wiccansamurai
Well, the two of my niece, Robin, were for art class. Our assignment was to draw a portrait with crayons. Why? Because some big art guy did a portrait with crayons and Mrs. S wants us to copy as many styles as we can. <_< Oh well, I did like the project because it was different to use crayons, and I love drwing Robin, so eh. The ink drawing is of an original character... I have a story for her and stuff. I may even eventually draw the comic to her. I think this drawing was so-so. It at least captured who she was, in part. I need to devolope her more, and the pose was very generic.
Doukeshi
Wow, hey they're pretty good. I especially like the first one, although the hair does seem to be a bit skew if you don't mind me saying. I think its great that you did these pieces in crayon, I mean I find it really difficult to do anything in crayon, let alone a full portrait. naota
I like the third one because it reminds me of Haruko from FLCL for some reason lol.But the other ones are very good also except that the first one you messed up on the face alittle. But that doesn't matter you still draw very good :)
Ezekiel
Well, I think all of those are really good, especially the first two. I'm a massive fan of still life/realism and I always love an artist that can draw real things well (mainly because I can't). I think you done really well with these drawings; you?re certainly very talented. I?d love to see more of your art.
Guest ScirosDarkblade
You have potential, certainly. But you have to watch out about having a consistent angle from which to draw. Things look skewed (especially in the first drawing) because you drew your niece's face from the front but her hair from the top (and a bit to the side). It looks like she has a wig on and it's falling off. Just something to be careful about.
mangakiwi
AHHH!!! DEMON DEMON! Woah! That second one scared me. It's like a little Gremlin thingy! J/K I like you faces a lot, but work on the hair. The third pic looks very two dimensional. Try and expirement with different poses to get a feeling of depth to an image, anyways I like the design. Keep up! Practice makes Perfect ;) P.S. It kinda looks like she has 3 different haircuts in number one.
wiccansamurai
*Too lazy to start a new thread so brings the old one back to life.* I've been working on a few new sketches of the character I drew before. I like this one a lot. It was just a sketch to get her face, so I didn't worry about making a scene or anything. The sweater ended up being to baggy, but I still wanted it to have an off the shoulder style. The eyes were a new style for me, and I liked them a lot. Any comments?
