I've decided to end this Chapter soon, so after a few more posts it will. Basically now, we have this mini war and in my next post the mini war will stop and something else will happen, thus moving the RPG on it. So in roughly 5 or 7 post this timeline will end. But for now, you can just post the mini battle and to make it more interesting for us and our characters we might have to attack each other.

As the group walked the first gun shots were heard, followed by a screaming of swearing and the sound of more people being shot and cries of pain. Pieter, Sarek, Li, Morgon and Erika all looked at each other before jolting off through the woods and back to the lake. Sarek ran as fast as he could, hoping that Maya and Canathael weren't near the battle. When he and the others appeared out of the trees, they saw people with all white and hacking at the hooded Federation members while they fought back, both of the gangs pushing across the river and throwing each other downstream.

"We must not let Canathael and Maya be hurt!" Pieter said, backing up towards the others.

"I have to agree, I have a feeling they'll be in that other group. I don't want to risk us being exposed so someone can come with me to see if Canathael and Maya are around." Sarek said. He looked at people in the group, and picked Erika at random. "You, Erika was it? Come with me, quickly." Sarek said, indicating her to follow him. He sped off through the crowds of fights, only to notice Protosis near the edge of the lake, throwing people in. That man was sick, just killing people for no reason at all...

"Hey! You, help me out 'ere!" A new voice said. Both Erika and Sarek turned to see Roxanne, second in command of the Federation, struggling to fend off some white clothed people with her sword. Erika watched Roxanne, while Sarek caught the figures of Maya and Canathael. Yes, his eyes couldn't be fooled at this time, it was Maya and Canathael! "Hey! Help me!" Roxanne shouted again. Erika moved to help her, but Sarek grabbed her arm.

"No, later! I've spotted them!" He shouted, dragging her away from a battling Roxanne. Once again he pushed himself through the fighting crowds, knocking away a few people as he did and sometimes throwing them on the floor. When he saw the figures of Canathael and Maya across the lake, he sprung forward quickly with Erika following behind him.

"Wait, who are Maya and Canathael?" Erika shouted from behind. Sarek glanced back, and then forward again.

"Remember when I spoke of our crew? They are two members of our crew. They come before any of them scum." Sarek explained. He came to a halt at the edge of the lake, and yelled out Canathael's and Maya's names.

"Sarek!" Maya shouted back over. A random Barrier Crew member tried to tackle Sarek, but he picked him off the ground a little by his shoulders and tossed him into the freezing lake.

"Don't fight in this war! All our lives come before these scumbags, have you seen Su-"

"Scumbags?" A voice hissed from behind. Sarek and Erika quickly spun around, seeing Roxanne stood there with her sword pointed threateningly at Sarek's chest. "You traitor..." she said, spitting out blood onto the floor. Her face was full of cuts and scratches, some possibly bite marks. "You're dead." She added, pushing the blade closer to Sarek's chest. He could literally feel the cool blade tip on his chest and feared she would kill him any moment, but she didn't.

Erika saved Sarek by kicking the sword out of Roxanne's hand making it fell at her feet. At this moment, Sarek went in for a tackle, but instead Roxanne tackled him first. With Roxanne pushing Sarek and Sarek pushing her at the edge of the lake, they both began to lose their balance and in moments, Sarek and Roxanne went crashing into the lake.

Morgon was trapped amongst the warring gangs, Pieter, Li, Sarek and the new girl, Erika were gone. She couldn't see them any where. After facing a few of the Barrier crew and leaving them pretty much crippled, Morgon found it wiser for her to use the guns that were held tightly in their holsters. She pulled just one out with her left hand, keeping a firm grip on her sword as she made her way through the crowd looking for the others.

Sarek had taken Erika to find Cael and Maya, which meant he was some where near the river. The others, Pieter and Li, she had no idea where they could have gone. Morgon pushed her way through the crowd, trying desperately not to injure any one that was not attacking her.

"HEY! Where do you think you're going?" Some one yelled from behind her.

Morgon ducked just in time to miss a club like weapon. She thrust one foot foward and caught the kid square in his gut. She wasn't sure if he was Barrier or Federation and quite personally she didn't care. This whole war was pointless.

Morgon took up her search for Sarek again, her boats making quite a bit of noise as she squeeked across the grass. As Morgon neared the shore she took in Sarek's blurred sight as he plunged into the cold water once more.

"Crazy ass bastard." Morgon mumbled to herself as she blocked another attempt at her life. She threw her gun and sword into their sheaths as she won her life with her fist. Morgon turned around just in time to see Erika drive into the fridged water after Sarek and what appeared to be Roxanne.

Morgon raced to the shore and stared into the water, frantically looking for some sign of any of them. "Now what be I to do?"

Maya squeezed Canathael's hand tightly as she watched, open eyed, as Sarek was pulled into the water by a member of the opposing gang.

"Sarek!!!" Maya yelled as she ran to the water's edge, and searched the top of the water for signs of life, watching the river roll swiftly by. In Maya's mind, reality began to crumble, as a flash of the scene in which her brother was washed away from her in the water. The water had washed Miguel out of her life, now it dared to tempt fate, and claim the life of one of her friends. Tears started to roll down Maya's face as she clintched them tightly at her side. "I won't....I won't let the water win!" Maya yelled to herself as she brought herself back to reality, and began running down the bank of the river, screaming Sarek's name. "Sarek!! Sarek!!! Where are you??" Maya yelled as she tried to keep up with what she thought was the river's current, tears flying off her checks.

Two bodies popped up from underneath the raging current, one Maya easily recognized as her fellow traveler, the other, Maya saw was the girl that pushed him in. A couple of yards away, another girl came up to the surface, gasping for air, trying desperatly to catch up to the other two.

"Sarek!!" Maya called out as she watched him struggle against the current, and the girl that was clinging to him. I have to do something, Maya thought as she pulled out the gun she was given. I won't lose him to the water too!

"Sarek!" Maya yelled as she pulled the gun in front of her, and took aim at the girl, moving the gun in order to keep pace with the water, aiming slightly ahead of them. Sarek nodded, as Maya counted to five, moving the gun five spaces ahead by her calculations, and fired.

The hand of Roxanne squeezed tighter at Sarek's throat but to no prevail. It was only a matter of time until they would both sink under again and Roxanne would drown, but Sarek would live. As the waves pushed him further down stream, he turned his head towards Maya running along side the river. He nodded when seeing her gun aimed and hoped she could hit Roxanne in the fast flowing river, but he had faith.

But he didn't know that Roxanne had noticed Maya, too. Before Maya fired, Roxanne suddenly pulled Sarek in front of her for protection and it was too late for Maya to stop her finger from pulling the trigger. The bullet already his Sarek in the place were his heart shoulder be. If Sarek didn't have the last layer of his thin armour on under the shirt it would have killed Roxanne as well, but it didn't. She let go of Sarek letting him drift well ahead of her, then began to fight the current to get back to the riverbank.

But Sarek wasn't dead. Thank God he was from the future... After a few billions years the internal organs did shift places, so Sarek's heart was located just above his ribcage on the other side, but a bullet to the chest was hard on him anyway. He tried his best to swim against the current but just couldn't push himself any further. Quickly, he managed to reach out at the riverbank and clawed to find anything to grab onto, the grass, mud even. But he couldn't find anything, until a hand grippped his and pulled his head out of the water. Sarek glanced up seeing what he thought was the figure of Maya. He then looked down at Erika, swimming down the river quickly because of the pull of the current. Reaching out, Sarek managed to catch her hand as well. Maya then began to pull Sarek up, trying hard not the fall in herself on the slippy mud. When Sarek was half way up, he let go of Maya's hand and used it to drag Erika up beside him, then sat with his legs dangling over the river bank, panting heavily and holding his wound.

"Sarek! I thought you were dead! How did you-?" Maya asked kneeling down near the too.

"Do you really... think after a few... billion years the human... body would stay the same?" Sarek panted. "Nice shot.... but you missed her." He added. Maya smiled at him, and then Sarek noticed she was crying, but didn't want to ask why. "How about you, kid? You... okay?" Sarek muttered.

"I think so," replied Erika. Sarek gave a nod, then lay back on the grass. That was the last time he went swimming in a lake fighting a mad girl... the very last.

"You shouldn't waste time here, go back and see if the others are okay. Leave me here... I'll be fine." Sarek said. Maya shook her head and grabbed his arm, dragging him to his feet. "Oh for God's sake... do you really think I can make it all the way back... down there? I'll faint." Sarek growled trying to get his arm loose but in his weakened condition he was no match for someone like Maya.

"Then I'll drag you." She said pulling his arm over her neck. Sarek sighed heavily, then looked down at Erika.

"Are you coming?" He asked. She nodded back, and got up walking beside them.

The next time I ever go time travelling I think I'll avoid any water, I'll avoid all these 'guns', keep away from the mad kids in gang wars, keep away from the cities and keep away from the... forget it, I think after this whole ordeal I'll avoid timetravel. He thought to himself keeping his head down. Suddenly, Maya and Erika stopped, and Sarek looked up at them both.

