Heero walked over to Cyrus with a face as red as the sky lastnight, Cyrus smiled down at Heero

'Now what did I tell you,' he whispered in Heero's ear, Heero looked at him still with a bright red face

'I....well...I didn't think she would,' spoke Heero shyly looking back at her

'Well what did she say?' questioned Cyrus

'I asked her out and she said yes, we go out...tonight,' smiled Heero

Cyrus smiled, 'Now that wasn't so bad now was it,'

Heero just smiled at the Cyrus as he laughed

'Shut up,' said Heero as he folded his arms and turned away from Cyrus who just kept laughing but he couldn't help but watch Brielle as she walked off looking for Sycthe, and he smiled again as Cyrus nudged him

'Come on star struck wonder, lets go have something to eat...I'm starving,' smiled Cyrus

'Yeah...so am I,' said Heero as they walked towards the castle at that moment Cyrus stopped and arched his back and lifted his head into the sky, Heero felt Cyrus's sudden alarm as he too looked up at the sky

'Cyrus what is it?' questioned Heero as he looked up with worry

'Something is wrong...somethings not right...something has happened...something bad..very bad,' replied Cyrus as his tail began to swing violently

'Stop you tail before it hits someone,' said Heero as they ran towards the Castle, 'We'll tell the king and see what he thinks,'

They ran down the main hall and saw the King walking towards him with Brielle and Sycthe Wing beside him

His face went red once again as he approached them

'Please excuse my intrusion, but I have something of great importance,' said Heero as he looked at Brielle who smiled at him and he blushed but smiled back

'Whats wrong Heero?' questioned King Orion as he saw the agitation in both Cyrus and Heero

'Cyrus sense's something bad has happened,' replied Heero

'Is this true Cyrus Sin?' questioned King Orion looking at the agitated beast who couldn't seem to keep still

'Yes Great King, I sense it...I feel it in the sky and clouds...something has happened something bad,' growled Cyrus

At that moment a lone rider flew in on his wounded Dragon and they both crash landed in the courtyard...everyone ran towards them both

Valo took the man to his bedchamber. he locked the door, then turned to the man. "A'si'ilo asi? I thought you were better than that, Jaht."

"I screwed up,"Jaht said. "I was sure I'd been seen where I wasn't supposed to be, but I wasn't imprisoned or executed, so I thought I'd gotten lucky. Then I heard that there would be an attack on the capital sometime today. I don't know if that's true or not, but I assumed that it was false information, that I was being kept alive to mislead you. I'm too good to fall for something like that."

Valo chuckled. "Sucks for them. You weren't supposed to learn attack plans. You were supposed to learn where I can find out what Ilthazar's up to."

"I did more than that," Jaht replied. "I don't know the details, but I do know that there's some kind of dragon breeding program going on."

That one shocked Valo. "A dragon breeding program? That explains the deformed dragons of yesterdy's attack, but how is that possible?"

"Good question. Your best bet for that information is Branit Azuloson. He's involved in the project. He left the castle at the same time I did. I went with him until our paths split. He's visiting his family in Thesoro, a town on the boarder between Ilthazar's and Orion's domains."

Valo nodded. "I've been to Thesoro. Great town to pick up rumors in. How lond is this ranit staying there?"

"He should be leaving Thesoro the day after tomorrow, right after dinner."

"Perfect. One more question, Jaht. How exactly did you screw up?"

"It was right after I found the place where they're breeding the dragons. A group of soldiers entered the area. I moved when they were all in, but one was late. Fortunatly, someone exited the area and didn't see me. I followed him, and the trick worked. The soldier obviously assumed I was after troop movement-type information. I didn't stick around long enough to see where the guy I folowed was going, though. I got back to where I was supposed to be. I left as soon as my replacement was in place, so they wouldn't notice me missing. It would have definatly worked had I not been seen, but because they were on to me, they've probabl figured it out."

"Well, good job," Valo said. "I now know how to get the information I need. I also know that there's a likly trap about to be sprung on us. That information will give us the edge, and if the leader of the group that's going to try and trap us is who I expect, then I might be able to deprive Ilthazar of the one who is undoubtably his most valuble man."

When the injured rider landed and told of the attacking force, Valo had a guess about what was happening. "We're supposed to think another attack will happen here. We'll be reluctant to end our best, meaning us. we're supposed to send basic riders. When they're killed by a force we think a few of us can take, we're supposed to send a few of us. those few would be wiped out, followed by the rest of us when we went. But it seems my informat's hunch was right. There is no attack coming for us here. We'll all go. It'll probably be difficult, but we should be able to win. We'll have to be careful, though. they may have a few surprises designed for us if we did figure it out. We'll come in from all sides, form a circle and move in. I'll come in from above them. Hopefully, such a spread will give us the advantage. Any objections? If not, then let's do it. So, are there any?"

?I?ll have to disagree.?
Vanilla walked up to the crowd forming around the injured Rider.

?Then what do you propose we do??

?If in doubt, never send the whole force out at once. As they say, ?a set trap is injurious only to the prey who takes the bait.? I think we should call for the evacuation of the outer towns instead. Get them in a smaller, more manageable area near the capital. Then we send the swiftest scouts to bring us news from the borders. Defense, loves. We must not fight in skirmishes we can avoid.
But do not take my word for it. Zerveria?s king is witless but its generals are wily. Our leader should have the final say.?

I thought she'd agree with me, Valo thought. Aloud, he said, "Didn't you hear what I just said? It's probable that they want us to send a small force. And I don't think we can avoid this battle. Besides, we don't have time to."

