Dragon Warrior
When I first heard of this movie, it was months ago in theatres as a preview. Looked stupid to me. Just a boring kids movie (I could only assume as much since it wasn't rated at the time). But boy was I wrong. It now looks cool in the newest previews shown on TV. The Story: As the official site states, it's about a load of famous scientists disappearing and Polly Perkins, a reporter for Chronicle, and the infamous pilot Sky Captain must find out why. The reason why I'm curious is because the movie has an interesting look. It's real life, but for some reason it looks a bit cartoonish. It's like the movie has a coating of toon on it. Call me crazy, I s'pose :^D Has anyone else noticed that? But yeah, I just hope there's more to the plot than what I stated up above :)
Arcadia
That's because the entire movie was filmed in front of a blue screen. None of the background you see is actually real. The actors had no props to work with, no set, only their lines and their own talents. I'm going insane with excitement for this movie. The entire 40's feel to it is just awesome, and I'm definitely a huge fan of the oldies. I even joined the official site because I'm that cool. Dragon Warrior
Oh? Is it future or does it take place in 1940? I'm confused now :^D But I like this blue screen thing. That definately will test an actor's talent. Very la de da.
Doukeshi
Its how people thought the future would look like in the 1940s. It is made in the style of old scifi movies from that period. I personally can't wait, it looks amazing and the style is just so different. Its got more of a comic book feel than a cartoony feel I think. Dragon Warrior
Well, even if they used a blue screen, it still looks pretty nifty. You gotta know a lot of this is computer graphics, but we're not exactly going to get someone to build the machines we view in it ^_^ And that's how they thought it'd look? Wow, they were way off :^P
Juu
I'm willing to see this simply because Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law are in it, and I have a lot of faith in their acting. Even though I'm not a huge fan of Angelina Jolie, I'm willing to see how this goes- especially since there aren't many other films I'm looking forward to in particular that's coming out. And it does have a cool 'feel' to it by looking at the trailers. The blue screen fact makes it sound even cooler, too. ^_^
Epitome
I am equally excited about the movie. Just the way it look like, as many have said, an oldies Sci-Fi film makes it even that much cooler. Another thing I like about it is it kinda reminds me of a Terminator type thing, Machines against Human type thing. But thats besides the point. But back to the subject, I do plan to see the film, and am looking forward to it very much.
Gavin
Interesting, most interesting. Well I've only seen a few ads for this on TV and to be honest until recently I had absolutely no idea what the film was about. After reading what's been said here I admit that I am slightly more hyped about going to see this film, I'm a big sci-fi buff even if it isn't really a sci-fi film. I'd tend to agree with Juu here, I wouldn't be the greatest fan of Ms Jolie but I'd be willing to go in with an open mind and see how it goes.
Zanarkand Abes
Looks like I am to be the dissenting vote on this movie. I personally think it looks extremely stupid and hate the commercials. The stupid announcer guy claims that if you don't like this film, than you just don't like movies. I go to a movie nearly ever friday, and I still think this looks pretty dumb. It's like Roger Rabbit meets Bugs Bunny and they are forced to stop an alien invasion, using technology from 2099, back before they even had decent TV's. So this is definitely one movie I refuse to go and watch, right along with Napoleon Dynamite. Perhaps I will see it in the dollar theater, but even that is unlikely to happen. So sorry for being the party pooper, but I had to get that out there.
