ChibiHorsewoman
Summer is slowly fading into fall and many of us are either back in school or getting ready to go back to school in the near future. However, before we all pack up our bathing suits and bid a fond farewell to freedom (unless of course you're one of us poor adult OBers who goes to work instead of school and doesn't actually get a summer vacation) would you care to share some summer memories? I don't have any interesting ones this year because I didn't go anywhere. My best one is from my birthday last month. I got to spend nearly a whole day with my best friend. Just my best friend, no baby, no boyfriend just Becky and me. We hadn't done that since before I moved to Texas so that in itsself was very memorable. We went to Spencerport Canal days then out for lunch. Then we drove around aimlessly stopping at a few garage sales and finally went and played miniature golf. I won! At least I think I won, we stopped keeping score after the second hole so there was really no score so we don't actually know who won. Yeah, it was pretty boring for most people, but since neither of us really get to spend regular girl time together anymore it was one of the best days I'd had with my best friend since coming back to New York. Next year will involve all four our kids (meaning our daughters her boyfriend and my husband) so that day was pretty memorable for me. Well I shared mine, what about everyone else?
Guest lavalamp
This summer was pretty terrible for me actually. A lot of angst and drama. I broke up with my boyfriend of four years in late June. That was pretty painful and the cliché depression filled most of July. I didn't really do much but dwell on past summers, so naturally this one was pretty uneventful. I did go to Universal Studios with my mom which was fun. I didn't spend too much time with her this summer, but more than usual I guess. She was really the highlight of everything good about these past few months.
SilverCyclone
Ohhh...probably...the random laying around my house every day. Gotta love being lazy! I did more, yes, but mostly...just laid around playing video games with my friends. Watched movies, kicked butt on the video game section. Its all good folks. Vacation was a blast though. Palm Springs rules! But now that school is getting closer... :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :lecture: :help: :wow:
Corey
Oh man... This had to be one of the best summers I've ever had. Most of my best memories probably came from the days spent just lounging around with my girlfriend watching movies and not watching them. One of the freshest memories in my mind is last week Wednesday when I threw a party for my best friend at my house for his 17th birthday. We had cake, great food, great music, great movies, great gaming, and excellent company. We dragged him outside and soaked him with the hose because he wouldn't let us give him his seventeen punches. It was very funny. Then we all got into a wrestling match and I broke my glasses (and have been wearing my perscription sunglasses every waking hour since), but it was a most awesome day. Later in the evening we ordered out for pizza and played a game of strip Candyland. What a great day.
Godelsensei
Princess Goneral and Kunai dressing up as Dark and Blue Link using sleeping bags, Mashimaro pajamas, a coat, and an STFXU shirt. And the brooms as masterswords were pretty frigging awsome, too. Also, getting my foot flocked. That was a real piss-off for me.
Guest Midnight Rush
Well..... hmmm.... This summer was awesome. I made a lot of friends, thats the awesome part. The un-awesome part is the fact that none of them live even close to me. Take Amanda for example: Great chick. Good looking, smart, funny, morally sound, great personality, ect. Guess where she lives... TOKYO FRIGGING JAPAN! Phil, an awesome guy that could have easily become my best friend. Fun to be around, we liked the same stuff, had a blast and BNYC (Which is where I met these people), ect. Guess where he lives.... DIJON FRIGGING FRANCE! I could go on, but that would be boring. I will now return to why my summer kicked ***. I could sum it up with one acronymn: BNYC. Stands for Brethren National Youth Conference. It was great, there were 3200+ people there, 2500 of them youths. We played sports, helped the community, had kick *** concerts, met great people, ect. Having the chance to spend an entire week worshipping God with my friends, meeting new ones, and just having a blast is something that you can never forget. If any of you get a chance to go, I encourage you to. I went golfing.... alot! I it so fun with friends. Just hangin' out at Oakbrook Links, drinkin gatorade, talkin' to the girls in the club... its a great time. I finally broke 50! Now for anyone here that golfs, you know I suck. But its my first summer of golf, so I am VERY pleased. This brings me to another un-awesome part of my summer. I'm not some lovesick idiot, nor do I have some kind of tragic romantic tale to tell. Everytime I met a girl on one of my four trips this summer we'd hit it off great! EVERY TIME! And without fail these girls would like me, I'd like them, we'd eat dinner, ect. EVERY TIME they'd end up living in some far away place like Japan, Thailand, Wisconsin, Warsaw, San Francisco... you see my point. It may be bad joss... Dunno. Why the hell did the lovely Justiniano have to live so damn far away. NBot fair I tell you! Overall Summer was 10/

