Star Trek: It has one of the first racially diverse non-stereotypical casts. It is one of the most popular TV shows ever existed. So popular it has hundreds of cults and websites. And it has spawned five spinoffs (The Animated series, TNG, DS9, Voy and Enterprise) and ten movies. So popular there is a space shuttle named after Enterprise. It also influenced an entire generation or two.

Simpsons- the most popular and longest-running cartoon.

X-Files- one of the most popular sci-fi shows.

General Hospital- the longest-running show in history

Kung Fu- the first martial arts show

Xena- one of the most awesome and most feminist shows.

JAG- The best, longest-running and most original military show

Well I'd definitely rank [b]Star Trek[/b] at the top of any list I'd write on this subject. Star Trek represented a pivotal role in television programming, it showed a future where humans had got past everything that was bad about humanity and moved on. Star Trek gave hope to a generation that things would work out OK, hell if you look at the crew of The Original Series you've got a representative from nearly every people on Earth. To me Star Trek represented that fruits of what might be if generations actually took it seriously.[/SIZE]

Well there is no show I'd particularily consider [i]important[/i]. ~_^

However, out of that list I enjoy[ed] The Simpsons, M*A*S*H, and Kung Fu. JAG isn't too bad either, but it doesn't compare to the others in my opinion. I watch TS and Mash when I can.

Most television shows these days are crap, worthless crap to rot your brain, such as reality shows. I can't stand them. Why are they so entertaining? I'll never understand the facination. *gags*

Well, im not realyl a fan of Star Trek, it was WAY befor my time. I never got into it becouse of how shitt the graphics look paired up to ours. Plus the plotline was a little *woohoo* *Wakkawakka*. The Simpsons TOTALLY OWNS FG. FG was just a stupid rip-off of the simpsons, TS kicks the living **** out of any other cartoon. Its unfortunat that they got themselves canceled. The world weeps.

Also, CSI,CSI:Miami, But not CSI:NY Which was horrible! Iwould consider some of the ebst shows. The origonal one had a great cast, with great murders, and just really made you think "Wow this show is good". CSI"Miami was ok. Until they killed of the best freaking charectar. Now that was jsut dumb. HE WAS THE BEST CHARECTAR AND THEY KILLED HIM! OMG! CSI:NY.... im not gona talk about that one, it belongs in "Worlds least improtent TVshows."
