Link surveyed all of Hyrule below him. From the Thieve's Desert to the southwest, to Spectacle Rock just underneath the entrance to the very tower he stood atop. A cold, evil grin spread across his face. Perhaps there would be some fun in this after all...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chain slugged his water, staring forward, rather blankly, across the expanse of the ocean before him. Beyond that ocean lay Calatia. Beyond that ocean was his mother, perhaps standing upon a beach and wondering how he was. Chain sighed and picked up his pack, shrugging his armor more comfortably onto his body. Goddesses, did it hurt!
Chain shook his head and pulled out the poster, looking around the port town he was in The castle was a few days' march north, a single day's ride. Chain looked into his rupee purse and nodded. He had enough to pay for fare, and then some. Perhaps he'd sit in at the tavern and enjoy a good meal for once.
It had been months, actually, since he'd had a meal cooked by his mother. That goddesses-damned voyage on the boat had taken forever. Another sigh echoed from Chain's lips as his thoughts turned to his mother's cooking.
Farore, what he wouldn't do for some good cooking, he thought as he entered the local tavern of Fabul Port. A quick meal and then a ride to the palace. CHain rubbed his hands, hitched his swords up, and strode in confidently...
OOC: I tweaked the bio a bit. Marla's short now.
IC:
"No! I was almost perfect...!"
Marla sighed in frustration, almost falling off the horses pen. Why couldn't she get this song right? Malon sings it every day, and she never messes up! 'If you practice, you'll get it right... eventually.' Malon had said. Yeah, right.
Marla sighed again. She might as well keep practicing; the chores were done, and there was nothing better to do. So she positioned her lute, and began playing 'Epona's song' again.
'Hey! I'm actually doing a pretty good job! I just might get it right this time!' she thought hopefully. Until...
"Aw, man! That one note keeps throwing me off..."
Marla sighed, gently setting her lute down, and then threw herself face-first onto the ground below.
"Hey, how's it going?" Malon asked her cousin, even though she had a good idea.
She couldn't understand Marla's reply, though, for she was talking into the grass.
"Hee hee, that bad, huh? Well, you know the saying: 'Practice makes perfect!' "
Marla gave her a flat look that obviously said, 'I'm not gonna buy that.'
Malon giggled again, before getting to business. "Hey, Marla, I was wondering if you could do me a favor."
Marla sat straight up, asking, "Whatcha need?"
"Well, I was wondering if you could come to town with me; Father needs some things, and you parents told me that you were quite the fighter, so you could destroy any monsters that get in our way." Malon said, hoping that showing off a bit would lift Marla's mood.
Marla thought for a bit, before grinning widely. "Oki-dokey! Let's go! But first, let me get my staff!"
Marla ran in the house, and came out quickly with her white, rather long, staff.
"Now let's go!"
OOC: Woulda done more, just too tired and lazy... :sleep:
Meiko sighed. She sat in the tavern at Fabul Port. She was still travelling, heading for Hyrule again. After the mass slaughter that had killed her mother and many of her friends in the acrobatic group. She had decided to leave her family and the group of acrobats because they just wanted to accept the fact that they were dead, they didn't have bloodthirst or a taste for revenge in their hearts. She did.
Meiko looked around the crowded tavern. All of the tables were taken, except hers which only she was sitting at. She noticed the door swing open and a man, that looked about the same age as her entered. She watched as his eyes swooped over the crowded room and the packed tables, before his eyes landed on her and her empty table. He hitched up his heavy armour and walked over.
"Hi, do you mind if I sit here?" he asked.
Meiko just shook her head and he slid into the chair next to her with a thanks.
"Thanks, this place is really crowded. I'm Chain." he smiled, extending a hand.
The corners of her lips twitched up slightly in a small smile and she took the hand.
"Meiko." she answered.
Chain let go and Meiko slid the menu over to him. He picked it up and read all of the foods. He didn't know much about foods here so he asked advice from Meiko. She recommended the Ham and cheese pastie, which was what she was getting because they made each one fresh, with the cheese all warm and melty. He nodded and they ordered.
"Where are you from?" she asked.
"Calatia." he answered. "You?"
"Hyrule." she whispered.
"Really? I'm headed for Hyrule myself. What about you?"
"Yes, I have business in Hyrule." she said. Then feeling she could trust him, she told him her story of her past and about the masked figure that had killed her mother and friends.
He listened quietly and at the end he looked sad. He reached into his pack and pulled out a poster and showed it to her.
"Was this the person?" he asked.
"Yes." she said glaring angrily at the picture of the masked man.
Seeing as she had told him her past, he decided to tell her his as they waited for their food. He explained that the masked man was Link, the famed hero of Hyrule, and he was Link's son, setting out to save him and Hyrule.
