Myth: Soulblighters return [M - VL]

THE EVIL EYE

It's now over 100 years since Balor first appeared at the eastern edge of the civilized lands. His arrival was heralded by a great comet that grew in the sky and signaled doom to all life. With dark arts he raised up the Fallen Lords, sorcerer-generals like himself, bent to his will and desiring nothing but to lay waste to the living and rule over the blasted lands. Among their number were Shiver, the Deceiver, the Summoner, the Watcher and, most vicious and cunning of all, Soulblighter.

Leading a grim army of beasts, spirit creatures and the reanimated dead, the Fallen swept through Eastern villages and cities, destroying the great capital at Muirthemne and scattering the survivors. They passed the great continental range of the Cloudspine and flooded into the rich lands of the West. Only two of the great cities of the West still stood when our armies rallied.

Pursuing a plan of retaking strategic points and exploiting the weaknesses of the Fallen, Alric, last of the Nine protectors of the West, led a strike through the Fallen lines and directly for Balor himself. In a desperate gamble, Alric tricked Balor into exposing himself and cut off his head. Eluding Soulblighter, he brought it to the Great Devoid, a vast pit in the heart of the world, and threw it in to seal Balor?s fate.

Their leadership broken, most of the Fallen Lords were soon hunted down and destroyed by Alric?s armies. With Balor?s destruction, Soulblighter found himself defeated, but alive and free from Balor?s service. He escaped into the wilderness, to bide his time and look for an opportunity to return to his former power, to achieve the ambition that was denied his master.
Now sixty years have passed since the end of the Great War against the Fallen. Alric sits on the throne in the rebuilt city of Tyr. Warriors have returned to their villages, and allies like the elves to their homelands. Peace reigns and the land prospers.

At least it prospers until a warlock of great power decided to track down the resting place of both Soulblighter and the staff of the Magi. It was foolish because when he found the staff of the magi he did not quit in his search. Soulblighter ambushed the warlock and drained his power and stole the staff. Now with the power to create all the undead minions he needed, Guess what he did? He created legion upon legion of Undead and offered the Fetch a way home to get back to their plane in return of their continued servitude. The possible final war had begun.

Paladins and clerics fled before the nearly untunable undead. The dreaded Trow warriors fled from the north, the elves from their lands to the south. The dwarves were beseiged in their stone citys and the greatGnomes once more began to tinker with their great war-machines which have been almost destroyed via their long time without use.

King Alric has sent his messengers in search of five champions who are destined to stop Soulblighter and cast him into the great Devoid. He has sent for the destined five who are Reya Sukin and Talan of the elves, Blorn of the Trow, Sarai Taurer of the humans and Tuscov Wolfbane of the mixed blood. But in the prophecy ( Proberbly in the fine print) It is stated that one shall die, one shall go mad and the others will find success and greatness.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first postin the RPG starts in the wilderness where they have met the messenger and set off for Tyr ( obviously not together unless you state that the person has met up with others.) try and use this post to expand on the character as much as possible.

Sarai balanced herself against a tree in an attempt to catch her breath. She thought to herself" why the hell do I need to follow a bloody Trow about?"" He is almost as bad with directions as myself and it's not like either of us can ask for directions anyway". Blorn turned around and said " Why are ye stoppin?" " We got a lot of ground to cover".

At that moment a woman wearing the robes of an adviser of the king warped into the middle of clearing with a very frightened look on her face.
Advisor- I am looking for a Blorn or a Sarai Taurer
Blorn- And ye found them. Now what is it ye want?
Sarai- Ignore him milady, He is a bit impatient when he get's lost because of someone...
Blorn- Ye were the one who said it was a bad idea to go through thee world knot!
Advisor- Pax people, Pax. I have a message for you two.

Sarai- (brushes a few strands of hair away from her face) Ah, so we are important enough to get a message from the king. let's hear it
Blorn- ( Turns to face Sarai and whispers) I don't like this idea of yers. Royalty doesn't think very highly o warlocks or trow.
Salarai-(Ignores Blorn and turns to face the messenger) So what is this message that we are getting.
Advisor- The king requires your presence at the great cty of Tyr. He requires an audience. I must leave know. and the world knot will get you to Tyr quickly.