"Why not?" Vanilla asked.

"Because the day after tomorrow, a man by the name of Branit will leave the town of Thesoro for Ilthazar's castle. I can't afford to miss him. He may be my only chance of learning exactly what Ilthazar's up to. If we go into his castle without that information, we could be in serious trouble. So, know that if you choose to let the enemy come to you, I probably won't be here to help you fight. I'll have to leave tomorrow to reach Thesoro in time." He turned to Orion. "If we're supposed to let you decide, then you should decide now. What should we do?"

Heero looked at Valo and King Orion who was in deep thought

'I have a suggestion,' spoke Heero seriously

'What is it Heero?' asked the king

'Well listening to what Vanilla said and listening to Valo...they are both right, we should all go but in groups, if he has a surprise attack waiting for us then you can guarantee that it's going to be huge, and now he's creating some sort of blood thirsty dragon clan, so what i'm suggesting is that we all get into groups, one group comes from the north, one from the south, one from the east and one from the west but in waves, first wave goes in draws out the surprise attack, but you can proberly guarantee that he'll have another surprise attack, so our second wave goes in draws out the next surprise attack and so on, Ilthazar isn't that stupid to not have a second surprise attack,' explained Heero looked down at the blooded rider who looked up at him

'So we all go but in groups, so we sent out the basic riders and then follow,' said Valo

'No...we mix with the basic riders that way Ilthazar wont expect it, we mix with the first and second waves and then the last two waves will be basic riders, that way he'll send out his last surprise attacks thats if he has any, thinking that we are the two last waves and thats when we counter attack his strike, hopefully it will bring us to victory and we do have enough time to do all this if we act now and we will be back before night fall if we go in hard and fast and get it over with....so what do you think King?'

At that moment Cyrus bent his head down, 'And plus you also have something on tonight...'whispered Cyrus

Heero went red and elbowed Cyrus's nose and Cyrus laughed

'So King Orion...it is up to you,' said Valo, 'should we go with Heero's Idea?'

'Yes...qucikly gather up the riders and get into groups of four waves,' said The King

'Who will lead the groups?' questioned Valo

'I will sort that out when you've all finished getting into groups with the Basic riders,' said The King as they all moved quickly

'King there will need to be another group to guard the castle,' said Heero as they all quickly sorted out groups which didn't take them long and they all stood strong facing the king, the groups were huge and one groups had sorted itself out to stay behind

Zeddrick smiled.....A wave of dragon riders approaching fast.

"Good....come, hahahaha, I have a few surprises.......ATTACK!"

A great gust of wind swirled the dust as a flight of dragons lumbered off the ground. The numbers were nothing compared to the wave of riders, but it was only just begining. As the forces battled out, a horn sounded, two additional flights fell from the clouds engulfing the remainder of the wave. The enemy was perpared however, as a second wave of dragons few into range.

"Hmmmm They have their wits about them...some of the elementals are already here I see. They are more than a match for the Hell Bringers, but that really doesn't matter."

Zeddrick looked up to witness another oncoming wave. Again more of the deformed dragons rose from the rubble of the city this time. Their huge armored forms tore into the hapless dragons. In the center of the battle however, he saw 'him' coming. Straight down towards the hoovering Ragnrok.

"A brash one indeed...." Zeddrick flew up to meet his charge. With fierce roars the two dragons clashed, their talons locking onto one another. Their heads lashing out with fangs. The riders, while holding on tighly drew out their weapons, glarring each other down.

"Your farse has failed...our informant knew of the plan." Valo stated with a bit of a victorious grin.

"HA!....I'll let you in on a little secret friend....I don't tell lies."

Valo's eyes went wide with realisation. He guessed it, this ambush itself was a diversion. The capital would be attacked, and with most of it's army an hour away.

Enraged Valo lept onto zeddrick spearing him off his saddle and causing them to plummet into a tree. Both fell busting branches and twigs as they desented. Both in turn landed on their feet. Zeddrick brought up his sword, just by looking at it most would say it was meant to cleave and not for speed, but Zeddrick loved the fact that his blade was as light as a katana. Valo stood poles ready, confident that two weapons could overpower one. The two fighters faced each other, while their partners tore at eachother above.

THe riders at the capital were by now just seeing the swarm of regular 'dark riders' approaching, only a few Hell Bringers were mingled within them. Even with a couple elementals guarding the castle, this would prove difficult.

The streets of Celebrynn were deserted by the time the first war trumpet blared. Hovering above the castle were a few Dragon Riders who stayed behind. Vanilla squinted her eyes against the morning sun. The horizon was darkening with the approach of the deformed dragons. She sighed. I told you so. The Riders stirred and straightened up as the orders were called yet their faces were marked with anxiety.

?Do not give battle!?
?Hold them off until the others come back!?
?Ready the archers!?

The misshapen dragons were quickly closing the gap between them and the capital. Caramel swept her tail impatiently as she fixed her eyes on the defense?s company commander.
He?s cute, isn?t he?
[SH!]

He nodded. At once, the silver dragon roared. The ground shook. Mighty gales swept around the capital and formed a swirling barrier around it. Most of the dragons were unable to breach the barrier and drew back but a few exceptionally misshapen dragons managed to break through. Bowstrings sang but the arrows bounced harmlessly off the dragon hides.

A shrill melody resonated through the ranks. The deformed dragons came to a halt; Dulcet?s melody had taken effect. The incapacitated dragons started smiling idiotically while swaying their tails to the music. Archers and spearmen flew in and targeted the dragons? undersides. Dragon blood spilled onto the streets of Celebrynn. Yet as the slaughter went on, the defense barrier got weaker. Those who hovered above the castle advanced and joined the mêlée as more dragons broke through.

