Vicky
At the end of the RP, characters can stay if they want. If all goes real well this time round, who knows? I might make a "Sands of Time 2", lol. But characters can stay if they want or go back to their timeline. I was thinking of doing a WW2 one soon, and a Medieval one, in fact I'm planning on doing atleast one near to all of our character's timeline. I've got some ideas down on paper so I hope we get to finish the RPG, so far it's going great! Oh, I also decided to add sub-titles to the chapters. For the first three here's what they are: Chapter One Starting in the Past Chapter Two: Cowboys and Guns Chapter Three: Predjudice
naota
I am leaving the otaku boards to go to the polykarbon boards now. So I won't be posting here anymore because I will be drawing up manga pages for the DRAWN out rps over there. So good luck with this rp because I will still be reading your posts :D .
Skye
Name: Erika Nyugen Age: 17 Race: Human Timeline: March 13th 2010 Special Skills: Erika has a particularly good ?sixth sense?. She notices things people tend to write off as impossible or boring. She can see the not-so-obvious outcomes and answers to things, and is particularly good at see what people are saying under their words. She sees what people aren?t saying, and she reads body language better than anybody. Some say she has ESP, but all it is is her heightened senses and the way she pays attention. Erika also is very flexible and her reflexes are lightening fast. I wouldn?t want to meet her in a dark alley. She also uses the traditional ?Aku ryou tai san?, which she uses to banish evil spirits. Weapons: Erika isn?t fond of using weapons, but she will if she has to. In fact, she professes in fans. That?s right, fans. She uses them in formal dance, too, and most of her weapons are small and hidden. Like her hair pins ? the points are sharp and honed. Her fans are razor sharp, and vary in size. Special Items: Erika always carries the small papers with the Japanese symbols that mean the same thing as Aku ryou tai san, and she wears a necklace that has a small bag on it. In the bag is a bracelet made of special beads that she uses to sense unusual powers. Weakness: Erika cannot kill. She can hurt people, but there is no way she can kill. If forced to, she will either kill herself instead, or she will go into deep meditation and become depressed and haunted for weeks. Sometimes she goes as far as to cut herself open to feel the pain, and then wrap the wounds so she heals. She has many scars from this. Personality: Erika is an all around sweet and selfless person. She?s usually quiet, but very smart, and very friendly. She has a short temper, though, and anything about her parents or her friends and you will have a problem on your hands. Around people she doesn?t know, she?s very informative and friendly, but she can become closed and cold in seconds. Description: Erika ? martial artist Bio: Erika Nyugen was born in a small city somewhere in the US 1993. She grew up with no brothers or sisters, but just her mother. Her father had left when she was just 3 so Erika didn?t remember him much. When growing up, Erika developed a certain liking for the sort of ?supernatural? and impossible or un-explained happenings. Since her parents were both Japanese, she also found a liking Martial Arts. Luckily there was a small Martial Arts school just beside her house; so everyday after school she would go there to learn Martial Arts. Though her mother or most of Erika?s friends didn?t know about this so she had to keep it secret, making things harder after school. Martial Arts came in handy later on, anyway. One of Erika?s friends in high school had major bully problems, so for the first time Erika used her Martial Arts to sort out the problems for her friend while defending herself when she became enemies with these bullies. Though that caused Erika?s mother to find out about all the secret training going on. After that Erika?s punishment was that she was to come straight home from school and only be allowed out with friends. So, Erika found something she could do at home. At this time Erika learned to heighten her senses and learnt a great deal about noticing things people wouldn?t. When in school, she also developed a skill were she could see what people were really saying under their words. Many people didn?t believe her, but others thought it was some kind of ESP. In the rest of her high school years, she stopped sticking up for her friends in bully problems and instead listened to them. This became a talent she carried on through most of her life, listening and the sort of ESP talent. Later on in her life, Erika?s mother died of cancer so she decided to go back to Japan for a while. There, Erika learnt a few more things to do with the supernatural, including the Aku ryou tai san which was used to banish evil spirits. In Japan, Erika was also able to carry on her Martial Arts training, and after awhile she became very good, having good reflexes after time. Though she soon discovered she couldn?t kill anyone, it was something in herself that wouldn?t allow her to do it. She found this out one day when she moved back to her home city. A bunch of old enemies from school appeared, spitting insults and mocking her family. Though Erika wanted to kill them, she couldn?t. From then on she had to find different ways to deal with trying to kill people or actually killing them, and she found some ways? some bad, and some good. In 2010 (the time when the gang wars between the Federation and the Barrier Crew got serious) Erika was in the city she was born, trying to avoid the conflicts between the two gangs like many other people. Though it was a known fact to her that some old friends and enemies were involved in both groups, but Erika didn?t want to get too involved. She would if she had to, but even if she did Erika still wouldn?t kill anyone. Thanks sooooo much to Vicky for 1)letting me join and 2) doing the bio for me! >> God knows I have no brain power. -.- Vicky, would you like to introduce her, or should I?
Vicky
You could if you want too, though you'll have to pick a side to join (Federation or Barrier Crew). I'd suggest the Barrier Crew since only a few of the characters are there, Sutaru wondered off somewhere. If you have any problems just ask, the list of people in the Barrier Crew are Marrek the enemy of the crew, Canathael and Maya. Oh, and welcome to the RPG!