"Why'd you stop?" He asked weakly. Looking up, he saw that wicked witch, Roxanne, drenched and yelling out towards the gangs pointing at Maya, Erika and himself. But that didn't stun him, it was something else. Both gangs had stopped the fighting and were advanced their way. Though Sarek couldn't make out the exact words of Roxanne, he could hear one word:

"Traitors!"

OOC: So sorry for the lateness! My internet went down!

IC: Erika backed up, gold eyes narrowed. She hated this. This is what I get for stopping someone killing someone; a massacre. She straightened, her muscles still ready to spring into action. Then the raven-haired fighter raised her voice. ?Traitors? You call us traitors??

The advance stopped slightly. They had expected fighting back, not a lecture. Erika launched into a string of nonsense, but things that would keep them distracted. Sarek hissed, ?What are you doing?!? Erika didn?t stop, but let her eyes dart to an opening. She stopped suddenly, and launched forward, fans whirling.

?Go!?

She sliced at a couple people, and then ran after Sarek and Maya. The trio ran along the edge of the lake, and Erika said as the mob gained, ?Guys! I can?t kill!? Sarek had protested to running, but common sense overrode it. Three to God knows how many was suicide. The girl flung a razor-sharp fan backwards over her shoulder, and it thunked solidly into someone?s shoulder. She clenched her eyes, and let out a small cry.

Erika sprinted out in front of Sarek and Maya. She was nearly insane from killing that one person. Calm down, Ri-chan?

Roxanne cursed as she watched the trio dissapear into a mass of bodies. Without any hesitation she began to persue, slashing bodies out of the way as she surged forward, black and white clad both. One particularlly tall Barrier member jumped into her path and shoved her roughly off course.

"I'm sorry my lady" came a crisp english accent through the commotion, along with a smirk that was a little less than wicked, "You cannot go any furthur."

Roxanne stared into the chaotic eyes of Canathael. His once pristine white robe now blossomed with blood, some belonging to him, the rest was a mystery. He grinned again, advancing on the shorter woman who took a step back, raising her sword defensively. Canathael answered by raising his gun, taking a most deadly aim on the woman.

"Stand aside Barrier scum, or I'll slice you from neck to navel." She hissed, making her warning clear. Canathael merely chuckled

"Run away little child, your blade has no buisness with my kin." He growled at her defensively.

"Another traitor..." Roxanne mummbled angrily, "You make me sick!"

With a mightly cry she lunged forward, blade aimed for Canathael's lower torso. Fortunately the sorcerer was quicker, ducking away and behind the young warrior. With a strong downward motion, he hit Roxanne with the butt of his gun where her skull and neck met. It wouldn't Kill her, but she wouldn't be getting up for a while either.

Without a backwards glance he left the young warrior face down in the mud while he began to search for his allies.

Maya ran quietly behind the girl with the fans in front of her, who looked not much older then herself, keeping a strong grip on Sarek's arm. "We've got to find the others," Maya said to Sarek. "Li can heal your wounds, and plus, if we're all together, we can get the hell out of this situation, and time period."

"I know," Sarek replied. "Li, Pieter and Morgon where with me in the other group. So they're either on the other side of the river, or have somehow made it across."

"What about this girl? Can we trust her?" Maya asked quietly, not really sure what to think of Erika.

"Yes, I think we can," Sarek said as Maya almost collided into Erika as she stopped, raising her arm in order to throw one of her fans.

"No! Wait!" Maya yelled, as she recognized a person in the oncoming group. Through the blood stained clothes, and semi-wierd look on his face, Maya was certain she could recognize Canathael anywhere. "Canathael!!" Maya called out as she dragged Sarek toward him, Erika following behind.

"Lady Maya, are you alright?" Canathael asked as he met the group halfway.

Maya nodded. "I'm fine, but I'm afraid Sarek isn't. We need to get out of this mess, and time, and do it now! I told you this whole gang thing was a bad idea!"

Canathael nodded as he took Sarek off of Maya's shoulders and supported him. "Let's find the others," Canathael started. "Then you can tell me how right you where." He said with a smile.

"I think I see them!" Erika called as she looked into a group of gang members from both groups.

"Pieter! Li!" Maya called as she headed to where Erika thought they where, wanting to get the hell out of there.

lol, well I guess this won't end in a few post, but it will end shortly anyway. Also, sorry if this seems a bit rushed because it is. I also thought I'd start from Protosis and Marrek's positions to make it easier.

Marrek loaded his gun with a mischievous grin on his face, smirking over to Sutaru and Protosis. It was only matter of time until Sutaru came back to his friends, and Protosis and Marrek were there to catch him.

"I still don't believe you about those lot." Paul said from behind, sulking against the tree next to Gavin of the Barrier Crew. Protosis looked at Paul with a considerable smile on his face holding Sutaru's hands behind his back hard, and laughed.

"Ah... you should. How else could they be so strong? How else could they be so different? Besides, we get what we want and you get what you want. I know at first you'll disagree, but what I give you can change the future for you all. You know, both your brothers were the smartest minds in this dull city, and they had the strongest control over clans. If you would have joined forces long ago the city could have been yours. Anyway, enough of my rambling." Protosis explained. He lost his smirk, then sighed at the two leaders. "You want to be powerful around, here or not? You'll do as I say, alright?"

"...Alrigh'." Gavin agreed. Marrek smiled an evil smirk at them both and set off back towards the lake.

--

Li and Pieter came up to the others, panting a little and looking around.

"There aren't many of them around." Pieter said, looking around and shielding his eyes.

"It doesn't matter, we need to get out of here soon. Li, couold you heal Sarek when we get back to the ship?" Maya said, Sarek looked up at Li clutching his wound tightly, blood still dripping down his hands.

"We might not get back... we don't know if the communicators are working yet, or if the portal is." Sarek muttered weakly. He diverted his eyes to Erika, and smirked under his mask. "Been nice knowing you for awhile kid, thanks for your help. It's unlikely that we'll meet again, just don't stay anything about our time travelling and adventures." He added with a weak mutter at the end.

"Your adventure ends here, Sarek." A familiar voice suddenly cut in, and in a sudden rustle of the trees and leaves behind them, four men with guns and one holding Sutaru hostage jumped out. The group turned to recongize it was Marrek, Protosis, Paul and Gavin. Suddenly, a few more members came racing up from behind with weapons in their hands, and others leapt out from various places.

"...ah bastard..." Sarek muttered, removing his arm from Maya's shoulder and trying to move forward to Sutaru but his first steps made him slip on the floor weakly.

"Great." Muttered Erika. Protosis looked at them for a moment, then laughed at them. As Sarek got up Pieter and Li helped him, but that didn't stop Sarek from trying to lung at Protosis once again, but he was too weak to fight Li and Pieter.

"What do you want from us?" Canathael asked quietly. Paul stepped forward and smirked.

"We know who you are, and here's the basic deal: We pick a champion, anyone in this park, and then you pick a champion. No guns, just blades. If our champion wins, you die and your friend does. If you win, we let your friend go and you can go home." Paul explained, grinning. "And Protosis and Marrek kindly made a deal with us. We'll be the most powerful in the city when both Barrier Crew and Federation join forces. Now, who will be your champion?"

"I will." Erika said, stepping forward.

"No, ye shouldn't be involved!" Morgon said, pushing Erika back behind her. "I'll be fightin' whoever ye pick!" She said. Canathael and Maya looked at each other unsure, then Morgon explained. "I got me a weapon 'ere, I can figh' whoever they pick. Sarek ain't in many condition to fight and neither are the rest of ye. Now, who I be fightin'?"

Paul smiled at her. "You do know this is too the death?" He asked her. Morgon gave a nod, and readied herself. "Fine. I said anyone in this park and pick... Li." Silence befell upon the group of gang members and timetravellers, then all eyes turned to Qang Li.

"Eh?" Morgon turned to Protisis with a very bewildered look. "Ye can't do that!" Morgon shouted at him.

"I can pick whom ever I want and I chose Li." Protisis said with a great smirk.

Morgon turned to the crew. What was she going to do? She shrugged her shoulder as Li walked towards her, taking in Morgon's sight with a very upset gaze. The pirate smiled whole-heartly, knowing there was no way out of this and she wasn't about to let Li kill her. The gang began to circle around them, creating a circle--a pit almost. Li pulled her beautiful sword from its sheath and took a stance of some sort. Morgon, with a smile still on her face, pulled her gun and holsters from her body and threw them into the crowd. Morgon then pulled her sword from its shealth, taking her own form of a fighting stance.

"Don't be holdin' back ye here?" Morgon said cheerfully. Though Morgon sounded like she was having fun, this was the worse situation she had been in since the attack on her ship. She didn't want to kill this girl and cause the crew to hate her, but she wasn't going to allow her own life to be taken either.

