::Ex-Soldier:: Posted September 19, 2004 Share Posted September 19, 2004 Ok, I live in a neighborhood, and all my friends do is stay outside skateboarding most of the time, and just hanging out. It's been like this for a very long while. But recently, within the last 3 months, a group of kids have been hanging around, giving us dirty looks, smashing things, acting "gangster", and recently, they knocked my friend off of his skateboard, and I was so pissed, I was ready to knock one of them out. There were times when a few other kids on bikes with bats wanted to fight the kids starting trouble. They obviously got scared, but whenever they are in big groups, they scoff at us, and I'm sick of it. Today, I got so pissed that I nearly felt a vein pop. One of them says "Sorry for pushing you off the skateboard" and then they both laugh as if it's funny, so I say "What's so funny?" and they come up behind me and start talking to me. I told them I wanted them to face me in the front, and stop being such ******* ****. So they both come up to me, as if they want to fight, and I'm ready for whatever happens. But they do nothing. It's as if they think they own this neighborhood, and even though it isn't about owning a neighborhood, it's the principal of acting big infront of people who have been here from a long time ago. They're not tough at all, and every other person in this neighborhood is sick of them. And I'm getting to the point where I think I'm gonna fight, I can't take it anymore. They piss me off so much, you can't believe. But I'm not sure if this can be resolved otherwise, because talking to them isn't working, and I think giving them a good beating will only make things worse, but I think it's gonna come down to that. I would, if I were you, wait until the next time they confront you. If they act like theyre going to fight, then just start landing hits on them. If they back off, great. If not, then keep fighting. Otherwise, tell these kids that theyre posers and they should **** off and stop acting like theyre "cool" because it makes them look like real dumb***es. Well, thats the bad side of me anyway. The good side of me, which is in kwan shu karate, would just go and tell them to stop acting retarded. If they choose to fight you, then just defend yourself. Personally I've never been big on the whole "[I]kick the livin' crap out of a guy because he's annoying you[/I]", but that's me and I only have your side of the story to make judgements on. If the group is really annoying you then I'd suggest that you just leave it be and ignore them, find somewhere else and see how quickly they'll lose interest in their newly acquired piece of territory. If you do want to take this to the level of a physical brawl, which it sounds like it may turn out my only advice to you is to bring guy who are bigger and stronger their guys are, that and have more of them. If it does degenerate into brawl I can assure you that most of these tough guys will have little interest in fighting you if they think they're going to lose, they'll probably just turn tail and run and that'll be the end of it. Next time they come up to you, or starting fooling around and annoying people, tell them to back off (or the other way, pi** off), and if they come up to you with that hard attitude just let them take the first hit. If they don't hit you but continue being annoying then keep telling them to back off. I wouldn't provoke people because then it looks like it's all our fault. Whatever you do, don't make it look like you're the one who's causing all the trouble. Make them strike first then hit them back, because you can't be blamed if you didn't take the first hit. Hitting them back is simply defending yourself. Next time they act hard and tough, I'd say show them you're not afraid of them and don't back down. Also, the Gangsta-types try to act tough and all that crap in a group, but on there own they act like lost orphens. Use this information wisely!! It could give you the upper hand! If you don't want to do that for some reason, just don't skateboard near them. They're just trying to piss you off and they're a good job from what I've seen. Most likely if you look out your window and look at a corners you'll see them or bucky bottles left in that place. Most likely there will also be Dance Music playing, no offence to people who like dance music. You may even sight a couple of Senga's getting bonked by one of them. For they will all be pissed. Now once you see them on that street corner, and if you see bottles of buckfast then thats when you phone the cops. If they don't do that then be the pacifist and tak your way out of fights. Its funny to see them get agitated because A. Your sticking up for yourself, and B. There dumb enough to believe you. If that doesn't work you could also say that you were travelling to the hospital to visit a family member that may be dyeing (god-forbid that to happen). That could be your 'passionate story'. I think i scared them just a bit when I showed them I was really angry with what was going on, but I'm sure the problem is totally solved, I don't think it ever will be for sure. You gonna tell me to piss off too?:P Dance music is the main type of music that I listen to.