The Advisor then teleported away and left Blorn and Sarai standing in the clearing looking at where she was standing before.

Blorn- Ha. I told ye so. I told ye that the World Knot will teleport us somewhere but no. Ye had to go yer own way.
Sarai didn't say anything about this and started to travel back to the center of the forest with Blorn gloating behind her.

An hour later, Blorn and Sarai found themselves standing in the waiting room outside the audience hall of the castle waiting for themselves to be called in.

"Oh I'm late again, why is it whenever there's something important for me to do I'm always late" Talan scolded himself for his irresponsibility. Reya Sukin had surley already departed, so it was obviously up to him to get to the castle. "Lets see," Talan started to himself, "I should go South which should be......" Before he could answer himself a familiar voice boomed from behind him "You should have been up hours ago" The voice of non-other than the villiage elder. "I let you stay in the villiage, because your gift of speaking to animals has helped us prosper greatly....but that does not mean you can go around embarassing me like this.

Composing himself Talan turned to face the elder "My apologies sir, the night watch had greatly zaped my strength, and I needed a bit extra rest, I'll be able to catch up to Reya Sukin in no time" "Catch up to her!?, you should be honored that such an adventurer as Reya Sukin even considered being in the same party as you. You had better keep what little you ever have to say respectful, otherwise she'll probably make you into the hero who dies." Obviously the elder was a little upset at Talan, so Talan decided not to speak but just to leave, so he quckly gathered up his things and departed....

2hours later with the help of windbreaker, Talans befriended hawk, He was on his way, when suddenly a great flash of light appeared before Talan, completly blinding him. "Talan of the Elves, I am Asbora one of the kings advisors, the king has sent me to make your journey a bit easier just step into the portal in front of you"

Hesitantly Talan steped into the light, and with a flash he was in what appeared to be the waiting room directly outside of the kings courtroom. As he looked around and saw who must have been Blorn of the Trow and Sarai of the humans, deciding not to butt into their conversation, or more suitably bickering, Talan decided to just take a seat and wait for the audience with the king.

Tuscov kicked at the dirt. He was lost...again. He hated traveling through forests. Too many twists and turns. He glared at the same tree he had passed an hour ago.
"By all the hells!"
A flash from behind him forced him to whip around, sword ready. The stranger held up her arms disarmingly.
"Peace Tuscov. I mean no harm."
The half elf sheathed his blade. He bowed, staring at the messenger.
"Then I have no quarrel with ye. How is it that ye know my name?"
"I am a messenger from King Alric. He bids you come to Tyr."
Tuscov narrowed his eyes.
"And why would a king want a half blood?"
"Your questions shall be answered there. Please, step into the portal. It will make your journey faster."
Tuscov stepped carefully into the portal, sword still drawn. He found himself in a large room with three others. He sheathed the blade, staring about.
"Royalty...I truly wish it would leave me be sometimes..."
He stared at the others with amusement, chuckling slightly at some inner thought.

Blorn sat impatiently in his chair, It wasn't right that a King would wish to hold an audience with a Trow or a Warlock.
Blorn turned to face Sarai who was acting in the opposite way of Blorn, acting patient and quiet.

Blorn- Why would a king want to hold council with people like us?
Sarai- Well just shut the bloody hell up and we will find out.
Blorn- Ye know that a Trow is looked down upon in this places.
Sarai- Why wouldn't i know that?
Blorn- And a Warlock is not really liked either
Sarai- Well yes but......
Blorn- and I'll take none o yer bullshit abou Alric being a magician.
Sarai- Well he is.

Blorn turned to face the nearest person who was a elven ranger whose name he didn't know then turned again to see a Half Elf whose name he din't know either.
Blorn rolled his eyes and slid slowly into his chair and began to sleep.

Reya peacefully made her way to the gathering where the King Alric has summoned her and as well as others.

Reya: "Well that was pleasent...I wonder if Talan managed to make it on time (Giggled). Hummm....that Talan, he's always late and unpredictable. I just hope he doesn't make a fool of himself infront of the others."
Messenger: Well I believe Talan has made it before ye my dear(smiling). But the most important thing of all I led ye beautiful elf to the city of Tyr without a scratch."
Reya:"Well thank ye for the compliment. Wait! Talan made it before me? Well then he must be ready to become a hero.