Meiko listened and apologised, he said that there was no reason for apology. They decided to stick together and help each other out as they travelled to Hyrule. Their food arrived and they ate it hungrily. Then they payed and left, a bunch of other people quickly took their table as soon as they left it.
Outside, she led them to a place where they would be able to get transport to Hyrule.
OOC: Hope you don't mind meeting up.
Imogen rode through a forest on her horse, not the exact sight she wanted to portray, mind you. She would have paid for that beautiful black stallion if she wasn?t broke, so, she instead opted for cheaply saving an old horse from the knackers yard and riding that as far as the poor old thing could take her.
She road into a port town, Fabul Port she believed it to be called. The sea breeze ruffled her blond hair and she cast her eyes to the horizon, hearing the horse pant as it made it?s slow way to an Inn.
She dismounted and patted the horse on the back, leaving it untied in a hope that it would have the sense to walk off and die in peace.
She was walking down the street, not interested in food for the moment when she walked straight into a travelling couple walking in the direction of the port itself.
She 'eeped' and fell back, landing squarely on her backside, when she pushed the bangs out of her face she noticed two people staring at her, a man and a women, both looked disgruntled and slightly annoyed at her intuition.
"My greatest apologies!" she shouted, climbing up off the floor and dusting herself off, "I was looking for a way to get to Hyrule and I wasn?t concentrating...you see...my horse is practically dead and I have no money for food so --"
the man cut her off,
"You're...travelling to Hyrule?"
Imogen nodded in reply, a blush plastered on her face,
"Yes...I felt I had to go."
The two companions looked at each other and nodded simultaneously, they each grabbed one of Imogen's arms and pulled her along quickly, introducing themselves as they went.
OOC sorry for the shortness-ness, I'm was in a hurry to get this done.
Lednar held his scyth in one had out to the side, leaving his guard open so as to tempt the Stalfos to attack him. They were slowly circling each other, judging what the other would do. He charged the creature expecting it to be in the same slow unreactive state as most other Stalfos. The creature jumped to the left easily dodging Lednar's attack. As he turned he saw the creature making a counter attack to which he easily parried. The Stalfos came at him again. He jumped the attack and as he was just above the Stalfos,chopped of its head.
The Stalfos stumbled around a bit, and came to, turning around to face him again. The headless creature was almost a shock to Lednar but he remembered that nothing these days was normal.
"Damn you," he yelled at the creature, making another charge.
This time he succeeded in getting under the creatures guard and brought his scyth straight through the creature, turning it into a pile of bones.
Lednar looked around making sure that there were no more creatures around. Once he was certain he slumped to the ground and pulled out his flask. He took a swig and thought about the battle.
It's unusual for a Stalfos to be intelligent. He thought to himself, but that was how it had seemed. The Stalfos had seemed to read his attacks perfectly, at least while it had a head. He had expected to get the battle over and done with quickly, but that had not been the case.
He looked around taking note of his location. Fabul Port was less than a mile from his location. It seemed to him unusual that a Stalfos should be so close to a town. Since the great Link had defeated Ganon very few monsters had been seen, but the number of monster attacks had increased drastically. He had been attacked numerous times on his journey from Zora's Domain to Fabul Port.
He rose to his feet and continued his way. He believed he would be able to obtain information on what the cause for the increase in monster attacks was. His journey had begun after Zora's Domain was attacked directly and a few of his friends injured.
As he entered the gates of Fabul Port he asked for directions to the Inn from the guard on duty who seemed to be close to sleep.
It will be great to get a hot meal and a soft bed to sleep in. Was all that came to his mind as he made his way down the main street. He would start his search for information on the morrow.
Chain led his small party into the inn, his face twitching rather quickly in annoyance. Silently, he asked Farore what he had done to deserve this, and how he'd let himself get roped into allowing to girls to travel with him. Let alone to chatterboxes (to him, anyway) like Imogen and Meiko. Sighing, Chain paid for the room and the two girls walked up the stairs to their room. Chain, sighing in relief, walked into the bar of the inn. That tavern's food had been okay, but they served lousy portions.
It completely slipped Chain's mind to remind himself that ever since his training under his master, his metabolism considered ten plates of food to be a decent snack. Entering the bar and drawing his rupee pouch, Chain ordered one of everything the bar served, plus a warm sake. No matter where he was, Chain couldn't live without the rice wine. His master had given him a taste for it. It was a shame he'd had to leave the Land of the Wa for Calatia. It wasn't necessarily a lie he'd told Meiko he was from Calatia, merely a misdirection.
Chain smiled as he sipped his sake, eating his food at a (for him) slow pace. He pointedly ignored the stares he was bringing himself. Something was bothering him about it, though. Sure, he always brought stares when he ate in public, but never this many. Looking up, he saw a portrait drawing of his father, the "wanted" symbol standing out in bold print. The image looked almost exaclty like Chain. Chain smiled.