Li lunged at Morgon, just barely missing her left shoulder. The pirate made no offense move as she side-stepped to avoid the attack. Li swirled around and caught Morgon's ankle lightly with the tip of her sword. Morgon jumped back and held back the erge to grab her ankle as Li came for another attack. Morgon was able to block it succesfully and move out of the way. Li swirled around again and paused for a moment.

Morgon wasn't sure what was running through Li's mind, or her feelings, but she wasn't going to allow Morgon to beat her easily. Morgon tried to keep up her smile, for this game of cat and mice was amusing, but the thought of actually having to kill Li wasn't at all what she wanted.

Li rushed forward again, her sword held at her side ready to make a swipping cut upwards. Morgon was ready for it, she had watched Li's moves while Morgon was on defensive mode. Li would come up with the swipping move, and twirl around for another attack, leaving her back completely open. That was when Morgon was going to attack, she had no other choice. She was not going to allow herself to die after Night had tried so hard to keep her alive.

Li did just what Morgon thought she would. An upper swing that missed its target. Li twirled around and Morgon brought her sword back and sunk her curved blade into Li's side. The girl cried out as she dropped to her knees as Morgon slid her sword from her body. Li dropped her sword and nearly crumbled to the groung. That's when Morgon noticed the yelling and screaming of the crowd. She turned to see the crowd holding back the other crew members, but their words were lost. Morgon took a step back.

"Finish her!" some one shouted.
"FINISH HER...FINISH HER!" they started to chant, Protisis and Marek watching with bright smirks on their face. Morgon held up her blade, Li's red blood spilling from the silver surface. She looked at Li, tears running down her face, blood pouring from her body. Morgon could see the other crew members trying to rush at them. Morgon have a half smile and shook her head. She dropped her sword and dropped her head.

"I can't..."

OOC: hope that was ok

Here be the end of the Chapter

A silent moment fell over the groups, the cheerings stopping and even the smirks fading from both Marrek's and Protosis' faces. Everyone had their eyes on Li and Morgon, some in the back trying to peer over. Suddenly, the rest of the sands crew pushed through the crowds and hooded and white people, getting into the centre of the person ring. Sarek was walking again, and feeling much better (adaption skill).

"Li..." Sarek said, kneeling down beside her. He looked up at Morgon stood beside, tears streaming down her eyes and her head facing the ground.

"Out of the way, move it!" A voice shouted. The rest of the group turned their head to see Sutaru, pushing away the people and knocking some over to get to Li. It was one of the first times Sarek saw him worried, and Sutaru had every right to be worried. Kneeling down with the rest of the crew, Sutaru sighed, like an angry growl.

"You stupid idiots! Look at this now! Look at everything around you, is it all really worth it?" Erika spoke the words Sarek was going to say, looking around at the stunned faces of the crowd. "You play with swords and weapons, using them for your own personal war! It does nothing, it get's you no where, it just get's people killed! Your own people, your family, your friends and now someone who's not even involved in your war!"

"She may not be dead! Sir Dave knows much, he may be able to help her!" Canathael argued calmly, or though it seemed. Everyone of the crew knew Li was hurt, but they also knew she wouldn't die. Quickly, Canathael, Maya and Sutaru helped Li to her feet, supporting her as much as possible. "If only we could contact him..." Canathael sighed heavily.

"I hope you lot burn in hell." Sarek broke away from the group, coming up to both Paul and Gavin, staring them right in the eye. "To quote Pieter, you know nothing of war. Next time you decide to pick two friends to fight to the death I hope it's not at your convieince like it wasn't at ours!" Sarek suddenly grabbed Paul by the scruff of his neck and almost lifted him off the ground, moving closer to his face. Suddenly, he heard a laugh coming from the crowd, a laugh he knew, Marrek.

"Shut it!" Protosis had stopped Marrek's laughing by thacking him over the head with the back of his hand. Protosis actually looked a little worried as well, though he couldn't... could he?

"Since when did you start caring?" Pieter snapped from the group in the middle, advancing towards Sarek's position, followed by Morgon. They all watched as Protosis gave a sigh, and lowered his head.

"They learnt their lesson." He replied bluntly.

"You're the evil bastard who brought us here! You don't care!" Maya shouted over. Protosis lowered his head, shaking it.

"No, I do. I'm not the totally evil goon you make me out to be. I'm a 8 year old trouble maker boy compared to Marrek, you just don't understand by reasons. As a sign of good faith, which I won't show you again, I'll let you know your communicators are working. You can return home now, as we will." Protosis muttered his words, then looked over at Marrek evilly. Sarek took out his communicator, and spoke into hoping Dave would answer.

"You there?" He asked.

"Sure am. I need to get you out of there quick, standby. I'll make a portal somewhere near your position."The reassuring voice of Dave came through clearly, giving the group hope. Sarek then turned to Erika.

"I must thank you for all your help. We have to leave now, and don't tell anyone about our time travelling. And if you have to, then stay alive kid." Sarek said to Erika. "Too bad you can't join us."

"Why not?" She asked him. Sarek gave a shrug.

"No point. You belong here." He said in a plain reply. "I won't let you come anyway, you're staying here. Don't tell anyone, it could fuck up time if Protosis gets his way." Sarek looked at Protosis this instance, glaring. "You'd make a good addition to the team, kid. But that won't happen."

"Can I atleast see your ship?" Erika asked. Sarek shook his head. "Please? I did help you."

"Well I couldn't hurt, Sarek. We could bring her back anyway." Maya said.

"Fine, but I don't get in no trouble." Sarek replied in a grumble, giving it a lot of thought before he spoke. Once again, he diverted his eyes to Protosis. "Until next time..." He said, with a slight nod. With the knowledge that Li would most likely survive, Sarek was feeling quite... happy.

"Until next time..." Marrek said in reply. The two pushed their way out of the groups, making the circle open and the people back away. Everyone stared at Protosis activated a small panel out of his coat, then smiled over at them. Suddenly, a blue portal broke through the trees beside Sutaru, Canathael, Maya and Li, making the winds grow bigger and a swirl of blue colours appear almost like it was painted onto the trees.

"That's be ours... I think." Morgon said, still a little glum. Sarek gave a nod, then walked over to Li who was held up by Maya, Canathael and Sutaru.

"I'll take her, you should all go ahead." Sarek said. Maya opened her mouth to protest, but Sarek stopped her. He wrapped Li's arm around his neck, then waited until the group assembled near the portal. Eyes from the gangs started at the group in shock, but Sarek and the others took no notice. Suddenly, a second portal beside Protosis appeared, making the winds stronger. Instantly, Protosis walked through leaving Marrek smirking behind.

As the sands crew was about to go through, Marrek stopped them. "Oh," he started, half way through the portal. He raised his gun slowly, but not up to aiming point yet. "This is for the you, young warrior." He said. Suddenly, his gun shot up and fired a bullet, at first everyone thought it was for Erika because she was young, but to the crew's shock the noticed it had hit Li in her chest, hard. Before Sarek or anyone else could react, Marrek was making his way back through the portal.

As Li fall back dropping her arm from Sarek's neck, Sutaru caught her, while Sarek lunged forward for Marrek's portal. Quickly, Erika, Maya, Canathael and Pieter gripped his arms and neck pulling him backwards before he killed himself trying to escape, wanting to save Li's life by getting through the portal quickly. Still struggling with Sarek, they all managed to get through it.

-----

In the white and grey medical bay, the crew stood around Sutaru who still had Li in his arms, watching as he carefully placed her on the white bed. Dave was looking over, as well, not able to do anything about the wounds. Blood was all over Li's clothing, but even Canathael knew nothing could be done now.

"Sorry... I'm really sorry... She could have survived-" Dave began searching for words frantically, but Morgon interrupted.

"If I hadn't wounded her so badly." She said tearfully. Dave opened his mouth to reassure the girl, but closed it again. He shook his head, then turned his back, going to sit in a small grey chair, back faced to the crew. Even though Sarek was staring down at the body of Li and the blood on the white sheets of the table, he knew that the people in the group were upset. Maybe he was himself, but he didn't know, the emotion was something he hadn't felt in years since his pet died when he was a boy... Was it remorse? No, he never felt that... But it was something. Something horrible which made his stomach feel like he could eat a mountain of meat but he wasn't hungry.

He turned away as well, waltzing away from the group and standing with his head against a white wall in a corner with his arms crossed and trying to figure out why Li's death was different to his pets. He had known his pet for longer and had a special bond with it, but Li... Maybe she was human. Or maybe because he admired her, she was a warrior, like him. She was unlike the others, the others were unlike each other as well. But Li had actually made Sarek not want to kill another man again when he stared up at the tunnel opening. She was one of the ones who made him, Sarek Luther, a cold rock change.

