"Mayhony!" Syn shouted and ran over.

Hyo's attention was instantly directed to Mayhony when she fell and he rushed over. "What happened?"

"I don't know...she just walked in and...fell..." Syn replied. "She's seriously injured..."

"We have to get her to a hospital quickly." Senkai said.

"We don't have time for that! She has a fricken dagger in her back!" Syn snapped.

"What do you think we can do that the hospital can't?!" Senkai replied.

"Out of all of us here one of us should have some medical experience. Anybody?" Syn asked.

Hyo ran upstairs and returned quickly with a medical kit. "I have some experience...I had to be able to help my allies on assassination missions. Let's get her to her room." Hyo said. Syn and Senkai nodded and lifted her by putting a towel under her as a stretcher. They lay her on the bed and gave Hyo room. He removed the knife swiftly and Mayhony cringed from the pain. "Sorry..but this may also hurt..." He placed a strange liquid on her back and gunshot wounds. Afterward he said a prayer of his clan. "You should be fine within 8 hours...Just get some rest now..."

OCC: Okay heads up guys and gals, here's the deal. Sage is going out of town so we're changing the plot. She'll be gone a week to a week and a half. In both the story and life. So we're switching things around so she doesn't miss the good parts. Due to her injuries Mayhony has to put the raid off for a while and heal up. In the mean time Sage takes a break and goes away to get her thougths together about things. Just PM me when you get back Sage! Thanks!

Mayhony moaned in pain as her wounds burned. She grasped the sheet tighted as pain shot through her body.
"Gods, why can't I die?"
A gental hand on her cheek made her eyes fly open. Syn smiled at her.
"Because, you have better things to do. You know you can't be ready for the raid in two days time."
"I know. Tell everyone to just take it easy, go visit family or somethingfor about a- better yet. Tell them to train for another week or so til i"m back on my feet Syn. Thanks."
Syn nodded and left as Mayhony drifted back to sleep.

Ty turned around with his gun aimed at her, his face expressionless but yet his eyes confused, Sage turned around at that moment Ty pulled the trigger, and Sage cried out in pain as the bullet pierced her leg, she dropped to the ground holding her leg in pain and she looked at him, Sage drew her gun and fired at him, ty didn't move as the bullet nicked his side..but he still stodd there with a cold expression and he walked towards her, tore a piece off his shirt and wrapped it around her leg, when he tightened it she flinched in pain

'That should stop the bleeding,' he spoke coldy

'Ty...your side..' she spoke knowing why he had shot her in the leg..

Ty stood up not looking down at her, 'No amount of pain can ever overcome the bullet you so kindly drove into my heart with your distrust in me,'

With that Ty walked inside leaving her sitting on the ground

Sage slowly stood up and walked inside, Right now Ty should of been yelling at her and calling her a fool...or something...but he didn't, he reacted totally different to what she was use to from him...ages ago he would of yelled at her and cursed her...but now....his attitude was haunting to her..she would of rather him just yell at her than shoot her...mind you...she had seen him many times shoot people in the leg or foot and most would take that as a compliment..because if he shot you to kill you then he hated you but if he shot you to hurt you then it was either because you pissed him off or he wanted to or he just didn't like you...but either way he still shot her and she knew that she had hurt him

Ty had gone into the kitchen to make him a coffee, he then sat down at the table at that moment Syn entered the Kitchen after seeing Sage limping to her room

'Hey Ty what happened to Sage?' questioned Syn

'Shot her,' spoke Ty coldly

Syn looked at him in shock, 'What!...you shot her!,'

Ty just looked at him and then continued to drink his coffee

'Man you shot her,' spoke Syn as he sat down across from Ty, 'You guys have got one wierd relationship going on there....anyway...Mahony's going to be down and out for the next week, she got stabbed but she'll be alright,'

Ty raised an eyebrow, 'So whats happening with the raid?'

'Its been put on hold for now...she said to tell everyone to either train or visit family or do something...' replied syn

ty gave him a slight nod and he drank his coffee, 'We'll right now...I'm going back to my home..tell mahony i'll be back..just need to sort out a few things...'

Ty the stood up from the table and washed his cup out, dried it and placed it back in the carboard in the exact same spot and same way he found it

'What things?' questioned Syn

'My life...' spoke Ty as he walked out, he went to his room grabbed his gear and left without a word to anyone

She sat in her room, and the pain hit her like a ton of bricks. Her heart felt heavy with grief as she thought about his reaction. She knew she hurt him. She knew she betrayed whatever trust he had in her. She touched her leg and couldn't get him out of her mind. She needed to find him. She needed him to understand.

She walked out, without a limp. She didn't feel the pain anymore in her leg.

She walked over to his room and saw he was no where around. Syn passed by and Sage stopped him. "Where's Ty?"

He looked at her with a surprised look. "You guys are just weird."