Reya had made it safetly thanks to the messenger sent by the king and now she was entering the city of Tyr. She went where the gathering took place and made her way to Talan.

Talan shifted uncomfortably. He had dealt with many humans, and half elves. But the Trow were a far too deadly a race. Unpredictable in everyway, he had never ventured once in his travels to their lands....and their was a reason, he hated them...hated everything about them.
Blorn: "What ye lookin at?"
Talan: "Nothing, and I'll look wherever I want" Talan said trying to summon up all the courage he could "Reya get here soon please" he thought to himself.
Blorn: "Filthy elf, I'll beat the living snot out of ye" The Trow arrose to his feet and began advancing upon Talan.
"What have I gotten myself into this time?" Talan thought as he himself arrose and drew his blades....as the two neared the kings guards looked hesitantly on the scene, each knowing they would have no chance in a battle with the two...Clang quarterstaff and scimitars met as the scufle began...

Suddenly flames errupted from between the two...both of them turned to meet the newest opponent.
Sarai: "Sit down Blorn"
Tuscov: "Aye this is going to be a long journey, we do not need ye two at each others throats from the start"
Just then the door to the waiting room flew open, a beautiful elven girl walked in, as soon as she entered Blorn and Tuscov both rose to their feet, while as usual Talan just sat.

Talan: "Sit down you two, its only Reya," Talan said, as he usually does without thinking. He immediateally saw the error of his ways when he looked at her face...burning with anger and obviously ready to beat him sensless.
Reya: "Even the bloody Trow has more manners than ye Talan"
Blorn: "BLOODY TROW!?, I outta slaughter both you elves right this moment, wench"
Talan: "Don't speak to her like that, I'll cut your tounge out"
Talan took a minute to think about what he just said "Why on earth did I just speak up for Reya?"
Obviously Reya was stunned herself
Reya: "Thanks Talan...by the way, how did ye beat me here?"

Talans face grew red, but he quickly comprised a story about a little short cut he took.
Sarai: "HAHA, that be a great story lad, but tell her the real story about ye's little helper"
Talan felt his face grow red hot
Talan" What on earth do you mean??"

Tuscov sighed. They had only just met, and they were all at each others throats. Typical of any of their races. Tuscov sheathed his blade, sitting down. He tried to ignore the others. He had a feeling that he really wouldnt like traveling with any of them, being the only half breed there.
"Maybe I shouldnt have come here...not if all there is are STUPID RACES FIGHTING EACH OTHER!"
The others paused at his outburst. He avoided their eyes, cursing the fact that he had let his temper win.
"We should not quarrel...over trivial matters such as race! Are you all really that petty? I personally dont give a damn if your Trow or Elf! You all seem to have forgotten that there are much larger problems troubling this land other then which damned race is BETTER!"
He glared at the others a while longer before slumping back into his chair.
"People who think they are better then others because of bloodline are not worth air." Tuscov stared at his feet, obviously lost in his own thoughts.

Reya suddenly walked up to Tuscov and stretched her hand out for a shake, hopefully he won't reject.
Reya: I do agree with you and I'm quite sorry about ye calling of that trow 'like if I give a damn about ye filty creature'
Tuscov: Well apology eccepted. I'm glad that somebody can come to their senses (shakes Reya's and).
Reya: Thank ye.

Reya then walked toward Talan and put her delicate hand on his sturdy shoulder.

Reya: Well Talan.....it seems that you actually got up in a good mood to stand up for me (blushing). Of course you still had the nerve to lie to me! You idoit! How the hell can ye lie to me? Can't you just stop trying to fake being a hero and actually be one? Huh.....Anyways....I still thank ye, but next time I'll punish thee for lieng.

"Next time I'll punish ye for lieing to me"

Those words struck a fear into Talan he had never known before. He had worked hard to bring himself up high enough to bring himself into Reya's favor...and just as he seems to he does something to screw it up.

