RPG Dead Fate (M-LV)

Yeua pratically ignored everything the others were doing. He was almost off in his own little world looking deeply into the stone that he always carried with him. He did this before every test he ever took and before every bout that he fought and it somehow enabled him to sum up courage enough to do what he had to do and to complete what he had to complete. It was all he had from the past and dispite this he was still able to respond without knowing. "You're right so lead the way."

In response Omrie walked on. Yeua slipped thw lightly glowing stone back into this pocket to keep it protected. They began to walk north towards where they were told to meet with the scouts and take them out. Yeua knew that it was going to be a long trip to where they needed to be but he released the sword from his belts and held it from his right hand as he walked admiring the shine from the sun off of the fire tinted blade and metal flames extending from the blunt side of the blade. He gave it a nice smile and continued along the path.

[Makurayami]

Omrie stumbled again but regained his composure before he hit the ground. Cursing under his breathe he continued on. The sun was starting to go down. He figured they could probably get another hour of walking in before it was dark. It wasn't smart to travel after dark and Omrie knew this. "Let's go, another hour and then we stop..." Omrie muttered to his two companions.

[Akieen Cloud]

"Your stubbron to a fault aren't you?"
Satsuki leaned on a tree near the path and grnned as Omrie looked at her.
"Hey easy partner...don't want you bustin a blood vessle over little old me now."
She tossed him a thick branch, almost like a cane but longer and sturdier.
"Use it you nag. At least I'll know than that one of the team is willing to keep him-self from going gimp."
Omrie looked at her and frowned.
"Fine don't take the advice, but I'll tell you now, I know enough about crap like that to tell you that when we rest tonight you had better let me take a look at that or you'll get hurt even worse."
He frowned again/
"I don't take orders from you."
"Nope you don't. But if you wanna keep your-self in fighting fit, you might want to. People in that town are stronger than they look. And by the way your stumbling around I'd go far enough to say you either have a fractured rib or a broken one."
"How would you know that just by looking?"
"I was a med assistant at the school, you think I'm that stupid?"
Yeua jumped in.
"That was never on your record, nor did I see you there, and I was there enough to know."
Satsuki tied her haor back and sighed.
"Yea well, I was never really one for showing the good side of me of ya know what I mean. And the reason it's not on my record is because I asked them not to put it there."
"Why?"
"Publicity, a medic soilder? Who would belive that?"
Omrie nodded and winced.
"Thats it buster, I'm looking at that right now wheter you like it or not."
Satsuki grabbed him by the collar and sat him on the ground lifting his shirt to see a green bruise forming at his rib cage.
"Yup, thought so broken rib. Hold still"
She shifte through her pack and brought out a roll of white bandages, Yeua arched an eyebrow.
"I never saw you pack a thing."
"I always keep this with me. Hold still I said!"
She began to wrap Omries side with persiscon and care that surprised Omrie. Her hands gental and only whispers of them were felt but that bandage was tight and secure. Standing Satsuki handed Omrie a shot.
"Pain killer and dreamless sleep, take it before bed. You'll wake when you want to."
She stretched and walked over to a nearby tree resting on it.
"It's to dark to continue now, lets bunk for the night and get there in the morning, not right in the head to travle at night."
She took the pole from her shoulders and put her chin on her chest and closed her eyes.
"Don't even look at me for fire wood, I bandaged up Omrie, and he's in no condition to go off looking for fire wood, which means that the chore is yours Yeua."
She waved at them and smiled.
"I'll cook."

[Makurayami]

Omrie pulled himself into a sitting position against a tree. He was starting to feel beter actually. Omrie cursed under his breathe. 'How could I have been so stupid? I should of completly dogded that bastard. I can't believe myself...' he thought to himself. Looking over he saw Satsuki. She smiled at him as she noticed he was looking at him.

"I'm sorry..." Omrie muttered. "I really haven't been the best teammate....it's just back at the school I wasn't with others much because there were barely anyone else that trains with the bow. And I was so good I moved up into the higher classes rather quick. I was always with people at least four years older then me.... I never really had any friends. I'm not to used to hanging with other people. I was always training in my free time because I had no one to hang out with..." Omrie sighed as he finished talking.

[Akieen Cloud]

Satsuki waved him off like a fly.
"Don't mention it, look I know what you mean, just try not to move so much or I'll have to rebreak that for it to heal right, and trust me thats nasty business."
Yeua came bac not long after with wood and Satsuki pulled a ackage from her bag and smiled at Omrie.
"Stir fry okay with you?"
She smiled warmly at him, trieing to get him to warm up to her, she knew what it was like with no freinds, she absently rubbed her arm tht was broken when he was little by a neighboring gang, having no freinds was sometimes hell on wheels.

