Vicky
Welcome to the Underground thread! Here I'm open to any suggestions for anything, really, and I thought I might as well make a thread providing information on the RPG and the Chapters. But first I thought it would be a good idea to start off with the way the vessel outside of time is set out, I mean like where the rooms are, what's in there and so on: First there are 4 floors: 1st Floor (ground) : Training rooms, equipment, medical bay and the Portal behind several closed doors. 2nd Floor: Members quarters, guest rooms and Entertainment rooms. 3rd Floor: Dining rooms and kitchens. 4th Floor (top) : Main control access (Weapons, the Portal, shields and all main functions), Science labs, study rooms and a briefing room. There will be an character in the group who is not played by anyone (Dave) who designed most of the ship and knows everything about it, and is the only man who can open the Portal. That's just a brief idea. Anyway, this is what I have planned for the first chapter (briefly) : -(Timedate unknown) Jurassic Ages. Protosis is found wondering around the Jurassic ages of Earth with an unknown creatures which appears to be half flesh half machine. His intensions are unknown, but soon t is revealed that Protosis is searching for a certain Dinosaur's egg, said to be one of a kind, either to keep the creature inside it or do something with the egg! Just a brief draft - remember, I'm open for suggestions!
Angelus_Necare
Are the time travels going to be specificaly linear? Or are the "sands" crewq going to hop back and forth? Also vicky, you mentioned aomething about specific character chapters, care to elaborate, it sounds fun :).
DuoMax
So all of the characters have been transported to this ship thing?
Inari
This sounds like fun! Here's my question: How are we going to break the language barrier? We could have universal translator implanted in our boddies. We could stay in the space craft and learn languages the old fashon way. We could even use a hypnotic learning device to lean languages. I don't care too much either way, but I think that this will make it more believeable.
Vicky
To answer all questions: The time travels will be a little spefic. Each Chapter we leap to a time frame, then back to the ship, or sometimes straight to another timeline. Basically, the "Dave" character tells us where to go to next or if we have to come back. The Chapters about one or a few group of characters is basically that I'll either make a Chapter in their timeframe, or they're the one(s) doing the most work for some reason. It's kinda like the stuff you see in Sliders, Star Trek and most series. I'll explain about this through the chapters, though. Yes, the characters will already be on the ship. The RPG will take place roughly about 5 days after each person arrived so they know a little about what's going on. The language question is a good one. The explain that, I think I'll use the Universal Translator, which could basically be a small chip or something. I never thought about that, so thanks for the suggestion Inari! I'll get this started then, I guess, but Sign-Up's will be left open for a short while.
Angelus_Necare
It doesn't look like anyone else will sign up anytime soon, Perhaps the Signup curriculum tends to frighten off the casual RPer. Oh well. Less people is more I suppose. And Vicky, what would you like as far as posting material? Since Godmodding other characters isn't really allowed, posting only a short amount of material may occur, is this ok? oh, and i'd like to also say that anyone is free to make long conversation and use Canathael, just as long as you understand his character and you don't change anything drasticaly. Tiff out.
duorocks17
I have a question Vicky. This may seem kinda stupid, but it popped into my head. Now, when we travel to this different time periods, are we going to have different sets of clothes so that we match better? Or are we just going to stand out? I know some of our characters would look really wierd in certain time periods, and well, all of us will we went actually start with the Jurrassic period. So I was just wondering.
Vicky
Ahhh, I'm way ahead of you Duorocks! Well anyway, in time periods where people are very different, like the Old West* then we'll be given clothes to match the others. Time periods with not many humans or in the far future also we'll be the same acept for some of us from the far past. As far as the posting material, a short amount will be fine. Atleast two or three paragraphs, each roughly four lines will do me fine, don't worry it doesn't have to be a LoTR chapter per post ;) * (A little hint for what I have planned for the second Episode).
Angelus_Necare
Old West* * (A little hint for what I have planned for the second Episode).[/SIZE']
*Does the Happy dance* Vicky, will you Marry me? j/k lmao. That sounds really cool, cool enough to where I wanna skip through the Prehistoric. Oh and Deimos if you're reading this, Go post!
Vicky
Consider yourself one step closer to the Old West Angelus, because we've just entered the Jurassic Age! Upon entering this place, we don't all have to stick together. We could spilt up and get into lots of trouble, so don't be afraid of getting into a fight with a bunch of dinosaurs by yourself or running into Marrek or Protosis (or even the Wolf-machine). This Chapter will be a little slower, but somewhere near Chapter Three we'll be making several jumps in one Chapter and losing each other in different time frames, you know? I just think it's best to get used to the whole RPG and our characters before making big story-line Chapters.