Talan: "Why do I have to be such a screw up.....No I won't make another mistake, not even one as small as this. I'll prove to everyone I can be the hero they need me to be"

Just then the door to the kings chambers opened, and a small gnome wattled out.
Announcer: "Champions of Middle Earth, the king will now see you"

Talan shoot Blorn a look, and it seemed the Trow was thinikng the same thing. The two made their way to each other as the others began filling in.
Talan: Well I can't say that I like you Trow...Blorn. But if you can accept me, I'd love to save the world alongside a warrior such as yourself.
Blorn: Aye I suppose I can do that. But cross me path again elf, and ye'll be finding yerself on the wrong side a me claws.

Talan knew this sentiment was true, and he would be ready to fight to the death against such a worthy foe. But hopefully it wouldn't come to that.....Together the Elf and the Trow finally made their way into the kings chambers.

"Champions of middle Earth...." The king began.

Alric- The stars decreed the second coming of the Shadows.
Blorn- And we are here because?
Alric- The great war ended sixty years ago when I myself slew Balor the Leveller.
Sarai- We do know this, I am a warlock.
Talan- And Like We give a damn about you being one.
Blorn- Hey, watch how ye speak to Sarai like that Elf.
Talan- I don't need a bloody Trow telling me what to do.
Blorn- Well I don't need no smart-ass elf talking back to me.

Alric- Easy you two, The prophercy said we need five warriors, not four warriors and pieces of a fifth. It also says that one shall die, one shall go mad and ....
Blorn- Nothing was said about anyone dieing.
Talan- Hopefully it's you that dies
Blorn- Don't you start me or they'll have to get a diviner to find the largest chunk of you.

Alric- Oi, I am trying to talk here, No shut the bloody hell up or I'll transform the both of you into orcs.
Talan- Well, That is a bit uncalled for.
Tuscov- Just shut up ok.
Alric- Now as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, One shall die, yadayadayada. Soulblighter has returned from hiding with an army of undead at his heels, Those of weak heart are turning to his dark banner.

Sarai- But your majesty, What does this have to do with us?
Alric- At this point, our legions do not have the power to stop the shadows from spreading so I have consulted the stars which have revealed to me what must be done. The stars told me to gather five champions to go deep into the enemy lands to remove Soulblighters head and cast it into the Great Devoid which was done by myself to Balor.

Sarai- So your plan is to decapitate the armys of the dark by, wait for it, Decapitating their lord and casting it into a big pit. Lovely plan.
Alric- That's the jyst for it because the only reason that the army is in being is because of Soulblighters power.
Reya- Ah, You make it sound so easy. Let's not forget his minions that would bar our way.
Alric- That's why I specifacly said 'Covert'as in stealthily. I will give you until tomorrow morning to decide on your fate.

Sarai walked out of the audience chamber with a worried look upon her face. "Now I know why that messenger looked scared", She thought " We have no chance at escaping the fallen"

At that moment Blorn walked out of the audience hall with an angry look on his face and was quietly muttering to himself about the bloody elves.

Sarai- What are ye on about
Blorn- Wha, Well It's that bloody Elf, He is really pissing me off.
Sarai- Well, Just ignore im, He's only an elf.
Blorn- Ye're right about that. Let's go down to the tavern, I've heard good things about this citys beer.

About half an hour later, They were at the king of Arms tavern with Blorn nursing a large tankard of ale and Sarai sitting calmly with a bottle of Firewine.

Blorn- Are ye sure you want to drink that? s very strong
Sarai- Do you unnerestimate me skill at taking me drink.
Blorn- Hell yeah, Firewines the strongest of all wines.
Sarai- Big deal. You don't have any.
Blorn- Wine is for cowards, The only way that ye start the drunken little goblin song is with a nice ale.
Sarai- We will see that I can drink a lot better than you.

Fifty minutes later Blorn had started his fifth tankard and was slurring terribly and Sarai was even worse.

Sarai- Ye see I can ta ma drin muh bedder den ooo.
Blorn- Oo wis you stoid wa...wa... Thingy.
Sarai- See, I haf prooof. oo cannor eve remembe ma thingy
Blorn- Ye ca barly even stand oop.

With that Blorn collapsed backwards and fell asleep and Sarai took a hint a collapsed fowards to have a bit of a sleep. The innkeeper and his assistant dragged the two up the stairs and into a room where they still slept.

