[I]A red scared hand turned the pages of an old, dusty book gently. The room was dark as night and the man turning the book couldn?t be seen. Another man, a young man stood at the door with a black suit on stared and sighed.

?Sir??? The young man asked in a deep Russian voice.

?Don?t call me that, Pavel, call me Scarface, that is my nickname.? The dark figure sat down said. ?And anyway, we?ve left the war outside so it doesn?t matter what you call me. We just need to get this finished.? Scarface muttered. He was called that because of the scars on his hands and face, but not many people had seen his face. Pavel, a Russian who kept his heritage pure was the top Assassin for Scarface, though he insisted on calling him sir.

?Sure, vhat if it von?t vork?? Pavel asked. There was a deep sigh coming from Scarface who suddenly stood up at the remark, and began to walk around the room.

?It will.?

?But vh-? Pavel was suddenly cut off by Scarface smashing his fist into the table, yet Pavel didn?t seem afraid.

?It WILL work! Time in one thing, but Past, Present and Future are three parts. Legend says if you bring back the needed people and items from different timelines and add them to the relic the Apocalypse that exist in oblivion will rise. Legend, Myth, Tale, Story, it?s all the same!? Scarface snarled. Pavel sighed and nodded his head.

Past, present, future. They are Time. They are the three parts of time, which contains millions of places in time as every second passes. Places, which can be travelled too. Some would say it was humanities desire to travel time, or others made it their goal in life to avoid it. Though what it is the probability of somehow accidentally tripping into another timeframe? Impossible? Perhaps not. It is considered impossible, but there are believers. What if time travel was possible? Would it be too dangerous to attempt it? Perhaps? perhaps not?

[B]2279 AD[/B]
The UWE (United Worlds of the Empire) was the name of the nearest solar system besides earth?s, with only a few planets with life forms on it, 4 to be exact. The four worlds had made a small empire, and over 100 years ago (2170) they had started an all-out war against the forces of Earth. The man, or alien who lead the attack was known as Scarface (real name is too hard to pronounce to humans). He was never provoked, but yet he took out the attack. Since Earth was highly advanced at this time, they had neighbour in planets nearby who agreed to assist in the battle. Scarface became the ultimate figure of evil for provoking such a war in a peaceful galaxy, and was the cause of all the trouble for the 100 years and onwards. Scarface was advancing on Earth for technology that know one had heard of, and anyone who was against him was ordered at any cost of keep him away from Earth. But any cost wasn?t enough.

Scarface took his war the Earth, and there his past was revealed. Scarface, for some reason believed in a powerful relic that existed on Earth and, used rightly, could be used with his technology to ripe through time and travel across it. At first it was believed that he wanted to explore and used force instead of diplomacy, but the true colours had never been revealed. The relic that he spoke was had been totally destroyed in a battle around the shores of Earth. Scarface was meant to call off his attack, but didn?t. He continued fighting. Since Earth had never really known much about the 4 races in the UWE they couldn?t know what cost they would go too. Scarface, however, wouldn?t stop until Earth was totally destroyed.

On November 15th, 2280 AD, Scarface was killed in battle, on Mount Everest. His action there where unknown, but the rest of the story was revealed: The 4 races of the Empire, which had attacked, had finally been revealed: Tarkè, Zeator, Boulde and Southan (Scarface?s kind), and all those races had been banned from crossing the line of space outside their system. Scarface had believed in something more than time travel, but an Apocalypse in the future. His intension had either been to save a future, or bring the Apocalypse to the past. There was no more information revealed from the war after that, not even the descriptions of the 4 races or Scarface. No one knew why he was called that, and very many knew the War ever happened. The information was far too sensitive to anyone to be revealed, and was enclosed as it should be.

[B]2301 AD[/B]
The UPA (Universal Protection Agency) had been founded to prevent any more wars and had the complete information of the Scarface incident given to them. The UPA discovered a second relic, which was exactly like the one described in the writings of the War. The relic was taken by the UPA, and, instead and destroying it, decided to make Scarface?s time travel theory come to life. They advanced quickly, and for the first time a human was sent into the past, asked to bring back an item to prove it.

After testing, it was realized that going to the past would not harm the present of future, because history could not be altered. The portal was locked away and only used when testing was needed, but when many more projects came up, the time portal was shut down, serving no propose among the universe and left under the ground of the base, to rot, to never be used again?