You may rest, you know. They can handle this.
[Do not worry about me; I am not yet weary. Just saving my strength.]

Vanilla didn't realise that Heero and his group were waiting int he forest on the outskirts of Celebrynn, He had split up his huge force into two groups one group went onwards with the others while the group he was with stayed behind, They watched as the deformed dragons and the Hell Briners got more confident that they were going to win

'ATTACK!!!,' Heeros roar rang out over his group and with that they took off into the sky behind the enemy

Vanilla looked beyond the raging battle and saw Heero with his group flying towards them

'Heero..Cyrus...where'd they come from...I thought he had gone with the others....' questioned Vanilla as she watched him attack from behind

Heero patted Cyrus, 'Give them a hell shocking...' he laughed menacingly

'That I will,' smiled Cyrus as he let out a huge roar as the sky darkened and thunder and lightning clashed brightly across the sky

The enemy that hed held back looked back over their shoulders and saw the ambush group

'Where'd they come from!!!,' a mans voice sang out as they tried to turn around but Heero's group was already on top of them

As that happened Cyrus's eyes changed and the clouds circled wildly above them, Cyrus roared again, thunder shook the ground as forked lightning struck down wiping out most of the enemy, they then began battle with the Hell Bringers who began attacking them from all sides

'Cyrus...destroy,' smiled Heero

Cyrus then began chanting and Heero joined in, clouds above them swirled even more and an eye opened above them

'Cyrus take my soul..' whispered Heero as his eyes glowed red, he smashed his hands together while Cyrus was in chant and a streams of forked lightning struck down over them and circled around them like a funnel

Heero joined the chant again and the funnel grew bigger and thicker, the Hell raisers and Dark riders watched on with fear as the last words were spoken and Heero threw his arms out to the side and the funnel exploded and went into a spinning frenzy while extracting away from them but still spinning around them around them, Lightning flowed up and down Heeros arms as the forked lightning struck down most of the enemy ripping through them, it not once struck down any of the allies which it touched

'ATTACK!!!,' was Vanilla's cry as they flew up to cut down the ones that managed to dodge it

The eye closed and Heero and Cyrus looked around to find that most off the enemy was wiped out

Heero patted Cyrus neck, 'Lets go help the others out, finish them,' spoke Heero as Cyrus flew towards the small remaining group of Dark Riders

Lionel was in Heero's group.Lionel saw the dark riders flying down from the sky as Lionel started to fly towards them at great speeds. He was jumping from dragon to dragon slicing the dark rider's wings off making them un able to fly.So at the height they were in the would crash to the ground with a bang causing them to die. When Lionel jumped to the last dragon rider he saw he got knocked off but caught again by Styx.

Lionel and Styx were training their new special dark move that may be their best yet.Lionel put his hands together and Styx's eyes started turning black and started over flowing in with a dark mist.More of the dark riders came from the sky and circled in Lionel and Styx. Then Styx let out a big roar that echoed around the forest and Lionel finished his chanting.A big black Dragon was made right above all of them and swooped down when Lionel and Styx were about to get attacked and fused with Styx while Lionel jumped on top of the big black dragon. It was alittle bigger then the palace this time.

"Success,It works Styx!"said Lionel happily

The dragon then flew to the circling dark riders and ate half of them making them burn to death in its stomach and the other he blew fire at making them disinagrate into the air not leaving anything left of them. The fire the black dragon blew out was a big blue fire instead of red meaning that it would burn even more.

"Lets go search for any other dark riders"said Lionel still in a Happy voice

"Ok..."Styx said in a very deep voice

As they took off flying into the air looking for any other enemies.

?Let me tell you something,? Valo said. ?A couple of us guessed your plan. They stayed behind with a not-small number of regular Riders. I?m amazed that I didn?t see it.?

?I doubt that will matter too much,? Zeddrick replied. ?Even if the force we sent to the capital is defeated, they should be able to offset their loss by killing most of the defenders. As for us, well, we?re just here to keep you busy, and we?re more than able to do it.?

?We?ll just see about that, now, won?t we??

?Yes, we will.?

?Well,? Valo said, ?shall we do this??

?Let?s go.?

Valo charged. Zeddrick raised his weapon, but instead of striking, Valo used his poles to vault himself over Zeddrick. He spun in midair, landed behind Zeddrick, and went for the man?s head. Zeddrick spun around quickly enough to block the attack. He countered, but Valo blocked with one pole and went for Zeddrick?s head with the other. Zeddrick rolled under the attack, and stood up a couple feet away from Valo. ?Not bad,? he said.

?You?re not bad yourself,? Valo replied. ?Now, shall we continue??

------------------------------------------------------

OOC: All right, I?m thinking that this fight lasts a while, and involves both weapons and powers. also, let?s have valo and Zeddrick be about equal in skill (meaning that Valo, due to weapon advantage, would probably win a weapons-only battle, which I don?t intend this to be).