"Syn, I swear I'll kill you here and now..."

"Alright, don't get in a hissy fit or anything. He said he was going home."

"But we have a JOB to do-"

"Mayhony is out for the week. She was attacked, and she's resting."

Sage's face went pale. She walked over to her room and saw Mayhony laying there. She could see the pain on her face. "Mayhony?"

She opened one eye and smiled. "Take my advice?"

Sage smiled and set next to her. "Well, almost. I'm in a lot of trouble, Mayhony. I cam here to escape from some problems and they seem to be following me. I betrayed his trust, and now I'm afraid I may have lost him for good."

Mayhony smiled and rested her hand on hers. "Go to him, Sage."

"He went home."

"I'm sure you know where he lives."

"He left because he doesn't want to see me, Mayhony, I don't think he'd be happy to see me."

She smiled and Syn walked in right then and sat next to Mayhony. She looked at Syn and then Sage. "Sage, he'd be a fool not to want you around."

Sage looked at them and saw how happy they made each other... She and Ty used to be that way. She couldn't give up on him now. Not when they were so close. She squeezed Mayhony's hand and left. She was going to find him. She wouldn't allow him to push her away.

Stood at the window at the top of the old building, it may have been old on the outside but inside was amazing...with all the money he made by selling everything that he stole...helped him to do the ole place up, he sat out on the ledge next to a delapidated gargoyle , there was one at every corner of the building making it seem haunting...he liked it, The old building was situated around many trees which had grown around it just about covering it completely except for the top where he could see the strees below and he could look out over the city..

He sat there and watched the sun set for a while until it grew dark, he lent back with his feet gangling over the side and his jacket blowing in the forceful winds

'How could she not trust me....,' he said fianlly standing up and walking back inside, blood had stained his clothes from the shot that Sage took at him...he then found him a black shirt in his wardrob, grabbed some other clothes and had a shower, he then walked out with a towel wrapped around his waist, he walked into the kitchen, the whole place was open living, he grabbed the kettle and put it on, he then went to the fridge and pulled out a steak and threw it in the frying pan and began cooking himself something to eat

But while doing that all he could think about was Sage...the one girl who ever got close enought to him to see the real him...the only one who could aim a gun at him and he wouldn't retaliate against her..the only one who touched his heart in a way noone else was able to do....

While his steak was cooking he put on a pair of boxer shorts and decided to walk around in those

He then walked back into the kitchen prepared his tea...

'Sage....why?....I suppose you have your reasons just as I have mine.....I can't say that i've been honest...esspecially with my feelings..i've hidden them from you for most of my life....only because....I don't understand.....' he whispered at he sat down at the table with his food and coffee

She walked inside and saw him. The pain swelled within her heart. She could see the pain in his stature. She knew something was wrong. She knew he wasn't thinking clearly. She was able to walk up next to him, without him even knowing she was there. She put her hand on his shoulder and he spun around and stared at her. He then turned away and looked out his window. "What do you want now?"

"I want to apologize."

"Some things are not that easily forgiven, Sage."

"That's a copout if I've ever heard one." She knew he was just trying to suppress his feelings again.

?Why did you really come back, Sage? There are always two stories with you. The one you want me to hear, and the one that?s really the truth.?

?You?re not being fair, Ty.?

?I?m not being fair? It seems to me you?ve been the one doing the lying around here.?

?Ty, don?t you think I had my reasons for not saying anything? I didn?t even want to think it was true. When I came back, I finally had evidence that proved Nicholas is after me. Until then, I couldn?t be sure. Don?t you see? I didn?t want to worry you if there wasn?t anything to worry about.?

?The first assassin should have been proof enough Sage.?

She stared at him, She couldn?t find it in herself to be upset with him. She didn?t want to be upset anymore. She was tired of causing him pain with her words..

?Ty, you?re upset with me for not being truthful. But you won?t even be truthful with yourself.?

He turned around and stared at her. He didn?t understand what he was doing. A part of him wanted to hold her, but the part of him he was use to, told him to ignore her. To keep her away, and that sooner or later, she?d get the hint.

But she wasn?t leaving him alone.

?Why are you doing this??

?I want your trust in me, Ty. I can?t lose you now.?

?I don?t want these feelings.? He said sounding frustrated. ?I want them to just go away.?

?Now you?re lying Ty. You know you want these feelings.? She said as she held his hand. ?You know there is something good here, Ty. Don?t let it slip away.?

He looked at her and his thoughts went everywhere. She stared at him and rested her hand on his heart. His heart skipped a beat when she touched his chest. She looked down and felt his heart beating faster..

"Ty, I know what you're feeling.."

"... I don't even know what I'm feeling, Sage."

She stared at her hand on his chest and then grabbed his hand and placed it to his chest too. He felt his own heart beating. It seemed as if it would explode. She looked up at him, and he became even more confused. He didn't know where she was getting at with all of this.