[B]2334 AD[/B]
Protosis Alberiv was a historian, human. He was the only human who had the files of the Scarface war and not a member of the UPA. He had studied them and therefore believed Scarface was right. He wanted to prove that Scarface meant good because he believed that, so he got a group of scientist and a retired UPA member to help him work on the portal. The portal itself was inactive and needed work, but in time it came to function again.

Though the mistake Protosis made was trusting the UPA member. The UPA member was a surgically altered Tarké who murdered everyone when the portal was made to work. He kept some of them alive until they made a way for the portal to be used through the small relic, so that he could jump through time to complete his task. When it was made, he killed the scientist himself and went on his way.

All he needed to do was travel to different timelines and collect people and items which would be needed to bring all times into one and let the Apocalypse rule under his hand. It was an ancient way, which Scarface believed in himself but never could bring it to reality. The man who was going to jump time to time gave himself the name Protosis, from the man who revived the ancient power of the relic. When Past, Present and Future became one, which would spark the start of a new generation of evil and power for one man. Past, Present and Future? as one.

[B]2337 AD[/B]
The UPA found that the Portal had been activated and that the relic was gone. Though a power source had been left behind which could be used as a false relic for time travel, so then a new portal was made. It was made as a vessel, though. A space vessel, which would orbit around Earth forever. The chosen people and the project came up with a way to keep the ship out of the cracks of time, invisible to anyone in any timeline. It also meant that the men and women above could not age, only if they left the vessel.

Soon, a few people had been brought from all timelines. Past, Present of Future. They had been chosen, and asked to leave whatever they had behind them and start a new way of life out of time to stop Protosis from completing what Scarface had started. Once a few had been chosen, they had to transport through the portal whenever the relic was activated and, hopefully, stop Protosis from making his move.

They are Time. Three parts, never one.

This RPG will, hopefully, be successful. There will be a chapter every time we jump to the next timeline, and a break between each Chapter. There will be a brief explanation of each Chapter every time, and of course, the Chapter?s are not limited to the small explanation. Let?s say Protosis was meant to obtain an item, and to save it from being destroyed he through it into a timeline that only he knew of, then that would be find. However, actions from Protosis can only be controlled by me, so no huge story changes unless informing me.

There can be none of the 4 races from the Scarface War, since no one knows what they look like. However, you can be from any time period, though anyone far in the future must not have a huge advantage over everyone else. You could be an alien of some sort, or a human from the past, but no God Modding, AT ALL! Characters from 1780 can be as good as characters from the year 6000.

I have the right to choose who is in and out of the RPG. I don?t want to see poor sign-up?s, and if I don?t think your character would be right or think you need to improve your sign-up then I have the right to remove you from the RPG.

[B]Timeline:[/B] Unknown, said to be billions of years into the future where the sun is burning out and the world is an ice age.

[B]Special Skills:[/B] To survive, Sarek is very acrobatic and skilful with throwing arrows. Since the world in inhabited by creatures that live in the ice and dark, his hearing and strength is heighten to survive. Because of the way the humans evolved, Sarek can also live a triple lifespan of a normal human. Sarek also is very skilled in fighting, and doesn?t believe in death because in all truth he has nothing to lose.

[B]Weapons:[/B] A small spear, which he carries in his left, had, capable of cutting through rock if thrown hard enough. He also has one long sword that is kept on his back. This is made of the same steel as his spear, and can also cut through rock, but it has never been done on real rock (all the rock in his time was frozen). See description for images of the weapons.

[B]Special Items:[/B] The mask over his mouth is linked to a small cube of liquid in his back that makes Sarek highly adaptable. This can let his breath under water and is the only thing, which kept him alive through the ice age. It heats his body so he doesn?t freeze to death and stops him from breathing in harmful gases.

[B]Weakness:[/B] Sarek is blind. He can see the outline of most things from the heat coming off it (inferred), but aside from that Sarek is completely blind. If he was stabbed in the back and it pierced the liquid bottle in him he would go completely blind and never be able to see again. Sarek can also lose his vision temporally by being struck on the head.

[B]Personality:[/B] Quiet and lonely. In his future he is the only human. Since he never really talked in his timeline, he never really does anyway. If he does speak, he?s quiet negative because he has nothing at all to lose. He doesn?t laugh, love or feel anything which would be classed as ?nice?. Sarek isn?t very emotional at all and finds it hard to see from the other person?s point of view. If Sarek sees someone in danger and think it would put his mission in danger to save them, he wouldn?t save them. He does care for some people, but never acts on it. Sarek is like his world in the future: cold and lonely.