Brielle stayed with her surrogate family to escort them to safety. Clad in a black monk cloak, she walked behind the royal family. She suspected as much from Zeddrick, using an attack as a diversion for the main attack. Her and her family slowly made their way down into the castle's dungeons where a keep that was hidden by the wizards of old were kept. As they past through the old golden stone corridors, Brielle felt the spirits of old talk to her, surround her with their presence. It was suffocating. That's why she always hated going down there. Orion opened a large waxed oak door to reveal the old keep. The rush of old spirits that now surrounded Brielle was getting too much. Their talking, telling her about the danger of above and how they wished they were fighting again, alive again. Brielle grabbed her head with her hands.
" Stop it. Be quiet!" she screamed. It amplified in the corridor ten fold. Kai and Orion whirled around.
" What's the matter Brielle?" the king asked concerned.
" No....please no.......go away..........." Brielle pleaded, her eyes shut, her knees on the floor, her black cloak spread around her.
" Brielle...." Kai walked over to her to comfort her but she stood up abruptly and sprinted to above ground.

There she sat, panting at the doorway to the dungeons, glad to be out of them. The voices still swirled around in her head. The voices of past riders, of past monarchies and of past wizards. All telling he information about the past at one time. It gave her a migrane. But now she was out of the dungeons and in the fresh air, her mind was clear.

At that moment, the wind gained speed. Brielle looked to the sky to see Vanilla atop Caramel, making a shield for the city. Brille wolf-whistled. In two seconds, Scythe was there. She could see he had been fighting by himself and was tiring. Brielle put the hood over her head, jumped onto Scythe and they took off towards Vanilla.
" Are you alright Brielle?" Scythe asked, sensing Brielle's quickened heart rate.
" I'm fine," she replied quickly. Soon they were at Vanilla's side. She saw them approach.
" Zeddrick tricked us. The main attack was here after all..." was all she said, noticing Brielle's dark attire, " Still mourning for the fallen?"
" Yes. This battle is their revenge," Brielle replied promptly and unsheathed her silver sword.
" Lets go Scythe. For our friends..."

With one great swoop, Brielle and Scythe joined the fray of Riders and dragons, all in a fight of life and death. One attacked Brielle from the right. Scythe performed a half roll, having Brielle hang upside down in her saddle. With two quick slashes, the opponent Rider's saddle was cut off and he plummeted to his death. His dragon roared after him before being bitten under the neck by Scythe, which cut off its air supply. Soon after, it too plummeted to the death. The onslaught just deepened. Brielle and Scythe fought like cornered animals, slaying one opponent after another. It was a bloodbath. Soon, Brielle's black cloak was soaked with blood, turning it a dull red. Her face had splatters of blood randomly placed on it. Her eyes were slits. Her sword drenched with blood. Scythe roared like a blood-thirsty monster. He and Brielle were one.

After another half an hour, the onslaught slowed and diminished. The elemental Riders were tiring fast, their power and their dragons' diminishing quickly. Brielle caught hardly breathe. Scythe was barely staying in the sky. They had pushed their limit and far exceeded it. Now they were on nothing but pure determination to rid the skies of filth. Two or three lucky Riders had managed to get Brielle on both arms and once on the stomach. The wounds bled freely but she wasn't detered. They landed at the palace entrance. Brielle hopped off Scythe who slowly floated down the great staircase that lead to the city below. Brielle looked over the city. Not much of it was damaged but it was just the barracks which is fixed easily. Brielle lent on her sword, blood oozing down it.
" I should go and get Orion........I'll wait a while, to see if another invasion is coming....."
She sighed, exhausted.

Heero and Cyrus landed not far from Brielle and Scythe, Heero slowly slid off Cyrus's back, he looked up and noticed Lionel and Styx coming in for a landing aswell as Vanilla and Caramel and the surviving normal riders

'Heero...are you ok?' questioned Cyrus feeling his riders pain

'I'm...ok,' replied Heero, he had a deep gash across his chest and a deep gash on his arm, both bleed like rivers.

Heero looked over at Lionel and Vanilla who had also endured some wounds, he slowly made his way over to Brielle who was still leaning against her sword

'Brielle...are you ok?' he asked looking at her seriously

'I'm fine....i'll be alright,' she smiled weakly

Heero smiled slightly then his face turned serious as he looked up at the sky and then looked at the remaining lot of normal dragon riders who had survived, he then went inside and called on some maids to help the wounded riders, they rushed out immediately to assist the tired and wounded, Heero also helped as did Cyrus

While this was going on Heero then walked over to Lionel with a cup of water

'Here.. drink,' said Heero handing him the water, Lionel looked up at him and stood up, and took the water, he then gave a cup to Vanilla and then walked over to Brielle and handed her a cup, while the maids cleaned her wounds and bandaged her. Heero walked back to Cyrus who he knew was tired

'Cyrus rest...rest,' smiled Heero

Cyrus then laid his head down, 'You should get your wounds looked at,'

'I'm fine...you rest, it's ok...,' smiled Heero as he sat down and lent against Cyrus as he sat there three maids ran up to him with bandages and water

'What are you doing?' questioned Heero looking up at them

'We were sent over here to bandage your wounds sir,' spoke one of the maids

'Everyone else is getting medical care but you sir,' smiled another maid

'Please don't call me sir,' said Heero as he looked over at Brielle who who gave him a slight nod, he sighed and then stood up, the maids helped him take off his shirt and they began cleaning the wounds and then they bandaged him

'Thank you,' he said as he sat back down on his cloak and flicked his shirt over his shoulder and lent against Cyrus

'Do you not want any water?' asked the maids

'No give it to the others and the dragons,' said Heero as he lent his head back against Cyrus. The maids then took off to hand out more water, they brought some over for Cyrus who drank it down and groaned in delight

Lionel was bruised and cut in some places badly. His robe was ripped up alot so that you can see parts of his body,so he took it off with almost all the strength he had.Blood was dripping from his head and lips to the floor making a small puddle. When he finally toke his robe off he collapsed to the ground and some maids rushed over to him to help him up and then took off his tank top to first clean up the wounds then put bandages on it.Lionel was glancing over at the other riders especially the girls to see if they would take off their tops.