((Made a big mistake in my last post. Sorry for anyone who was confused.))
Tuscov wandered the streets, obviously very lost. He stretched his arms, staring around at the city. He finally found a rather large church, in a perfect position for watching the sunset. It helped him clear his mind when he watched a sun set. He scaled the walls, careful not to be seen. Finally reaching the top, he sat down at the feet of a very large stone angel.
"...I will fight...I will help save the world...even if I turn out to be the one who dies..."
He spent most of the night on the church, going back into his memories.

Reya was the first who departed so quickly, but no one even noticed. She went to take a walk, but not to make her decision. Because she has long chosen her fate to fight whenever she is needed to protect the earth and the people she loved. Reya turned to the direction of a lovely park and sat down under the big oak tree.

"I wonder what will Talan choose? I bet a half of that bloody trow's face that ye will fight, but he will be a coward in the process....hmmmmm...maybe not."Reya said gazing at the sky.

"Huh..there's Talan...I hope he doesn't come to my direction, I don't have time for his childish temper.said Reya looking towards the direction Talan was walking.

Blorn groaned angrily that morning when he stirred from his drunken sleep

Blorn- What the bloody hell just happened? Where am I?
Sarai also stirred from her snooze a bit angrier than Blorn was

Sarai- What in the Abyss happened? Why are you here Blorn?
Blorn- Don't shout, I have a bloody minotaur sized hangover
Sarai- I didnt shout, Youre being noisy.

Blorn groaned again and got up to leave the Inn room than ran over to the window and studied the sun. It appeared to be about 6:30 which gave at least two hours until they had to return to the castle to give their desicion. Sarai stood up and walked over to the window and said

Sarai- Do you hear that thumping noise?
Blorn- Yeah, And do you see that smoke in the distance!
Sarai- Oh, No. They're coming.
Blorn- Who?
Sarai- Them.

Blorn sprang out the window and landed gracefully on the ground outside of the inn and took off for the walls, leaving Sarai with the bill. Twenty minutes later, Blorn and Sarai stood on top of the battlements surveying the coming army.

Sarai- It appears to be a mixed bunch.
Blorn- Orcs, Mercenarys and Undead. An ideal army.
Sarai- Go get King Alric, We need all the magic we can throw around.

Sarai then moved her hands in a precise pattern and cast the fireball spell at the appraoching army. Blorn got the hint from this and raced down the battlements to the keep. Meanwhile, Sarai readied another spell to cast and hoped that everyone would come quickly.

OOC: I want to apologie for my abscence. I had some computer difficulties but everythings up and running again.

"What to do....I'm nervous having the world on my shoulders....but Reya might need me along the way...." Talans thoughts drifted from yes to no constantly. Half of him was scared to be the one to die...but the other half was terrified one of the others would be the one...well except blorn.
Something quickly caught Talans eyes..."Nightwing!" Talan exclaimed with a glee of joy. Nightwing, was Talans best friend from his home villiage, a hawk Talan had rescued from a fox when it was just a hatchling....Talan knew something had to be wrong for Nightwing to travel all the way from the villiage. "Guide me Nightwing" He called to the hawk...Nightwing quickly dove into the trees, following his trail Talan quickly discovered the reason for Nightwings arrival. Off in the distance Talan could make out a mighty blaze in the direction of the villiage...but more importantly Talan noticed Reya sitting under a big oak tree starring off into nowhere....and sneaking from the bushes where two orcs. "What are orcs doing here!? It must have something to do with that blaze from the villiage." Talan thought to himself.

Instinctivly Talan drew forth Pheniox, the sword of flames, and let it loose at one of the orcs. "Talan what are ye...." Reya cried as she noticed the scimitar miss her head by barley a yard...she quickly realized the cause as she heard the sound of cracking bone from the blow of the scimitar. As she turned intime to see one orc fall. She simultaniously drew her bow and loosed and arrow at the other charging orc....silence was the only sound heard.

Talan ran to the orc and withdrew his blade from its crushed skull. "Reya are you alright?" He asked concerned. "Aye, I be okay" Reya replied
"Reya before the incident with the orcs, I noticed a great blaze coming from the villiage, I can feel an evil prescence there. And I suggest we get there now"

"You lead the way Talan...oh and thanks" Reya said as the two made way for the villiage running the whole way...