He looked up a little, seeing Erika stood by the door, looking pitfully at the group. She was dragged into this now, she had come aboard to take a look, and now she was watching the group left to tears. All except Sarek, who knew she was watching and was determine not the let himself come to tears. But even though he tired hard, pushing back something that should have been easy, he couldn't. The feeling in his chest got stronger and more annoying, as he dropped to his knees, covering his head with his arms still on the wall and cried silently, letting a tear drop on the floor... which hadn't happened for over 100 years.

Wow, that's one hell of a long post Vicky!

Canathael sighed weakly as he watched Sarek from the other side of the room. He too, like the icy warrior, was feeling the unavoidable gloom that had settled itself on the crew. His heart was heavy as he looked at Li's lifeless figure, laying perfectly still, much like his master did. Or even like the way he found Elsia...

The sorcerer suddenly felt quite sick, and wasn't sure if he'd be able to hold back the wave of bile that was quickly beginning to rise in his throat. In a flash he fled the room, both hands securely clamped over his mouth as he swayingly made his way to a nearby toilet.

Once he had exhumed what his body refused to keep down, the wave of sickness seemed to roll past him, leaving him feeling a bit better. That didn't mean that his firm grip on the porcelian bowl in front of him would loosen. Although his stomach was empty, he still gagged and heaved each time his thoughts wandered back to what was occuring. Li was dead, she wasn't comming back, and it seemed like none of them could have done anything to stop it. It was all Marrek's fault. The man he had put the slightest bit of trust in, because there were few others he could rely on at the time. The very man whos touch and stare gave Canathael the chills, cold sweat, and a very uncomfortable sinking in the pit of his stomach. The very thought made him want to vomit again, but he felt that there was very little left inside of him, if anything at all.

Then there was the dark haired girl from the Federation crew. Another poor soul that was faced by his darker side. Something that he was begining to fear and loathe at the same time. He didn't know what it was, and he frankly didn't want to dwell on it anymore than he already had. As long as it doesn't appear around any of his allies, he'd be safe...

Canathael wiped his slick forhead hastily, then mopped around his mouth a bit. All he wanted right now was to rest, to give himself time and the energy to properly handle these emotions and happenings. It seemed all a bit too much to handle at the moment, and the last thing he needed was to be uncollected in front of someone.

knock. knock. knock.

He started baddly at the knocking, even if it was soft against the metalic door. Whoever stood outside couldn't enter while he was occupying the bathroom, unless he gave the comand to let them in. He didn't answer to the knocks, yet let a few snuffles echo through the small space he croutched in, obviously heard from the other side.

knock. knock. knock

The outsider still persisted it seemed. Canathael wondered idly if Maya had followed him out, she would be one to worry it seemed, and he did dissapear quiet suddenlly. Although the comfort of a companion would be well needed right now, he didn't really want to face anyone at all. Yet the constant knocking wasn't letting up, and wasn't going to give him a moments peace.

Canathael lazily reached behind him to hit the mechanized button that opperated the door, then hung his head nearly into the toiled as he began to heave again. His body dryly trying to get rid of what wasn't even there. Without turning to the door he spoke into the bowl, making his voice oddly hollow.

"Lady Maya..." He assumed it was her standing there, "I feel a bit Ill, please, just leave me be..."

But he received no answer. Just felt a body settle next to him, a surprisingly cold entity. Canathael lifted his head slowly, meeting the forlorn stare of Sarek.

The Icy warrior sat crosslegged mere inches from the sorcerer, watching him with a lost expression splayed across his face. His street clothes were still damp from his escapades in the river, but streaks of what looked like tears down Sarek's face could not have merely been water. He must have followed Canathael after he left, and probably went unnoticed as he usually did. He had to admit that The cold warrior was acting a bit out of his normal character since they had come back. Perhaps he was mourning Li's death, but it seemed unlikely, it just wasn't in his nature. Before Canathael could ask what was going on, Sarek spoke in a low, dull tone,

"Canathael...She was...A friend...." He said slowly, searching over Canathael's palid features idly, his eyes welling up again.

"I know Sarek," He let out a shuddered sigh that was the beginning of a sob, this was all too much, "I know."

The two sat in silence, their ragged breathing of silent sobs, echoing about them hauntingly in the small space they shared. Neither touched, nor looked at eachother for that matter, it seemed that all they needed was eachother's company. To know that someone was there. Perhaps the knowledge that a friend was close by.
Maya was a little appriehensive when she first took a look at the portal, but seeing Sarek, Canathael, and even Li and Pieter go through it before her, she hastily shrugged aside her fears and stepped through.

Maya felt a wierd tingling feeling as she took the step, and then realized her foot had landed on solid ground, grass to be exact. Only this wasn't the short grass she was used to. This grass was tall, and went up to her thigh. Maya looked around her, and she had never seen such lucious plant life in all her years. The trees around her where higher then the highest sicamore she had ever seen. The plants themselves, not only bursting with vivid colors, where huge! Maya went over to one plant inparticular, and touched a leaf. The leaf was roughly the size of her entire arm.

"This is amazing!" Maya thought to herself as she made her way through the brush. "I bet those palentologists never dreamed of this! I have to admit, they did get it pretty close though. Esp. in that museum we went to last year. I have to say it could definately compare to this, but this is so much more beautiful!" Maya was so intrigued with the plant life, she wasn't really watching where she was going, and ran smack into something. It was as round as a tree stump of a tree that had lived over 600 years. Maya followed the stump thing up, slightly puzzled why it was a yellowish/orange color. Maya looked up, and saw a huge structure, a body. Maya took a couple of steps back and looked all the way up. There, she saw the face of a Brachiosaurus. "Woah," Maya said as she took a couple more steps back. The dinosaur didn't even seem to notice her there. "Those guys sure where right. These guys are WAY taller then our modern day giraffes." Maya wasn't afraid, she knew that the Brachiosaurus was a herboviore, and only ate plants. But she wondered how many of the others knew the difference between the dinosaurs. Maya figured she would be the only one to tell. All of a sudden, Maya heard a scream in the distance, "Li!" Maya said as she ran toward where the sound came from, hopping Li had not by chance met a carnivoire.

umm....*ignoring above post*
Maya stood in shock as she looked at the now lifeless body of Li, blood staining the once white sheets of the bed. Maya looked on, as if frozen to that one spot in the medical bay. The words of "I'm sorry" echoed through her head as all emotions seems to fall out of her body, replaced by the intense feeling of greif and sadness. Maya could not stop the tears rolling down her cheecks, her face from being flushed. She had lost all feeling. She hardly noticed when Canathael ran out of the room. Maya felt completely alone. The world seemed to slow down, each passing second seemed like an hour. Maya's mind raced back to the first time she had met Li, here on the ship. Although Maya had always found her a little wierd and outdated for obvious reasons, she came from a time period that was long ago by Maya's and Dave's standards, but she had always felt some sort of closeness to her. Maybe it was because Li and Maya where the only girls on the ship, maybe it was because Maya greatly admired her fighting spirit. Somewhere inside herself, Maya thought of Li as an almost older sister, and now she was gone. Nothing could bring her back, just like nothing could bring her brother, or Katie back.

"Maya....are you okay?" she heard Pieter's voice come from the other side of the room, heading towards her. Maya looked up at him, tears contiuning to flow down her cheecks. His face was just as red, you could tell he had been crying, but death was something he was used to. He didn't show it as outwardly as the others did. Pieter motioned to put his arm around her, but Maya swatted it away.

"Of course I'm not okay you idiot!" Maya yelled as she stepped away. "Li is dead! Our friend is dead! And I...I couldn't do anything..." Maya said now feeling frustrated. "Just leave me alone!" Maya yelled as Pieter try once again to comfort her, as she ran out of the room, pushing past Erika, as tears contiuned to fall.

"Why is it that everyone who gets close to me dies? Why do all my friends have to die? Why can't anything turn out happily? We where doing okay until that moment. We where all together, about to make it home. Why? Why did that bastard have to shoot her?" These thoughts raced through Maya's mind as her feet led her unconsciously to the door of Canathael's room. Maya raised her hand to knock on the door, but found that she didn't have the strength, or willpower to actually hit the door. Too many thoughts where racing through her mind as her feet took flight again, and now lead her to the study. Maya stopped and saw a book laying on the coffee table.

"This...this was the book Li was readying before we left." Maya grabbed the book, and held it close as she curled into a ball on the chair, putting her feet on the chair, resting the book on her knees, and wept into the book.

Morgon stood, leaning, against one of the far walls watching every one. Li's lifeless body still spuing blood lay in the center on once white sheets. Morgon could only watch the others for she didn't truly belong here, not yet if ever after this. Cael had left in a fit of nauesa and Sarek had disappeared shortly after, and now the girl Maya had left, tears streaming down her face. Morgon looked about the room seeing Pieter and Erika as the only two to be left. Erika was almost as lost as Morgon was in this whole mess, the only thing Morgon had that Erika didn't was information. Morgon knew all the crews members background and their time-traveling. Erika only knew the little bit that Sarek had offered. Morgon gave a slight smile, a smile filled with desperation and not of joy. She uncrossed her arms and pushed her way to her feet.