Lionel was starting to fall asleep so he wouldn't be able to see them anyway.

"No,I can't.I wanna see...."whispered Lionel to himself

Lionel then tried to fight to stay awake but he failed. He fell into a deep sleep while the maids were cleaning him up and putting bandages on him.He was hoping everyone else would be alright before he fell asleep. The last thing he saw was a maid going to check his pulse to see if Lionel would still live. When Lionel was finished his chest to his waste was rapped up in all bandages almost like a mummy. He was only asleep for about 10 minutes.

He then looked around and saw everyone still there getting fixed up along with their elemental dragons. The maids were done with Lionel as he sat up straight to see what he missed. There was a glass of water there so he quickly grabbed it and drank it since he was still very thirsty.Lionel felt very relaxed and regenerated. He looked over to Styx and saw that he was happily resting with all of its wounds healed too. Then Lionel walked over to Styx and layed down on him going to sleep waiting for something good to happen again. He was making sure that his sythe wasn't hurting Styx first then fell asleep.

Valo charged again. He planted his poles as if to vault again, but instead of goin over Zeddrick, he pushed himself right at the man. Zeddrick swung his sword, but Valo pushed on the ground with a pole, sending himself to the side. He roled and sprang to his feet. He swung both poles at the same time. One was heading for Zeddrick's head, and the other was jabbing at his chest. Zeddrick rolled, stood up, and faced Valo. "You're better than I thought."

"As are you," Valo replied.

"You know my name. What is yours?'

"Valo."

"Well then, Valo. Let's get on with this."

The two stared each other down. Then in a whirlwind of movement Zeddrick and Valo clashed. Valo struggled against Zeddrick with both poles braced against the blade. Zeddrick leant the bulk of his body weight onto great sword, coming to a stale mate. With no end in sight they both backed off in a swift jump.

"Well sir knight...It appears this may take up the remainder of my invasion...I hope you're satisfied with that." Zeddrick snickered menacingly.

"Your invasion was doomed to faliure in the first place. And you, will be our prisoner."

Valo struck, his poles going in different directions, one was easily blocked on its path towards the face while the other connected with Zeddrick's left arm. He shouted from the intense pain, then shot a dirty look at Valo. The warrior charged at the grim commander once again, his poles flailing with the utmost skill and speed. His advantage of dule weapons will have to end....NOW! The attack was met with a thrown up blade. Again the two pressed against each other, weapons locked. This time Zeddrick spared a second to grab hold of one of the poles with his left hand. He twisted Valo's arm with his entire body's wieght, this combined with the utter shock wrenched the weapon away. Zeddrick tossed it aside into a pile of rubble. There is was lost from site. Zeddrick put himself in front of the knight, Valo Zeddrick's laughter filled the air.

"There....much better don't you think? Its been so long since I've had a good fight."

The battle weary ?dragon regulars? of Celebrynn battled grimly above the two struggling figures of Zedrick and Valo, regardless of the outcome of the battle below them the regulars knew they would not be able to hold off the "hell bringers" much longer. Yet they fought on bravely for country and kin as their numbers were slowly whittled away by the enormous black dragons.
A dark cloud flew swiftly towards the fray. The "hell bringers" relented their brutal onslaught as some of their number peeled of to confront the new wave of Celebrynn riders, the regulars battled with renewed vigour as their companions were coming to their aid. In the ensuing confusion both sides failed to notice that the riders of Celebrynn were approaching from the wrong direction.
The leading hell bringer charged at the foremost of the approaching collum, a sleek blue, bracing its self for impact, the black dragon flared its wings and pounced, talons outstretched?.passing right through the blue in shock.
?Gotchaa!? A silver blur shimmered into existence beside the enormous black monstrosity. The grey poncho clad rider slammed his staff into the dragon?s throat, crushing the nerves as well as shattering the vertebrae, before shimmering back into nothingness.
The hell bringers battled furiously, minds ensnared, against the ?illusive? Celebrynn riders, as a silver shadow swept, wraithlike upon unsuspecting black dragons, tearing, shredding and scorching with blistering speed.
Sef plummeted earthward, undetected, hidden in weaves of air and light, killing or maiming with brutal efficiency.
How he had missed the incoming dragon armada he didn?t know. Fever had gripped him late in the night so he had stopped his vigil and slept on the unforgiving ground, only to wake up cold and sore in the morning when Mykkael claimed he sensed a disturbance.

Sef flung bale fire at the enormous black shapes that sped past him . Reaching behind himself he gripped ?waiu? and encased the rod in a varnish of bale fire, lengthening it he trusted at the dragon directly beneath him. With a sickening crunch the pole impaled the rider, skewering him to the dragon?s spine. The black shrieked in fury. Sef landed hard on the ribs of the rider, wrenching the rapidly shortening staff free, he swung the charged staff at the snapping jaws of the enraged dragon. The pole slid like a hot knife through butter, as the balefire cleaved the creatures skull in half; Sef sprinted up the flailing neck and vaulted off the end, landing hard behind an unsuspecting rider, wincing as the infected lacerations on his abdomen split open, staining his rough bandages with blood and pus. Gritting his teeth, he slashed his staff diagonally and jumped clear, severing the torso of the rider and hacking off the wing at the joint. The dragon howled in pain, giving sef the chance to hurl a bolt of bale fire into its gaping maw. Shoving ?waiu? back into its baldric, he pin wheeled into his next victim. Conjuring the same ice arrows that he had used on the scouts, into his hands, sef slammed into the beast?s side, the right nailing the rider?s leg to the dragon?s kidney, the left plunging onto the dragon?s lung.
Sef released, landing cleanly on Mykkael?s back and watched the frozen monstrosity shatter on the ground below.