As the two emerged they saw the source of the blaze, and army of orcs, undead, and mercenaries from different races were running through the villiage burning everything in their paths...and standing not two hundred yards away was Sarai letting loose a barrage of fireballs.

"I know ye have doubts Talan...but now is the time when ye must make yer descision, fight or flee" Reya said as she let loose an arrow and began making her way towards Sarai.

"I don't know if I can" Talan called after her. The sight of the monstrous hoard almost brought him to his knees. Just then a small child...a little girl wandered out into the streets. "Little girl get out of there!" Talan cried....suddenly some sort of zombie creature appeared from seemingly out of nowhere behind her....ready to make the kill. "NO!" Talan cried he quickly unsheathed his swords and began racing to the little girl....Scimitars slashing he quickly dispatched the slow moving zombie, scooped the girl up and made his way towards the area where Reya was launching arrows, and Sarai's fireballs held back the Oncoming forces. "We need to hurry and find some ground to fight from" Talan told the two. Reya looked towards Talan and the small child he had in his arms. "Looks like ye found something to fight for ay Talan?" she said. "I don't know about this saving the world stuff....but I'm not letting them do anymore innocents harm" He barked as he drew his bow. "Start making way for the keep"....

Reya looked at Talan mystified as he was leaving the little girl in a hiding place. Then she thought to herself while observing the grusom scene.

" This will not be enough...my bow and arrows are useless! It's time to use my staff...enough horse play!" Reya said as she summoned her earthian staff from the earth's soil.

Reya called upon one of her specialty attack Nature's fury, then suddenly the sky darkened and the ground trembeled beneath everyone's feet. The monsters in one part of the village were detroyed along with some houses.

"I hope this was enough to aid Sarai....I hope they are all ok, even that bloody trow!" Reya said lifting her staff and twirling it with her hand as she knocked the orcs to death.

Talan on the other hand noticed Reya's attack and he ws shocked that she had possesed such power before.

Thinking

"Reya....she had never told me that she wield's a staff with nature's power nor has she told me of her abilities. Now she really makes me look like some bloody trow intead of a true elf." Talan said while shooting his arrows at the zombies.

Tuscov swung down to the battlements. He landed lightly, drawing his blades. He leapt into the town. Immediately beheading the nearest enemy, he lost himself in the dance of battle. Whirling into the heart of a large group, he became a whirlwind of destruction.
"Die! Die Die! HAHAHAHA!"

Blorn raced through the now empty streets to the keep in a panic, Tyr was being attacked and he was in it. A guard at the top of the steps sttod in Blorns way and demanded to now why he was running to the keep. Blorn awnsered by saying "We are under attack, fetch your mages and the like". The guard took off into the keep which let Blorn turn and race back towards the battlements. They were climbing ladders to get on top off the battle ments.

Minutes later, Blorn ended up on top off the battlements preparing for the orcs to get up. Unfortunatly he had a few seconds of preperation before they got up. Blorn relayed this through his mind then decided to jump over the wall and be in the middle of the fray. Blorn could already feel the werewolf side of him grabbing at him so he decided to attempt in mid jump.

Blorn found this risky but still decided on this course of events which left Sarai dumbstruck. However, Sarai could not do anything, Her crys were falling upon deaf ears. Blorn was fully chaged before he hit the ground and he was angry. Blorns claw ripped off the head of the nearest undead warrior and slashed out hard against the chest of an orc.

"She never told me she could do that....but thats okay I have a few tricks up my sleeve myself" Talan thought as he drew out one of his secrets....a small figurine in the shape of a great wolf. Holding it in his hands he closed his eyes and called "Come to me shadow, its time to fightalongside one another yet again" He called out. A swirling mist enveloped the figurine and the elf together....and as it evaporated Talan glanced towards Reya to see if she had been watching, which she was, a dumbfounded look upon her face...