[Makurayami]

"Yeah stir fry's fine.." Omrie muttered. He was starting to become sleepy. "Actually on second thought, forget me for dinner." Omrie pulled off his trenchcoat. After thinking he had decided that this was the reason he hadn't dogded the blow. The trenchcoat made him slower because it was fluttery near the bottom. He never did wear the trenchcoat for fighting, just traveling. Omrie layed the trenchcoat on the ground. "I'm leaving this here..." he muttered to himself. Clad in only his jeans and red shirt, Omrie leaned back a little. He lifted up his arm and shoved the shot into it. He then pushed the end and injected it into him. Moments later he was dozing under the tree.

[Akieen Cloud]

Satsuki shook her head and smiled.
"Tough guy act...figers."
She stood and took the trench coat from the ground putting around Omrie's shoulders to keep the chill that had setteled in off him, she brushed some of the hair out of his eyes and blinked. Turning to Yeua she handed him a plate and took one for her-self. She shovled a bit into her mouth and chewed lazily.
"Ya know this ain't so bad...at least it's quiet."
She finished her meal and leaned on the tree she was closest too resting her chin on her chest she began to doze lightly, dreaming of her home and the kids she grew up with.

Yeua watched as the others slept soundly beneath the tree. He was restless and full of energy unlike they probably were. He now sort of wished that he had asked Satsuki if she had any sleeping syrum before she went to sleep. He hadn't finsihed his meal. He was almost afraid to take the first bite. Afterall the last thing that he ate that Satsuki had touched had made him sick. "You know it's not half bad with a little soy sause." He said as it became a drenched plate of stir fry in say sause. "Yum." He finished it and set the plate aside.

Yeua noticed the flame was getting low and so was the fire wood reserve that he had collected. He wasn't cold at all, you know since he has some fire powers, but he was getting worried that this early in the night that possibly his teammates could get very cold and that wouldn't be good.

He set off for some more fire wood. He had to find some since he decided to throw the last bits onto the remaining fire. It wasn't too long and he began to find peices. One here and one there. He got board doing this of coarse. It wasn't exciting.

When Yeua returned to the little camp they had set up he began to set the dry wood back onto the fire. It began to taste the new stuff and seemed to like it since it grew in size and beauty. It lit up the area quite well and gave an alluring shadow over everything. And now for some reason he just looked away from it and directly at the sleeping form of Satsuki noting every little detail about her. Even the metal that seemed to be in her mouth, he'd have to ask her about that. "You know Yeu, she ain't half bad like this. Now only if she was this nice and beautiful when she was awake." Once again speaking his mind, leaping before looking. He was sure glad that she was sleeping or he could possibly be in huge trouble. "I'm sorry." He muttered softly to her sleeping form.

"Well then the adventure begins." Yeua said after a few more minutes of just staring at Satsuki and imagining the images of other girls in his mind, like that cutie that worked the speaking system. He pulled out he stone. He looked deeply into this now. It seemed to have a magical glow to it from the light of the fire.

It came as an odd sensation at first before he realized that the stone was drawing him in, all of him. Well his mind at least. As he was staring into it an image seemed to appear in it. Something that looked familiar and seemed to be in a group much like his. He got to his feet when he saw something red spray across this image. He began to walk as well but he didn't realize it. The images seemed to be getting larger and more vivid. Then another spray and a head flying. [I]Blood! It was BLOOD![/I] He gasped and dropped the stone and began to weep, "Jericho, what, Jericho, why, why, come on why is this, Jericho?" He wasn't sure what this meant and why he was weeping for Jericho. He was certain that the head wasn't his friend's. Just some sort of feeling. He whipped away the tears and picked the stone back up and stuffed it away. He knew that he was going to keep this to himself. Satsuki was a medical assistant not a mental or emotional. And Omrie was too unloved to understand most likely.

"When moring comes and daylight breaks we will move again." He said and turned back around towards where he left the others just to find they weren't there. He had moved farther than he thought. "Oh, shit." He said and began to move in the direction that he hoped he came from. Of coarse he tripped and fell flat on his face as he moved along. "I swear I don't do this in combate." He cried.