Cyrus stirred as he groaned, Heero sat up and turned around to look at his agitated campanion

'You are worried,' whispered Heero as he patted the beast nose

'Yes....The battle still rages on the other side,' growled Cyrus as he lifted his head to the sky

At that moment Regular dragon riders flew in bloodied and torn, landing not far from where Heero and Cyrus sat, Heero advanced towards them

'How is the battle?' he questioned not giving them time to catch their breath

'It's tense,' spoke a rider as he slid off his dragon, 'but Zeddrick's forces are slowly deteriorating but then so are we...Sef and Myykael entered the battle with their pack and took out all of the Hell bringers but there is alot of deformed dark riders...we wre tired...we need rest so we came back,' spoke the man as if embarrassed by leaving

Heero placed a hand on the mans shoulder, 'You all did extremely well, now get cleaned up and rest,'

Heero walked away from the pack as the maids rushed over to help them

Heero didn't have to say anything to Cyrus as he stood straight up

'Are you alright to do this?' questioned Heero

'Yes' replied Cyrus strongly at that moment Lionel tapped Heero on the shoulder and Heero spun around

'Leaving are you?' questioned Lionel

'Yes we're off to help the others, there wont be another attack on the Kingdom, the enemies been tied up at the warzone, the pack that just flew in told me that Zeddrick's forces are deteriorating which means that they don't have enough to send here and if they do...that'll be like committing suicide because they'll be too tired and weak where as we have all rested,' explained Heero as he mounted Cyrus and they took off to the warzone

As they approached the battle zone they could hear crys from both Dragons and Riders, looking around Heero saw that there were no hell bringers but both sides were deminishing slowly and their forces were tiring fast

'Let's go,' whispered Heero as Cyrus let out a loud growl, and thunder and lightning lit up the sky and a pack of deformed Dragons flew at them, 'Strike them down!,'

Forked lightning shot down from the sky ripping threw most of the deformed dragons who approached them, Heero drew his sword and stood up on the back of Cyrus as the enemy flew at them, Cyrus made an upward encline as Heero ran down his back and freefell onto the back of an enemy dragon and his rider driving his sword through the skull of the rider, he pulled it out and pushed the rider off, the deformed dragon screamed as Heero then swung his sword and cut off the left wing, the dragon then went into a wild spin as Heero lunged at a deformed dragon and rider who flew at them, swinging his sword while in flight he drove it into the right eye of the deformed dragon, it's blood curtling scream echoed around them as he swung up to the rider pulling his sword out at the same time, the rider took a swing at him with his sword and drove his sword into Heeros left shoulder, Heero gritted his teeth at the pain as he then brought his swords blade down on top of the riders head and split it in two, the rider slid off the back as Heero wrenched the sword from his shoulder, spun around and drove it into the dragons neck, the dragon went into a frenzy of spinning and nose diving as Heero flew off and went into a freefall clutching his arm as blood oozed from it, Cyrus who felt the pain tried to get to Heero but was stopped by the remaining pack who had flown towards them when they entered the battle zone, in a thunderous cry, lightning struck down from the sky tearing them in halves and he went into a nose dive towards Heero catching him before he hit the ground

'Heero are you ok?' questioned Cyrus with worry as he felt the pain

'Yes....I'll be alright,' spoke Heero as he straightened himself up, 'Now lets go join the next group,'

Cyrus took off towards a group fighting on the southside

?I wasn?t prepared for that,? Valo said. ?I was expecting you to start coming at me with your powers. I?m guessing you can do some very dangerous stuff. Then again, one of my companions could give you a much more interesting fight. I?d love to watch you go after the Life rider. That would probably be a very entertaining battle to watch. But she?s not here, unfortunatly.?

Valo ran at Zeddrick again. This time, he didn?t do any tricks. He just attacked. Zeddrick blocked and countered. With only one pole, Valo was Zeddrick's equal. However, Valo could use both ends of his weapon, while Zeddrick couldn't strike with the hilt of his sword. Holding it in the middle, Valo spun his pole and used both ends to full effect, forcing Zeddrick to defend. Valo couldn't get trough to Zeddrick, but he struck fast enough that Zedrick didn't have time to attack. Eventually, Zeddrick roled and struck. Valo dove backwards to avoid the attack, and both quickly got to their feet.

"This isn't getting anywhere," Valo said."Let's go to powers, shall we?"