Japan
My Summer was pretty average. I went to Philadelphia for a week hoping to meet up with a couple online friends. That didn't work out. My older brother got married and I had all of my relatives staying over at my house....all driving me crazy because I am not being a good girl....aka being sarcastic, not cleaning up 24/7, and reading and watching the devil's work: anime, manga, PG-13 and R rated movies, and music videos> That was mostly my aunt and grandma. Anywho, right after that, I had my birthday, I had no party...and no cake....was forced to spend my birthday money on clothes. Then I had my wisdom teeth taken out. >_< I also hung out with my friends during the summer only three or four times max. I made a nightstand too. I went to the amusement park twice, and I've been dying to go back to school since the end of July.
Juu
My summer went by REALLY fast. @_@; Well, near the end of June, my dad and I went to Denmark and England. When we were in London, I got a chance to meet up with Red/Ger, and it was really fun talking to him at Regents Park! He's one of the coolest guys I've ever met, and meeting him actually seemed like more of an 'event' than going to the British Museum and such. When we were in Denmark for my dad's doctors meeting, it was awesome going exploring in our old neighborhood and such, and also having dinner at the City Hall, even though the food was really gross. ^-^; It was just cool seeing how much things hadn't changed since we lived there, and it just felt like 'home'. (Ahh! The great-great-great-great-great-great grand-kids of the ducks remembered me!) Lol. And I spent so much time trying to find 'Penguins' chocolate, but couldn't find them anywhere. ~_~;; (EEEE! EURO 2004!!) Then, we went back to San Francisco for a week before I was shipped off to Korea for a month. That was really nice, though due the divorce and stuff, my mom's side family didn't want to see me. I got my hair straightened/cut/highlighted, though. Pretty content with it, just besides the colours are a bit squirrel-ish. >_> Also, on top of all the hair-stuff, my aunts bought me fifteen shirts (the shirts are really cheap and PRETTY there), so a major kudos to them. AND, I went to kareoke seven times while I was there. There was this really cool owner-guy who gave us free extra time!! ^___^ (EEEE! ASIA CUP!!) Eh. And now, for the past month, I've been home, and re-gaining all the weight I lost travelling. ...Which is totally not good. I just got back from jogging earlier, since school starts in four days. But since I've been back, I've been spending lots of time with Celia and her brother (kinda), and I'll definitely remember having fun with them, going to kareoke with Celia today, and going to her brother's birthday and such. *huggles* SO yeah. My summer was one of the best summers yet, but I'm really excited for school to begin! It's going to be awesome seeing how much everyone changed, going to dances (EEE!), and I promised myself a 4.0. ~.~;

Jecht
This was a summer that i will never live down. On my brithday i asked my parents to let me make the family dinner, they agreed. I belive that day they learned a valuble lesson, and that is never let me go near fire. I nearly burned down the house. As Punishment they did the unimagible they made me eat it. I still have nightmares from it. :crying:
Guest Sean
My Summer......Sucked. One of the crappest summers all out, barely anything happened, and when i did go to Blackpool for a week, the damn Library didn't let me on the OB. For most of the summer i've been making banners out of kool pics i've found of the net. Two good things about this summer, Me and My Mates Beack Parties. Very funny times, i got Mary soaking by dragging her into the sea whilst she still had her white top on....and as you can guess it went completley see through. Me and Vicki soaked The Badgers with huge water guns, and we got some Iron Maiden, Metallica and other Heavy Metal Bands playing down the beach. Trust Aaron to bring beer, then Matthew to run around going "I Want Beer !". Then he put out the fire, what an asshole, lol. We had a brilliant fire going and then he put it out *grrr* I asked out Vicki at that Beach Party......got dumped a week later.....oh well. That was another thing that was depressing, i threated everyone i was jumping off a bridge. But i'm still here so i didn't. What else happened......Oh yeah, The Second Beach Party, brilliant, not as good as the other one though. Not as much happened, no where near as funny as the other one. But oh well thats my crappy summer, in a nutshell
Gavin
This has been one or the most depressing summers I've had. I?ll start off with my near fatal trip to Turkey in early June, the first week saw my father, my brother and my sister getting doses of food poisoning from the Hotel we were staying in. I was lucky in the fact that there were meant to be six of us going on that trip (My mother and grandmother stayed in Ireland because of my granduncle getting sick the night we were to go on holiday) so we had two rooms booked for two weeks. This left me having to spend most of the first week on my own while the others lay in bed sick, it gets better though. While on a trip to a water park towards the end of the first week I somehow managed to come off a water slide and skim, yeah skim, along the water resulting in me going face first into the tiled side of the pool at high speed. I was lucky that I hit my cheek as at that speed I could have easily broken my jaw had I hit it. So for the first week we were a walking medical nightmare, however things in the second week picked up as my family cleared up from their food poisoning and my cheek had returned to normal. We then went on a truly excellent historical trip to the ancient amphi-theatre of Aspendos and the ancient Greek (in Turkey) city of Siad, I'm a massive history nerd so it was a great trip for me. Plus the Euro 2004 was great, I loved watching England getting knocked out by Portugal and seeing everyone laugh at Golden-Ball screw up. However once we got back from Turkey I learned that my granduncle had cancer of the lungs and brain, meaning he only had a few weeks to live. I felt really guilty about going on holiday while he was dying but he told me that as long as I had a good time and was able to increase my knowledge then it was worth the trip. I must have spent the next two weeks going up and down from Tipperary to Limerick constantly to see him. It was really difficult to watch him suffer because I'd always seen him as such a strong man, then on July 2nd I heard he'd died and that really ruined what little of my summer I thought I'd be able to salvage. The funeral drew hundreds, he was a very loved and respected man and his funeral was a real tribute to him, but it was still very hard to say goodbye to him. It's been a funny old summer to be sure.

Captain Iuno
hm...does June counts as Summer? I think so ^_^ Then one of the best (or maybe the best) thing was meeting Solo for the first time. I had passed my Anglia exams (which is something to learn better English...or something like that) and students from England would come to Venlo (where I live). Including Solo. We had a pretty good time those two days (it weren't actually two days but you can call it two ^_^). And I already missed him when I gave him a hug saying goodbye :( . Fall
We're actually just getting into summer right now. It's spring now, and it's pretty damn hot already. I remember about 3 summers ago, during the Christmas holidays, we went on a holiday to the nicest place in Australia as I'd put it. Port Macquarie, up on the coast. I still remember that place like nothing else, and I wish I was still there. I'm moving there when I move out of home, and nobody's stopping me. Since then, all my summers have been boring. Or you could say they've been the same as winter, autumn and spring... seeing as we don't have "summer vacation" or anything...