"Hey kid, come with'd me." Morgon grabbed a hold of Erika's shoulder as she made her way towards the door. The girl started strangely at the modernly dressed pirate as Morgon turned to Pieter.

"I be understandin' ye loss, but sittin' here and makin' ye-self suffer ain't brin' her back." Morgon said to him, her voice filled with tenderness.

"You don't know what its like to be in war!" he nearly screamed at her.

Morgon moved closer to Pieter, placing a hand on each of his shoulders. "Even if I didn't, it still wouldn't change nothin' 'bout what I said. Ye other friends, the ones that still be here, they need ye now. Ye should go to them, not her with the already dead."

Pieter shoved Morgon from him. Morgon nodded her head and sighed as she turned back to Erika. "I be showin' ye around, maybe ye will understand better." Morgon told the girl. She nodded her head.

Morgon showed Erika around, explaining as best she could to the girl what she knew. She showed her all the crews files, including Li's. Morgon found herself repeating herself continuioulsy, but it was alright.

Aye, Zoso, the sign-up's are closed for this RPG and you'd have to write your own post and not use Duo's. You can't post here unless you're part of the RPG.
Anyway I have an update. Due me thinking this RPG was dead (again, and I was proven wrong by my trusty friends, again, lol) I've decided that there should be a break from the action packed Chapters. The double-chapter which should be now will be Chapter 5-6 instead of Chapter 4-5. However there will be later double-chapters (14-15 and 24-25, 25 being the last chapter... I think I planned this RPG too long, lol). Anyway this Chapter is a very good chance to go deeper into our characters and stuff since most of it will take place on the ship... with a new crewmate (or so... we think).

Chapter Four:
Genesis
For the first time Protosis makes a jump not into Earth?s history but into the history of another race. When the crew arrive on a deserted planet they are unable to find Protosis but they do manage to find an android that is damaged. Thinking Dave can repair it, they take the android back to the ship with them. When Dave fixes the android they names it Genesis believing this android was one of many dropped off on uninhabited planets to create cities for its alien creators to live on. Genesis seems like a pretty nice android, but that may not be so. Protosis, Marrek and Severus(wolfmachine) arrive on the ship and take over the second and third decks, but they don?t seem interested in the crew. Is there more to Genesis than the crew think?

Sarek sat silent for a few moments more, staring down at his boots and remembering the few conversations with Li. Yes, they were some conversation between then and Sarek never actually had a problem with Li, though he knew he didn't get along with people like Canathael... until now.

Suddenly, Sarek broke the silence with a shallow, cold hearted laugh. Canathael looked up at him, then Sarek spoke. "I'm sorry, it's just funny. Not Li's death, no... that's nothing to laugh about. What's funny is what I'm going to do to Marrek the next I see him. They'll be hell to pay." Though Sarek was laughing, he wasn't laughing in amusment, he was just laughing. Perhaps in regret or pain, but he didn't know. Though he did know one thing that he would kill Marrek when he saw him, he'd drown him, stab him, kick him, punch him and shoot him until he was dead, it was a promise.

Sarek gave another sigh. "I'm sorry, again. I'll be going now, back to my own quarters... you should go somewhere or find someone to talk to," Sarek muttered stepping up. Canathael looked up at him again, then gave a nod, following him out onto the corridors.

"Protosis wasn't really that bad, was he?" Canathael said as they slowly walked.

"No, actually. I think he might actually be doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. Just to slim the numbers down, let's say there are a billion people on earth in every timeline... and in his solar system there are 4 billion in every timeline, I know there's much more, but still... His 4 billion outweighs our 1 million. And even if you count the rest of the Universe in, there's still going to be some on his side." Sarek said. He put his hands in his pockets feeling thankful he was in his normal clothes now. Well they were full of blood and he still needed to get his wound fixed.

"Perhaps Marrek is the evil one of the two." Canathael said giving a low sigh. Sarek moved his eyes to meet Canathael, and growled slightly.

"... To put it mildly, Marrek is the most evil bastard I've known. He actually stole part of my name... I should've killed him for that." Sarek grumbled. As he thought of Marrek and how much he hated him now he remembered the first time he meet the guy he had the chance to kill Marrek, but he let him live. "This is all my fault... I should've killed Marrek when I had the chance." Sarek mumbled coming to a halt. Canathael stopped, turning around to Sarek.

"No one could have predicted what would have happen, Sir Sarek." He said reassuringly, but Sarek wasn't convinced.

"When a man is going to kill billions of people and annihilate their very existence, what would you do to his right hand man?" Sarek said, looking up at the dark ceiling painfully. When Canathael gave no response, Sarek looked at him darkly, his eye twitching so he didn't cry again. "...Kill him."

For the rest of the trip down the corridor and in the lift, both warriors stayed silent, Sarek giving a few mutters now and then, but not talking. Perhaps what he needed now was a friend and when Canathael was indeed being a friend by talking... Sarek had countered his reassuring words. Trying to break the silence once more, Sarek spoke.

"Back in my time I learnt from my father that the dead would be buried in the place they were born and each of their friends would bury them with an item to represent the dead's personality," Sarek said. "If we do bury Li, then she'll be buried with some of my spears. I only have two, one I haven't used. It's frozen somewhere in my quarters..." Sarek muttered pulling his spear out of his and looking at it. It had blood on the tip now and was muddy from the adventures, but it was still his spear. "If you had the same ritual, what would you bury with her?"

"I'm... not sure." Canathael replied. "I have nothing that would represent her personality."

"I'm sure if you did the item would be just perfect." Sarek said giving a light laugh. Suddenly, the doors to the lift swung open coming onto the corridor where the quarters were. The two walked silently down to Sarek's quarters, were even with the door closed icy drips of water and ice could be seen dripping from the top and from the bottom of the door.

"I'd invite you in," Sarek began, pushing his door open to reveal a cold, icy room with most of the parts in it frozen. "But I believe it would be a bit too cold, I apologize for that." He said giving a last laugh. Canathael gave him a warm smile, then a nod.

w00t! only 2 weeks of school left!!!
Maya slowly opened her eyes. She looked around her, through blurry eyes, red from crying so much, and blurry from just awaking, to find herself still in the study, still in that crouched position. Maya looked down to what she felt in her lap, and everything came rushing back to her. The battle between the gangs, Sarek falling into the river, Maya shooting to try to save him, the new girl, the group finally getting together, then Morgon and Li having to fight each other, and finally, Li's life being taken away by that evil bastard who had no right to be called human, if he was even that. He had to right to live, Maya was sure of that. Maya grabbed the book tighly with one hand, and with the other wiped her eyes, and stood up to stretch. Maya wasn't for sure how long she had been asleep, but now her body was so limp from having lost almost all feeling, and from being curled in a ball, she could barely walk. In a way, Maya wished she could have remained asleep, in her mind everything was fine, no one had to die. Maya clutched the book tightly to her chest as she thought of Li again, and started to make her way to her room, not really sure where else to go. "At least I can be more comforable in my bed...well....as comfortable as i could be right now." she thought.

Maya walked quietly through the ship, hardly making a sound, moving slow. It was an effort to make one leg move, her body semi-falling forward as she stepped, regaining her balance, and then stepping again. Maya made it to the lift and pressed the number for the quarters floor. The door swished open abruptly as Maya stepped out, and procedded to continue to walk toward her quarters. She heard a door open/close, but Maya paid no attention to who it was, watching the ground as she walked, until she found her way to her room, opened the door, and went inside.

Maya gently propped Li's book up on the nightstand next to her bed, that contained a picture of her and Katie at a fair. "I'm sorry, both of you," Maya said as she held back the tears that where coming to her, and let herself fall onto the bed.

Lol, everytime I kill this thread it comes back to life a little, woohoo! I created an immortal RPG!!!

Sarek Luther... son of Morbius and Ishara Luther and grandson of Monbrulis Luther... what did Morbius and Monbrulis mean? Well... any warrior with Mo at the start of their name and S at the end were known as Warlords, great fighters and great hunters. And Luther meant Ultimate in the old text of their Legends... so the family of the Luther's were known as Ultimate Warlords... but Sarek... no, he was something different. His name meant Ultimate Immortal.

He looked around slowly, not believing his eyes at first. The darkness of the sky, and the white snow. White, not read from the cold nor red from its heat, it was white. And it was snow, icy, cold snow. Just like home. The cold icy feeling of his home and the cold winds blowing through his silver hair.

Sarek looked down at his hands slowly, only to see something lay beneath him. He blinked slowly and knelt down beside the creature, shocked to see it pounce up and sit up, looking at Sarek. Then he remembered what it was... what he was. Gaur, the tiger creature he met on the cliffs. Exactly as he was years ago, with golden fur hanging over his body and two large white teeth dropping over its lip. The red eyes of Gaur stared up at Sarek, not playful, but ready to kill.