DuoMax
Will we also be given weaponry to match the period? For Pieter, at least, he can use any firearm he can lay his hands on.
Angelus_Necare
How much longer should this chapter go on Vicky? I imagne we're going to be chasing Protosis and Marrek for a while, so nobody can actualy kill them right?
Vicky
We'll chase them fore awhile. Sarek's group will chase Marrek while the others could (if they wish) encounter Protosis, but don't worry about his description. The Chapter will end shortly, as soon as the egg is retrieved, so I think we'll end somewhere near the end of page four, just a rough guess.

Vicky
Nope, it's not just you... A few people have stopped posting, partly my fault because I thought it was dead and made another RPG ^_^;; Though, everyone who's still posting can continue. I'm going to post soon, so I won't give up. Inari, Daisuke and DuoMax need to post then it'll be back to normal.
Angelus_Necare
Hurrah! The thread's back on track! Now I have a question, when we arrive at the old west will our characters have to assume proffessions and false identities to fit into the time period? I don't imagine they could just waltz into town together, or most likely interact as a group in most situations. just a thought.
Vicky
I thought about that. Since modifying the past wouldn't effect the future (unless Protosis gets his way and, blah-de-blah), then our characters would just walk into town (though they wouldn't appear right in front of someone). They'll have the right clothing and weaponary on them, and also we'll be aload to talk about what's going on with Protosis. But we could just have some fun in this one, trying to act normal with the people of the town, while also remembering we're new in town ^_^
Angelus_Necare
Alright, so Inari's out. Does this mean it will remain as the five of us or will you be opening the signups again? Just a question floating about... Also, great job on the confrontation Vicky, I couldn't have written it better myself :) And i didn't mean to beg, but what's the next age going to be? *get's on knees with big puppydog eyes*
Vicky
It might remain the five of us, but Li will be in it for a few more missions. I might re-open the sign-up's to anyone who's interested, but they're character might have to come in a little later. Hehe, okay I'll tell you, just a simple brief: The year 2010. Protosis jumps to the golden age of crime straight from the Wild West, and when the group is split up trying to catch Marrek and Protosis, the two halves of the group are dragged into a dangerous gang war. With enemies on their side, and their other friends in the enemy gang, is their an escape from a conflict without killing their friends, or being killed by the two biggest criminals ever? In the next one, I thought it would be good to have our characters working with the bad-guys. I drew a few names from the hat, so now Li, Maya and Sutaru are on in one gang with Marrek as their follow gang member, and Sarek, Canathael and Pieter are in another working with Protosis. I'll leave the Outlaw William out of this so's not to spoil this chapter's plot about if we stop him from joing Protosis or not ^_^
demonchild781
Name: Morgon Night Age: 22 Race: Human Timeline: Victorian pirate Special Skills: An amazing leader and extremely strong physically and mentally. There isn't one thing that she hasn't been able to do, but there isn't anything she's extremely talented in. Weapons: Two victorian pistols and a curved sword tied to the belt of her trousers. Special Items: A silver coin with the emblem of her family's house curved onto it hiden under her shirt. Weakness: She's never been in love and has never really known a life other than that of stealing and fighting. She will protect her crew until her own life is at risk and then she will flee, but this has never happened. A sour loser and hating authority cause many conflicts and battles for her. Personality: A strong willed woman with a drive to have fun and be rich. She loves to keep her crew happy, giving them any thing and almost everything they want including women and gold. She's never been with a man or woman for that matter and has never desired for such trivial things. Description: A tall woman around 5' 7" with a very well-muscled body. She was dealt an attractive face with large (but not overbearing) hazle eyes, fine nose and gorgeous lips. Her hair hangs to the middle of her back in soft mouse brown curls. Her body is nearly perfect with well shaped breast and rump with a tight stomach. Her usual grab consists of tight leather trousers, usually brown or black, a white ruffled long-sleeve under shirt with a bright red vest over it, holding her chest up. Her thick black leather boots come to about mid way up her shins. A gun hides in one of her boots, comfortably, while the other and her sword are tied to her belt. Bio: Morgon Night was born to a wealthy nobleman and woman in England during the height of the pirate raids. She was the youngest of a brother and four sisters. She was treated with the same about of greatnesss as her brother and sisters from her family and lived