Hello! I'd like some feedback from our female members as to which cologne they like on a guy and if they really care. I just bought some ck1, and I have no idea if it smells good or not. Any hints/comments?

Well,if you're going for cheaper stuff,Axe is good.If your buying more expensive stuff I like Gucci's Envy for Men.I think.Theres too many,I've never smelled yours before.Oooh, and Burberry Touch Eau de Toilette Spray for Men.Thats all I can think of.

But I think it sort've depends on what kind of person you are.If that makes any sense.

Urban Decay makes these body powders that are scented and flavored. You can get them for $25.00 on Sephora.com. And Dessert has scented and flavored perfume, but I don't think that's what you want.

Cheaper end of the spectrum I like Candies for Men or soem of Bath and Body Works body sprays. They smell good and they won't hurt your small budget.

More expensive stuff. Lancome Miracle (My husband wears that), Nautica Longitude Latitude (I bought that for him for his birthday one year). Vera Wang for men (1.7 fl oz for $45 @ Sephora or $65 for a 3.4 fl oz) you could probably find it at some place like Dillards, Kaufmann's, Lord and Taylor or some other upper end department store. I also like Armani por Hommes (i'm just too lazy to look for the full name and the price)

For you tho, I'd go for the cheaper stuff.

Axe is disgusting.

I cannot respect any one wearing Axe. Especially after some total morons in my class found a can in the dudes' change room and sprayed our row of lockers with it last year.

*considers*

They're my friends...but I really wanted to kill them for that. Should I have? Should I at school tomorrow? Hmmm...

Anyway, all girls I know IRL share my sentiments.

That's about it for the advice I can give you about cologne. I don't go around sniffing my friends/classmates. xD
Lol thanks for your help guys. Especially Chibi... for once I enjoyed her post. Ironic really...
And I enjoy your backhanded compliments...yeah really.

I agree with Godel on Axe. The ads are dumb and the smell is way too strong. It puts me in the mind of an adolesent who is trying way too hard-like say my cousin

Its the same situation for me as Leh (being Gay ^_^), I like the scent of Eternety [For Men] on my boyfriend Derrik, it has such a marvelous scent and really makes him smell nice after he and I play non-stop Dance Dance Revolution at the arcade and get all sweaty and stinky :D .

I can't STAND Envy. I think it smells like an old man. I bought it once and was just disgusted by it. Burberry Weekend, however, is quite nice and use it often. My favorite, though, has to be Paul Smith: EXTREME.

I highly recommend that one.

[EDIT] I also really like Issey Miyake (SP?), he makes some really good smelling cologne.

^__^ Personally I have to side with Leh on this one. Old Spice is just? *has a dreamy look on her face* *blinks* Erm? >> << >< Yeah. I also like Be by Calvin Klein. Smells all soapy and fresh, like he just got out of the shower.

Leh and Mage15: I had no clue you were gay! Cool!
What does you being gay have to do with the ability to pick out a good smelling cologne? Are gays gifted with a better sense of smell than that of the straight men?
>< He meant, he is allowed to answer because Undefeated asked the women. Not the men. SO I think that means gay men know what smells good on other men(as in: OMG, he is attractive) as women would. Correct me if I'm wrong, Leh.

Old Spice reminds me of my high school biology/ chemistry teacher. He was a real nice guy and all, but the smell just makes me think of 30 something + men with kids...or my dad. Neither one invokes any type of romantic interest.

Another turn off for me is Stetson for men. My homophobic cheating dip**** of an ex wore that stuff. Now everytime I smell it I cringe.

A decent one I guess would be Claibourne sport by Liz Claibourne. There was this weird guy in my chemistry class who wore it. I liked teh smell, but not the guy. You know now that I think about it I have a lot of strange memories involving people and scents-especially guys. For example, I would never buy my husband Curve for men because my brother wears it. Trust me, there is no bigger mood killer than when a guy has the same cologne as his signifighant other's relative. But hey, Curve is a nice scent...I just forgot who makes it.

I wore some of that ck1 I bought when I went to see Bush today (no comments bout that CHW). I turned some heads in the 17-21 year range...mighta been the cologne maybe not. We were all standing close together so maybe it was? The whole oldspice/aqua velva thing was too inexpensive for my ambitions i guess.

I might as well throw my bit in here.

I think a good, quality cologne is Drakkar Noir by Guy Laroche (It says made in Paris, France right on the bottle...right...). It has a pretty good smell and I personally wear it alot, probably more than I should. The smell is just so damn good, even I fall for it sometimes.

On another note, I don't consider Axe to be a cologne. I mean I've used it, hell I've probably used at least 3 or 4 cans by now. But I think of it as...well...deodorant, like it says clearly on the can. I don't use it for fancy or special occasions. Just for everyday use.