Heero and Cyrus helped the groups cut down most of the deformed dargons and their riders and now there were only a few enemy riders and their dragons left

'Heero, we can leave now, Zeddricks forces have been nearly wiped clean, we must go back for your sake,' said Cyrus feeling Heeros pain

'Ok Cyrus, lets go back to the castle,' spoke Heero as he laid down

'Heero are you ok?' questioned the beast as he flew off towards Celebrynn

'Yes...just tired,' whispered Heero as he drifted off to sleep, his wounded arm fell to the side of Cyrus and blood trickled off his fingers, Cyrus then flew faster than he ever had flowen before

Cyrus landed down in the courtyard where everyone was getting medical help,

'Please someone help me!,' exclaimed Cyrus as he lent to oneside and Heero rolled off his back and onto the grass, 'Please,' cried out Cyrus as he nugded Heero, at that moment the maids rushed over to assist him, they quickly cleaned Heero arm and bandaged it at that moment Heero sat up

'Your alive!,' exclaimed Cyrus as he nudged Heero

'What do you mean i'm alive???...I wasn't dead!' exclaimed Heero, 'Cyrus!,'

'I'm sorry...i got worried,' spoke Cyrus as he put his head down

'Cyrus you would of known if i was,' said Heero as he patted his nose

'I know and I'm sorry...I was just worried,' sighed Cyrus, Heero then slowly stood up and patted his nose

'I'm sorry too i didn't mean to yell at you like that...but I'm ok,' smiled Heero and Cyrus smiled back, Heero looked down and noticed that he had two arms bandaged and his chest, he then took a drink of water that a maid had given him, the maid also gave some water to Cyrus

Heero looked around the castle grounds and saw Lionel advance towards him

'So how was it?' questioned Lionel

'Well most of the enemy has been wiped out by our clans, there were only a few enemies left fighting and Valo is still fighting Zeddrick,' replied Heero

'But everythings ok?' questioned Lionel

'Well i clans should beable to defeat the remaining enemy, like i said, there is only a few of them left and alot of our clans have survived so hopefully it will end soon,' said Heero looking up at Cyrus

'How's everything here?' questioned Heero

'Good, there hasn't been another attack and everyones getting aid,' said Lionel looking around

Heero looked up at the sky and then looked around the castle grounds again, he then walked over to help

((OOC: Who says a hilt can't be used as a weapon?))

"Powers...You really don't realize do you? My 'powers' will destroy you and all that are in this battle...death...is all around. THe more that takes place in any given area amplifies my power. From the help of your fellow riders, I could crush you all. Be glad in the fact that I care for my men. But, you asked so nicely, I'll give you a tase hmmm?" His candid smile left him as his movement patterns changed. In a blink of an eye he was next to the surprised Valo. Zeddrick's left hand reached out and grasped onto Valo's free wrist.

Valo frze in place, the cold lifeless embrace of death spreading from his wrist, up his arm, and into his chest. He was paralyzed with the sentation, with the bitter cold. Zeddrick saw the near empty yet fear ridden look on Valo's face and released his grip. His smile returned. He stood there, his sword resting on his shoulder.

In a moment Valo snapped out of the feeling and growled in pure anger. He hadn't expected such a potent attack. He swung wildly with his remaining pole. Zeddrick dodged the first few, his blade still on his shoulder. At the moment his only weapon was Valo's blinding rage. The knight was angry, and because of it his moves were uncalculated and sluggish. Finally a horizontal sweep came at Zeddrick, unable to block, or dodge, the full force of the blow connected with his side. In the last few seconds before his knees buckled, Zeddrick dropped the butt of the hilt onto Valo's skull, both warriors fell to the ground. They lay there, one breathing heavily struggling to stand with cracked ribs, the other unconsious.

Zeddrick managed to stand, one hand gripping his side the other about to finish Valo off with the sword. A cloud of dust startled Zeddrick in mid thrust, it was a pepper bomb. His eyes exploded with tears as he clutched his now burning eyes. Far above the battle was ending only a few of Zeddricks regulars were still dragging on the fight. Ragnrok, bloodied and tired swooped down and landed behind her weeping companion. Ragnrok's landing was then followed by that of a large silver. Sef hopped down from its back and looked at the two battered fighters.

"Do you find my metsubushi effective? I made them just this morning." He chuckled to himself the grim look on his face a stark irony to his laughter.

"You're a wiley one as well. *cough* I trust heavily on the old saying 'Those who fight and run away, live to fight another day.' So with that, I'll be leaving." THe tears in his eyes beging to lessen Zeddrick crawled (literally) onto Ragnrok's back. He sounded the retreat, and took off. The small flight of 19 dragons dissapeared into the clouds.

"Funny, they had come with nearly 10 times that amount, yet it never seems like we put a dent in there forces." With this dark contemplation in mind Sef stooped to awaken his fallen comrade.

Meanwhile, some of the Riders who stayed behind and were still able did a last sweep of the capital. Enemy Riders caught were imprisoned and the fallen dragons were hauled off. Amid the trudging gray-clad Riders who lead their dragons-turned-beasts-of-burden, emerald silk shone in the midday sun.

?I must soak this dress really soon,? sighed Vanilla. ?Dried blood doesn?t look good on green.?
?Yet it does catch the attention of men,? said Caramel, who was dragging a dragon attached to her tail. ?Here comes one now.?
The defense?s company commander jogged towards the pair followed by a majestic red dragon.
She heard Caramel gasp behind her.
?That? that is Flamberge.?
?Huh? Who??
Vanilla and her dragon stopped; the commander and his dragon have blocked their way. ?Good day, Vanilla.? greeted the commander.
?Hmm, yes. Lovely day, isn?t it? Now that you?re here?? A naughty grin spread across her face.
After clearing his throat, the commander handed her a package wrapped in brown paper and red twine. ?I understand that women need to be given gifts before they are asked out.?
?What??
?I wish to see you tonight.?

For a longish time, Vanilla stood staring at the package, dumbstruck.
A man this brazen? Could it be?
[You may finally met your match.]
Caramel! My heart flutters so!
[Do not get any ideas, Vanilla? There is still the possibility that he just wants to see you for business.]
Hmm? but still? *giggle*

When Vanilla finally regained her composure, she straightened her face and acted blasé towards the commander.
?Sure.?

