A kingdom developed on the wings of trust and loyalty. 500 years of peace has followed the last Trigidom war. The surviving force gathered allies after the final battle and began to slowly establish order. As word spread of the wars end and the promises of a better life for all people came around common folk flooded to become a part of the new world which the Sarlls clan wished to build. As they grew in strength their kingdom quickly spread across the land occupying all but the Deadlands to west. People began to prosper and even wealth became a trend to the people. The Guardians that the warlocks in the war used as final war tools were sealed away. Schools began to be built to train children from a young age to become defenders of this kingdom.

After the 500 years Jeckov Sarlls is the king of this world built on peace. Those who have been trained at the defense schools are stationed as regular law enforcers in most of the larger cities. Sometimes these young warriors would have to deal with a rampaging beast, but nothing extremely serious ever betook the people.

Then it happened. The King?s advisor, a beautiful sorceress with magnificent powers and a crooked smile, disappeared. Soon after that a dark shadow appeared from the north. Hellious was the first part of the kingdom to fall. Along with the news of the conquest came the name of the threat. The Nine army. It advanced towards the capitol eventually spreading and scattering attacks throughout the kingdom. One town would still be a part of the old kingdom and the next over would be under Nine's control. People began to panic. Those in fear of their lives joined the army. And as the army grew in strength another shocking development took place. Ancient monsters of enormous power began to reappear demolishing cities in their path/

As the army moved it seemed that one of their biggest targets where the schools. With them quickly disappearing the schools began to graduate the students early and sending them into battle way to soon. The remaining schools soon became the bases of the resistance against the Nine army. Missions were carried out in squads, many of which succeeded but never returned. They would fight the ancient monsters and rarely win. With the death toll raising one of the only hopes left is to revive the Guardians.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeua awoke to a call over the speaker above his bed. The loud buzzing that came before the announcment allowed him and other students in his academy to wake enough to understand the message entirely. He waited for a moment to let the long buzzing to stop. He was wondering if this message was for the entire student body or just him.

The voice over the speaker came from a woman. A cute girl that worked upstairs about his age. She spoke, "Yeua the head teachers want to see you in the main hall."

Yeua got out of bed and put on his clothing. He slipped out of the room leaving his weapon behind. He felt that he didn't need it. As he was getting out he noticed that Jericho was leaving his room as well. "Did you get the same call I did?" Yeua asked.

"That depends. Does the head teacher want to see you?" Jericho asked in return. He smiled slightly and rubbed his thigh.

"Yeah. Is somthing wrong with you?"

"No. I just slept the wrong way last night."

"Shall we go then?"

"Hey, for good old times lets take two seperate routs and see who can get their first."

"Sure, but no head starts like before."

"Fine"

Yeua and Jericho walked into the main hall that circled around the dorm and turned opposite directions. They both held up three fingers and together brought one after the other down until their fist closed and they took off.

Yeua took the left hall and took off in a giant sprint. Most people wern't up at this time but there were still some people inhabiting it. Like one girl that yelled after him after he blowed past her. He didn't know what she said, but he noticed her long blue hair and orange highlights.

He came around towards the outside of the dorm area and leapt overa walland landed a few feet bellow where he was before. He ran across the garden towards the main hall where they all met for meetings and meals. He ran up the stairs and to the huge doors where he saw Jericho waiting for him.

"Well then late as I expected."

"You've never beat me before in a race even with your head starts."

"I guess I just got better."

Satsuki straightened her self and yelled at the boy that passed her.
"HEY WATCH IT YOU JERK!"
she huffed and kept going. She was headed to the main room she was called because somethin had happened. She reached the double doors and looked at the teo boys there and narrowed her eyes. The long black pole supported on her shoulders and the whip hooked to her belt under her cap. She archered her eyebrows and twitched the thin piece of metal in her mouth.
"So you two as well eh? Whatever. Lets go. 3 rules, 1. Don't touch me. 2. Don't speak to me. and 3. I'm not your friend we get stuck together than I'll think about it till than you just know me and it's Satsuki. know it, learn it, deal with it."
She opened the doors and walked in leaving both boys staring at her.

Omrie looked up as a girl with blue hair came into the room. 'So others were called,' he thought. He had been called to go to the main hall. No teachers were there yet, so he figured he would just wait to see what would happen. Lately many students had been graduating. He had assumed that he probably was going to be graduated. Omrie walked over to the girl. "We might be put together so I think we should get to know eachother. I'm Omrie. What's your name?"