[Makurayami]

Omrie woke up in the morning. He had slept well, only waking up once during the night. He picked himself up, testing his bandages. He seemed to be fine. Hesitantly, he walked a few steps and then ran a few more. He seemed to be back to normal.

Omrie lifted his shirt and looked at his bandages. They seemed to be ok. 'Better leave them on a few more days,' he thought to himself.

One thing struck Omrie as he stood there. Hunger. He hadn't eaten the night before. Queitly, Omrie picked up his bow and walked into the woods. A few minutes latter, Omrie came out dragging six squirels. Each had an arrow in it.

Stoking the fire, Omrie put each squirel on a spit. He then put the squirels into the fire. Before he had he had taken out the arrows. 'Have to re-use arrows out here,' Omrie thought.

Just as the squirels were almost done Satsuki and Yeua began to stir. The smell seemed to be waking them up.

"Morning," Omrie said.

[Akieen Cloud]

Satsuki yawned.
"Moring, sleep well?"
"Yes."
"Let me see your side, I think you should be okay."
She pined him to the ground and lifted up his shirt looking at the gree bruise.
"Leave those on for at least two more days, that aleo they're soaked in helps alot too."
She smiled and streched.
"Well scince you cooked this lovely morning, you can clean dear freind."
He blinked as she swiped a piec of squrille form the spit.
"Hmm, not bad, next time try rubbing sage on them before cooking them, they don't dry out so bad."
She winked and set off into the woods. Yeua called after her.
"Wait, where are you going?"
"Just cause I'm traveling with guys don;t mean I gotta smell like one, I found a stream here last night, Im gonna go wash up and get a drink. I'll be back."
She waved as she dissappered, the pole ever present on her shoulders.

"Well it appears that I somehow got back to camp." Yeau said looking around himself still getting chills from what had happened the night before.

"What?" Omrie asked only getting a shred of what Yeua had just said.

"Nothing." Yeua said in his little lie that he was keeping from everyone else. Was that Jericho's head he saw and was the feeling right? Now that he thought about it he couldn't imagine a sence of loss the night before, but instead a feeling of betrayal. "Well whatever it was I'm sure that it was some sort of illusion induced by the lack of sleep I've been getting recently. Or it was a dream and I was just sleeping here the entire night."

"You're talking to yourself." Omrie pointed ouy to him.

"Thanks for the update Omrie. I probably should stretch my legs a bit." He got up and began to walk towards the way that Satsuki had just left.

"What are you doing?" Omrie called after him.

"Tree climbing!" Yeua replied, another lie (well sort of).

[Akieen Cloud]

Satsuki folded her clothes and lay them by the stream and waded in, she shivered as the cold water woke her up.
"Brr...that's cold."
She took a deep breathe and dived in, coming up she kicked her feet adn begane to scrub some of the dirt on her skin, and hair. After she finished she wadded back out and blinked as Yeua smiled and waved at her.
"YEUA! what are you doing?"
She droped down to where the water covered her. Are you out of your mind? I oughta kill you!"
He smiled more and sat down.
"I wanna talk."
"While I'm naked?"
"Better setting."
"For whom? You? Or me?"
"Me."
"Thought so...what?"
"Did you get a weird feeling last night?"
"Wha?"

[Makurayami]

Omrie chuckled as Yeua walked in the direction of Satcuki. He wasn't that stupid. A few minutes later he heard Satsuki shouting. Omrie shook his head.

Walking around the camp Omrie stepped on his trenchcoat. He had decided he wasn't going to bring it last night. But today it seemed like a big waste. With a sigh Omrie put his coat on. He would just have to remeber to take it off when he fought.

"We can talk while you dress." Yeua said turing around and placing both hands across his eyes. "I promise not to look. I may be a dirty woung man, but I don't go back on my word or anything like that. It's a matter of honor you know." Yeua waited a moment looking for a reply, his hands didn't budge and millimeter from over his eyes he was determind to keep his word like he always has.

Yeua had actually not planned on even starting a cenversation. His original plan was that he was going to hang out in the trees and just watch. He had done it before and hadn't been caught ever before. The only thing was that as he was drawing closer he began to want to be caught. Then as he thought things out he had realized that he kind of wanted to talk, even though he knew he also didn't. He figured that it would be better to just come out and not hide or anything like that.

"Okay you can look know." Yeua heard Satsuki say behind him. He turned around and looked at the dressed form of Satsuki. Her hair was wet still and it made her look kinda sexy actually. "So what's this about a feeling last night? This isn't pants related is it?"

"No." Yeua said defensivly. "I swear to the gods that this isn't anything like that."