Sarek has never cried before or grieved anyone or anything. In fact he has never felt many emotions or seen them. Since ice creatures ruled his world he never fully understood that he was human. Sarek would rather be left alone then being with anyone else and has never thought about comforting anyone else. Compliments are also out of the question.

[B]Bio:[/B] Sarek?s only remembered his father from his family, the only man with the technology to live outside the caves of the ground. Sarek?s father had died when Sarek was 14, very early for Sarek. So he took his father?s technology and left the caves to live there. He only had a small dagger, or small spear for a weapon at first and for years he was the one being chased and the only way he could eat was hope the animal chasing him would trip and die. For the first few years, Sarek was lucky in his life. He had travelled far, but found no other humans. As he grew, he found tactics to lure animals into traps, but still couldn?t fight them. At this time, his eyes allowed his to see perfectly and he wasn?t blind. When he was 20, Sarek had attacked one of the largest creatures and killed it instantly, and knowing he could kill like that he didn?t lure things into traps anymore, he attacked head on, full force.

Though time was passing slowly for Sarek and he felt nothing, loneliness was growing everyday. He was sat on the cliff of the highest point when a tiger-like creature had attacked him, a young creature, but Sarek didn?t kill it. Instead he let it live and began to walk off, but the creature followed him. Sarek was confused why it would follow him and not act on instinct, but after awhile, Sarek found a friend that he named Gaur. Sarek wasn?t lonely anymore, but a conversation with Gaur wasn?t likely. After that, Sarek did more daring things, like jumping off high cliffs into ice lakes and provoking dangerous animals. Gaur had helped him, too. For a few years, the thought of being the only human in the world hadn?t occurred to him. In fact, he was the only human in the Universe. All the other planets had been left, and no humans had survived. But Sarek didn?t care about that. The only thing that he cared about was living the rest of his life.

Sarek and Gaur came face to face with another creature like Gaur, so Sarek tried to stop it from harming Gaur. However, Gaur was murdered by the creature, and for the first time Sarek became angry. He attacked the other creature, and when stabbing it, the blood went into Sarek?s eyes, blinding him from only seeing the outline of things from their temperature. The only colour Sarek saw from then on was red. After that he decided that he wouldn?t kill himself in case any other life form found him, instead he promised himself he would stay alive until the end of his lifespan and prove that the human was a worthy one. However, Sarek didn?t know that his lifespan over 250 years.

To Sarek?s shock, he had been travelling around for over 70 years, and had come to the exact same place in which he was born. Though he bodies of the other humans had been frozen, Sarek recognized them all. He found two scripts of paper with writing on them, which explained about his family: His father being genetically altered to adapt to changes around him with the technology inside him and the equipment, and Sarek?s mother being
One of the humans with the much longer lifespan. Sarek then found out that his parents where meant to die and he was meant to be the last of his kind, but Sarek didn?t know why. He then read of a weapon across the lands, deep beneath the waters and capable of cutting through rock. Without anything to do with his life, Sarek went in search of the weapon.

He came to what used to be known as the Atlantic Ocean, which he expanded miles out covering most land. Sarek dived in straight away, and to the bottom. Something snagged his leg and pulled Sarek right to the bottom of the ocean, a giant octopus of some kind. There was no way for Sarek to kill it, he had no way of tell where its head was let alone where to strike. In an act of desperation Sarek ran from the creature, and ended up in a cave below the water where humanoid inhabitants lived, able to survive for some reason. The few people they?re said that the creature in the water could never let them live and that Sarek was the person who, at the right time was meant to free them. They said they had technology that enabled space travel like thousands of years ago so that they could live and move to another planet. Sarek agreed to help and was given the sword to fight the monster.

The people requested Sarek gave the sword back, even if they died to honour them. Sarek promised he would, and helped free them by slaughtering the monster. He was then able to find a shortcut up to the surface and get them all safely there. However, on the surface they began to die. At this time Sarek had something to prevent them from dieing, but didn?t give it to them. They offered to help him off the planet, but Sarek still didn?t save them. Even after their deaths, Sarek did not give them back the sword; instead he kept it for himself. Though when they all died, Sarek didn?t feel for them, he didn?t feel any remorse at all, instead he just went on his own again.