"I know what you're feeling, because I feel it too." she said as she then took his hand, and placed it over her heart. He felt her heart beating faster than his... he understood. She felt the same way he did. She felt what he felt... He felt this way whenever he was around her... and now he knew she felt it too?

He shut his eyes tightly as he put his head down. There were so many emotions running through him that he had never felt before... emotions that made his body shake with fear. He had faced everything in his life... he had faced death, he faced torment, and pain... he had once feared, and overcome it all... But this was a new fear he had never felt before... and his fear rose with each and every second he was with her. The fear became a rush he craved for... he craved for the new fear he felt...

"I love you Ty... do you trust me enough to know I?m telling you the truth?"

Ty looked up at her...his face looking lost, confused..even tormented by it all...he was craving for something he had been able to supress for most of his life...he even hated it..but now...it had over come him...and left him feeling confused

Quickly he let go of her hand and stood up and walked into the kitchen and lent against the counter looking out the window

Sage wasn't going to let him suppress it any more, she quickly moved up behind him and spun him around

'Ty! look at me!,' she growled, Ty turned his back on her and again she spun him around, 'Look at me!!,'

Ty backed away from her, 'Please don't..'

'No I will make you see Ty!...now look at me,' she snapped again as she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him forcefully, Tys heart felt as though it had stopped within that moment...but he could resist it anymore, he wrapped his arms around her as she pulled him closer pressing her body against him, they then walked back into the fridge where he pressed her against it while still kissing her, he ran his hand over her chest but then suddenly realised what he was doing and quickly pulled away

His body shaking nervously and Sage could see it..the fear in his eyes grew wild as back up into the counter and looked at her, both of them were breathing heavily and their hearts racing out of control

?I?m not letting you ignore your feelings, Ty. They?re there. You know they are. You just don?t want to see it? because your comfortable with being blind to love.?

?I don?t want these feelings?? he said trying not to look at her.

?Damn it, Ty, they?re there whether you want them or not.? She said staring at him. ?Now you can either live in doubt, and ignore them, and refuse to see them, or you can accept the feelings. No matter what, they will always be in you.?

Ty looked up slowly. His eyes were blood shot from everything he felt. He couldn't help himself anymore... he needed her, he needed to go with what his body was telling him to do.

She sensed his hesitation. She walked over to him and placed her hand on his face gently. He stared at her and he was afraid. He couldn?t control the fear he felt. It washed over him, and he thought as if he was going to lose everything. The feeling was intense, and it scared him.

?I can?t do this, Sage. I?m not use to these feelings??

?And you think I am? I'm scared as hell right now, Ty... But I love you, and I refuse to ignore these feelings that are tormenting me inside.? She looked at him and kissed him gently.

Ty's body shuddered as her kiss sent his emotions flying out of control, he tried to back away but Sage wouldn't let him and he couldn't because of the counter, he wanted her badly and this time he let his emotions go....he put his arms around her and pulled her closer to him, as she wrapped her arms around his neck

Everything he had closed up and hidden for most of his life now came to surface which made his need grow stronger, his heart pounded violently inside his chest

'I can't....stop it any more...' he whsipered as his body began to tremble as he looked at her...'I can't fight it anymore...'

And Sage silenced him with a kiss of longing and wanting

Her mind circled as they?re emotions, their feelings had gotten the better of them. He wanted her, and she could feel his desire. She wanted him too... She knew that this was only the beginning. She wrapped her arms around him, and he pressed his hand against the back of her head, pressing his lips harder over hers. She knew he was afraid... she knew because for once, she was afraid as well... He kept kissing her, and she let the feeling wrap itself around her... she loved every minute of his lips over her... she craved it? she kissed him and he broke away as he looked into her eyes. She knew what he was feeling... she knew what he wanted. It was as if their thoughts and desires had already become one.

He looked at her and shuddered inside? he knew her? he knew how to make her happy, he knew what things made her sad. He knew everything about her. She was his only friend in life. And he knew her inside and out. And now, he was given the chance to know her completely?

Ty stood rubbing the back of his neck as he looked at her, his eyes still blood shot, he then grbbed her again and hungrily kissed her, she smiled as he began taking off her clothes..he wanted her..suddenly he pulled away from her again his breathing was rapid,

'It's ok,' she smiled as she took his hand and led him to the bed that was situated on the other side of the room

She then kissed him gently sending his emothions everywhere as he pulled her towards him, his mind went into another world..a world...he actually liked as she ran her hands up his chest, she could feel that he was scared..but she could feel his need..his need for the one thing he had never felt before....love

She laid over him looking down at his eyes. She was lost in them again as her hair cascaded to the side of her face. She felt his body with her hands as she stared into his eyes. She loved everything about him? and it was thrilling to be near him. She smiled as she sat up and looked down at him, she pulled him into a kiss, and she started pushing her body against his so they were closer than what they had ever been before. She rolled him over her and looked at him. He wanted her badly, and she smiled. She arched her back and he went into her. She sighed with passion as their bodies became one. Her emotions ran through her like fire as she pulled him down harder. He pushed down on her, and she took it all in. She smiled at him as he continued pushing. She put her hands on his back as she pulled him closer to her, almost smothering her. She wanted to feel him near to her... nearer than they had ever been before.

