Cyriel,
Undefeated,
Inari,
Kittychanann,

Alright guys, we don't have a lot of people, but for this its probably better. I have a decent grasp on most of you guys' abilities and tendencies from the past. I am very pleased. Feel free to invent any characters you'd like, as we only have four. Just be sure to keep it real (Fun, intense, lighthearted, whatever. Like all good drama there needs to be variety, but realistic is the big one. Even Tarantino's screen realism is OK...lol now I'm rambling.),

Edgar Bellerophon finished his cosmo absentmindedly. He mind kept going back to what Vivian, his secretary, had said that morning: "Edgar, you need a vacation. Your work is slipping, sir, don't take this the wrong way, but we're all worried about you. You haven't missed a day in nearly 7 years. Whats going on?"

He remembered how he'd taken off his glasses and said to her, "Viv, I-I think I will. Yes, your right. Something that happened long ago is bothering me, never mind about that. Please get Mr. Ellison on the line."

Then he'd talked with Larry Ellison, his boss, asked for, and recieved a four week paid vacation. Now he was second guessing himself. His work was his life and his life was his work...

"How the hell am I gonna spend four empty weeks!" He suddenly snapped at no one in particular.

The bartender chuckled, "I don't know you man, but from the looks of it, you need to get invite Jack Daniels and some sarong party girls over and relax. Geez, I've never seen a guy so tense."

Edgar ignored him, then suddenlyremembered something. "Hey, man, who's playing the Superbowl next week?"

"Uh.. lemme check. O yea, Niners and Raiders. Their already calling it the battle of the bay."

Edgar was not happy. He was pleased, but there was a difference. It always pleased him to see his beloved Oaktown succeed, but somehow he couldn't be happy about it. He couldn't be happy about anything it seemed. I've dreamt of that night for a week now. I just can't let go... dammit. I gotta do something, this'll kill me... his reverie was interrupted by a commotion near the entrance.

"Hey kid! This ain't no dive, we don't serve minors here."

A girl that seemed familiar to Edgar waved an ID card widly about, feverishly saying that she WAS 21. The guard laughed at her and told her to get lost. Edgar recognized her as the girl from the cemetaries.

"Something damned strange about her," He muttered as he walked towards the guard. "Sir, was her ID a fake?"

"Yea, man. Some highschool hack job. Poor kid got ripped off."

Edgar nodded and walked out of the bar. Leigh was sitting on the curb cursing. "Hey kid," he said roughly, although not harshly. "A bar's no place for you. Why aren't you in school?"

"What's it to yo- O God. Not you again. Letme guess, your taking me to the police cause I was thirsty."

Edgar sighed, "Look. I don't know you, I don't know anything about you. What I do know is that getting drunk won't solve your problems. Believe me I tried."

She laughed cautiously. "O yea, and what will?"

"I'm still working on that one."

She tossed her head, "Well gimme it. You know you want to. Caugh it up old man."

"...?"

"Money! I'm a poor starving teenager and your a rich responsible adult. Gimme some cash!" Her voice flowed at him, from bitter to sweet and back again seemlessly. It was predominantly bitter.

"Your hungry..?"

"Among other things. 250$ should cover it."

"250$!? It costs 5 bucks to eat at Micky D's! You don't need to eat at the Raffle's Hotel..geez. Get out of here.. kids..."

She sighed and walked away, not sure what to think about the encounter. Edgar similarly perplexed.

Ivy walked into her last English class of the day. It was a mixture of Senior and Ju nior, the majorty seniors. The face that looked at her were not so eager and would rather be anywhere else than her classroom. She walked to her desk setting papers ddown she had just photocopied. It was there test which her none happy students wouldn't like.

"Afternoon class. Hope you all had a good day today." Her voice spoke with a bunch of groans left out. "Please open The Grapes of Wrath to page 150."

Bags shuffled and books scrapped as her twenty-five students got their books. she turned and began writing on the board. A paper air plane flew past her face and landed on the ground next to her. She heard muffle giggles and snickers. She turned around to see just about all the face of her students try to remain straight.

Ivy bent down and pick it up. Turning it over in her hand she examianed it. "Well Nate this has got to be one of you better ones."

"Miss Heartfort how did you know it was mine. Isn't there a law that say I am innocent till proven gilty." HE shot back at her.

"Well yes there is Nate but only on person in the class make airplanes in such a" she pause for a second. "in a unqiue desgin. She walked over to ner desk and grabbed a slip of pink paper from a draw. Taking a pen from a coffee mug she scribbled something down. She picke dit up and folded it into an airplane shape and aimed it over at Nate.

He caught it in the air and opened it. "Hey Miss Heartfort this is unfair. How can you give me detention? I was only joshing you."

"Easy Mr. Rorrer, I will see you tomrrow afternoon." He threw the slip on the desk. Ivy started to hand out the test. "Okay you have a half hour and it is closed book. Begin."

A half hour later the school bell ring and the students placed their test on her desk and left. After all her students left Ivy leaned back into her chair and closed her eyes. She opend them again and looked at the uneven pile of test. She gathered them up and threw them in her briefcase. She decided that she would just grade them at her house. She knew her students and the creative answers they would give. She was defiently was going to need asprin.