"Gaur..." Sarek whispered slowly reaching out and touching Gaur's nose. He felt the same cold feeling he had felt years ago... it was Gaur, but how? As Sarek was thinking of how this could be possible, Gaur got to its feet and ran through the snow gently but on swift and deadly heels.

Sarek followed his companion, jogging just enough to keep up. Then he released what was going to happen. Ahead of him was an icy cliff dropping down into freezing cold ice water, yes... Sarek knew what happen next, he would leap off the cliff and into the water with Gaur following, swim to the shore and then... he... couldn't remember.

Sarek pushed himself forward, lowering his head. He felt the snow fall from his feet as he leapt off the cliff edge and lifted his head, pushing his chest out and forward. He felt the beautiful cold winds of his home smash on his face and push back his silver hair and the fur of his companion leaping beside him. When he felt his body dropping, Sarek flipped over into a dive, heading straight for the thick icy water. He used his arms to cover his head, and then he felt the icy lake crack and the thickness of the ice cracking as he fell through it into the water.

There was the sound of a heavier being falling beside him in the water... Gaur. Sarek looked around under the pitchblack water, seeing nothing. But he could feel the norm of his world, the cold. With Gaur swimming around him, Sarek shook of the feeling of impossibleness and swam forward pushing through the water and the random pieces of ice in it.

His hand reached out onto the shores of the edge of the lake, and he pulled himself up as easily as paper. Gaur followed with a graceful leap onto the surface, once again looking up at Sarek Luther for guidence. Sarek let himself smile beneath his mask as he stared at is companion. Once again Sarek darted off in the hills of snow and ice, but this time it was different. A powerful force leapt out at him, making him crash backwards into the snow. He heard Gaur growling madly in the daze of the snow on his face, but Sarek wasn't sure what attacked him. The heaviness of the creature got off Sarek and then the scratching and growling of Gaur could be heard. Yes... this was the day... but it didn't happen like this.

Sarek leapt up with his fist clenched and his teeth clenched. Ahead of him Gaur was fighting his own kind furiously, ripping and biting. In an instant, Sarek leapt forward and grabbed the other golden creature tightly with his arms, puching and kicking it. The creature roared and ripped at Sarek, but got nowhere. Then, Gaur leapt forward and bit the creature on its throat, ripping out the loose flesh and piercing the creatures eye with his giant fangs. Gaur ripped the flesh right from the creature's face and neck, making it faint.

Sarek didn't speak, knowing Gaur couldn't understand. Instead, he put his hand on his friends head, and smiled once again under his mask. So what if this wasn't the way it happened, it happened differently this time. It didn't matter... Gaur lived...

"Gaur..." Sarek said again. Gaur cocked his head to the side, but in an instant he stopped his curious look. There was a load banging noise, that of the guns Sarek heard in his travels through time. The expression on Gaur's face faded slowly as if he was falling into a slumber, making Sarek twitch and twing in... fear.

He looked up slowly as Gaur fell into his arms, only to see through the mist the man he hated forever... the man he swore to kill. Marrek, smirking back, with the gun aimed at Gaur. A laugh followed, but not from Sarek like normal when he was sad, it was sinister and evil... Marrek's. Sarek didn't jump up and lash out at Marrek, instead he put his head on Gaur's fur, and held back tears.

"Sarek, Sarek! Are you okay? Hey, Sarek!" A voice shouted behind Sarek's door, followed by bangs and knocks. Sarek slowly looked up from his arms, and towards the door.

"...yes..." He said, finally knowing he must have fallen asleep.

"It's Dave... will you come down to the portal in half an hour? Li... deserves a funeral... in her own time..." The voice of Dave said with a twinge of pain. Sarek paused for awhile, and shook his head slowly.

"...I shall." He finally said. Sarek found himself sat beside the wall, he had fallen asleep with his head in his arms and his spear that he would give to Li in his hand... but the dream, it was like what happened when Gaur died, but in his dream Marrek shot him. Just like he did too Li... when someone survived, Marrek killed them.

There was a sudden shot of uncontrollable rage bursting through his body. He clenched his fists hard, so hard he had never felt it before. His nails began to cut through his skin and palms he was clenching them so hard. A pale liquid, his blood, dripped from his palms and down his mask while his hand was over his head, and in moments and jumped up and smashed his fist into the wall.

The wall shattered and smashed, causing a big hall to rip through the wall of both the rooms. He wasn't sure if the room beside him was occupied by one of his crewmembers or not, but he didn't care. Without looking to see if he disturbed anyone, Sarek sank back down to the floor with his head in his bleeding hands.

This thing will never EVER die. We should do as the RPG commands us, and play along like the loyal little players we are :p

After Canathael had bid a short farewell to Sarrek, he made a short walk next door to his own quarters. knowing that a good rest was in order.

The smooth black pannel slid up and away from the sorcerer as he approached his room. not reacting to the hiss the door gave that usually startled him. It seemed that he was too mentally exhausted to notice at this point. Upon entering, the room lightened. Candles sparked to life, and torches blazed casting eerie shadows across the tapestry filled walls and cool stone floor. The desk was slightly cluttered with parchments, quills, inkbottles and books he had collected from the study. Yet these things hadn't been touched since they were set there. Most of his work was done in the study. A large unused bed sat still beside the far wall, its covers not once disturbed by Canathael, who hadn't found much time for sleep since he arrived.

The bed seemed welcoming now as he crossed the room, discarding his clothes as he went. Now dressed only in his thin trousers Canathael had settled on the bed, sinking down into the goose feathered mattress. He looked about the room absently, pulling his knees to his chest as he did so.

All was quiet, spare the light roar that came from the flickering torches and his own breathing. The room was chilly, as it always was. He imagined it was because Sarrek lived right next door in his own frozen tundra, but it really didn't bother him all that much. Tipping over onto his side, still hugging his knees Canathael allowed the bed to swallow him into its depths. Chancing at the opwertunity to get a small amount of sleep.

All was calm. Quiet. Sleep was comming.

KERSMASH!

Canathael starled horribly at the noise, scrambling to his knees as best as he could upon the pillowy surface he had settled onto. A rush of bone-chilling air rushed over him, setting his body to quake and convulse quite horribly against the cold.

if I don't get away....I'll die...so....cold....

Were the thoughts running through the sorcerer's mind. He hugged himself more firmly, trying to will his body to move, but it seemed all he wanted to do was remain still, and let idleness consume him.

Before he could fathom what was happening Dave, hearing the crash rushed into Canathael's room to investigate the source of the noise. He rushed in to grasp the half naked man and pushed him rather roughly from the room, shutting the door behind him.

"damnit!" Dave screamed, slamming his fist against the wall in frustration. If he hadn't heard that crash, he imagined The sorcerer would have frozen to death given the short amount of time it took from Sarrek's environment to affect a normal human. He sighed, looking down at the nearly frozen Canathael, who had sunken to his knees, hugging his arms to himself shivering.

"s-s-sir d-d-d-dave...." He stamered, jaws clacking restlessly against the cold, fully begining to realize what had happened.

"I guess you'll need somewhere else to stay for the time being huh?" Dave said solomnly throwing a rather angry glare towards Sarrek's door. He would have suggested offering Li's room, but that was still a rather sensitive subject. "Follow me."

Dave led the frozen man down the hallway to Maya's room, where he could deliver the message of their departure and give Canathael a place to stay for the time being. He stopped at another black door and knocked, receiving no answer. Dave sighed again rubbing his temples,

"No answer huh?" He turned to Canathael, who had quelled his shivering but still looked very cold, "Listen, just ask her if you could stay for a while, I gotta tell everyone else that we're leaving soon, could you pass it on?"

"I will..." He murmured, watching the man who brought them all together take off down the hallway.

Canathael resumed knocking, hoping to receive an answer.

"Oh my gosh, I'm sooo glad school if finally over," Maya said as she strapped her backpack on, and headed out through the front doors of her High School, watching the other kids in her grade and above walk across the grounds to their cars, and their rides. Maya didn't have such a thing, her father didn't give a crap, and even if they could afford a car, he drove it to work everyday. So thus, Maya walked. But the journey wasn't a lonely one, Maya always had Katie to walk with.

"I can't believe you fell asleep in physics class again!" Katie exclaimed with a giggle as she caught up with Maya, the two now walking at an even pace. "The teacher sure was mad."

"Naw, I think he was maddest when I proved that what he said wasn't entirely correct." Maya said with a satisfactory smile. "My theories are never wrong."

"You never know," Katie said with an air of knowing something that Maya didn't, and gave her a look that meant the same. Maya punched her playfully as the two came across a group of giggling girls waiting for the sidewalk light to change.

"Oh! You better look out Sarah! It says something good is going to come your way!" a brown haired girl said with a giggle.

"Oh! You're fortune says "beware of a mysterious encounter"," the girl named Sarah returned with the same type of giggle. Maya sighed as she came up behind them.