Ty's body shuddered in excitement but still in fear as he looked down at her...he had never felt like this before...first it hurt...and he buried his face into her hair as he had slid into her, his body shaking at the pain but within that instance it turned into the pleasure that he had never felt...and it excited him he wanted more...he wanted it all

A groan slipped passed his mouth as she pulled him in, he lowered his head and kissed her bare chest as she arched into him, he cocked himself up on one arm as he caressed her body with his lips and she shuddered to his touch

The passion was intense as their heat mingled with groans of pleasure and excitement and he drove in deeper as she moaned and moved beneath him, she placed her hands on his waist and pulled him in more and he put his head back as sweat formed all over their bodies and they became drenched, their breathing was heavy and hot, she could feel him throbbing, his heart racing against her chest as was hers as he lay put all his weight on her and kissed her neck, as her hands ran over his back feeling every muscle that tensed with every movement and her nails dug in hard and pierced his skin and he softly groaned with a mixture of pleasure and pain

She whispered his name, and he drove in deeper. Her heart felt as if it would fail her at any point in time. She felt his lips over her, and the excitement overwhelmed her. She looked up at him and he began kissing her neck, She arched up into him with as much force as she possibly could, She wanted him badly. She shook underneath him in fear, and excitement. The feeling was like no other she had ever felt before, And she never wanted to be without him? she loved him too much to lose him now. She trailed her hands down his back. He responded by touching her body even more as he pushed down on her. She ran her fingers through his hair as their bodies moved relentlessly over one another. Sounds of pleasure escaped their lips as their movements became faster than it had even been before.

She looked up at him and smiled as his gaze met hers. "I love you Ty... and I always will." she said softly. He smiled and kissed her softly. Tears came to her eyes, she had never been happier in her entire life... and she was grateful she was given the chance to love him the way she had always wanted to.

Ty felt a serge of pleasure roll over him....he gripped the sheets as she arched up into him and gripped his shoulders, they groaned as their passion hit high and he drove in one last time, he felt as though he was going to explode as his heart raced as she pushed up harder into him

'Ty.....,' she cried out his name as she dug in her nails and he shuddered on top of her and groaned softly...he then colapsed on her, both of them breathing rapidly, Ty was shaking as he cocked himself up on one arm both of them drenched in sweat, Ty brushed the hair out of her face and kissed her gently as he slid to the side of her and rolled on to his back and she turned to face him, she rested her head on his shoulder and he put his arm around her, the sheets were wrapped around them as they lay there

Ty's heart was still racing and his body still shaking from the moment

'Sage...' he whispered her name as she looked up at him, 'You are right...I have been hiding my feelings from you for a long time....I was just scared..although i'm still confused about Love...I know one thing....if love is what these feelings are..then I've...loved...you for a long time,'

'Oh Ty...' she spoke softly as she sat up and kissed him gently which made his heart beat fast again,

Ty looked at her as she pulled away, 'Thank you...' he whispered with a soft smile

She laid on his shoulder and carressed his body as she smiled. "No... thank you Ty.. that's all I've ever wanted to hear." she said as they laid there in each others company, enjoying the warmth that surrounded them. Sage smiled to herself. She was truly happy. And for once, everything seemed right in her life...

Syn sat at the kitchen table; soda in one hand, magazine in the other. Hyo sat down across the table from him.

"Everything alright, Syn?"

"No, not really."

"You're worried about Mahony, aren't you?"

"No shit, Sherlock."

"She's going to be perfectly fine in a week or so."

"Yeah, I know that but...it feels like there was something I should have done."

"Hey, she went out on her own because she knows how to defend herself. That and because she's probably stronger than almost anyone around here."

"Yeah. Hey, since we have about an extra week before this whole thing goes down you planning on going back to your folks'? Hyo nodded. "Well, tell them I said hey."
Syn tossed a bag to Hyo. "It's got about five thousand in there, figured they could use it more than me."

"Thank you."

"No problem. Just make sure it gets there, alright?" Syn stood up and entered Mahony's room.

"Hey," Syn began in a quiet tone. "you need anything?"

"No, I"m good."

"When you first came back all bloody and beaten, I seriously thought that you may not make it. Stupid as that sounds. That...that was one of the first times I've really ever been worried for someone that much."

Mahony cracked a weak smile. "Fool, you need to have more faith in me than that. This is just a couple dozen flesh wounds, nothing that serious..."