"Then go ahead." Satsuki sat down the firmness that she showed in her voice and expression dimming and a more kind and gentle part began to show of her personality.

"Well this is how it is. I sort of told myself that I wouldn't be talking to anyone about this or anything, but for some reason I just feel I can open up to you. Not that I think you'll understand, no offence, but I do think that you will listen with a certain understanding of it."

"You didn't just have some sort of nightmare and then hit your head did you?"

"Man you jump to conclusions about me so quickly. What I'm talking about is like a part of your heart was ripped from you."

"Oh, did you have that sort of feeling last night?"

"Well sort of. I...well I...it's hard to explane. I'll just give you the basics. I began walking and I was sort of in a deep trance last night. I kept walking too, then suddenly images flooded my head and I began crying. It's embarressing to say but I was crying for my friend Jericho. I don't know why but I was crying for him. Then I snapped out of it, couldn't see you guys in any direction, then next thing I know I trip and then I wake up back at camp. So what'd ya think?"

"Hmm. Not sure."

"Big help you are. At least you know medicene and can cook some pretty decent food. Anyways I feel realy crudy too so if you don't mind I'm going to hop in the stream. You're welcome to stay if you want."

[Makurayami]

Omrie smiled as he swam in the water. He had crept down to the stream and walked up stream a bit as to not disturb Yeua and Satsuki. The stream bended many times so it was easy to hide. Once he felt he was out of sight he had taken off his clothes and began bathing. It actually felt good.

Suddenly Omri stood up. Something didn't feel right. He knew it. Quietly he got out of the stream and put on his pants, which still had the quiver belt on. He picked up his bow and knocked and arrow out of instinct. The bushes started to rustle. Omrie aimed his bow right at them. Without warning a beast came bursting out. It was a were-beast, one of the evil dogs used by the Nine Army.

The were-beast was like a giant dog but his hind legs were longer then natural dogs. This alowed him to rear form time to time. He was covered in a shaggy grey fur and his lips were peeled back revealing his fangs.

Omrie launched an arrow into the thing. It let out a howl. Omrie then bolted towards Yeua and Satsuki, still only clad in his pants.

[Akieen Cloud]

Satsuki was about to comment when a howl issued from the bend in the stream, next thing she knew a bare chested Omrie was bolting for them, a were-beast foloowing not to far behind.
"Figures..."
She strode forward as Omrie ran past.
"What are you doing? That thing'll rip you to pieces!"
She smiled and released the whip form her bel lashing it out and at the beast,a long, deep gash showed on it's muzzel, it howled with paind and charged agian, she laughed almost sadly and wrapped the whip around the creatures leg tripping it inches form Omrie's foot, he jumped back and knocked an arrow as it snapped it's jaws and lunged forward only to remain where it was. It growled and looked back at Satsuki who was twirling the pole easily in her hands making it sing. It lunged and swiped at her scratching her cheek.
"You fuzzy bastard."
She frowned and swung, with a dull thunk the pole connedted with it's neck snapping it in one blow. SHe smiled grimly as the boys looked at her.
"Exterminator...that was my rank in the school."
She pulled a chain from her pocket full of claws and teeth, snapping one from the beasts mouth she placed it on the chain and held it up counting.
"87, 5 more andI'll have the record."
She walked to the stream and cleaned her hands off, ignoring the cut on her cheek that oozed blood.
"So, shall we go and find Omrie's shirt than be on our way?"

[Makurayami]

"Damn. Sometimes I hate being a range attacker..." Omrie muttered as he looked at the dead animal. He walked over and plucked his arrow out of the creature. Turns out it had it it's neck and there was blood oozing out.

"Damn thing kept going," Omrie remarked as he looked at the neck wound. Normally it would cripple a beast but the were-beasts kept fighting till they were dead.

Omrie began to fall into deep thought as he walked back to "his" stream. 'The other two must think I'm worthless. I just run to them when ever I'm in a fight. And when I am in a fight I screw up. Damn-it.'