Sarek was 124 years old when he was about to give up, but he didn?t. He had been around the world many times, over and over again, the best he could do was perfecting what he already knew. Fighting, killing and surviving. He led a boring and lonely life, but Sarek had known nothing more. He had nothing to lose every day so every action he did was daring and putting his life at risk, but somehow he always got through and lived the next day. He perhaps wanted to die a honourable death, but he never could and always lived. After awhile, Sarek simply accepted the fact that he wouldn?t be able to kill himself.

At 201 years old, just around the time the sun was going to completely burn out, a man came from the caves in which Sarek was awaiting his death. The man claimed to be from the past and had created a society of people from all timelines in order to stop a man from bringing the three parts of time together. He requested Sarek help, and told his about the vessel orbiting around the Earth, which would keep them immortal. Sarek said a plain no at first, but when the man said it was his chance to prove something more of his life, Sarek said he would do it. When Sarek was taken back through the portal, he promised himself that he would never, ever return to his old life and that he would rather die.[/SIZE]

Weakness: Because of mantis's stubborn personality, he hates working in groups and taking orders from people who he thinks are "inferior to him"

Bio: Little is known about Rey Mantis's pasts apart from that his parents were tortured to death right in front of his eyes, this made him stubborn and self dependent, and forced him to make a living by killing other people; being an assassin.

Mantises travelled around the globe killing people untill one day someone was sent out to kill him. In a fierce and bloody battle, Mantis destroyed the assassin with ease, and realised that killing people because your told to kill them wasn?t a life at all. It was just basically the life of a dog; he was always being told what to do. So Mantis set out to find a real challenge.

5 years later Mantis had killed allot of the world?s greatest fighters, but there was 1 fighter he was always looking for, his parent?s killer. No matter where in the world Mantis went, His parents killer always seemed to elude him, until one day in London, England, Mantis tracked him down and savagely torched him until he died a most horrible death. But mantis still wasn?t satisfied by this challenge, so he still wonders the earth looking for the person who can really challenge him and bring him what he really wants, death.

Skills: Canathael is a young master of the magical arts, most of what he does although is more of a mind over matter skill. Using this he can erase pain and summon strength into his mind and those of others by the weaving of charms or words, also gaining him reputation of being a healer. He is also said to be a master of the Wind and Earth, but this is merely speculation.

Weapons: Canathael carries with him at all times a large ironwood staff, a leather sling, and a Dagger.

Special Items: A pair of self made wire glasses (which he calls "second eyes"), and a satchel of charm materials

Weaknesses: Canathael, is human, and being so, he is capable of dying. he knows very little of his surroundings, and being from the medieval ages he has not been exposed to many diseases, making his imune system very weak. This slows him down at times, and eventualy may kill him.

Personality: Canathael is incredibly polite and friendly at all times. He posseses a grace fit for royalty and uses it as much as possible. rarely does his angry or bitter nature show through, but it will on occasion when he becomes emotionaly vulnerable or possibly frightened.

Canathael has his own system of justice and values that would compare to that of a knight. He gives everyone he meets a chance to earn his trust and once that trust is established he will fight to the death for that person if the means are justifiable. If Canathael is betrayed by someone he places trust in, it can mean serious consequences. He may not outright show his displeasure, but he will be extremely cold and shunning, and may just aid in their own demise. Canathael is seldom forgiving, but it all really depends on how he reacts to any given situation.

Canathael may seem violent and harsh to those who have wronged him, but it is no means to fear him, he is very accepting and kind, giving all that he can to help or aid, even if it doesn't profit him in any way shape or form.

Description: A tall, lean man, addorned with earthy brown hair and deep Ivy eyes. His skin is clear and pale, smooth to the touch. He wears long deep green robes trimmed with with gold fabric, that reach to his feet, hanging loose from the slender form of his body, and browned at the bottoms holding evidence of long travels. Underneith his layers of robes he wears only a simple cotton shirt, white and worn thin, along with heavy brown slacks tucked into leather boots.