"You call a dagger sticking outta your back 'just a flesh wound'? Damn you're tough...or insane. Can't really tell." Syn laughed.

Mahony chuckled. "Hey, since you're offering, I guess I wouldn't mind a glass of water or something."

Syn nodded and fetched a glass of water. "Here, icy cold and definately refreshing. You know, if you would have told me four years ago that I'd be about to lift the world's largest gem; A, I'd say you were crazy. And, B, I'd probably have slapped the taste from your mouth."

Mahony took a drink of her water. "Syn..."

"Yeah, do ya need something else?"

Mahony shook her head.

"Alright then, I'd better scoot so you can get some sleep." He leaned over and kissed her on the lips. "We need you at a hundred percent if we're to stand a chance of getting that crystal." Syn said with a wink as he ran a hand across her body.

"Syn, you can stay in here if you want."

"Oh? You actually trust me?"

"How else will I be able to have you go get me stuff if you can't hear?"

"Right, should have known. Go to sleep."

Syn grabbed an old chair and set it near Mahony's bed. He glanced over at Mahony as she drifted into slumber.

Syn sighed, "Anything at all for the one you love..." Moments later he too fell asleep.

Senkai grew restless....The waiting was begining to get to him, he had finally fully recovered from his injuries, only to find that pretty much everybody was injured now whether it be serious physical wounds, or possibly irreversible mental ones.
As he lie in bed not being able to sleep he decided it was time to do some investigating.

An hour later he arrived at the hut. Walking in sat an old man of at least 80 years.
"Senkai...why have you returned?" The old man hissed.
"Why did you send Meg after me?" Senkai hissed back, now aware of the twenty or thirty men outside of the hut.
"I did not send Meg, she acted on her own. But I see you did not hesitate to finish her off, just as you finished my business when you left and disgraced your band" The old man rose to his feet, he seemed old and defensless, but Senkai new him better.
"You were doing only evil Oriko, and I was not going to be apart of it. Be glad I did not finish you then" Senkai snarled threatingly.
"My evil was going to make you rich, but now since you've returned it'll only bring you death" Oriko snapped his fingers, and on cue 8 knives came flying in from everydirection, but knowing this routine from being part of it, Senkai rolled backwards, and dropping a smoke gernade vanished without a trace.

A few hours later back in his room a grin crossed Senkai's face. [I]Well they obviously knew nothing of the raid....but I'm sure they're getting my little present about now.[/I] Senkai grinned as he visioned what happened, he set up the trap to go off about two hours after he left to avoid any chances he could get caught in it. Over a dozen daggers set on the base of a miniature claymore mine with the blastcap pointed right towards the hut. Even if he survived the blast it was not likely Oriko dodged even one of those daggers. [I]I guess you know who is the real master now Oriko....you may have trained me in the black arts of the ninja....but my father taught me the honorable code of the Samaurai, and the vengence runs very deap when you kill another Samurai.[/I] Senkai had to stiffle a laugh, he was certain everyone was aleep, and the death of Oriko would be blasted all over the news the next day.

Satisfied for now, Senkai drifted into a deap deap sleep.

When she woke up she saw Ty standing near the window with his guns in his hands. Confused, she sat up to see what was wrong. She looked over at him and saw the puddle of blood on the floor around a dead man. She stared at the corpse in shock.

"They know you're here."

She looked at Ty and he just kept staring outside the window. She got out of bed and put one of his shirts on as she walked over to his side. She placed a hand on his shoulder and then knelt down over the body.

"I already searched him. All he held was the order for your assassination."

"I'm sorry Ty..." she said staring at the man. She recognized him. He was one of Nicholas' personal assassins. She stood up and wiped the blood off her hands.

Ty just looked at her. He could see the pain in her eyes. For once, he wished he could at least see her in fear. To know that she was scared, would assure him she wouldn't try anything rash. But he knew all she felt was pain. She didn't even think about her own life. She only thought about what her actions do to those around her. And he wished for once she would just think about herself for a change. He walked over to her and kissed her gently. "You didn't do anything wrong, Sage."

"He's after me because of my own clumsiness. And now I've brought you in the middle of all this."

"Sage, you are my life now. Anything happens to you, and the same happens to me."

"But don't you see, Ty? I feel the same way about you... I can't believe I allowed myself to put you in danger."

"Sage, we're always in danger."

"I'm being tracked, Ty. What am I suppose to do? If I go back to Mayhony, then we're all screwed." she said angrily.

"We're not going to allow that to happen."

"Ty, how in the world are we suppose to dodge this any longer? He knows where I am at all times."

"I'm not going to allow anything to happen to you. No one will take you away from me.. not now, not ever"

She looked at him, and she felt a deep sadness in her heart. "Ty, he's going to keep sending assassins until they finish the job."

"I'm going to get you out of this. And this is the part where you have to trust me. I won't let anyone hurt you."

