Guest shadowmatrix
Its simple. Just state what manga you would like to read in Shonen Jump and why. In the future, you are advised to try and put a little more thought into starting a thread. You've been warned. -Lady Katana
Zero Tolerance
The Prince of Tennis. It used to be in there, then it got taken out. And they took it out before I ever got the chance to read it.
OtakuSennen
The Prince of Tennis. It used to be in there, then it got taken out. And they took it out before I ever got the chance to read it.
The Prince of Tennis was only in one issue of US Shonen Jump for the sake of promoting the graphic novels. It was never meant to be ongoing in the magazine. Shaman King, Hikaru no Go and Naruto are really all that I read in SJ anymore (I follow One Piece too, but not religiously).. I would be happy if they just emphasized these series a bit more than Yu-Gi-Oh! and Dragonball Z. That, of course, is probably not going to happen, unless One Piece magically becomes a hit series when it appears on Foxbox later this year. I really don't know that many Shonen Jump titles that haven't ended up in English, but I would like to check out Hunter X Hunter by Yoshihiro Togashi (The Yuyu Hakusho man). It seems appealing.
Dagger
I'd subscribe to Shonen Jump if it started serializing either Hunter x Hunter, Death Note (which is currently running in the Japanese edition of the magazine), or preferably both. I'm not a big fan of manga, but I do love the Hunter x Hunter anime, and Death Note is easily among the most engrossing and intelligently written titles I've ever read. ~Dagger~
Korey
shonen jump is one of the best when it comes to manga. i read all of the manga (espcially naruto, which can be seen in my banner). i wouldnt change a thing in the magazine at all. They are going to continue the whistle series next issue and that is a newer type of manga that hasnt been shown in sj for awhile. Beet the vandel buster looks nice as well. but shonen jump should change based on consumer demand. why change such a good thing? if they'd change, the mag would start to lose some of its feel. also some of the manga you guys are talking about dont even come from viz, the manga company that owns the mmagazine. you probably wont see any stuff that is from tokyopop or any other company besides viz. Hunter x Hunter, for example, is currently unlicensed--but I'm pretty sure Viz is making an effort to acquire most or all SJ manga that have achieved some kind of success in Japan. It's not like people haven't put some degree of thought into their suggestions. Given time, HxH will almost certainly appear in the American Shonen Jump. Death Note is a bit more iffy--although the series instantly became popular overseas, its storyline and thematic material would certainly not please American parents. The protagonist (Light) is a complete sociopath, and while he's not really presented as a hero, it's quite difficult to avoid rooting for him. So long as DN isn't censored, I don't particularly care whether it shows up in SJ before coming out in graphic novel format; I just want the manga to reach more fans. ~Dagger~

I would also like to see all the one with the police stand dude, i forget what it's called. do you guys know?
2010DigitalBoy
Im pretty sure that Viz already has the rights to anything Shonen Jump since, chances are, Shonen Jump Japan wants Viz to have them. Personally I would really like to see Hunter X Hunter come soon, but with 12 volumes of Yu Yu Hakusho about to be Shonen Jumpized, I doubt that would happen soon. It would also really neeto if they decided to but some of the SJ manga that are already GNs to be shown. But that would be kinda unfair to the people who already bought the Graphic Novels. Oh well. I think Beet the Vandel Buster lookes pretty sweet. Hey, does Viz have Fullmetal Alchemist?
Lynn Luck
Hey, does Viz have Fullmetal Alchemist?
Hmm...I don't know. o_O Anyway, I would be pretty happy if the put Rurouni Kenshin in Shonen Jump. (Or did they already do that....O_o someone please tell me.) I would also like it if they'd put Wild Half in SJ. (I read about it in a old Shonen Jump. You might not know about it. PM me for info.) Other then that, I think SJ's just fine the way it is.
Kei
Rurouni Kenshin was featured in SJ, then went to graphic novel format. Volumes 1-7 (they are presently at the beginning of the Legend of Kyoto saga) are currently available from Viz. As Shonen Jump itself is owned by Viz, all the manga featured and shown in series in SJ are licensed to Viz. Only the anime rights to such are what get thrown elsewhere (i.e. Rurouni Kenshin is Media Blasters and Shaman King, One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh! are 4Kids/FUNimation). Everyone else is waiting to see where Naruto goes (God, I wish it were ADV for some reason...), but more than likely it'll go to 4Kids/FUNi. Viz doesn't publish FMA, but after searching for a good 15 minutes, I still couldn't find out who does. Oo; I know I've seen it in Books and Company, though. >.>; As for manga I'd like to see... After Dagger mentioned it, Death Note seems like a manga that I might enjoy. They could also stick Rockman.EXE (or Megaman: NT Warrior) in, too. :p

Never hurts to ask. ^-^ I only have vol.1 of Rurouni Kenshin. (Going to get more soon...Hopefully. -.-) Yeah, Naruto would be best done be ADV. (Then again, ADV is my favorite ^^)