Satsuki closed her lips around the metal wire in her mouth and arched an eyebrow.
"Satsuki. Pleasure I'm sure but no time."
She pushed past them and into the hall where many more students waited nosiely.
"Alright worms and wormets! get it together! you know your all supposed to be in you ranks so get there!"
She looked over at a girl who rolled her eyes and scoffed at Satsuki.
"You got a problem?"
"No, but you comin in here acting like you own the place-"
"For now...I do, deal with it."
Satsuki moved through the ranks moving people into line and every now and than smaking a head to quiet a person.
"Now, ATTENTION!"
The room moved together as one into attention, Satsuki took her place with the other two at the front and waited for the instructors to arrive.
"No one moves and no one talks. got it!"
"GOT IT!"

Omrie snorted as he stood in line. Who did this girl think she was? Omrie waited quietly instead of protesting though. The teachers walked in.

"As some of you might have guessed, we are graduating you all. Come forward to recieve you dilploma and assignment."

Omrie walked in a line with the other students. So he was off to fight the Nine Army...

Satsuki looked around and coughed.
"All these light weights...they don't belong here."
She took the diploma and walked away running into Omrie. He smiled at her and nodded.
"What are you looking at?"
SHe walked away looking back at him.

He's not such a bad guy...kinda cute.

"So me and Jericho wern't placed in the same group." Yeua said to himself as he passed through towards where he was supposed to meet his group."Groups of three to fight the Nine Army. Well I hope that it's with a couple of cute girls. I could just imagine what the night with a couple of hotties would be like." He giggled to himself as his cheeks glowed a pale red.

Yeua walked in and saw his teammates. "Darn a guy and that girl that I blew past." He muttered to himself. "Well at least she's not totally bad to look at."

"Well hello." The boy said. "You must be the last member of this group. My name is Omrie."

"Hi bud." Yeua said with a hint of dissapointment in his voice. AS he turned to the girl he spoke again. "I'm Yeua and I believe that me and this chick over here already have incountered each other before."

"Watch your mouth buddy." The girl said holding up a threatening fist as she watched Yeua's eyes wander away from her as he tried to ignore her.

"Whatever. I'm just kinda glad that we are gonna leave this school. So when is the instructor going to come and tell us what the deal is with these assignment?"

"We don't know." Omrie said.

Satsuki looked Yuea up and down, he was alright, not so bad but she didn't like his additude.
"I hyave a name and it's not CHICK. It's SATSUKI, remeber it I may just save your life one day."
She rested her hands on the large pole across her shoulders and paced about the room looking at this and that.
"Man these dumb-"
A instructor walked in unannounced and Satsuki blushed.
"Dumb idiots who made this piece pf art need to learn to paint...."
"Satsuki, lanugae."
Satsuki nodded and galred at he other two as the snikered.
"Right sir sorry."
"Thats alright just don't let me hear it agian."
"Got it."

"Well I'm sure that you all understand that with the current situation with the Nine Army and the reappearence of the monsters that we had to graduate all of you." The instructor assumed as he spoke to them. He paused for a moment as they all nodded to themselves. "If we had a choice you would all still be in training. Anyways I have have to give you your breefing and send you on your way." He holds up a small orb metal in texture and running with pulsing wires and blinking lights. He lets go of it and it floats in air projecting a picture of a large hill. "This is Mentor's Peek in the Dicoos Zone. Satilite has spotted scouts of the Nine Army in this area and if they spot the school their is a good threat of an attack. Your job is to intercept these scouts and eliminate or capture them if possible. Either way they can't report back to their main squad. Is everything clear?"

"Yes." All three if them said quietly.

"And one more thing. I warn all of you that you need to be very careful. Unfortunatly we are expecting many casualties." The instructer's head hung low with a sadness in his glare as he left the room and another door opened and that same soft voice of that girl came through telling them to go through.

"So some scouts." Omrie said to himself as they walked through.

Satsuki was walking further ahead of them in sort of a quick pace obviously trying to avoid them. Yeua grinned a small grin and then plastered on the most honest looking smile that he could. Better apologize or at least try to.

Yeua sped up his walking and caught up with her looking over at her as they moved. "I do know that you have a name." Yeua said trying to be nice about it. "And I realize that I was rude earlier and I'm sorry. If it makes it up to you at all I think you'd like to know that I at least remembered your name. Satsuki, if I'm not mistaken. And I was hoping that maybe we could..." He was stopped short when hie head ran into a wall not realizing that they had to turn. "Shit." He rubbed his head as Omrie passed him still looking like he was thinking deeply. "Well it was worth a shot. Well the next time I go into town I'm sure that there will be plenty to admire there."