She looked up at him and tears formed in her eyes... it was so hard for her to be able to trust anyone. But Ty made it possible for her.

"I don't want you to pay for my mistakes Ty..." she whispered.

"I'm not going to give you that choice." he said staring at her. "Do you trust me, Sage?"

Tears fell from her eyes. She nodded silently and gently wrapped her arms around his neck. She kissed him lightly and laid her head on his shoulder as she cried. The tears fell, and she shuddered. She was afraid... never in her life had she ever feared that she could die... but she wanted to live. She wanted to live for him. She wanted to be with him, and he gave her reason to want to live. And to trust him entirely made her feel weak, but undeniably strong at the same time. She wasn't alone anymore.

Ty suddenly pushed Sage away as a bullet smashed through the window and missed them both, Sage looked up at him and watched him, he ran to a nearby closet and pulled out a sniper rifle, he ran back to the window, and peered out looking down on the streets below....*movement* something moved out the corner of his eye....an assassin.....he lined up the dark figure...pulled the trigger....a smouldered gunshot and then the figure fell.....he searched the streets making sure that nothing else moved...but there was nothing

Ty then looked at Sage, 'If they know your here then they'll know where Mahony's hideout is....lets move,'

Sage quickly put on a pants and still wore Ty's shirt, Ty quickly put on a black singlet and his jacket along with his black pants and boots and they ran out the door and down the many flights of stairs

Ty suddenly stopped

'What...' Sage started but Ty placed a hand over her mouth, his eyes narrowed, he then pulled out his magnum and kissed it, he then carefully moved to the railing, shadows moved along the walls, a hand appeared on the railing below them, Ty then aimed his gun at the point where they would appear

Ty pulled the trigger as an assassin apeared running up the stairs towards them, the man fell, then another and then another, Ty listened again, grabbed Sages hand and they ran down the rest of the stairs, passed the bodies and out into the streets, he grabbed her around the mouth and pulled her off into the shadows where he covered her with his jacket and turned his face away from the street, three men then ran passed dressed in black, they quickly ran inside not noticing Ty and Sage who sat about two meters away from the entrance, Ty slowly turned his head, scanned the streets making sure that it was safe and they ran for the alleyway across the street and disappeared

'We need to get to the hideout...hopefully....they haven't been there...mind you i'm sure the others would beable to take the bastards out,' spoke Ty coldy as they ran

Mayhony limped through her house, regaurdless of what Syn and Hyo had said. She was comfortable with Syn, he was warm and she had felt safe. But a chill had run up her spine as she head Senkai reenter the house. She now stood infront of his door breathing heavily. She rapped on his dorr and waited. He openened the door and she saw his ees grow wide.
"Mayhony what are you-"
"Cut the crap. What band did you come from before you met me. I want the truth Senkai. No more running. You and Sage both have a problem with running."
'And you have a problem with taking care of your-self."
Mayhony moved quicker than he could see.
"I may be injuered but I can still kill you Senkai. Answer my question. Now. Who did you work for?"

Sage looked behind her and cursed under her breath.

?What?? Ty said stopping. He knew they had to get going.

?My gun? I left it in your room??

?Sage? we don?t have time.?

?Damn? I know, I know?? she said as she picked up the pace and ran. They saw four more figures coming out of the other side of the alley. He stopped her and watched as the men inched their way forward. Ty pulled out his gun and waited for the right time to shoot. If he shot one, the others would be aware of their location, and call more of them their way. He waited until he had all of them in range and made four split second shots, each one falling to their death.

Sage ran over to them as Ty tried to stop her. ?We need to keep moving, Sage..? he said sounding slightly annoyed.

?It?s alright, they won?t be needing these anymore.? She said as she grabbed two of their guns and plenty of bullets. She cocked the gun and loaded it as they ran. She wished she grabbed their holsters as well, but she didn?t think she would have had anytime.

Several bullets rang through the air as Ty pushed Sage against the Alley wall. He looked around them and knew where each and every attacker was within seconds. ?Three behind this wall, and two above.?

?Five? that?s not good??

?I?d say they have at least a 2 to l advantage." He said as he looked down at her.

She smiled. ?Well that?s? not so bad when you look at it that way.? She said. The men closed in on them quickly. Ty looked at Sage, and Sage understood his plan. Within a blink of an eye, Ty shot the two from the rooftops as Sage knelt down under him and shot the three coming from behind. She listened for a while to hear if anyone else was coming.

?I think we?re clear for the moment.? She watched him as he reloaded his gun.

?What now?? he said noticing her smile.

?Nothing? I just think you look pretty good with a gun at your side.? She said.

He laughed a little and pulled her in for a kiss. She smiled as she broke away and laughed. ?Anymore of this, and we won?t be getting anywhere soon.? She said as she grabbed what holsters she could find. When she was ready, she nodded as he looked up past the wall.