Bio: Canathael Merrison (you'll find that he likes the name "Cael"), came into this world alone. His mother had died giving birth to him, and little was known about his father, who had passed through his village one night nine months earlier. His name was given to him by the village midwife, Anna Merrison, a kind old healer who had addopted the boy as her own. Anna Had raised Cael to be the kind charming gentleman he would one day become, and taught him everything she knew about the art of "magic". When Cael had reached the age of twelve he was sent to a neighboring village to treat The wounded from a small battle against a group of bandits. Despite the boy's young age, he was able to treat and save most of the villagers, giving him a small reputation of a great healer. Upon returning to his own village he found his dying foster mother bound to a pole in the village proper. With her last words she had explained to him that a botched delivery had turned the villagers against her, giving them means to accuse her of being a witch. Choked with sorrow and tears Cael had agreed to leave the village to continue his studies, spare finding the same fate as Anna.

And Leave he did. Cael wandered from village to village for years, gaining knowlege, healing and doing his land the greater good. Yet his knowlege for this "magic" was insatiable, and everywhere he went little knew about it or refused to speak of it. When he was nineteen years old he had arrived at the Kingdom of Erios, following a rumor of a powerfull mage offering services inside the castle. The Mage that the stories had spoken of was named Aragog, an ancient fossil of a man who was pleased at the prospect of an apprentice. Although he was not as kind or as warm as his beloved Anna, Aragog taught him much of what he wanted to know.

Soon Cael was surpassing his teacher four years later, and at the growth of a fine man also catching the eyes of many maids. But there was one that Cael had wanted to make his own, and her name was Elsia. Not long after they had met the two had started aranging small assignations away from prying eyes, and for a while Cael was pleased with his life, he had his love and he had his gift. Aragog however was not happy, he was displeased at the rate his apprentice was growing, and he was willing to take steps to show who was still more powerfull...

Cael had found Elsia dead shortly after, and he knew there was no question as to who had killed her. Aragog had not denied this fact either, he simply stated that celibacy was an important part of being a mage, and that he should become accustomed to it. It took no time at all to strangle the life from that old fool, yet Cael was horrified at what he had done when he finaly regained some sense. He did not take responsibility for Aragog's death, simply stating that the old man had finaly met the end of his days peacefully.

For a month after, Cael locked himself away in Aragog's old study, looking for a way to restore his precious Elsia, perhaps he would find something that could help him reverse these events, although he did not find anything. One night while he was pouring through a large book for answers a strange man had entered his chamber, He stated that he was from the future, looking for candidates to save the future present and past, then insisted that Cael come with him, "for the greater good" he said. This thought appealed to Canathael, and he agreed to go, thinking in the back of his mind that maybe the answer that he was looking for could be found in this new journey.[/size][/color]

Alot of Moon Drifts are born different,some people have a half moon, some people have a crescent moon, some people have a full moon.These show how special they are if someone has a full moon that means they are extrordinary.Everytime there is a full moon all of the tattoos and signs change to a full moon also making them very powerfull only untill the full moon goes down.

[U][I]Death Chant[/I][/U]|Sutaru says a chant that turns his area in complete darkness and cuts off the sun lights making everyone except him start to freeze to death,but he hasn't mastered this technique yet.

[U][I]Speed and kicking[/I][/U]|He is very quickin running so since he is fast with legs he is also good at kicking,and sometimes he gets so fast he is only a blur to the human eye.

[B]Weapons:[/B] [I]Three Katana's[/I]|He has three long katans that he uses all at the same time when in battle.It took him quite a while to master it but he did.Two of the katanas have a navy blue sheeth and one blood red sheeth. They seem unbreakable especially to a sword from the 2,000's since these swords were made of a new material called "Rone" that is very powerfull and can break something made by metal,gold,and even can brake a ruby.

[U][I]Bomberang[/I][/U]|He has one bomberang that is as big as the height to his elbow to his hand. It is all navy blue and has images of bright red stars all over it.

[B]Weakness:[/B]His weakness is fire,its not any type of fire but only blue fire and higher that can kill him easily if it touches him for to long.A regular orange fire won't effect him as much.

[B]Personality:[/B] Sutaru is a pervert at sometimes but only to his friends that are girls,also if he knows a girl for a long time he will get alittle perverted with them also. But Sutaru is also very friendly and caring,he trys to make friends with anyone he is around and likes to start conversations.But in battle he gets very serious, fearless, and doesn't play around.