a rather happy life, or at least what she could remember. At the age of five, while her family crossed the straight between England and France, their ship was raided by ruthless pirates. Because she was the youngest, Morgon held no true wealth for the pirates so she was cast aside. Her parents were murdered and her siblings ransomed. She was thrown into the cargo hold to wait out her sentence. This is where she met Red, the man that later would be known to her as father. Red took the young girl in and dressed her in young boys clothes. He told her that she had to be strong now and learn quickly the ways of the pirates. Morgon was lucky for Red was the first mate and had great authority on the ship, but she still had to work to be able to make her keep. She slaved on the deck, helping run the ship and as she grew older was then slave to the men. But she wasn't treated as less, at least not less then the other young men on the ship. She was treated like one of them, nothing more or less. When Red died when she was 13, Morgon had to learn how to shape up quick for now her "Father" was no longer there to protect her against the others on the ship, especially since she was turning into a fairly pretty young girl. Morgon quickly learned how to not only fight, but get others to do it for her. She was now part of the crew, raiding other ships and searching for treasures left behind by other pirates. When on shore she could drink just as heavily as the men. At the age of 15, her ship was found on the southern tip of England, Morgon's captian was making a raid on some of the navel ships there. Morgon and her followers were tired of taking orders from Gorg and decided to make their own raid on one of the lesser ships. They snuck out on one of the row boats and made their way to a large ship and successfully took it over. Gorg was fierous with Morgon, but it was too late. The girl and her followers were gone. At first the crew was bitter towards Morgon. They had got rid of Gorg to replace him with a girl. But Morgon wasn't worried. She took charge and set things straight, but to the point so that every one was happy. The decisions on the ship were every ones, but she had the last say. If she thought something was suscidial or not worth the effort then they didn't do it. Four years of sailing the open seas and taking ships they came across, Morgon and The Velvet Glove decided it was time to venture to land. They needed supplies badly and the boys that were now men, wanted more then just the usual booty. Once on shore, Morgon would send the men to fetch supplies and made sure they stayed away from any areas where they may come across women. When the men would return from the mission, they would be welcomed by glorious food, beer and women. This was what finally won her favor and captain. Life treated Morgon and her ship, The Velvet Glove, graciously for three years, but Morgon new it wasn't going to last. And sadly, she was right. On a foggy May morning The Velvet Glove found themselves under attack. Gorg had found them and had made alliances with the English Navy who had been after her since she was 15. There was no way her crew and her could defend themselves from all those ships. They faught hard and long, but it was no use. Nightly, her closest shipmate, was at her side. When he saw that every one was being killed or captured, he knew that there was no way that Morgon would survive. He told her that she had to make it out alive for she didn't deserve to die here. He threw her over board and was killed afterwards. Morgon swam with all her might to the shore which was far out of sight of the warring ships. Once on land she didn't know what to do, when a man in strange clothing came up to her. He told her of his quest to save the Future, past and present and that he wished for her help. She looked at him for a long while and then back at her ships. There was nothing left for her here, it was all dying in front of her eyes. She stood and told the man that she would join them. Glad to be apart of you guys!
Vicky
Hey guys, Demonchild is going to be our new member of the crew. When the next timeline ends which will be sortly, we do jump straight into the next timeline but before we split up Morgon will follow behind in another portal (by this time Dave will have informed us about the new member). And blah-de-blah so on. I re-pulled the names out of my funny-shaped hat today, so we'll split up into this: Pieter Morgon Sarek Li Canathael Sutaru Maya If anyone has any good suggestions for a good split-up then post them here ^_^
demonchild781
Hey ya'll. How am I doin' so far? I think Angelus_Necare was saying something to me about going back to our own worlds and correcting what went wrong. It sounds good, but I think we should use that to show are characters that things happen for a reason kind of ideal. That whole if "this" and "this" didn't happen then they wouldn't know the amazing people they do now. But I think that should start maybe after another world, some where in between jurassic and 2010 maybe that none of our characters are from. Just a thought.