?We?re going to need a plan, Sage? if we keep running to Mayhony?s, they?ll follow us and be able to contact Nicholas, and the hideout will definitely be given away.?

?Alright? so what do we do? Wait until they forget, and hope they don?t leave for the raid without us??

?The Zeal Crystal is the last thing on my mind Sage. It should be the last thing on your mind as well. You need to be more concerned about your life right now.?

?I know? I know.? She spotted two coming up from behind Ty and from the side. She looked at him, and his gun was already out. He fired a shot from over his shoulder as Sage got the second one from the side of him. He grabbed her hand and ran the rest of the way to a small garage. He pulled her into the corner and waited.

Three more assassins came running in and began searching the garage. Ty looked on as 7 more came in from the rear entrance. He looked at her and her eyes darkened. They were trapped.

He refused to believe that he could have possibly fallen for this. He looked around and studied the area. He spotted a parked car with gas leaking from the gas door of the car. He looked at her and pushed her down against the corner. ?Cover your face, Sage?? he said as he looked at her. He wasn?t sure at what damage he may cause. But he knew that this was there best bet of getting out. 5 more came in and they all laughed as they searched for them.

?Come on, Sage, you?re surrounded. There?s no way you and your boyfriend can get out of here alive.?

Ty looked down at her and she stared out coldly toward the direction of the voices. There was no more fear in her eyes. He looked up and waited for the perfect time to strike. As he heard footsteps coming, he counted 15 and aimed for the fuel, as he shot at the car fuel door, and the explosion pummled the area, nearly knocking Ty out. He turned around quickly as the explosion started a chain reaction throughout the garage. He covered Sage as the debris flew everywhere around them. The entire garage fell in a heap of rubble.

Ty looked up and saw the scattered bodies around the floor along with the debris. He looked down at Sage. ?Are you alright?? he asked.

She looked around and nodded. She looked back at him and kissed him passionately. ?I love you, Ty??

He caressed her face with his hand. ?Nothing will happen to you. Not while I?m here.." He said. He lifted her to her feet and they walked out of the wreckage all around them.

Ty looked around and carefully scanned every part that surrounded them, Sage looked at him..his eyes were darting around them

'Come on,' he said as he grabbed her arm and they ran taking the long way back to the hideout, and with every second Ty searched around them...watching the darkness carefully

'They not around anymore...we've gotten rid of them,' he spoke coldly

They carefully walked through the forest making sure that they weren't being followed...but they never were

Ty sent Sage in to talk to Mahony to tell her to get ready just incase of something happened, This gave Ty a better chance of making sure that noone had followed them, He smiled as he slipped into the darkness and waited..but noone had followed, Ty then searched the area one more time going over every inch before walking back inside

'Hey your back,' said Syn, Ty looked at him as he closed the door, Ty was back in full focus once again and his mind was on the job, as he walked into the kitchen and made him a hot coffee and then sat down at the table

"Fine, don't talk." Syn stuck his tongue out at Ty.

"Syn, have you noticed anything suspicious lately?"

"You mean aside from people coming and going as they please, you two running off, and Senkai disappearing and reappearing? No, not really. Mmm...side note, I already know what happened with you and Sage while you were gone."

Ty raised his gun at Syn.

"God-damn, kid! Settle down! I only meant that as a joke, you know to lighten the mood."

"Syn, duck."

"Right-o." Syn dove for the floor as Ty fired off a couple round towards the window. A muffled groan and the sound of a gun hitting the ground could be heard.

"I'm really starting to hate your past. Let me guess, there's gonna be more of them?" Syn asked. Ty nodded. "Well, shit. Need a hand?"

"Your choice...kid." Ty responded.

Syn ran under the cover of the tables towards his room. Once there, he reached into his closet, found his belt, and grabbed his "Emergency Use Only" Desert Eagles. After grabbing a few extra magazines, he rushed back into the kitchen and rejoined Ty.

"Aren't those a bit...big? Ty remarked after seeing Syn equipment.

"Nah, the grips are a perfect fit. Now, do me a favor and lay down some cover fire will ya? I'm taking this back to them."

"Suicidal, are we? Just don't take me with you."

"Not a chance." Ty rose and started firing. Syn ran out the door...and found nothing. "Son of a bitch. They ran after just one shot. I wanted to do my 'Bullet Dance'."

"Either they left because they lost the element of surprise, or there was no one out the except some unlucky bastard carrying a gun."

Syn walked out and examined the body. "Would some unlucky bastard wear an Armani suit in a forest or carry two MP5K SMGs? I think not."

Sage heard the gun shots and ran. When she got there, she saw Syn and Ty outside. Syn was examining the dead body as Sage walked over to Ty.

?Don?t know yet...? he said as if he read her mind. She looked over and saw this one looked different then the other Assassins that were sent after her. She looked at Syn... ?Mind if I look??

