and ruby lips, and when she's pissed sparks fly from her finger tips. Her super tiny figure is well formed and complete with two gossamer wings, which are about two inches longer than her body. Iridia has tragic gray eyes.

She is very attached to Cal, and although he isn't aware of it, she beleives that they have a tragic romance going on. That said, anytime he gets close to a girl, even in friendship, Aerith becomes very mean and spiteful.

In combat situations, Aerith helps Cal in three distinct ways. She suppliments his magic power with her own, uses her well sharpened fingernails on his foes, and creates a illusionary smoke and mirrors effect on occasion to confuse the foes.

[B]City of Birth:[/B] Origin is of the Beor Mountains, but was found just outside of the city of Uru Baen by Galboratrix.

[B]Weapon:[/B] Her weapons are seemingly crude, but in actuality are deadly works of art. Made entirely from the bones of dragons and other creatures, Maeve keeps a collection of various assorted blades, able to wield them all with cunning and skill. However, her favorite is a pair of twin pikes, which revolve around her sad figure with deadly grace.

[B]Bio:[/B] With no memories from before her 12th birthday, Maeve was born under the full dominion of Galboratrix. Because there were no other memories for her, she isn't aware of any other life possible. She had been wandering the dark roads for as long as she could remember, alone and unwanted.

However, one day she heard a terrible scream in the sky, and looking upward, saw a great dragon made entirely of bone and skeleton. It rushed towards her, and before she could run, the dragon grasped her hand in its mouth, tearing the [I]gedwey ignasia[/I] into her palm. Still bleeding, she screamed and ran, only to turn as the dragon roared in pain and death. Galboratrix, in pursuit of this rebel creature that refused to serve him, had swooped down and savagely killed the dragon on another beast. The bones fell to the ground immediately, broken and lifeless.

Galboratrix, seeing the strange girl, made to kill her as well, but before he could do so, the ground seemed to rise up under them, uttering forth a golem of enormous proportions, of old stone and ruins, with the bones of the dragon seemingly mixed in to its earthly body. On its back was the [I]gedwey ignasia[/I], red from her blood, which had fled to the ground under her feet. It rose up to protect her, under an unspoken bond and pact it was unable to break. She was almost speechless.

Once again, Galboratrix paused, and seeing the strange girl, took an interest in the orphan. He took both the girl and the golem, and after a time, took to raise her in his service. Thus, he gave her the name Maestitia, or 'Sadness,' and she grew under his tutelage and doctrine. The golem, forever now her companion, she named Praecanus, or 'Premature Gray.' Her life thusfar has still been of lonely stillness, broken only by the orders and tasks that Galboratrix commands of her.

[B]Appearance:[/B] A gargantuan hulk of massive stone, earth, and bone, it's surprising what an intelligent mind that the golem can have. The mark of the [I]gedwey ignasia[/I] still remains on its back, but it is old and faded, and is not visible unless truly looked for. The bones of the dragon still are mixed in with its body, and many times it will collapse to the ground, and be unseen to the human eye, only to reform itself in a later shape.[/COLOR][/SIZE]

Weapon: A wide, polished oak staff, 8 feet in length. Inside is a sword, which part of the staff is the sheath, the handle of the blade being a marble stone polished to look like the staff. In its staff form, it can be used as a walking stick, blocking weapon, or a offensive weapon. In its sword form, it can be used as a normal sword. The blade is long, yet thin, and has only one sharp edge, similar to a katana. Its a variation of Ohkamis weapon. (Points off of me for lack of originality. Sorry!)

Bio: Oni was born on the outskirts of Galfni, and was raised by foster parents from the age of 3, since his parents had mysteriously dissappeared when he was that young. No knowledge was that they were dead, but no one knew if they were alive either. Oni was raised believing that his parents had died, but he had a funny feeling that they were not. At the age of 13, Oni was travelling through the mountains of Beor, gathering various roots and herbs that were found only in the mountains for his step parents, and as he started to head back home, he was ambushed by a pack of wolves that had eyed him since he left the safety of his town. Oni tried to run away from them, but the wolves were too fast for him and finally surrounded him. Just as they were about to leap in for the kill, a dragon, about the size of the house in which Oni lived in, suddenly flew in and in a quick landing swipe, most of the wolves were instantly killed. The rest ran off, afraid of this dragon that suddenly appeared. The dragon looked down to Oni, as a voice drifted in his head asking if he was okay. Oni shook his head, and answered to dragon, amazed that he was able to speak to him telepathically. From then on, Oni met up with the dragon, who called himself Omni, everyday. After hearing that the Union had dragon fighters, Oni and Omni decided to join, willing to fight along side them.

If you don't fill in the blank for race, you will be automatically a human. If you don't fill in the blank for "here you were born," if you are with the union, you are born in carvahall, and Galboratrix, born in Uru Baen. I will also do some pact bonuses tweeking. Making golem more useful.

Current Status:

My char: 5% (I need to get a pic of my dragon/name, Bio, weapon and appearance. So I didn't start it yet in other words LOL!!!) My char will be up around this week. I'm watching the olympics and beginning to start my game tournys.

Sign-up Ajustments: 98% (I'm not sure if I'm done tweeking this one yet.)

Plot Tweeking: 0% ( I got the idea of tweeking the plot. BUT WHAT PART!!!!!!!!! x_X. I'm gonna go read Eragon now. I'm rpobably going to remember some things.)

Hey I need help

All I know is that I am a dragon rider and My dragon's name is Glaedr. He is Emerald. I was born in Ellesméra and I was turned into a human and brought to a poor human family and lived until I turned 13and then I found a emerald dragon egg and It hatched and then I truned into an elf and the dragon took me to Ellesméra where I met my parents and now I am in training and now I am 14 and my dragon is a year old and he is verry cool.