"I can't believe you two are still into that tarot card crap," Maya said as she reached past them to press the light button again. "It's all a bunch of BS. There's no such thing as magic."

"Well, Ms. Know-it-all, why don't you try it out yourself." Sarah said as she pushed a couple of the cards into Maya's hands.

"Tsh, like I would ever do that. I don't need some stupid cards to tell me the future. I just live life day to day, and believe only in my theories."

"Oh yes, science is the answer to everything," the brown haired girl said sarcastically.

"All right then, prove that one of my theories is wrong." Maya said defensively.

"Umm....the light turned green," Katie said in the background but no one was paying attention.

Sarah looked at her, and thought. "Heh, you know it's right. I'm always right." Maya thought to herself.

"You can't live in the past!" Sarah blurted out. "If you keep living in the past, you're missing out on everything you live day to day. You can't bring back the dead, but just because they have died doesn't mean they're truely gone. The dead live inside of us. As long as we have memories of them, and we cherish those memories, they will never truely die." Sarah said as she looked up toward Maya. "Even though they are gone, they still live on inside of you. Your brother, Katie, and even Li too."

"What? How do you know?" Maya said startled as everything around her faded away, leaving just her and Sarah in darkness.

BANG! BANG! Came a knock on the door.

"Even though they are gone, they live on inside of you," Sarah's voice faded as she too disappeared, and Maya awoke, breathing deeply, sweat dripping down her cheeck.

The knock on the door was heard again as Maya rose from where she had fallen onto the bed, wipped the sweat from her face, slightly shaking, and put her hand on the lock to open the door.

Maya's jaw almost dropped to the floor as she stared at the half naked, shivering man outside her door. "Canathael? What's going on? Where are your clothes?" Maya asked as she took his hand and lead him inside the room, shutting the door behind them.

"P-please f-forgive me, My Lady. There seems to have been an accident in my room. I dare hope it wouldn't trouble you too much if I where to stay here for the night?"

"Huh?" Maya said as she stopped searching the drawers, finding a shirt, one that once belonged to her father, blue, that had stripes across the shoulder part, that could possibly fit him, and handing it to him. "Put this on, I hope it will fit." she commanded as she watched him barely be able to get it over his head. "Well, it's a little tight but it will have to do." Maya said with a slight giggle. She couldn't help but admitt, he did look a little funny with it on. Canathael gave her a wierd look, as she handed him a blanket to wrap up in and contiuned. "So you want to stay here?" Maya asked, slightly uneasy.

"I'm afraid I cannot return to my room at this time. If it is a problem, I will be more then happy to..."Canathael began as Maya cut him off, grabbing his arm.

"No, it's okay. Please don't go." Maya said as she hugged his arm. "I...I don't want to lose you too." Maya said as a tear started to form in her eye.

"I am not going anywhere, my lady," Canathael replied as he looked down at her. "Though, I'm afraid Sir Dave tells me that we are going to be leaving soon, to give Li a proper burial in her own time."

"In her own time? You mean, we're going to go to where she lived?" Maya asked as she looked up at him. Canathael nodded, as Maya let go of his arm, and walked over to the dresser where she had set up the book next to the picture. "Then, maybe I should give this back to her. You think that would be alright?" Maya said as sat down at the end of the bed, touching the book softly.

"I believe Lady Li would like that." Canathael said with a smile, as he looked around the room. The room looked like a room you and I would have today. A bed was nestled in the corner, and next to it a desk, that had a laptop on it, only it was a new version of computer that Dave had given to her, she had not been able to do much with it since she got on the ship though. The desk contained many pictures that Maya had brought with her, mostly of her and her brother, and her and Katie. Maya sighed as she placed the book back on the desk.

"You're probably tired. Being cold has a tendensey to slow your body down and make you sleepy. You can sleep on the bed if you want." Maya suggesested, slightly blushing.

"Ey, Capin'!" some one shouted over the thick crashing of waves against the wooden blanks of the english naval ship.

"Wha' ye be needin' Night?" Morgon slid her feet of her desk as the young man rushed into the cabin. His face was creased with excitement as he slammed his palms onto the table.

"We found this cove, Capin'. It be perfect to be stayin' the day in. No one be findin' us there!" Night shouted.

Morgon smiled at him and shook her head.

"Wha'?" Night pulled himself back, his hands sliding to his side.

"Keep lookin' Night. I ain't likin' that there be no exit, just the one we be comin' on." Morgon smiled at her first-mate. They had grown up together and she respected him far more than any of the others on the ship. He was a strong fighter and had been at her side for as long as she could remember.

"Wha' ye be thinkin' Capin'. I seen that look on ye face before. Somethin' is botherin' ye." Night creased his face in concern, but Morgon only smiled at him.

"Give the order to the others, would ye Night?"

"Aye, aye Capin'." Night rushed from the cabin and back up the stairs. She could hear him yell the new orders up on the deck, some protesting and others taking the orders whole heartly.

Morgon stood slowly and looked about the cabin. Everything was the way she remembered it. The strange treasures she had obtained, the weaponary and the english naval design. If only things had been different, she would still be sailing the seven seas with Night and the others. If only she had thought more thoroughly about the location and the layout of the cove instead of being so thrilled to enjoy the thrill of life. If only she had taken the time every one would still be alive.

There was a loud knock on the metal door to her room. "Where going to be leaving to Li's timeline very soon. Please get ready." David yell from outside.

"Aye," Morgon replied. Morgon looked about the room, grabbed the sword that had injured Li and rushed from her quarters.

"Hey, David." Morgon shouted, catching his back just before he disappeared down another corridor.

"Hello, Morgon. What can I do for you?" He replied when he turned around.

"I want ye to change me room. If that be ok. Make it modern, like ye's or maybe somethin' like the girl Maya."

David looked at the pirate strangely for a moment and then shook his head, "sure, I can do that Morgon. As soon as we get back from Li's timeline I'll get right on it."

"Thank ye." Morgon nodded her head.

"Come on, let's get the others." David motioned her to follow and she did.

Hey guys, I was just wondering if you had any opinons about the length this whole thing will be. Not this chapter, the RPG. 25 chapters, 3 double chapters and a few easy going chapters, should I shorten it? You can either post here in a OOC or in the Underground (which would be better).

The strongest warriors are those who endure, Sarek knew that. He also knew that the strongest warriors did anything to survive, and he would have done that, but things change... all the time. Some for the worst and some for the good, but this time his change wasn't as he expected.

"Sarek, are you coming?" Dave began knocking on the door again. Sarek was sat twirling his clean and new spear in his hand, but he did hear Dave.

"Yes." Sarek replied plainly. He tucked the spear into his belt and rose, stopping just to look at the bullet wound in his body. He had to get it fixed, adaption could only last for so long until you really feel it. Sighing heavily and hanging his head once more, Sarek walked towards his door and slid it open, making Dave jump back because of the rush of cold and wind.

"Nice ta be seein' ya again Sarek." Morgon said behind Dave. Sarek gave a slow nod, and then followed Dave down the corridor.

"You're lucky to go, I can't. Someone has to say here to get you all back, if that portal closes with no one on the ship we'll be stuck." Dave muttered sliding his hands in his pockets. "I set everything up. Coffin and all. You, Pieter, Sutaru and Canathael should carry it, I'm not sure if it's Li's tradition, but it was mine anyway."

"We did the same, and we buried them with an item representing their personality." Sarek said whipping out the spear and showing it to Dave. "I guess we're having this with all the tradition of our worlds in it." He sighed again, and gave a slow nod to himself.

"You and Morgon go ahead, I'll go get Canathael and Maya, alright?" Dave said, suddenly stopping. Sarek gave him a slow nod and continued down the corridor with his head down, and Morgon behind.

"How are ye feelin'?" Morgon asked quietly.

"Like shit." Sarek mumbled weakly. He shook his head and blinked, still staring at the floor. "Seriously. I had this dream... back when I was younger my friend, Gaur was killed by one of his own race. In my dream I relived the event, only Gaur survived... only to be murdered by Marrek..." Sarek clenched his fist hard, almost piercing into the wounds he created before. he growled under his breath angrilly.

"Sounds like Marrek'll want ta stay away from us fer awhile." Morgon said in a mutter.

"Actually, I want him to come near, so I can rip his head of and throw him into the most disgusting timeline there is." He growled for awhile, then rubbed his forehead, sighing. "...But right now I'll pay my respects to Li."

"Thank you my lady, but I think I shall sit instead." Canathael polietly bowed, declining the offer to use the bed. He coutched down before the bed, slowly folding his legs beneith himself, pulling the blankets tighter. Maya watched him with curiosity, taking a seat on the bed in front of him and smiling when he stuffled a sneeze.

"What happened to you anyway?" she asked, setting the book she still held in her arms next to her on the matress.

"I'm not quite sure myself, but I beleive Sir Sarek put a hole in his wall that was next to my room." he explained sniffling slightly as he adjusted to his rising body temperature.