[Akieen Cloud]

Satsuki had seen the look on Omrie's face as he left. She walked behind him silent and as he stopped she came around as well and placed a cool hand on his shoulder.
"Look, I know right now you probably think that your worthless, I know that feeling but don't listen to it. You are worth something, but were-beasts are diffrent from other creatures of the Nine Army. They never give up. I'm amazed you even survived an encounter with one. It's surpriseing."
She rubbed a comforting circle on his shoulder and smiled.
"I'm not as tough as I like people to think, I'm a nice person, just takes a while for a person to know me is all."
She dropped her hand and faced him all the way.
"You will make a asset to this team, one way or another, but you will, we have yet to see what Yeua can do remeber?"
She sighed as he smiled.
"Good. Noe find your shirt and lets get back to camp so we can find the way outta here, what do you say?"
She held out a hand for him to shake and smiled more as he took it a second later.
"Great, meet you back with Yeua, I think it'd be wise if we moved together in this forest."

[Makurayami]

Omrie smiled as he walked away from Satsuki. There was really more to her then met the eye. He walked to the stream and found his shirt, boots and coat. Hastily he threw them on. His trenchcoat swished around his ankles. Brushing his wet hair out of his icy blue eyes, Omrie began to walk back to the group. While walking he practiced his silent walking. As he came to the camp he walked up behind Satsuki. She didn't even notice him. "Boo," Omrie whispered behind her. Satsuki jumped about three feet and spun around to face him.

[Akieen Cloud]

Satsuki slapped Omrie on the arm lightly and chuckled.
"Your something else...I say we get outta here fellows."
She took up the pole and walked about 5feet abd turned looking at the others.
"Coming or gocking at me?"
She simled and took off running down the path.
"Catch me if you can boys! Last one ther buys a round at the pub for everyone and I'm not it so you two had best hurry!"
She laughed out loud as she heard Yeua and Omrie curse and run after her.

First instinct was to turn and run. "Yeah I'm gonna get this group killed." Yeua softly spoke to himself. He wasn't really a skilled fighter in any area, he handled his sword ok and his flame powers were alright, but for some reason he felt like an outcast. First instinct was to turn and run. He couldn't be thinking that. These people were his partners. He couldn't abandon them. Besides after what he had just said to Satsuki about the night before he couldn't run. He wasn't a coward.

Yeua's head smacked into a tree because he was once again not looking where he was going. "Oh shit." He muttered and fumbled to plug a nose bleed from the conk. Then he also noticed that he had lost track of the other two as well. "Not again." It was kind of like last night. Maybe he was still dreaming. Whatever it was he was no longer chasing Satsuki and was back in the woods.

"Who are you?" A voice asked from behind him in a calm gentle voice. Yeua turned around and looked down to see what was a teen-age girl. She wasn't very tall so Yeua bent at the knees to look her strait in the face. He had never met one before but he could tell that she was Kellage from several features on her face.

"What are you doing in this forest little girl?" Yeua asked not knowing her real age or anything and then realizing that she was probably older than her.

"Why are you here?" She asked.

"I'm not allowed to disscuss that."

The looked at him for a moment like she had been this entire time and then moved something besides her mouth. Her arms drew a tight grip around his neck and she pulled him into her. "I love you." She said to him in a very innocent and playful voice. "And I'll be seeing you love." With that the grip dissipeared entirly as well as the girl.

Yeua just stood for a moment in dissbelief and then shook it off. "There has got to be something in the water." He said to himself. "Now where are those crazy team mates of mine?'

[Akieen Cloud]

Satsuki laughed as Omrie tripped and looked back, she stopped entierly. She flew forward as Omrie ran into her from behind and knocked her down. She looked up to see him looking down at her.
"Umm, you mind?"
She blushed as he moved and brushed her-self off.
"Wheres Yeua?"
She looked back at Omrie and blinked.
"We have to find him..."
She began to run back in the other direction lookin for Yeua.

[Makurayami]

Omrie ran besides Satsuki. After a few minutes they found Yuea standing in the middle of the path in a daze. Omrie walked up besides him. "Are you OK?" He looked at Omrie as if he had just seen a ghost. "Yuea, are you ok?"

"I don't know Omrie." Yeua replied softly. "I hve no clue at all th..." He sort of trailed off into what sounded like crying. The others leaned in to see what was wrong with him.

Yeua jumps to his feet startling everyone sending them backwords and away from him. "I'm over it lets get going. Oh, by the way I may have seen a ghost of a little girl who is in love with me or something. Anyways...." satsuki cut him off.

[Akieen Cloud]

"Wait...wait, gohst? Of a little girl in LOVE? With you?"
She arched an eyebrow and turned to Omrie and blinked.
"I think we had best get to the next town before high noon...lets go."
SHe began to walk towards their desteation when she turned and smiled.
"Remeber, last one there buys us ALL a round..."
She took off at a sprint and than a dead run laughing as the boys stumbled to follow her.
