I'm bored as hell so I am going to respond to this thread...

I will be using the following format

Event or Person/Song(artist)- Reason

The Time my friend Tiff and I ran around a Chicago Freeway, trying to gather up another friend's cash/Life is a Highway (Tom Petty)- The whole Highway theme of the song and living large and all of that just reminds me of that fun, and perilous, day on a Chicago freeway, dodging cars to pick up errant 20$ bills.

Amanda J./Pressing On(Relient K)- A.J. was a most amazing young woman, and we shared some very...personal moments together. But the most touching time we ever had in our very brief time of knowing one another, was the Christian praise concert we were at at BNYC. Now, Pressing On wasn't one of the songs played, but it just reminds me of her, and it was one of her fav. songs too, so I guess its association.

Phil K./Fireproof(Pillar)- Phil is among my best friends, and this song, one of his favs., just reminds me of him. And volleyball. And the tournament we won but then lost....imperceptive refs...

Westmont Hilltoppers events/ Yeah!(Usher)- My friend Tiff, one of my best friends in all the world, goes to a different school than I do. But thats OK cause I was like screw my school, I'm rooting for Westy. SO we go to all the various sporting events and hang out with all of my Westy friends... the reason Yeah! Reminds me of Westy is because, although all of us are white/asian, a lot of hip-hop is played. This is not only one of three hip-hop songs I can stand to listen to, it reminds me of the flow, the conversation at Westy games.

Jake O.; Jesse S.; Adam S.; Adam R; Zach R.; Bryce T./ Back In Black(ACDC)- These are my sports buddies, and we play sports like the Oakland Raiders, baby! The comraderie, intesity, and sheer determination we all share for victory not only makes us a formidable team, but leads into way Back In Black reminds me of 'being in the game'. Back In Black is a pump up song, and it just makes me want to tackle someone to hell or dunk in their face (Only one more effing inch baby!)

Myself/ Long Distance Winner(Buckingham/Nicks)- Don't take this as arrogance, but the man Nicks describes in this song reminds me of myself... Some people view me as 'too hot to touch' (don't take that the wrong way...), and I have tried to give people heaven to erase their hell....

Elle or Laura/ Piano Man(Billy Joel)- These girls have never even heard of each other and are extremely different in tons of ways. But, in one sense they remind me of each other: a sort of mysterious melancholy. Piano Man gives me that feel, and everytime I hear that song, two faces and two sets of memories haunt me.

Tiff H./Won't Back Down(Tom Petty)- Tiff is a fighter. She is determined no matter what. You could knock her down ten thousand times, and ten thousand times she would get back up. Little scares her and she is one hell of a Shanghai woman. That said she also has a softer side, and that balance has made her not only my best non-romantic female friend, a genuinely enjoyable person to be around.

Girl I love/All I Know (Art Garfunkle)- This song is amazing... simple, effective lyrics backed by excellent piano. It makes me think of this specific girl, and its easy (if you've heard it) to know why.