[B]Description:[/B] Sutaru has long wavy black hair that goes to the middle of his back.His hair covers his right eye and his eyes,he has black bushy eyebrows and navy blue eyes. Instead of pupils he has a crescent moon as a pupil that allows him to see better than a regular human. On the middle of his forehead he has a navy blue crescent moon,he also has very sharp teeth and pink gums.He is slightly buff but has a good amount of muscles and has a full six pack.He wears no shirt on him so they can see the big half moon on his back. He wears navy blue tapping on both of his hands that goes all the way to his elbow and stop.The tapping on his hands are partially ripped up showing parts of his arm.He also wears navy blue tapping as a belt and a pair of baggy thin pants that are navy blue.He is bare foot so he is more silent that way.

[B]Bio:[/B] Sutaru was born as a only child and his parents were Moon Drifts and were famous scientist. They tried to encourage him to learn science and he did,he was training to be a scientist when he turned to the age of four. He went didn't go to a regular school but he went to a school where you had to fight to survive.His parents didn't want him now know how to defend himself so he went to a school where it was only Moon Drifters who went there so the whole school changed. There was more gravity which allowed them to jump higher but it was harder to fight.

The whole school had to go to training everyday which was very intense since it was like trying to train their self like a pool of water.It was very hard to train because the gravity was so hard they could bearly move in the gravity they were in. But it was only in that specific room.

When Sutaru turned 9 he encountered his first bully and there was a different way of handling it. The principle aranged a way to make them fight and who ever wins never gets bullied again and the person who loses gets teased and suspended from the school. Instead of Sutaru using pure strength he used smarts and had liquid coated needles which he threw at the bully's arm. It injected the liquid in him and he went numb and couldn't move his body.That made it an autommatic win which made his name very powerfull in the school and his parents rewarded him with 3 swords.

He never used them and when he turned 20 he moved out and started training his scientific fighting.Thats when hewas reminded about his 3 swords which he put some technology into it to make who ever it strikes get petrifyed.He then turned into a drifter where he started drifting around the world occasionally stopping crimes if he sees them and he had no home.But he still carried his scientific supplies along with his 3 around him with a little gem that he carries around with him that can store up to 100 objects.When he was traveling through a forest one day he encountered a door big as a tree in the middle of the forest with statues around it that were a pheonix which in that time represents a time traveler.

He was curious so he went up to it and got close to the door he the door imediatetly opened and sucked him in like a black hole. He was brought to a new time period which he found fascinating but still wanted to get to his own time and is looking for a new portal while taking his time since he kinda likes this time period......

However, poo62.2, your character isn't what I want. Your personality needs work and your bio doesn't tell a great deal about what we need to know. For instance, "5 years later Mantis had killed allot of the world?s greatest fighters" doesn't tell us why he did this, how he did it and so on. It makes your character seem like the kind who would kill for no reason, and in this RPG all the characters must have atleast some sort of pure good in them willing to help. Your bio doesn't tell use how you got most of your items, like the coat which seems good, and very little about your past. Sorry, but perhaps another time.

[b]Bio:[/b] Pietr was born and raised in Hitler's Germany. He , however, does not subscribe to rascism and the Nazi ideal of the "pure Aryan race." This is mainly due to the fact that he spent several years studying abroad at a boarding school in England, where he made several good freinds, who he remained in contact with after he came home. He dearly loves his home, and sincerely believes that the war is for the good of the Fatherland, despite his disillusionment with the reality of war.

His parents were fairly affluent, and where able to send him to boarding school in England. When he does speak English, it is with an odd mix of German and British accents. On the eve of war, in 1939, he was brought home from college in the United States by his parents. He immediately enlisted in the Wehrmacht, and particapate in the invsion of Poland, where the quick victory boosted his confidence. Similarly, the victory in France led Pieter and his companions to believe that the war was over, and they could sit in Occupied France and make friends with the french ladies while they waited for the invasion of Britain. It never came.

In 1941, Pieters Regiment was shipped to Poland, to particapte in the invasion of the Soviet Union. The summer months were full of easy victory and celbration. Moscow would fall, and the communists would be crushed! Than came the Russian winter. Pieter and his companions froze during the winter, awaiting the thaw so that they ould be warm again. By the spring of 1942, Pieter and his freinds were disheartened. The quick victory had not come, and a protracted war was expected. Pieter's friends began to die off, in 1s, and 2s, and 3s, they were killed by the Russians, until only a few men were left in the orignal unit were left. By this time, it was 1943, Pieters unit was shipped back to France, to await replacemnts until they could be sent back to Russia. While on field exercises, Pieter became lost in the forest, and seeing a small farm, stopped to ask for directions, when no one awnsered the door, he pushed it open and was sucked into a confrontation about which he knew nothing.....