Satsuki snorted as he ran into the wall and peaked around the corner smileing, she grined wider as her blushed.
"Apology accepted."
She turned and rested her arms on the pole agian.
"Damned Nine army, who do they think they are?"
"SATSUKI!"
Satsuki turned and looked as a girl a ear blow her ran up to her breathing heaviyl.
"T-They told me I have to fight..."
"WHAT! your to young...no wonder he said casulties. Right, I'll talk to them don't you worry."
Satsuki watched sadly as the gril nodded and walked away.
"Poor thing, she;ll be one of the first to go..."
She hung her head and moved on.
'Some of them shouldn't have to see this mess..."

"What was that?" Yeua questioned to himself as Satsuki walked away. He wasn't sure what it was that she said to him but the tone told him that it wasn't bad whatever it was. One thing he did notice was a child talking to her. Then the child walked away from them. "What's with the kid? She couldn't be fighting could she? A child has no place in this war."

"We are one of the few schools left ever since the Nine Army began attacking them." Omrie told him. "Even some of that age are being forced to fight now because of the chance of losing this war."

"That's not right at all." Yeua spoke in a harsh tone. "The next thing they'll be doing is sending infants into battle with miniature spears. Hey, that reminds me I have to go get my sword. Wait for me by the train will ya?"

"We'll try." Omrie replied.

"Thanks." Yeua took off running back the way they came and up into the main chamber and out into the garden. "I sure hope that they wait."

Satsuki Looked after Yeua as he ran off.
"Is he upset that they're sending the youngers into fight the nine army?"
She turned back and looked au as the train whistel blew.
"IT"S LEAVING EARLY! Where is he?"
The condutor looked at her and up at the clock.
"Times up your either going now or staying."
'Omrie we gotta go NOW!"
"But Yeua..."
"He's on his way back here now, I see him coming over that hill. He can catch up."
Satsuki grabed Omrie's shirt, picked him up and threw him onto the train. SHe jogged beside it as it began to move.
"HURRY!"
Yeua ran up beisde her and nodded, jumping on she reached out and reached for Yuea's hand. Yuea began to run at full tilt as the train neared the exit.
"COME ON!"
Satsuki let go of the side nearly falling out of the the train her-self it Omrie hadn't got her feet. She grabed Yeua's hand and draged him into the train landing on Omrie with Yeua landing ontop of her.
"Ow...you weigh a ton Yeua..."
Yeua looked back at her and she gave him a thumbs up and a smile as a amall scratch on her cheek began to bleed.
"Let's go find our seats."
Omrie left first, Satsuki stoped at the door and looked back at Yeua.
"Look, you need to be more careful, get a scabbard at the next school so you can carry that thing on your back and keep it with you...I'd hate to do THIS again...K?"
She winked.

Omrie sat down on a seat. The train cart had two rows with two seats in each row.

Omrie took his bow off his shoulder. It was about four feet long and was a nice looking bow. He inspected it, making sure it wasn't damaged when he was thrown in. It seemed to be fine. Ormie pulled back the string. There was nothing wrong with it.

Satsuki walked in the cart and took the seat next to him. "That your weapon?"

Omrie nodded. "My bow's my pride and joy."

Satsuki smiled and nodded.
"Thats a nice bow. But this thing here has pulled me from a few jams."
She pulled the metal rod from her shoulders and allowed it to thunk loudly on the floor making the train convulse.
"Sorry!"
She looked at Omrie.
She can crack a skull with one blow. Yup, she's the one that I hold."
Satsuki sat down next to him and leaned back sucking lightly on the wire everpresent inbetween her lips.
"Look, hope I didn't hurt you when I threw you in."
She looked at him and laughed as his eyes began to return to normal size.
"How can you carry that thing?"
"Oh te rod? Simple she only weighs 130."
"130 what?"
"Pounds."
Omrie's eyes bugged in his head and he looked at Satsuki blinking.
"You look like you could barely lift a twig..."
"Genetics, my fater wanted a boy but the gene gave him a girl, so he used gnetics to well you get the idea. Other than that nothing else. Well I DO carry it EVERYWHERE with me ya know. That helps too."
Satsuki clapped Omrie on the back and stood.
"I'll be back...gonna go see what's to eat on these bukets they call trains."
She picked up the rod with one hand and left for the food cart.

Omrie watched Satsuki walk away. As she walked away his eys was caught by her butt. 'Nice ass...' he thought. 'Wait, she's my team-mate. I can't think like this. Then again, she is pretty hot.'

Just then Yeua walked in, interrupting Omrie's thought's. Omrie's looked to Yeua, tearing his eyes away from Satsuki. "You ok? It looked like you had a pretty nasty fall when you got on the train."

