STORY in the beginning, there was nothing. there was a baron and blank world, covered in water. the high gods favored this planet, and placed upon it a gargantuan island. they gave the island rolling plains, beautiful forests, serene beaches, towering mountains, and vast deserts. they named it Sentria. to govern the land and keep the knowledge of the trees, rocks, rivers, and all the island, the high gods created a race called the ancient ones. then, adhering to the omnipresent law of conflict, the gods created two more races: the dark ones and the righteous ones. the dark ones, vampires , lived on the north half of the island, which was always blanketed by night. this came to be known as the shroud. the king of the dark ones lived in castle death, which generated the power of the shroud. the dark ones must stay inside the shroud, for they cannot survive the beauty and goodness of the rest of Sentria. the south half of the island was given to the righteous ones, and there nice warm days were always followed by moonlit, breezey nights. and as always, the law of conflict is upheld.the shroud of the dark ones began to spread and cover the island. the righteous ones would not let anything engulf the land they had been given. the dark ones and righteous ones waged savage war upon eachother for many years, until the dark ones were driven back into one small region of the island at the northern most tip. the war stopped, and the two races lived without MAJOR conflict for many years. it is 500 years later. the island has been split into different realms and the people have been split into even more races. the trade carts coming from plain realm are late...first a week late...then two, then three. no message of any kind comes from plain realm, which is the realm located just south of End realm, which is the dark nation. the nation of the shroud and Castle Death. the nation established by the dark ones once they were beaten to the tip of the island. scouts are sent to find the source of the problem. they are gone for two weeks, then they return with horrible news: the shroud has spread, just as before, and engulfed all of plain realm. the army of the dark ones is growing. Ok, so the main thing in this story is there's gonna be a group of people who travel to destroy Castle Death, thereby destroying the shroud, thereby destroying the vampires. wonderful. ok here comes some info on realms and races. THE REALMS OF SENTRIA End realm- the northern tip of sentria where the dark ones were forced back in the ancient wars. mostly a population of halflings, necromancers, and darkones. (see races) Plain realm- realm right south of End realm. a realm mostly of regular people who have no divine gifts that come with their race, mainly farmers. called plain realm for its flatness. Bare realm- most southern realm. pretty much a huge desert. no one lives there except for some nomads and the white ones. no one ever really goes there cus there is no reason to. Mountain realm- realm of hills and mountains, just south west of plain realm. High realm- between bare realm and mountain realm. where all major cities are pretty much. RACES OF SENTRIA (and their divine powers) The righteous ones- sort of the equivelant of elves. they have the power of telling if someone is telling the truth and seeing if people are true of heart. righteous ones hold positions like mayors and judges. The dark ones- pretty much vampires. cant go anywhere outside the shroud or theyll die. they are invulnerable to harm but age normally. the only way to kill one is to puncture its heart. they also posess superhuman speed and strength. obviously, they drink the blood of anything they can find with the confines of the shroud. they usually have the halflings bring them victims. The ancient ones- very neuteral setting, however they have free will and one can commit itsself to a cause. they are very wise, and can speak to the island through trees, rivers, and other forms of nature. The wild ones- live mostly in mountain realm. make good rangers and scouts, very quick. have the ability to communicate with animals. The white ones- live in a temple near the border of bare realm. usually on the good side. they have super brains (not big heads) that work faster than normal brains. therefor they move, react, think, and analyze faster than any other race. they make the best fighters of blades and fist because of their reaction time. The halflings- no, not hobbits. half human half vampire. they have sort of a give and take power. they are not invulnerable like vampires, but they CAN stray out into the rest of sentria without meeting their demise. they also posess the same strength and speed as vampires. most halflings live in end realm, doing the bidding of vampires and necromancers. however, some halflings are peacable and live outside end realm. The beasts- not to be confused with animals. animals are just regular everyday...animals. beasts are animals that can think and talk. they are very very rare and they live away from people. Necromancers- more inhabitants of end realm. this race studies the high dark magic. they do magical things like raise the dead (our heros will often encounter zombies), summon fire, and all those good things. ok and the sign up should go like this: Name- whatever you want. Age- not stupid. Gender/race- chick or dude, then tell what race you are. appearance- whacha look like. bio- include short(or long, if you're like me) life story, weapons or fighting specialties, where you come from, and motivation for stopping the shroud. i mean theres a small party marching into a dark nation, this is pretty much suicide almost. why does your character want to risk his/her life to save sentria? here's mine. Name-Olo Mercer Age-25 Gender/Race- male of the righteous ones. appearance- average height and weight,blonde hair that is pulled back in a small pony tail. hair on the sides falls past the ears. usually wheres white robes and tunics, traditional clothing of the righteous ones. Bio-Lived alone for most of his life in a calm and secluded house high in the mountains of mountain realm. spends his days training with his sword and praying. his sword is called Lichter, and it belonged to the first king of the righteous ones. the sword is white and crystaline, and will steadily suck the life out of anyone who holds it who has bad intentions. one day, word reached Olo of the spreading of the shroud. Olo is actually the last direct decendant of the ancient king of the righteous ones, so he feels it is his duty to kill the dark king, who is decendant from the ancient king of the dark ones who fought Olo's ancestor in the ancient wars. Bullet Theory Posted August 22, 2004 Share Posted August 22, 2004 Name- Shantra Nobolo Age- 29 Gender/race- Male/White One Appearance- Shantra is a tall, lean man with a medium build. He usually is seen wearing a long, white cloak and the Oblivion Rod(see below) at his side. His eyes are a cool, calming blue and his hair is white as snow. bio- Shantra was born and raised in the Bare Realm. At the age of 5 his intelligence was growing rapidly, as was his strength. When Shantra was 16, he began training with an blessed staff, known as the Oblivion Rod. After 10 years, he perfected the art of combat with the Oblivion Rod. Recently, Shantra heard rumors about the Shroud spreading over the land of Sentria. He knew that this must not happen at all costs, so he set out to stop it.