Special Skills: Maya doesn't believe in magic, being from present day Earth. She also doesn't really believe in anything magic related. She doesn' agree with her friends who like to use tarot cards to tell their fortunes. She finds such games stupid and non-sequental. Maya is a fighter however, and her favorite technique is called "Blitz", where she can strike an opponent 10 times in one second.

Weapons: one short sword, that is based on the kantanas of olden day Japan. Also, she carried a can of mase in one boot, and two daggers in the other.
Special Items: I guess you could consider her can of mase a special item. ^_^. Also, she wears a charm necklace she got from her grandmother that supposively has "special powers", though Maya just thinks it's some crack-pots tale.

Weakness: Maya is defeatly afriad of water due to a tragic accident when she was little and almost drowned. Even the rain makes her scared.

Personality: May is VERY realistic. If she can't see something with her own two eyes, she basically doesn't believe it exists, or is possible. She is also some what of a smart ***. She can be very kind and loveable, but you have to get past her rough exterior, something she hardly lets anyone do. She is also very smart. She is the top student in her class, with a GPA of 3.9995, although she never studies. Kinda like natural smartness, that comes along with her natural smart-*** abilities. She can seem really cold at times, but in reality, it's hard for her to make a friend. She believes in Murphey's law, anything bad that can happen will, and she also believes that anything good you have can be easily taken away. But once she makes a friend, she will protect that person no matter what the cost.

Description: Maya is slightly on the tall side, coming in at 5 feet 9 inches. She has semi-long brown hair that goes about half-way down her back. Her hair is also naturally wavy, and slightly curly at the end near the tips of it. She has curly/puffed up bangs. She can usually be seen wearing her school uniform which is a white blouse, and a blue-plaid skirt that goes to her knee. She then wears blue boots (the standard shoe for her school), which are flat on the bottom, and have no heal. These boots are made of a special fiber that make them really comfotable and are stretchy enough to allow the person to move freely in them. She also usually wears her hair up in a pony-tail so it doesn't look so long, and doesn't get in her face as much.

Bio: Maya is the second child of Dursten and Kalenna Engel. She is the twin sister of Miguel Engel. The little shack they lived in on 42nd street was no place for children to live. Full of violence and ganster activities, Maya had a rough childhood. Her mother caught a fatel disease when she was just two, leaving her and Miguel to be raised by a father who was never there, and never really cared for them after Kaleena died. He would never look at Maya because she looked so much like her mother. She was essentialy raised by her 2 min older brother, and the other kids that lived in the neighborhood. Maya had a grandmother, who came to visit them once every month. It was during one of these visits that Maya inherited her charm necklace. Her grandmother always said that it had "special powers", but then Maya questioned why her grandmother had not given this item to her earlier, it might have been able to save the mother she barely remembered life. It was during this span of her life, that Maya became an ample fighter, the only reason being that it was the only way to survive. Although she was really a sweet and caring girl, she always showed the calm and quite side of herself, letting her brother do the talking.

One week, when Maya was eight, there was a rain storm that lasted all week. Every day it contiuned to rain. Unfortuenty, 42nd street was next to a little creek that ran though the town. Due to the torental rainfall, the creek flooded. While walking home from school one day with her brother, a dam near the school broke, causing a rush of water to fall onto the neighboring streets. This rush of wave came right at Maya and Miguel, and both where swallowed by it. Miguel always kept a close grip on his sisters hand, and swam her to the safety of a nearby hanging tree branch, fighting off the current in the process, but by the time he got her on there, he had no strength left, and he was seen no more.

Since her home was now destroyed, and her brother gone, Maya and her father moved to a different town, since he was also getting transfered. There she was forced to intermingel with the locals, by now she was cold and shelter, afraid of making a friend for the simple fact that she figured she wold lose them eventually, just like she lost her brother. She has really only made one friend in her life, a girl in her class named Katie. It is through Katie that some of Maya's rough exterior has started to melt. She also started to "hang out" with the other girls in her class due to Katie's influence. It was there that she learned about tarot cards, and watched some of the other girls use them on themselves, trying to figure out their future. One girl asked if Maya wanted her fortune told, and even though she refused, they did it anyways. Her fortune, "You will lose the person most dear to you in a terrible accident."