"Yeah I'm alright." Yeua replied. "You two cushoned my fall." Yeua gave him a smile and sat down across from him. "Yep, a nice little adventure that we had before our mission even really begins."

"Why do you need such a big weapon?" Well this question came out of the blue, at least it seemed that way to Yeua.

"The sword?" Yeua replied. "Well it's just that it kind of connected to me being a small time fire-controler. Do you have any magic by the way?"

"Nothing worth mentioning." Omrie replied.

"Well you seem to be the silent one in our group so I'm going to start up a real conversation while Satsuki goes and fixes herself something. I'll tell you she looks almost like a twig."

"Do you think before you speak?" Omrie asked another question that seemed out of the blue.

"Not really. I say what's on my mind. I figure that's the best way to be as honest as you possibly can with other people."

Satsuki returned with a plate full of food. "Are you two getting anything?" She asked.

"Naw. I think I'll just snatch somthing off yours while your not looking." Yeua said with a playful little smile.

"Better not." Satsuki said sitting back down next to Omrie.

"Well since your both here I better make this quick." Yeua said suddenly. It was his turn to come out of the blue. "I know that this is a personal question for both of you but try not to take it the wrong way. Please tell me about your memories of your mother and father? About all of your youth experinces. It's somthing that I'd like to know if you could?"

"What?" Satsuki questioned almoist sounding offended.

"I knew it. The only person that I've never had to explain this to is Jericho. Well here I go anyways. The reason I want to know is because I don't have any of those type of memories. I can't remember my mother or father. I can't remember if I have any siblings or if I've always been alone. I've always seeked out answers to these questions but whenever I come close all I seem to feel is pain. As if I shouldn't remember this and that I'm trying to keep myself from learning them. The only reason I ask other people is because I find some comfort in knowing about other peoples pasts."

Satsuki looked away and smiled sadly.
"Well, for the most part on me, I had no parents. I was raised by a couple that wanted a kid so they took me in from the streets..Thats all I really remeber. All I remeber of my real mother is that she was beautiful, brown hair and green eyes. My father, he didn't stick around."
Satsuki swatted Yeua's hand as he reached for a piece of deli turkey from her plate.
"Ow!"
"You shouldn't steal."
Satsuki poped apiece into her mouth and looked at Omrie.
"Wanna piece? Really good."
Omrie nodded and took the piece handed to him form Satsuki.
"Thank you."
Satsuki nodded and laughed at Yeua.
"Here. I'm not hunry after all..."
She rose from her seat and wondered over to the window and begun to hum. Omrie looked at Yeua.
"I think you upset her somehow."
Yeua nodded and looked back at Satsuki who continued to hum to her-self.

"Anyways, about my parents. Not really a good matter with me. Ya see, I'm the son of a farmer. All my ancesters were farmers. Just plowing thier fields until thier life wasted away. I hated farming. I felt useless. I got into a big argument with my father about it. After that I ran away and joined the school, thinking maybe I could do something useful with my life..." Omrie trailed off as he completed his tale. He got up and walked away to go look out the window.

"Maybe I shouldn't have brought this up...." Yuea said to himself.

"Look I'm sorry if I upset either or both of you." Yeua apologized. "And your correct about the stealing thing. Anyways you didn't have to tell me anything if you didn't want to. I do thank you for sharing that bit of your life with me." Yeua wasn't sure if either of them were listening to him. "I'm sorry." Yeua got up and slide the door open and walked out leaving the other two behind. "Of coarse little does she know I still got a bit of food. He took some out of his pocket from a napkin and stuck it into his mouth. It tasted good whatever it was.

Yeua continued down to a map and looked at it. They were the first stop on this trains trip. As soon as it stoped the real adventure would begin. "Well I'm here with a country boy and an adopted child." Yeua spoke to himself. "Hmm, well at least they have memories of their families and parents. Hopfully good memories to fall back on when it comes to the times they are the most depressed in their lives. I don't though. I've been miserable all my life." As Yeua spoke to himself he watched down at the ground quickly passing beneath them. He sudden got a urge deep in his stomach. It turned inside of him. "That bitch." He suddenly said not thinking about why but knowing it had some connection to the food and Satsuki.

He ran through the car and down to the bathroom. Occupied, dammit. He ran to the next car and down to the next bathroom and found that it was open. He didn't even close the door and let loose into it. A few eews and yucks came from beyond the bathroom. "Crap that sucked." He said stepping out of the bathroom as the toilet carried his lunch away. He felt much better now but his mouth burned and his nose could pick up the remaining stench that just ran up his gut and out his mouth.