Chain: Bar brawl. My style.
He casually leaned his head to the side as a rather large sword, about two feet in width, came down upon his hardened armor. And broke. Chain was miffed about the tear in his leather jacket, though. He stood and turned, decking the spiky-headed blonde guy who'd been holding the overlarge sword out of the way casually before sidling over to a man in a lincoln green tunic drawing a bead on him with a bow. Chain grinned as the arrow embedded itself in his jacket's shoulder. Oh, yes. This was going to be fun!
I had to throw a couple of cameos in. Guess who they are and you get a cookie!
"Get him my minions", screamed the dreaded Cucco lady of Kakariko. Her face is still red from the hot bath the was taking before she was interrupted by a peeping tom.
"Look, lady i'm sorry", Bink pleaded before dodging the beak of one of the Twenty cuccos chasing him. Suddenly he's backed in to a corner. "If you don't leave me alone i'll be having fried cucco for dinner" he said slowly as he took out his sword. In all reality he wasn't going to hurt them he was just bluffing, he wouldn't kill for no reason.
"Killl him my pretty's", cucco lady shrieked
"No!, I don't wanna die". He does a dodge roll before making a break run out of Kakariko.
"Well i made it out of that one alive, now let's see if I have everything: One fan, one sword, and one guitar", "Good got everything".
"Well might as well make camp in Hyrule field it's safe enough since Link got rid of all the fiends", said a tired bink as he pulled out a sleeping bag.
OCC: Of course he said it the sleeping bag diddn't ,or did it?. Ummm... no I don't think it did. Anyways sorry it's short.
As Lednar entered the Inn he looked for a corner where he could sit himself and not be noticed. The red cape would be an easy marker for anyone looking for him though. He began to think he should have left it in his pack but he could be easily marked by his features. Having been raised by the Zoras he had gained distinctive features that were not common.
He paid for a room for the night and a light meal. He sat himself down in a dark corner where it would be easy for him to meld in with the shadows.
Lednar was taking in his surroundings when he noticed a man walk in with two girls. Man, he's going to get lucky, was the first thing that crossed his mind as he watched the man take the girls up to a room. Soon after, though, the same man came down by himself. This confused Lednar.
As he watched the man order a large meal, he noticed a wanted poster hanging on one of the walls that looked similar to this unusual man. Lednar gaped at the amount of food that this man, probably no older than himself, had purchased. It seemed like an extraordinary amount. Now that is impressive.
Two men got up and approached the man from behind. One wielded a large sword which he brought down narrowly missing the mysterious man, but shattering his sword in the process. The other pulled out a bow as the man turned around, shooting him but doing no visible damage.
That's enough, Lednar thought. He stood and unhooked his scyth from his pack. He approached the two attackers so as to help the man unsure of whether he was doing the right thing. It was in his nature anyway to help those who were in need.
OOC: The first character with the sword I believe is Cloud from FF7. I'm unsure on who the second cameo is. I might need a bit more information than his tunic colour and his weapon.
OOC: I don't know if I'm in this RPG, so I'll just tell it from here. If I'm NOT in this, them PM me and tell me. But if you ask me, this RPG hasn't had a new post in a while. Well, here I go.
As Yuku returned from the portal that hooked Termina and Hyrule together. He already knew that the world of Hyrule had been thrown into chaos. He could just sense the powerful aura that came from the Tower of Hera. Even though it was so far, it still felt awesome. "This might be harder then I imagined. I wouldn't expect his power to go up THIS much. Well, I'll still destroy him, show everyone's hope DIE!" As he finished speaking to himself, he saw a little Kokori boy looking at him. Once the boy, saw Yuku's face looking at his, he hid. "He he. Isn't it dangerous for a little boy to be wandering in the lost woods alone. Especially spying on strangers. Come out and let me see your face, boy" As the boy cam out he spoke, "I have you know that I'm no boy. I am actually 21."
"Oh, really? Sorry, I have forgotten the rules of the Kokori. I forgot that their bodies never age. Well, I should be going, I have a lot of buissiness to take care of."
"I know who your after. Your after the hero, Link. You'll never defeat him, he has stopped Ganon, who was TWICE as powerful as you. Heed the words Middo."
Just then Yuku's power went up so much that he was glowing a black aura. "So, your on his side are you? If your on his side then you are my enemy as well. I am Ganon's apprentice, no, his better. I have found the ultimate power. I shall test it on you." With those words, he fired a great blast from his staff, that was aimed for Middo. It was a dirct his and when it hit Middo it was almost as if the blast sent a beckon into the air. Anyone out that night could see the blast. When the attack had faded, the only thing that was left of Middo, was his soul that was wondering. His soul soon went into the body of Yuku. "Hmph! Such weak power to absorb. It's almost nothing. I can't wait to absorb Link's soul. Oh ho, that will be such wonderful quantinence"
As he started to walk, he wondered where to ask questions. He felt something close to Link's aura that was coming from Fabul port.