The two remained silent for a long time, both knowing why Sarek had punched his wall. It was the same reason an unshakable gloom hung over all of them, Li's death. It all seemed so surreal, yet so real all at the same time. Canathael furrowed his brow in thought.

It only seemed that he was slaving away in his master's foul study only yesterday when David had first made contact. Little did he know that saying yes would land him such a bizzare world with such outlandish people. People that he would laugh with him, that would fight with him, that would cry with him. People, that no matter how strong they appeared were just the fragile shells of humans susceptable to death in the end.

And they were all good to him, even Sarek when he could manage it. It was not Li's death that was completely weighing on his spirits, not only that, but the fact that any of the other people he had grown to love could fall to the same fate. It frightened him, and angered him at the same time...

"Cael? Why are you crying?" Came a concerned and somewhat surprised call from Maya.

Canathael blinked through salty tears that had welled within his eyes as he sat in thought. They were soon followed by a shuddered sob.

"L-Lady Ma-Maya..." He choked, hanging his head low to hide within the blanket. It wasn't proper in his time for a man to weep before a woman. Funny how such small things stay attached deep within the recesses of one's mind.

"Cael?" Maya had knealt on the floor before him, slowly pulling back the covering he had addopted upon his head, "What is it?"

Canathael moved like a flash, wrapping his arms securely around Maya, quickly enough to receive a surprised yelp from the bewildered girl. He pulled her close, to his chest, resting his chin atop her head, at least now she couldn't see him cry.

"Lady Maya, Promise me..." He began to calm down, as did she, remaining very still against him, "Promise me that you will remain safe from harm."

Maya smiled, knowing full well that she couldn't make an empty promise like that, But she could try...

"I will always be safe with friends like you..." She answered, resting serenely against the sorcerer, The two forgetting for just a moment, the pains that lay ahead...

OOC: So sorry for hardly ever posting! I wasn?t expecting all the crap that got dumped on me!

IC: Erika watched, eyes half closed, as Sarek and the others made plans for Li?s burial. She felt out of place, and felt slightly guilty for making Sarek accept her. ?Erika??

The girl?s head snapped up, and she looked straight into Sarek?s eyes. ?Anyone home?? She dropped her eyes in respect. ?I?m sorry, Sarek. I didn?t mean-? Sarek cut her off with a short bark-like laugh. ?Sorry? For what?? Gold eyes lifted to meet his. ?For burdening you. I shouldn?t have insisted. Maybe then your friend would still be alive.? Sarek looked at her.

?How could that have prevented it??

Erika sighed. ?One small thing can overbalance the whole system.? She shifted, and then stopped leaning on the wall. ?I?m going to wander.? She left them, her mind wandering before she was even out of sight.

What about that girl? Li? ? She was important to them?

And what does that matter to you?

I feel as if it was my fault.

Why?

If I had been able to kill that woman ? The voice in the back of her mind sneered at her.

You couldn?t have, and you know it.

I know this. But I wish I could have.

Erika found herself in a blank, dimly lit hallway. ?Great, now I?m lost.? She muttered to herself. She sat down, up against the wall, and closed her eyes. She sent her mind out, trying to take hold of another mind; Erika knew she had telepathy, if only she could figure out how to use it?

Sarek?

You can choose if she was successful or not. Again, apologies for not posting.

Maya nestled her head snuggly on Canathael's chest. "I know I'll be safe as long as you and the others are around. And I promise, I won't let anything happen to you either. I don't want to lose anyone else, espically not you." Maya said quietly as she felt him calm down even more. Maya was glad. She couldn't stand to see Canathael in such torment and pain. "As long as I have my memories of Li, she isn't truely dead." Maya thought quietly. "I just hope the others releaize this as well." Maya closed her eyes, feeling slightly sleepy. Feeling Canathael's warmness close to her, Maya felt safe, and comfortable, though her feet where twisted a little behind her. Maya was just about to fall asleep, the quiet drone of Canathael's breathing like a melody to her, when a knock came from the door.

"Who is it?" Maya called, not really wanting to get up from the carpeted floor.

"It's Dave. Open up." Dave's voice called as he pounded on the door once more.

"Okay, I'm coming, just hold on!" Maya called as she slowly pushed herself off of Canathael with his help. Maya smiled down at him, as she turned around and walked over to the door, once again putting her hand on the device for the door to open.

Dave was waiting outside the door, his hands in his pockets, and head looking down. He startled slightly as teh door opened and he looked up at Maya. He rocked back balls of his feet. "It's...it's time." he said as he looked at Maya and then looked away, landing back on his feet.

"Oh...okay." Maya said quietly as she too looked down. "We'll be there in a couple of mintues. The portal room right?" Dave nodded. "What about our clothes?" Maya said as she looked back at Canathael. What he was wearing truly wasn't proper for this type of ceremony, and Maya had still yet to change.

"Oh, don't worry. You'll be wearing the traditional clothes of Li's time. They'll change as you go through the portal." Dave said quietly.

"Okay, I understand." Maya said as she wondered what type of clothes would be proper in Li's timeline for a funeral. "We'll meet you there." Maya said as she shut the door, walked over to the bed and picked up the book, and held it close to her. "It...it looks like they're ready to go, Cael." Maya said as she extended her hand to help him up. Canathael allowed himself to pulled upright by the girl, as he let the blankets fall to the ground. "Shall we go?" Maya asked with a smile, trying to stop the tears forming in her eyes. Maya knew what she thought, but even though she truely believe that Li wasn't really dead as long as she remembered her, she couldn't stop her emotions from showing what she truely felt.

No problem, Rhian, and I just thought I'd bring this up, happy moment for me: I pasted the printable version of this RPG into a word document, and guess what? It comes up to 110 pages! Sweet Jesus! ^_^ When I become famous in a few years time and invent Badadabomda gun powder then you're all going to be in my biography!

"I guess everyone'll be comin', I hope they get here soon." Morgon said to Sarek. Sarek was leaning against the final, large metal, open door that lead to the portal room, with his head down on his chest and his arms folded.

"They'll all come. I feel sorry for that kid, though." Sarek muttered in reply.

"Erika? She be feelin' sorry for us, more than we be for her." Morgon said, somewhat ressuringly.

"No, she's been dragged right in the middle of this. She was in a time of gang wars, but this is a time of real war..." Sarek said, pausing for a moment. "...For the Universe, the most powerful thing ever to exist, time. A few scraps of land and lives were at risk in her time, but everything's at risk now. Everything... our very existance." He thought about his words for a moment. "... now we're a member down, she could make up for Li... but it wouldn't be right."

"I'm sorry." Morgon mumbled. Sarek looked up at her, confused slightly and titling his head.

"For what?" He asked. Morgon looked down at the floor and didn't reply, but Sarek knew what she meant. "...Oh, I didn't mean to..." he cut himself off when she turned away and folded her arms. "Look, you didn't kill her, it was Marrek. Dave said 'she could have survived' and that's it, if Marrek hadn't shot her then she wouldn't be dead, it's not your fault."

"And if I hadn't wounded her so badly she would have survived the wound."

"If you didn't fight to your fulliest then I'd be dead, Sutaru would die, and Protosis would have won." Sarek stepped forward and put a reassuring hand on Morgon's shoulder. "I know this. The need of the many out ways the need of the few. That's the warriors rule, perhaps Li didn't follow it, but she was a warrior, never the less."

Sarek turned around and leant back on the wall, sighing heavily.

...Sarek?

He looked up, thinking Morgon had said his name, but noticed she was still turned around. He shook off the feeling, and looked down again closing his eyes.

...Sarek, can you hear me? It's Erika?

Sarek didn't even have to open his eyes to know Erika was not in the room, maybe it was his mind... palying tricks, but that had never happened. Never. He didn't think anything for a moment, but he kept his eyes closed and decided that he should try something... if it was Erika, which he found unlikely, he might as well try and say something.

...What?

Through all the words and questioned he could have asked, he had to ask that on, what... Keeping his eyes closed, he concentrated hard and try and hear something else, to prove that it was either his mind playing tricks or truly Erika... with some kind of power.

I'm speaking through telepathy. I'm a little lost on the ship-

Holy shit, telepathy? I've heard of it, but never thought it to be possible...

Sarek opened his eyes a little, but heard Erika fade a bit, so he closed them again and concentrated more. He remembered that he just cut Erika off, and made up for it.

You should be on the forth floor right now, you won't get lost anymore. You should keep walking down the corridor, you'll come to a lift. Go in there and go to the first floor, look around their for awhile, you'll find it interesting.

Sarek said in his mind. He smiled to himself, thinking of how annoyed Dave would be if anyone messed with the bridge controls.

"You alright?" A voice suddenly cut his concentration, making Sarek jolt his head up. Dave came walking through the doors, with Pieter and Sutaru behind him. "You looked like you were asleep there. Are you ready to go? Maya and Canathael are coming now."

Sarek paused for a moment, then gave a nod.