Then the trained stopped. Actually it slowly creeked to a hault and then jurked a little as it quit moving. Yeua knew that it was time to run back to the rest of his team so he did so. He opened the door and saw them both sitting again.

Satsuki laughed as hs esaw Yeua run past, her eyes were atering as he returned to them.
"That oughta teach you to steal."
She held up a pouch that contained powder and smiled.
"Nasty for the stomach, but harmless to the body and taste."
SHe laughed as he galred and hefted her weapon onto her shoulder.
"Lets moussy."
She hopped from the train and looked around.
"This place is huge."
Shifting her weight to better support herself she looked at the other and linked arms with both.
"Well lets get, don;t get separated..."
SHe blushed slightly as each boy tightend their grip.

Omrie's eyes narrowed as he talked. His eyes were keener then mostly all other people, one thing that let him use a bow so well. "We need to pick our way through this crowd and make our way out of the city. Even with my eyes I'm having trouble picking out a spot to walk through."

"I don't think we can stick together. There just isn't enough room to walk three across." Omrie released his arm from Satsuki's. "I'm going on my own. I'll meet you on the west edge of town by sun-down. You can come with my if you want. But I'm not babysitting you. You have to keep up with me."

Omrie started to walk into the crowd of moving people. He started making his way through. 'Maybe I can take the back streets and alleys...' he thought to himself.

"He's right! I'll meet up with you guys than."
She turned and pushed her way throught the crowd as she did she made her way into the sunlight and began to find it easier to breathe.
"Now time to find a shop and a diner."
She walked away from the station all the while keeping a shrap eye on the people around her and the other two boys in her team. SHe made sure that she never lost track of them till sundown when she found them at the meeting place. She smiled and waved.
"Let's do thid thingie."
She headed away and turned back blinking.
"where are we going again?"

Omrie sighed as Satsuki asked where they were going. He took a step to point to where they were going. Suddenly he fell to his knees. With a groan he got back up, cluching his side. "What's wrong?" asked Yeua.

"Just something I got into earlier," Omrie moaned.

-----------------------FLASHBACK-------------------------
Omrie walked down one of the back alleys. He had noticed how Satsuki had been keeping an eye on him. This disgusted him. He didn't need babysitting. So while Satsuki had been watching something else, Omrie had slipped away.

While walking down an alley a few men had gathered on the other side. Actually they were about 18-21. There were four of them. As Omrie came closer one had shouted at him.

"Hey punk, you better give us all your money or else." The man had a large club in his hand. The other three also had clubs.

"Give you my money? Why don't you all screw off you assholes," Omrie replied in a calm tone. While talking one of his hands had carefully reached his bow and another had reached into his quiver belt and grasped an arrow.

"That's it smart-ass! You're dead!!!" The one that had been talking jumped at Omrie, swinging his club.

Being an archer, Omrie didn't have the ability to be able to block moves like other types of fighters. So, Omrie depended on his agility. And, because of his training, his agility was above that of other humans.

Omrie jumped back and knocked his arrow. The man swung the club down. Seeing an open part Omrie shot his arrow into the back of his shoulder. The man shouted in pain and fell to the ground. The three other men jumped in on Omrie. One leaped and swung his club downwards while another swung his club at Omrie's feet.

Omrie jumped into the air and knocked another arrow at the same time. The man in the air seemed like he was going to hit Omrie, but at the last second Omrie shot the man in the stomach. The man fell, his club grazing Omrie's left side as he did.

The other two gapped at there two wounded comrades. Omrie came down on one, stabbing him with an arrow in the back. He then knocked the arrow and shot it into the other man's shoulder.

All the men layed around Omrie, writhing in pain. Omrie wlked out of the alley. As he came to the opening he fell to his knees. "Damn, that club must of hit me harder then I thought." Seeing Satsuki again he picked himself up, hoping she didn't see him. His fights were his own problems, she didn't need to concern herself with him.
--------------------END----FLASHBACK-----------------------------

"Shit," Omrie mutter as he picked himself up.

Satsuki dropped down beside Omrie and looked him over.
"You got into a fight when I lost sight of you didn't you? The reason I kept an eye on you was I have heard of this place and the gangs here are ruthless and won't hesitate to kill you for your money."
She put an arm under his and lifted him with ease.
"Lets go..."
"I don't need your help."
"Fine."
Satsuki dropprd him and watched as he fell to his knees,
"Don't need the help huh?"
She helped him back up and looked at yeua.
"Let's go."

Omrie began to walk in the North direction, stumbling every few steps. He turned arouond and found that the others were just watching him. "Come on, we got a job to do!" Omrie shouted back angrily.