"So, he does have a son after all. I will make Link feel the exact pain that I did. Getting rid of someone that means so much to him do that. First, I will kill his son, then that pathetic excuse of a princess, Zelda. This will make him most angry and weak. PAH! If you care for someone, the you are weak. When they die, you will just stay grieving for them." As he Yuku walked towards Fabul Port, he had an evil look to his face. The only thing that was he left behind in the forest, was his evil laugh.
IC:
Marla yawned.
Why did they have to go all the way to Kakariko village just to get Cuckoo feed?? Why didn't they have it at Hyrule Castle Town?
Marla yawned again, a little louder this time.
"We're almost there, Marla. Just be paitent, all right?" Malon said, noting the yawns.
"Okay."
Marla frowned slightly. Malon had been pretty quiet since they left the town. Maybe the guard's words bothered her. She didn't pay that much attention, but she remembered hearing him say something something about "The Hero of Time"...
'Whoever that is...' She thought. But she had this feeling of deja vu when she heard it. What did it mean?
She didn't get much time to dwell on that, for she saw someone laying in the grass.
"Malon! There's some guy right there in the grass! See him?!"
Marla didn't wait for an answer, as she jumped off the wagon and ran toward him.
The boy (Bink) stood up, seemingly startled to hear Marla's yell.
"What?! What's the matter?!" He shouted.
"Oh, you're not dead! That's great!" Marla said, grinning up at Bink.
"Uhm... right," He said, not exactly expecting to hear that.
"Marla! Don't run off like that!" Malon yelled, running over from the cart. "Oh, hello. Who might you be?" She asked, taking notice of Bink.
OOC: Well, since I'm bored and a little behind in this, I'm going to make another post.
Yuku sighed as he was walking through Hyrule Field. He wondered if he would make it there before Link's son left. (OOC: Keep in mind he doesn't know Link's son name) As he wondered through, he just thought that he would take a nights rest at Kakriko Village. While walking across the bridge, he came across a cart, with two girls and a man at the entrance. Since Yuku was always shy around any girl, he started to blush a little.
"Um, good evening to you ladies and sir," spoke Yuku. "What buissiness might you have at sundown?" He asked
"Our buissiness is of our own" replied the man.
"What might your name be, young sir?"
"I don't know if I should tell you"
"Well, I suppose so, since you don't know me." (Hmph, if you knew my power, you wouldn't even THINK about apposing me. But, I must keep my cool, especially in front of these young women) "Might I ask then, what the ladies names be?"
"I'm Malon" said Malon," Pleased to meet you Mr.....?"
"I'm Yuku, I don't need to be called Mister. We are all friends, besides, I'm about as old as you my dear. Might I say, the moonlight definatley shows your beauty, you a very pretty young woman, if I may say so."
"Um, thanks?" Replied Malon, blushing rather heavily.
"Oh, please" Muttered the man
"Ha ha, I see that my complimate has made you embaressed. There is no need to be ashamed of having beauty my fair lady. But, oh, where are my manners, who is the other girl might I ask?"
"Oh, her, she's my cousin, Marla"
"Marla, eh, might I say you both are very beautiful girls, especially in the moonlight. But, my, the time is certainly passing. I hope to see you two tomorrow."
"OK, bye Yuku. What a nice guy, don't you think, Marla?" said Malon.
"If you ask me, he's a little of an over-acheiver." Said the man.
(Well, I hope that I may find a room to stay in, so that I may actually get some rest. Although it may be hard after that encounter.) As he thought this his staff started to glow a hot pink color. "Stop that! I have had no romantical feelings for those girls!" He yelled at his staff. As it dimmed down, everyone that was out just then, stared at him. He felt embarrased and moved along. As he went down the road, he heard a woman mumbling, in an angry tone.
"So you did not find that boy my minions?" said the cucco lady.
As Yuku looked he saw that she this woman was still in a towel. "What the?! Milady, why are you wrapped in a towl? Shouldn't you be wearing some clothes?"
"Why are you spying me?" She asked, now even more angry.
"Well, I just heard your conversation and about a boy and when I turned the corner I saw. I was not trying to be a Peeping Tom."
"Well, be on your way, before I send my Cuucos to try to kill you."
"But, I merely just want to know who was spying on you in your bath."
"None of your buissiness!" She said.
"OK, SHEESH, I'll be on my way." Yuku left the Lady to her grumbling and found a room to stay in for the night. "He he, don't worry, I'll be looking for you later Son of Link" said Yuku, as he dozed to sleep.
OOC: I didn't post what your character would say, since I didn't know what she would say. Well, I hope this will fit for now.