Skye
Sorry for taking so long to say anything! Sounds good to me. ^_^ I'll see if I can squeeze her in inconspi- ah, without being ntoiced. ^_^ My spelling sucks. And Thanks for letting me join! *goes off to type* EDIT: GAH! I was going to post, but I'm so lost, and I have no clue how to introduce ehr! >>
Vicky
Don't worry, I'm just about to post. I can leave all the characters from the Federation in one place, though it would be best if you join Angelus and Dourocks's characters. *thinks* They only have two people since Daisuke had to leave, so... *thinks, again*. Here's an idea: If I take a few of the characters with my character into some trees nearby, and we meet your character. After that, your character get's to know a few of the people, and when I post next time (or if Angelus posts this) the two clans can meet up and Sarek will ask Erika to join Canathael and Maya to keep an eye on them. You can just follow my lead for awhile.

Angelus_Necare
Just Responding to what you brought up in the Thread. I'm not sure if the 3-4 of us will make it as far as 25 chapters by ourselves. Perhaps it would be good to put the Rp to rest within the next few chapters. You know, the heros save the day and live happily ever after....But it doesn't have to end there. You could re-open the signups for a part two. Just to get out those other ideas that would have gone into the other chapters. Where we stand now, I think we have too many drop outs and too little interaction. I imagine more people would spruce it up a bit with their own fresh ideas and characters. Hence why I suggested a sequell of sorts. Maybe we should defeat Protosis, but Marrek will get away unnoticed, giving a whole new setup to the second part. All the characters could remain the same, and we could sign up as our orriginal characters or retire them for new ones. From there any story could form...Like Marrek tracking down each Sands member after they return to their time trying to kill them, or maybe Marrek carrying on with his own devious plans to rule time... This is all just from my point of veiw, maybe some of the others wouldn't agree. But I'm sure the input is apreciated.
duorocks17
I sort of agree. It's sort of become a three person RPG. At one time there, we even developed our own order for posting, hehe. Maybe if we opened up the sign ups again, to get some more people involved, we might be able to make it that far. Well, you know, we could make it there with just the three of us too, though it might take awhile. ^_^. I don't know about everyone else, but I really like the story so far. I think it's come along really well. I hope this is what you where looking for when you planed it. :) I'm up for anything you decide.
Skye
WHat they said. Mostly because I'm having a hard time getting my character to interact, but also for their reasons. ^_^ (Oh, and thank you, Morgon's player! APologies for forgetting your name, but thanks fo rincluding me!)
Vicky
Yeah it'd take awhile to get there with just five of us (including myself)... is it five? Yeah, Rhain, Demonchild, Angelus, myself and Duo, I kinda lost count for awhile... too many characters with no one to play them... like Pieter... Right then! Do you think we can make it to Chapter 10? That would be a great resting point for the first part *smirks* I don't intend for this RPG to have one part, I'm getting a little excited since this is my longest ever running RPG. When it becomes famous you'll all have your names on paper and down in history!... I apologise for that... anyway, I have a great idea for the end Chapter of the first part: Protosis is always on the attack and the crew on the defending side, therefore the crew decides to hit Protosis hard. Since Protosis had somewhat betrayed them a lot (...you'll have to play the current Chapter to find out :p) a few characters make up a story for Protosis and pretend (...would that be a good word?) to be joining him. Blah-de-blah, Protosis goes along and the rest of the crew finally disable his ability to timetravel. When the whole thing is over a few characters decide to go home (i.e: Pieter and Sutaru) thinking it's all over but are soon proven wrong in the next part of the epic tale! Which by then the sign-up's will be reopened. This was the original idea for the 15th Chapter: My Enemy My Ally. I guess we'll stop at Chapter 20 in the second part of the story, if we get there. So you reckon you can get to Chapter 10? Just to make you all want to post on to get to some good Chatpers coming up I'll add mini teasers of the Chapters to come: Chapter 5: The Exiled Knights Protosis is mistaken for a Prophecy by a group of Medieval warriors, the powerful Exiled Knights. Chapter 6: Measure of Man In the time of the robot revolutions the crew find out about the robots who were later destroyed in history, robots with emotions, with passion and the eyes of God's. Chapter 7: When in Rome The crew are forced to fight as Roman Slaves when Protosis takes over Rome. Chapter 8: Ancient Blood The crew travel back 500 years before Sarek to stop Protosis from destroying the world before it is meant to be. Chapter 9: Devil's Eye Marrek reuses and old technique that could lead to the death of all the crew on their own ship. Chapter 10: A False Goodbye The crew devise a deadly plan to rid Protosis from the Universe once and for all... leading to the end of their adventures. ...Haha!
Angelus_Necare
It all sounds Good Vicky! I'm glad that we might become famous for these bits and peices of writting too. I talked with my roomie, Demonchild, about what's going on, and we both agree that this RPG is moving in the right dirrection. Chapter Ten doesn't seem that hard to accomplish either as far as I see. We may get to twenty pages or more by the end of the first part, and who knows, the second may run farther. The reason I push so hard for this RPG is because all the time I spent here at the OB, I've only finished one game. Just one! I see Sands having great potential standing alone, it's up to us to make it one of the proud few that become finished! Now that I'm done with that, I'd like to discuss the upcoming chapters ahead... I assume we'll be going from Li's burrial right to chapter five? And that this will be Canathael's timeline? Just a few things that I can mull over once answered, thanks for your time Vicky, and I hope that we all do our best to finish out this RPG.

I should thank all you's for joininig to RPG, it could never have got this far with all the brilliant members in it! *Writes down Angelus, Duo, DuoMax, Inari, Daisuke, Rhian and Demonchild into her "specail thanks" peice of paper*
duorocks17
We have the man power.....we have the will power....we can do it!!! hehe, it sounds like an add for a car commerical. hehe, I like the idea of being famous. ;) I just wanted to say that the ideas for the next chapters look promising, I can't wait to go mid-evil. Also, I'm not going to give up on this RP. I'll be here till the end! I haven't ever finished one either, and this one definately has potential, as we've already found out. I think this is also the longest one I've been in. Go us! Well, i better go study for finals!