Brielle watched Heero take off towards the warzone where Valo went. SHe wanted to talk to him but he had took off without noticing her approaching. A saddened feeling appeared in the bottom of her stomach as she watched him fly away. Turning, Brielle walked past the maids and down to the dungeons again to tell the royal family that everything was ok, for now.

A few minutes later, Brielle was back outside the palace with ScytheWing at her side. She scanned the sky for any sign of Heero or Cyrus but to no avail.
" I suppose we'd better help with the clean-up," Brielle sighed, feeling somewhat depressed at Heero's disappearance.
" Good idea...might get your mind of Heero.." Scythe mocked as he trudged down the giant staircase that led to the palace.
" Scythe!" Brielle yelled at him, blushign scarlet but running after him, pretending to throttle his throat. He just laughed and flew away.
" PAIN!" Brielle yelled and walked down the stairs alone.

Heero looked around for Brielle, he noticed her walking out of the Castle with her family, they held their arms up to shield themselves from the sunlight for a moment, He watched Brielle as she looked at him, she smiled and so did he although his face turned red and he quickly looked away.

'You found her...' whispered Cyrus with a teasing smile

'How'd you know I was looking for her?' he questioned

Cyrus laughed, 'It's written all over your face,'

'Shut up!,' snapped Heero as he turned his back on Cyrus who just kept laughing

'She's coming...looks as though she's got something to tell you,' smiled Cyrus who decided to leave as Brielle got closer, Heero's heart began to beat stronger and faster and his face went even redder but this time he wasn't going to run, he was going to face her and hear what she had to say....and try to respond a little better than what he had done

Brielle walked up to Heero with a smile on her face. However the smile was a false mask. When she was walking down to the dungeon to retrieve the royal family, a vision played across her mind's eye. A huge black dragon, bigger and more deadly than the death dragon, created chaos throughout the kingdom. She saw Ilthazar atop of it, laughing evilly at the destruction of Celebrynn. The next thing she saw was all the Elemental Riders laying dead on the ground, some decapitated, some with major gashes in the stomachs, their intestines spread over the ground. This scared her. It wasn't what she wanted to see. But the spirits of old told her this. Another vision crossed her mind. A shining sword with a purple gem forged into the hilt displayed itself in front of her. She gasped.
I've heard about these weapons. The legendary Elemental weapons. Does that mean.......... we are the Riders that have been foretold by the wizards of Old?

" Brielle?" Heero's voice came to her. Brielle shook herself and smiled at him.
" You actually spoke to me without being forced?" she asked in surprise. He went brilliant red.
" Yes."
Brielle smiled. " Do you want to go to that tavern?"
" Sure."

Heero got cleaned up and waited for Brielle outside in the garden, he was nervous, he could tell that she had alot on her mind

'You look handsome Heero,' smiled Cyrus, laying down under a tree,

'King Orion gave these to me....why I don't know,' spoke Heero, King Orion had given him a dark blue cloak with a white fur hem, a white leather skin vest and black leather pants with black boots, although he preferred to wear what he had brought himself but the King insisted

'Here she comes,' smiled Cyrus as he rose his head, Sycthe Wing also rose his head and smiled

Brielle was dressed in a pale blue dress, which huged her body showing every curve, it dragged slightly along the ground which made it look as though she was walking on air, the straps hung on the side of her arms revealing her shoulders and her gloves were also long and pale blue, her hair was done up beautifully with long strands that hung down at the sides and curled slightly and her bangs rested peacefully over her eyes

Heero's face reddened as she approached him, he watched the way she walked towards him, she looked like an angel walking on clouds

'Evening Heero,' she smiled with a red glow on her cheeks

Heero nearly choaked, 'Evening...you look....beautiful,'

'And you look very handsome,' she smiled

'With the help of King Orion..he gave me these...I would of worn my own but he insisted,' spoke Heero shyly, Brielle smiled at her fathers generosity

At that moment a white carrige pulled up beside them and Heero helped her in and then followed after her, He sat across from her looking down at his hands

'So which tavern are we going to?' questioned Heero

'It's a tavern where my surrogate Father and Mother go alot, the taverns called Heavens Pass...it's beautiful there, they have music, fine dinning...my mother loves it there,' smiled Brielle as she looked at Heero who smiled back

The carriage pulled up outside the tavern and a man dressed well opened the door Heero got out first and the he offered Brielle his hand and she took it without hesitation and got out, she put her arm around his forming a chain link and they walked in, it was a magnificent place..it wasn't a normal tavern, the windows were dressed with red curtains and tables were set with white silk table cloths with candles and flower arrangements in the middle, people danced gracefully infront of a band whos music was soft and peaceful

'Ah Brielle, welcome, King Orion sent a message to us to say that you were arriving with a companion...and If I might add...a very handsome companion,' smiled the man, Brielle smiled as Heero frowned at the man and raised an eye brow, 'Please follow me, your table awaits,'

The man took them to a table which was on the other side of the room beside the window, the man pulled out Brielles seat and she sat down, the man then grabbed Heero's seat and Heero slapped his hands and pulled out his own seat and sat down, Brielle laughed

'The King also requested that he pay for everything,' said the man and he quickly walked away before Heero or Brielle could protest

A waitress walked up to them and took their orders and walked away with a smile as they waited, Heero looked across at Brielle, he knew something was wrong with her, he could see it in her eyes, even though she smiled he could see the saddness

'Brielle...whats wrong?' questioned Heero with a worried look, 'I can see that something is wrong...it's in your eyes,'