Leaving her classroom she headed to the main door. "Later Ivy."

"Later Harvey. See you tomorrow." Havery was the head secruity gaurd and kept an eye on the main doors.

Ivy walked down the sidewalk. she had left her car home today. She didn't live that far from her small house and it was a nice day. Walking past a bar sg=he back tracked. She hadn't had a drink in a while and looking down at her briefcase she was going to need one. Enter into the cbar she sat down at her normal stool at the counter.

"Well look who came to see me. Ivy its been a while." The bartender came over.

"Yeah well I have been busy." She sighed placing her briefcase on the stool next to her.

"Yeah welll if i has to work by those cretens, I mean kids all day I would be drink evryday to. Sam drink as usual." Ivy nooded. "You are the only person I know that drinks an Angel's Kiss here." He mixed the White Creme de Cacao, Sloe Gin, Brandy, and Light Cream he poured it all into a pousse-cafe glass so they didn't mix.

"well i just love the taste of it. I am just lucky you can make it for me." He handed Ivy her drink. "Thanks." She sipped her drink lazly and watched out the window.

OCC: I think you meant Oakland. ;)

Crystal drove into Oakland around 6:00 that evening. It felt good to be back in the big city. As much as she loved loesing herself in the wilderness and being cut off from the outside world for weeks at a time, there was something appealing about city life. This place felt like home to her. She drove around town for about an hour reminising about old times, until she finnaly pulled into her new home.

It was small; two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living area, but this was all she really needed. The house was relatively new, with starchy white walls and the scent of shampoed carpets lingering in every room. Crystal begane to unload her car when she thought of calling Edgar. She grabed her cell phone and searched for a small black book. She quickly dialed a number and waited.

Ring. Ring. Ring. ?Hi, you have reached the home of Edgar Bellerophon. I am unable to answer the phone right now, so please leave a message after the beep.? Beep!

?Um? Hi this is Crystal Carter. Um? I just drove into town and could use some help moving in. Even if you can?t help, I?d like to go out and get a drink with you or something. Yeah? Give me a call sometime. Bye.?

Crystal pressed the END button on her cell and stuffed it back in her bag. I guess I?ll just have to move myself in, she thought. After about two hour of hauling boxes in, Crystal decided that with or without Edgar she was going to get herself a drink.

She drove herself downtown and pulled up in front of an old familiar bar. She used to sneak into the bars downtown with crappy fake Ids as a kid and it brought back memories to see another a teenage girl struggling to get into the bar with some crazy ID. Crystal sighed and walked into the bar. As she reached the bar counted, a familiar face greeted her.

?Crystal Carter. Is that you?? asked a woman sitting at the counter sipping some sort of mixed drink.

?Hey Ivy! How?s it going?? Crystal was surprised Ivy even remembered her name. They hadn?t really know each other because Crystal was a grade above her in high school, but she must have recognized her from her younger sister?s funeral.

?Not so bad. What are you doing here??

?I?ll have a Corona with lime please,? she directed towards a bar tender. Turning her attention back on Ivy she answered. ?I just moved back tonight. I got a great job offer here with lots of benefits, and how about yourself? What are you up to??

OOC: heehee, sorry it took me so long...no ideas.

IC:

Walking away quickly from the curb, she didn't look back, leaving Edgar behind on the corner. The evening air was slightly chilled, like a glass of liquid that had been left in the fridge. She felt damp, as if the water hanging in the air was deliberately clinging to her body. Brushing back a few strands of hair, Leigh was reminded again of her now-homeless disposition.

How long has it been since I've had a shower?

She didn't want to continue that certain thought process. It had been over two months now that Leigh had run away, and she didn't regret. She could never regret it, so unsurprisingly, she had survived. Of course, she had also lost a few pounds in the process, and she couldn't be that picky anymore...

However, the only thing Leigh was concerned with at the moment was the empty feeling in her stomach, and where she was going to spend the night. Luckily, it was still warm, although with autumn coming on, soon she would have to find better shelter for the cooler weather. For now, she could deal with it. She had experienced worse things than a cold night - another path of thought that she barred herself from.

Suddenly, her keen eyes picked out a police car, and she quickly ducked into an alley, waiting for it to pass before she continued.

The last thing I need is for some cop car to pick me up as a run-away. I'd probably get sent back, and then I'd be stuck in a go*damn correctional facility...

The thought was not exactly welcome...even if they did have food and heating. Sighing heavily, and kneading her stomach under her jacket, Leigh made her way again towards a familiar cemetery, one that she had been roaming for quite a while now. The gravestones were ironically comforting - the dead were more familiar to her than the living.

OC: Ok, so I know this doesn't leave Leigh in a spot for much contact with the other chars, but don't worry, it'll get there. I'm just developing her I guess, so...yeah. Oh, and don't rush her please, although maybe just brushes with others is fine. By the way, I hope you (Undefeated) don't mind that I made the season late summer/early fall, but it was my best guess since kittychanann is teaching classes in school and all...