Beside Talan a great wolf appeared. Standing about 3 1/2 ft. On all four legs Shadow was a fearsome looking beast...."Lets do it Shadow" Leaping from the battlements to get a good distance from the child Talan drew his blades. Teeth and blades slashing and cutting down orcs right and left...."And one final trick to show ya a real warrior Reya!" He called out. "Shadow now" Shadow lept high into the air directing the orcs attention high into the sky above the. "Flame up " Talan cried as he held Pheniox high into the air. Talan then dropped the sword into a circular sweeping motion, as the sword spewed flames around him, instantally charing the 20 orcs within the 10ft circle around him.

Just as he finished his blazing circle Shadow landed beside Talan Just as they had done many times before. Talan turned intime to see Reya dumbfounded behind him. As if knowing her question he called to her "A ranger with a magical blade, and the natural elven ability to use it, and his best friend who happens to be a wolf, are the cause of a terrible headache for any awakened demon or whatever we're trying to fight against" Grinning Reya called back..."Looks like ye've grown up some Talan, now that I know what ye can do, ye had better not let me down bloody elf" She laughed. Talan had to cringe at the thought of bringing up Blorn. But knew the Trow could come in handy in a pinch. "Lets go find the others" talan called to Reya as she felled another orc with her staff...

Reya approached Talan with a look of curiosity.

"Well I never knew ye held such a power....but I must say getting help by an animal is good and all, but you must question yourself if your stronger without it. I mean there might be a day you'll depend on it and it won't come due to something has happened to ye loyal friend. But I'm hypothecaly speaking of caourse." said Reya with a satisfied smirk.

"Hump......I am stronger without it! What about ye?" Talan said in a furious tone.

"Don't ye dare question me! My staff is my inner power and if the day comes that I can't summon my staff, I can still use my powers and abilities. Unlike ye I'm well prepared...why the hell does ye think I'm known has the strongest in our elven comunity!" Reya said frustrated, but then she calmed down and gave Talan some credit. "But ye are also strong, maybe one day you'll take my place."

Then reya took Talan by the arm to direct him to the battlefield.

"Where could they be?" Talan had to almost scream over the sounds of the battle. He could see innocent people being slain left and right, with no remorse from the aggressing side. "Where are the guards?" As if in answer to his question Talan glanced at the castle to see it completly incased in a blue aura. "Looks like Arlic didn't want to partake in the festivities" Talan complained "Aye, there must be a reason for it, he wouldn't abandon his people" Reya replied, a small hint of doubt in her voice Champions here my call, you must get to the castle immediateally "Did you hear that?" Talan asked puzzled "Aye its a mind link from the king" Reya answerd, lets get to the castle pronto.
"Shadow " Talan cried, open us a hole.

With the mighty wolf running down orcs right and left, the two elves hacked, slashed, and thumped the enemy all the up to the castle gates.......

Tuscov paused as he heard the command. He pulled his blade out of the undead stomach. Sheathing it, he made his way back to the castle, killing any thing that barred his path. He was thrown down as something hit his back heavily. Turning quickly, he impaled the mercenary again and again. Kicking the limp form off of himself, he made his way to the gates, now covered in blood.

"Are ye ok Tuscuv? I hope its those orcs blood and not ye." reya said staring at him.

"I'm fine....where are the others?" Tuscuv said looking over the horizon to see if he saw the others.

"They haven't arrived yet...they still have to fight to get their way to the castle. They should be here soon." said Reya in concern.

"Talan are ye ok to..I need you in top form. I think we should see to the King to see if he's ok." Reya said walking towards Talan.

Blorn felt the werewolf side of him fading with his strength as he battled the orcs and undead. So far, the humans had hung back because they noticed danger when they saw it yet even now they were starting to attack once more. As Blorns human mind took control once more, he noticed the peril that he was in.

Blorn took off at a sprint towards the castle gates because it was the only possible way for them to escape into the city. While overhead, Sarai dashed across the battlements in a hurry although her magic had stopped all the invaders that tried to climb the walls. Tuscov caught sight of BLorn and shouted out " We have to run inside or we are officially fucked" Blorns eyebrows raised at this crude use of language then shrugged and looked around at the other two. They were all covered in blood although Blorn was bleeding from the huge axe wound in his shoulder which tore a chunk of muscle off of it.

A minute later, Sarai dropped down from the walls with a featherfall spelll and dropped softly onto the ground beside them but she looked deathly pale, It was proberbly because of casting too much magic. She gasped " We have to get out of here now".