Maya never really believed in the stupid fortune, she didn't believe in all that magic junk. Living on the street had taught her that magic was just some old wife's fairy tale. Something you read in all those history books. She still didn't believe the stupid fortune when Katie was hit by a car right in front of her eyes. That was when she vowed to never let anyone get close to her again.[/COLOR][/FONT]

Timeline: 239 BC shortly after Emperor Qin?s rise to power in China. He and his son ruled the Qin dynasty until 207 BC when the Han dynasty began. This time period is contemporary with Alexander the Great in Greece and the Middle East.

Special Skills: Qang Li is a healer who also practices various mystical powers. She has premonitions of the future and the past, and can make people forget things when needed.

Weapons: Li is skilled in the martial arts, and carries two short bladed swords. These were originally made of bronze with jade encrusted grips, but after being abducted she traded the blades in for a diamond edged stainless steal with molybdenum blades.

Special Items: She took some of her mystical herbs with her. Generally these can speed the healing process of minor wounds, but they are pathetically out of date in comparison to the medical technologies available at later dates.

Weakness: Li?s complete ignorance to the technological advances of the future and languages other than her Chinese weaken her ability to contribute to the group.

Personality: Li is quiet and reserved. She respects traditions and cultures, while holding her own Confucius beliefs above all others. Li believes in honor above all else the respectful relationship between leader and follower.

In a group Li appears very submissive, while trusting her own judgment above the decisions of others. When in stressful situations, Li acts on her own intuition. She is able to calmly remove distractions from her mind and focus on the task at hand. Li also holds her Confucius beliefs above everything. Through this enlightened understanding she is able to truly know herself and live her life in a proper manner.

Bio:

Qang Li was born to a nobility class family in the Qin providence in 271 BC. There her father taught her much about the Confucian ways of their people and many other subjects usually reserved only for the wealthy men, such as political science. She even learned some martial arts as a small child and used this knowledge to help her survive her years to come.

At this time, aggressive warlords controlled the various states of ?China?, and the people of Qin were constantly under threat of attack from the barbarians from the north or the Chinese people from the south and west. When Li was 15, a woman for her time, the ruler of Qin set out and conquered the various warring tribes. His rule set about a new order for the people of the newly united China. Qang Li and her family looked to Qin for a new Confucian ruler to unite the people and keep China strong. What they got was a strong effective ruler, but at what cost?

At first Li and her family were content to live under Qin?s rule, though he destroyed the class structure that made the Qang family strong. Qin centralized the government around him, refusing to give up power to any feudal lords. Progress came about in China until Qin decided to stop all opposition to his rule by destroying the knowledge of the past and confiscating all privately owned weapons. This included the burning of many Confucian books and the murder of anyone who spoke out against this new way of life.

The Qang family could not stand for this oppression and decided to save some of their most sacred manuscripts and weapons. The family left their homes to hid out in a peasant village. A local family took in the Qang family and Li was able to learn much about the various herbs that grew in the country and their uses. It was here in the village that Li learned how to focus her mental capacity to perform various tasks such as seeing into the future or past along with influencing the mental abilities of others around her.

By this time, Emperor Qin had divided China into 36 providences each governed by three of Qin?s loyal men. One day a convoy of royal overseers came to the Qang?s village and accused Li? father and their host of inspiring rebellion, and sentenced them both to death along with Li?s mother. In the commotion Li was able to induce a hypnotic effect upon the officials and convinced them that the host was innocent, but she was not able to save the lives of her parents. After the horrific scene in which her parents were boiled alive, Li ran away to live alone in the mountains.

Li went to the mountains with only a pouch of herbs, some Confucius manuscripts and her father?s swords. She lived in the mountains for three months, learning the ways of sword fighting and falling into despair, until she met a strange group of travelers. Just by looking at them, Li knew they were from another time. They told her of the years to come, and how Qin?s wall at their northern boundary, still under construction, would one day be seen from the heavens. The strange people then told her of the time portal and their mission. They requested that she join them in their quest, and she accepted saying, ?There is no more that I can do for my people here in this time, but perhaps through this journey I can restore the Middle Kingdom to her rightful spot under a good Confucian rule. I will go with you and help you in any way I can.? [/COLOR]