?Help yourself to the dead man.? He said as he backed up and smiled at Ty. Ty just stared him down as if he was promising to kill him. Syn smiled weakly and backed away.

?He?s definitely from Nicholas?? she said as she looked at Ty. ?He was one of Nicholas? top gun men.?

?And his friends leave him in a second? Damn, tough break.? Syn said.

Sage looked back at the body as she took the man?s handkerchief and wiped the blood from her hands. ?Dammit?? she said as she stared. ?I shouldn?t stay. I?m putting the raid in danger.?

?The raid apparently is already in danger.?

She looked at Syn. ?What do you mean??

?Mahony said something about there not being enough time. She actually wanted to go yesterday, but she?s not in any condition to go anywhere.?

Sage looked up and heard a noise. She stood up slowly and stared at Ty. Ty nodded and Syn just guessed that something was up. She turned around quickly and shot at the bushes. 2 men fell in a heap of blood.

?Looks as if I?m patrolling the area tonight.? She said as she walked over to the bodies.

?You?re not out here alone, Sage.? Said Ty as he stared at her. She looked back and smiled a little.

Syn looked at the both of them and laughed. ?Nope, I had my heart set on using my guns. Besides, someone has to watch the two of you. Don?t want you guys getting side tracked or anything.?

Ty was about to shoot him in the leg, but Sage put a hand on his gun. Ty looked at her and she could tell he was about to go mad.

"Syn, we're going for a walk. Can you take care of this section?"

"Fine, I'll take good care of this area. Just take care of yourselves." he was about to put in another side comment, but decided against it when he saw how pissed off Ty looked.

Ty walked with Sage, and when they were out of sight, Sage took his hand. "He's just trying to be friendly Ty."

"Well he has a rude way of showing it."

"That's just the way he is. Don't let people get the better of you."

"I'm not. I just felt like shooting him, that?s all."

She laughed and kissed him lightly. She stared into his eyes, and kissed him again, with more passion. She broke away and smiled as he held her. She rested her head on his shoulder, and he ran his hand through her hair.

She sensed someone behind them and pulled out one of Ty's guns from his holster and shot out at the distance. They heard a cry and she ran over to the man. He had been shot in the chest, but he had not died yet.

"Damn you!!" she said as she was about to shoot him again and finish the job. "You and your boss can go to HELL!!!" she almost pulled the trigger when Ty came up right behind her and put the gun down. She shot at the ground and the man under her cringed in pain. She looked at Ty and Ty stared at her. She stared at him for a while as the man cursed at them. He knelt down at the body and looked at the man.

"Damn you bastard, DAMN YOU AND YOUR-"

Ty in a split second had his other gun out and pushed the barrel to the man's head. "You were saying?"

He laughed, "Pull the trigger, I can give a -"

"Don't tempt me. You're not a personal Assassin of his, are you?"

"What's it to you?" he snarled.

"Why give your life for someone you aren't even loyal to?"

"My allegiences are my problem."

"You're right, it is your problem. And you're about to die over them."

"What do you want?" he said evenly through the pain.

"I want to know where he is, and how you keep in contact with him."

"Why would I tell you any of this?" the man spat out.

"Because I'm going to kill you if you don't." Ty said calmly, but eerily. Sage just watched, but couldn't help but feel a haunting chill creep over her as she watched Ty's interrogation. It was even scaring her..

"Damn ... you ...."

Ty pushed the barrel harder into his skull. "Do you think I'm making empty threats here??" he screamed. The man stared at the gun and froze.

"Nicholas is in Trennor. I keep in contact with him through my recorder."

Ty stared at him, his gaze not faltering for a second.

"If we finish the job, our recorder is sent to the hit man put in charge of the operation. This is where he sends the tape to Nicholas Gervine. Gervine looks at the tape and has it analyzed. If it passes, we are paid through the hit men."

"What is this tape suppose to entail?"

The man took a breath and closed his eyes. "A dead victim..."

"How would that prove anything?? I could fake my death for anyone."

Ty stared at the man. He knew what he was getting at. He had seen jobs like this be done by others...

He took another deep breath. "By Mutilation... Each assassin is given a dagger in which we are to completely dispose of her on tape."

Sage froze as she stared at the man. She had never heard of such tactics. Her stomach turned. She had never felt so cold. She lifted her gun again as if to shoot the man, but Ty knew what she was planning. Within a second, he was up. She tried to shoot herself but he pulled the gun out of her hand. She stood there still in fear, not moving. The man on the floor started laughing.

"What do you expect, Girl? You rid the world of one Gangster, and you get another in his place."

Ty looked at her and she shook with fear... he looked back at the man who was laughing hysterically at her pain. She shuddered with each taunt. Without looking, Ty grabbed his gun and silenced the man with a few rounds into the man's head.

She jumped with each bullet. He held her in his arms and tried to comfort her. But she wouldn't stop shaking...