Vicky
You're doing just brilliant, demonchild! I actually had that thought, too. I might try that kind of thing as well, like when I promised some chapters focusing on one character but with the others being in it as well. I think that might be a good idea, but about the correcting thing, that might not be so good since going back in time and changing something doesn't change the future (since it's already happened it can't be changed, only by the device which we'll see at the end of the RPG). However I was thinking of doing a chapter were we don't travel in time and stay on the ship, and Dave creates a new deck to the ship with "holorooms" were you could type in your life story and set the setting for the computer then walk into a holographic version of it, playing anyone in your character's past just by saying a name to the computer. So using these holorooms (which are exactly like the real thing when you walk in) character's could change their own past in the holostory and see what happens. I kinda got the idea off Star Trek, so I might try a chapter like that. Also, in this post I'll need to tell you all about a two-part Chapter we'll be playing next: Chapter Four: A Time of War ? Part One After a long break, the crew feel like Protosis will never make a jump for it, but when they lease expect it he does. Only this time, it?s different. Dave is shaken up when he finds out were Protosis is jumping too? 2269, eleven years before Scarface dies and ninety years after the war had started. At this time he had taken the war to Earth were he and four other kinds of races on his side fought against only the human ground soldiers and Earth?s only ally willing to fight on Earth and not with technology: The Xions. The stakes are high and this time no one has any idea what Protosis is planning. With no other member of the crew knowing as much about war as Pieter, Pieter is put in command of the group. With the heavy weight of a future war on his shoulders and death all around them, can the crew survive this deadly time of war? Chapter Five: A Time of War - Part Two The Tarkè, Zeator, Southan and the Boulde forces capture Pieter and Canathael while the others are fighting for their lives in a war. They can either rescue their friends or stop Protosis from saving the Russian assassin Pavel. The forces of Earth place Sarek in control of the crew and order him to stop Protosis and not save his friends. Strangely, Sarek disobeys and starts a rescue mission deep into Scarface?s HQ now with both Earth and the enemy forces on his back. If Protosis is not stopped, it could mean another enemy trying to kill the crew in their next jump. Who will die? Pavel, Pieter or Canathael? Or the whole crew? Before doing these, there's some information about the races in these Chapters and the weapons used: Earth Alliance Humans Technologically advanced in some ways, the humans are battling this war on their own planet. Using weapons with super-charged bullets which can move faster than light and kill for sure if the enemy is hit in the right spot, humans have no armour and mostly use old-style tanks with a few weapons modifaction. They have bases all over the place and lots of men, but at this time they are keeping in ranks but attacking all over the place when their team leader is dead. Basically, humans have not changed much. Xions PICTURE As advanced as humans, they are allied with them in the war. The Xions are a strong warrior race who would fight hand to hand if the enemy did. They use the same weapons as the humans but with more brutality and force. Xions are everywhere, but they never kill anyone who is on their side, it seems to be a instict because a Xion has never killed one of his team mates. The Xions work well with humans and are friendly but in the heat of battle they hardly ever talk, they yell. Xions only fight on foot, nothing else. 4 Races: Boulde PICTURE Also said to be like trolls and ogres by humans, the Boulde are the most honourable race out of them all. The refuse to us guns or any other kind of technology, they win by using their blades and their muscle. Though they are the shortest in size between the for races, they have brilliant strength and aren't afraid to jump at someone's face. Being only 4.5 foot in size they like to do that, a lot. Boulde are very quiet and only shout when needed, like the Xions. They have a honourable way of fighting making them a dangerous and weak foe to face. The Boulde have kept their traditions strong therefore they only care for the lives of their race and the other races in their system, and are also extremely loyal to Scarface. Zeator PICTURE The most brutal race in the whole. They don't use any sort of weapons, only their claws and teeth, and also have no armour. Zeator are a wolf-like race who like to fight for the fun of it and have no respect for honour. For this they aren't good friends with the Boulde though the Boulde do risk their lives to save them. Zeator are the second tallest out of the races at a good 6 foot in average. They don't line up and don't wait for the order to attack, they just attack. Zeator are very advanced but they don't use their technology in battle, they believe that having claws and teeth they shouldn't need weapons. Zeator have a very gory personality, as well as a gory style of fighting. Tarkè and Southan PICTURE - In Ancient times. Almost exactly the same, except for their skin colour. The Tarkè have blue skin while the Southan have red skin. The tallest in the four races, growing up to 8 foot they are very powerful and strong. Tarkè and Southan are the only ones who use guns, laser guns and sometimes laser swords. They are heavy armoured and are the builders of all the bases for their races. Scarface is a Southan, therefore the Southan's have the most control over the army but they do share with the Tarkè. The two races see each other as brother races seperated long ago and work better together. Most of the time, Tarkè and Southan are evil and sarcastic, but some are grumpy and rude. They not only fight on foot, but they also send ships to attack from the skies, very sneaky indeed. Back in ancient times, both races were small and not as strong but later grew into amazing height and great strength. Scarface is the biggest Southan to ever live at 7.9 foot, very, very big indeed. Normally they grow to 7 foot. This will take place in England, before Scarface moves his forces over to Scotland. Dave will have already told the forces of Earth about our characters, so it will be easier to play. Basically, the world looks like a wreck in England, will glass buildings smashed all over the place and not much left. The fighting will mainly take place in cites and fields. I'll post more information in a while.
